Peacock of CNN, Jim Acosta, Spreads Misquote on Twitter, Then, When It Is Proven Conclusively That He Is Spreading Fake News, Doubles Down on the Lie

When will Twitter suspend Jim Acosta for deliberately spreading fake news?

Oh, that's right. The Credentialed Media can lie as much as they like. They define reality.

But what Trump actually said is that frivolous claims clog up the system and prevent the meritorious claims from being processed.

Instead of admitting he got it wrong (or deliberately lied), Acosta chooses to argue that he is right... in spirit!

Trump said some of those claims are hoaxes.

And he's right. If you consider eighty percent to suffice to be called "some."

Garbage. Absolute garbage. He should be mass-reported to Twitter, just to force Twitter into the position of having to admit that reporters can do anything on Twitter, including spreading complete fictions and unhinged conspiracy theories.

To be fair, they are pretty much all frivolous claims. I doubt there were more than a handful, literally, of legitimate asylum claims in the past year. That means five or less.

Just because you were born in a shithole does not make for any valid claim for asylum (which we are far too free and easy with, to start with). Asylum isn't about living in a shitty country. ALmost every country in the world is a shitty country.

But, the dems, the Vichy Republicans and our treasonous courts all think they are in power to represent non-Americans and that Americans are obligated to give up everything they and everything they are so that the rest of the world might have some nice stuff for a few minutes and, maybe, feel good about themselves until America is gone and it all goes back to how it was - but now everywhere.

The Trump administration is relentless - and shrewd - in getting stuff done. Like this

Trump Admin Notifies 500,000+ Employers They Have Workers With Bogus Social Security Numbers

the article, linked from tgp is at the nyt

LOS ANGELES -- The Trump administration is notifying tens of thousands of employers that the names of some of their employees do not match their Social Security numbers, a move that is forcing businesses across the country to brace for the loss of thousands of workers who lack legal status.

The Social Security Administration has mailed "no-match letters" to more than 570,000 employers since March, sending shock waves through the hospitality, construction and agriculture industries, which rely heavily on undocumented workers. The letters have left many employers conflicted, uncertain whether to take action that could result in losing workers or to risk fines down the road.

They cannot stop this freight train. They will do whatever it takes.

This used to go under the radar. The don't look, don't tell policies.

Trump is pushing stuff that they know is wrong and that the American people will not like. He can't go wrong bringing this stuff to the forefront. People are naive and ignorant of what has been going on and the destruction to the country. How could they know all of it? They are busy working hard and raising families. The left and big biz and the globalists know this.

107 To be fair, they are pretty much all frivolous claims. I doubt there were more than a handful, literally, of legitimate asylum claims in the past year. That means five or less.

ALL claims for asylum at the southern border are frivolous, by definition, because the "asylum seekers" are in Mexico, and could perfectly well stay there.

It'd be like asylum seekers crossing the US to seek asylum in Canada, if Canada were more prosperous than the US. It's straight-up economic opportunism.

117 I have thought of a very good way to bring down Facebook and Twitter which does not involve any content restriction or policing, and which would be completely legal and in fact, rather easy to do. (Well, it would require Congress)

Pass a bill stating that it is illegal for any Corporation to resell it's users information unless they have specific, written, consent, AND that consent must be done individually, each time, for every single sale. If one signature is missed, that user will be able to collect a fine of $100,000.00 from the company who failed to obtain it. Also, this list of signatures would be provided to Federal Regulators before any sale of information could proceed.

To put this in layman's terms, this would mandate that for every single sale of it's information to any business user, Facebook would have to collect and compile over 200 million signatures in this country alone.

That ought to put a hitch in their giddyup.

A good buddy has one of these, except it isn't a Hemi, it's a 383. All original, he built his detached garage to house it and a few others. Olive green / black interior. Still worth well over $100k. But he will never sell it. He isn't even 29 yet, and healthy, but his boys will certainly fight over it in the future.

It took him a couple of years of negotiation with his wife to get the garage built. The closer was when she finally believed what the car was worth.

327 The Corvair wasn't a BAD car, but GM made the conscious decision to NOT to put a $5 piece of pipe in the rear suspension and thus, "unsafe at any speed."

GM is the poster child of a business "shithole."

329 301 Arguably, the Neon, a few years later, was what the K-Car should have been.
Posted by: Curmudgeon at May 17, 2019 02:55 PM (ujg0T)

You mean a horrible piece of shit that girls thought looked cute?

The K-car was the Box Props of cars, when you got inside you realized everything was 80% scale. It was not a particularly small car, but they had to engineer the proportions down so that it looked like a 'traditional' Detroit sedan, so it was tiny inside, even compared to BMW 320s and VW Passats that were a little smaller externally.

The Neon was not the worst piece of hardware ever built, and a much better package than the K-car, but man was it a cheap piece of tin.

GM was putting 350's in their early 70's Monte Carlos and Cutlasses that put out a whopping 130 ponies!

Spitfire was a cool car. You're thinking of the TR7/8

335 The caravans are simply red-herrings that the media can latch on to - 2,000-20,000. In the meantime those amount of illegals are coming across the border, daily.
ICE is releasing 10s of thousands in our cities, all around the country.
I am quite tired of the the He said/He said. It is meaningless.

Maybe the TR7. The Spitfire predates the Fiero by a lot.

341 I looked at a TR7 once with an interest to buy. It had actual window putty in the body seams. Soft putty.

I decided against.

True, but the "how a few bucks extra safety part could have saved a lot of bad press and lawsuits" story comes to mind.

Posted by: Curmudgeon at May 17, 2019 03:15 PM (ujg0T)

344 Bought an 84 Silverado, paid extra for saddle tanks, cool. Or the two tanks only carried 4 gallons more than the standard tank. And you weren't supposed to run the tank dry.

My old 1973 Ford, with saddle tanks, you could run tank one dry before switching over. And the saddles carried 15 gallons more than the standard tank.

Yes, but those things were HORRIBLE in wet conditions. Especially if you had cheap tires. That thing was treacherous.

My first boss when I got into the telecom industry had a silver Fiero as his daily commuter car.

But when he died in an accident about a year later it was on his Harley (asshole scrunt pulled out in front of him on a highway without looking where she was going).

As dangerous as some cars are, the worst of them are better than being on a motorcycle, safety-wise.

350 A mid-engine little sporty car with nice styling was a smart move but they put GM engineers on it so it sucked. The Neon was a much better move, even if it wasn't as good as it looked. Ford always pissed me off though, they were making really nice cars in England under the Cosgrove badge and crap here at home. Why??

Yeah it was no more unsafe than most muscle/pony cars of the time. Nader just needed a way to make his name.
