Racist, Confederate-Flag Sporting Ex-CNN Reporter's Racist, Anti-Government White Hispanic Husband Kills Innocent Home Invader in Hotel Room With Racist Gun With One of Those Parts That Goes Up

Well, I assume they're racist anti-government neo-confederates who just want to kill minorities. The media has assured me that's the only reason a White, or White Hispanic, would want to own a gun.

So when will a politically-pandering DA be filing murder charges?

A road trip down old Route 66 led to a Wild West-style motel shootout for a pioneering CNN anchor and her former-soldier hubby.

Lynne Russell -- the first woman to ever solo-anchor a primetime network news show --and Chuck de Caro, 65, had stopped at a Motel 6 for the night in Albuquerque when an intruder slipped into their room as Russell went to grab something from the car around 11:30 p.m. Tuesday.

"I opened the door and he materialized out of nowhere; he was inside," she told The Post. "And he pushed me into the room and onto the bed and closed the door."

De Caro, who was in the shower, emerged completely naked and tried talking to the gunman, who was demanding the couple fork over their money and valuables.

Naked, but he quickly clothed himself with a rakish .35 caliber gun,* which is really all the fashion a man needs.

Caro shot the shit out of him, and then had to be watched by police, he says, to keep him from "kicking the shit" out of the wounded, bleeding-out man.

So racist. I can't even.

By the way, even though this is obviously a dramatic, media-friendly story not only involving a celebrity but one of the media's own-- they're not covering it. Fox and the NYPost cover it, but the liberal media won't.

Because their official policy is that Guns Are Bad, and, as Buzzfeed Ben would say, there is only one side to that story.

* Hey yeah I know that's a weird caliber, but that's what the article claims.

I don't know.

Latino is an ethnicity but the counselors had to put in a race code for everybody getting that sweet, sweet government sugar. If the person started complaining "I'm Latino!" and refused to give a race, I guess the counselors would just eyeball it and put in the code they felt was most appropriate - white or black.

That's kinda the way this one was. Once you got past the concertina wire, the claymores, and the interlocking zones of fire, it was actually very nice inside.
But your comment reminds me of my first business trip after leaving academia. My colleague and I arrived after dark in a taxi that navigated around discarded tires in the road to arrive at a Hilton with razor wire on top of a chain link fence too. We were ready for dinner, and the concierge looked at us urgently and said, "Don't leave the compound." We didn't.

Coffee in lobby which necessitated stairs because elevator wasn't working(two story motel). Truck stop next door with semi's running all night. 288 The convoluted calculations of the media are fascinating with regards to what they omit/spin.

Usually when the person who died is a minority, then race will be mentioned if it is a crime like robbery, because the press will spin it as undue force being used. But not if it's a terrorist attack, since that would imply that Islam is not the religion of peace.

In this case the victim might be a minority, but the press might be hiding that, since if it were a minority, the couple might be perceived as racists using undue force, and the MFM wants to spare their fellow libjournalists that stigma.

Nope.

1 - slavery would have ended anyway
2 - racist against Indians (casinos, not computers)
3 - Britain's system of government is better
-----------------------
*facepalm* This is what letting Marxists teach history leads to....

1. You mean right after the now-British citizen Eli Whitney still invented the cotton gin and made slavery profitable again? And what historical event gave abolitionists traction instead of being dismissed as useless bleeding hearts? Something about a new nation that ostensibly stated that all people are created equal, with certain unalienable rights? Same thing for the French Revolution too.
2. You mean the same British Empire that shipped blankets from a smallpox hospital to Pontiac's Indians as "presents" during negotiations? The same Empire that forced the opium trade on China at cannon point and provoked the Sepoy Mutiny by issuing cartridges greased with animal fat? The very same Empire that empowered Rhodes in SE Africa and sided with the Boers against the Zulus? THAT British Empire would have spared the Indians if there was money to be had in rolling over them?
3. Yeah, right. Without the Revolution the political power would have continued to reside with the wealthy WASP sociopolitical elites that ran the Empire with George III's prompting and blessing. And George III's insanity would not have led to more Parliamentary independence, Crown Prince George (later George IV) would just have become a ruling regent while Dad was indisposed and it would have been business as usual.

354 Nominal diameter of .355-.356" applies to a host of cartridges including

9x19mm (9mm Parabellum)
.357 Magnum
.38 Special
.380 Auto (aka 9x17mm)
and a bunch of less common Euro 9mm variants.

Around 2000 there was a revolver called the Medusa that could shoot them all.

They could have lured the guy in and jumped him for his wallet and the DA wouldn't touch it. Because of that it would be really hard to empanel a jury that wouldn't think that could have been my Abuela, and that the guy was shot by her naked husband makes it charmingly romantic by the standards of the Land of Enchantment.

New Mexico is a weird state, while they kinda vote democrat and the whole state is run like San Antonio and the St. Mary's alumni association, but it is a lot more like Idaho or Maine than any other place, and just as poor. And they sure don't have a problem with lethal force, there self defense laws are pretty different from other states but they were all written at a time when assassination was a regular feature of political life and the law was generally handled on a bounty and single gunfighter basis. Even in the early 1900s no one in power trusted anyone with a badge unless they were employing them personally, but they also wanted protection for their bodyguards. Now the New Mexicans, mostly hispanics, run the state themselves they are mostly of the macho rural kind with aristocrat pretensions, so see things the same way.

While there is no Castle Doctrine, it is one where you can use deadly force not just to protect property but also to stop a felony, which we don't even have in Texas. Sure they make liberal noises but it is a very different place than say Minnesota or even Wisconsin.

363 Re: the ".35 caliber" handgun. 10 to 1 they had a pair of .357s, and the idiot NY Post writer just used the first two numerals when describing the handgun.
