Does anyone in the whole world think this is a bona-fide effort to "start a conversation" about mental health? Doesn't everyone see right through this and understand this is advertising-on-the-cheap through Twitter-based WTF marketing? Our close friend found out yesterday that her homeless, schizophrenic father died seven months ago. Dherrifs office has been looking for next of kin.
The whole story there is heartbreaking but it reminded me again of how idiotic our current laws are regarding care of the mentally ill.

People who use handicapped parking spaces when they aren't handicapped, but merely are grossly obese, and really need the exercise. Their spaces should be about a quarter-mile away.
A couple years ago I broke my ankle, but used to park like anybody else, and hobbled in on crutches, no biggie. I often passed land whales who were perfectly able to walk but parked in handicapped spaces (with placards). I used to give them a contemptuous glare. I can walk in with a broken ankle, but you have to park in the lobby to waddle in? Screw you, but thanks for sequestering all that carbon.

I have total sympathy for people who are really handicapped. A few days ago, I saw a guy in a wheelchair struggling to get into his car. I offered to lend a hand, but he declined, with thanks. A stand-up guy, in my book.

Back in 1986, when I had to see a mental health counselor every Friday morning (long story), I would always stop at the nearby Cerritos Mall on the way home, where they had a very nice-for-the-time BK.
I would literally stuff myself. TWO whoppers, chicken strips with horseradish sauce (that I still miss), Coke *and* a large strawberry shake.
Many times, it was the best meal I had all week. I'm probably still trying to work off some of those calories.

And by bailed, I mean on those rare road-trip 9th hour I'm starving to death but really gotta pee times when there's a giant cloverleaf mega-intersection of two super highways, and BK and a Chevron happens to be on my side, I'll spend the extra couple of minutes going to Del Taco and Shell or McDonald's and Arco or whatever is the next closest.
In N Out, Five Guys, Habit Grill, on and on area all cheaper and 100x better tasting. Plus, I won't have that weird smelly ooze coming out of my pores 3 hours after I eat there.

My father was back in Hawaii, after Iwo Jima, IIRC. He wasn't all that thrilled about VE Day, since the 4th Marine Division was scheduled to be in the first wave to land on the Japanese home islands in Operation Downfall.
Now when the Nips got nuked and surrendered, THEN he was thrilled, because then the 4th Marine Division was off the hook.

I've recently been watching this fellow that pushes the Snake Juice diet on YouTube (Cole somethingorother, I think) for motivation in my fasting.
His schtick is that he calls you a fatty and then cusses you for an hour or so calling you a fat, pathetic loser and basically deriding most people that ask him questions for being dumbasses.
They are quite enjoyable. In any event, I think at some point in time the pendulum is gonna have to swing back from everyone trying to understand how you feel to everyone telling you LOL Get Fucked.
I think Trump is certainly at the forefront of that movement,

The only fast food my wife will eat, and I especially like the Market Fresh sandwiches. When they first appeared, there was quite a variety of them. Now, at least in my local one, there's only two that are turkey -- and my favorite fast food sandwich is their Turkey and Swiss (the bread is too tasty to toss, even when on a low carb diet).

In about a month, the real Pauly Shore is actually going to be appearing
live in person at a club not very far from me, and close to Cal State
Long Beach.
Almost tempted to go. I've heard he can be both witty/charming to certain people and a complete douchebag to others.
