Actually, I think this is where this is going. I think the Progressive Left believes that Hillary is to close to the Center, and they don't want that much chance of giving up some of the gains they've made with the SCOAMT in the Oval Office.

So they want Warren (who is at least as leftist as TFG) instead.

Hillary did this on purpose to hide the emails she was sending. A LOT of people received official communications from her from a non-dot gov address and didn't say anything.

Were they even encrypted? If not she sent classified info in the clear. If they were encrypted, who here believes they were using the right standard that conforms to gov't regulation?

She needs prison time for every classified email she sent that wasn't in compliance with secrecy laws.

Contrast that to Republicans who tend to hurl embarrassing/unethical members from the ramparts at a moments notice.

I got news for you.

There is a whole cohort of current voters who weren't even alive in 1992. . .and they're young ones who are mostly inclined to vote for Democrats.

So yes, this kind of thing actually does matter. Her last name may be "Clinton" but she still has to assemble some sort of coalition if she wants to win the Dem nomination, then a broader one if she wants to win the election.

If she's starting out of the block losing some of her traditional "base" that's potentially a big handicap. Remember, the Dems love the new "shiny" politician (eg look who's in the White House now).

This is true, but it shouldn't be news to any seasoned observer, and it really doesn't "matter".

Yes, the Dems have their constituency, and the GOP has its. Elections are won/lost not by convincing the unconvinceable (ie the Romney 47%), but instead by convincing the SMALL number in the middle who can be convinced, and mostly by motivating your side to actually get off their ass and vote.

Sure, no matter who it is, 40-some percent will pull the trigger for anyone with a "D", but that hardly makes them invulnerable.

212 The Dem party is to heavily invested in Hillary and will not abandon her for Fauxcahantas (yet.). She is owed this for standing by BJ Clinton thru thick and thin, stepping aside and graciously letting The One assume his destiny and other valuable service to the Party.

Besides, all these questions about her email are just from conservatives that are part of the VRWC. The MSM will do it's job and expose them as racists and misogynists with an agenda. Plus the LIV's she so wants to help are dim and easily distracted. Scandals like this rarely register and, if they ever enter their information bubble they can be dismissed as old news, much ado about nothing and everybody does it. This is barely a bump on the Road to Socialism.

217 OT but BWAHAHAHAHA!

In an article in Monday's edition of the Saudi daily Al-Jazirah (no relation to the Qatar-based television network), columnist Dr. Ahmad Al-Faraj comes out strongly against U.S. President Barack Obama. "I believe that Netanyahu's conduct will serve our interests, the people of the Gulf," he writes, "much more than the foolish behavior of one of the worst American presidents."

And....

"Since Obama is the godfather of the prefabricated revolutions in the Arab world, and since he is the ally of political Islam, [which is] the caring mother of [all] the terrorist organizations, and since he is working to sign an agreement with Iran that will come at the expense of the U.S.'s longtime allies in the Gulf, I am very glad of Netanyahu's firm stance and [his decision] to speak against the nuclear agreement at the American Congress despite the Obama administration's anger and fury. I believe that Netanyahu's conduct will serve our interests, the people of the Gulf, much more than the foolish behavior of one of the worst American presidents."

They're already shoveling two examples of nasty Republicans doing the same:

Of course I don't know what the applicable laws are for a Governor and for a former SecState. Maybe things were different when Powell was in office? I dunno. But they're gonna pound that drum hard.

IE, "Completely without my knowledge, my underlings were doing a whole bunch of things illegally in my name while I was Secretary of State" isn't exactly a great way to inspire confidence in her potential role as POTUS.

Honestly, I don't even think she wants to be POTUS, but running for same is just a great way to keep collecting money and attention. Its a very old ploy. As long as she's running (let alone "the frontrunner") then she's relevant , and the bribes. . .er "donations" keep flooding in.

Does he really think Hillary is interested in any of those things unless they contribute to her quest for power and the presidency? The Clinton Foundation has nothing to do with charity and everything to do with Clinton political power. Every time he says something semi-lucid he backtracks and proves he is just a brain-dead MSM drone.

306 Dick Cheney is not medically well (he's got serious heart problems) and he never wanted to be POTUS to begin with. IE, unlike Biden, Hilary, and most of the others, he never actually ran for POTUS before serving as VP. So its understandable why he's not running.

Biden *did* want to be POTUS, and has run several times. So by all rights he "should" be running now. The problem, is, of course, that's he demented (I mean that in the literal sense of the term. . .he appears to have cognitive decline), and he's also more strongly tied to the loser Obama administration than Hilary is.

311 Zell Miller and his spitball comment
Posted by: Anna Puma (+SmuD) at March 03, 2015 02:13 PM (bl7+W)

Zell Miller is a walking profile in courage. I remember that speech he gave at the 2004 Republican Convention as if it was yesterday. It took stones to do what he did.

If the GOP took the populist approach and broadened its appeal to those we used to call Reagan Democrats, we'd have an army of millions of Zell Millers and never lose an election; instead, we get the GOP Establishment and its handful of mega-rich donors hot for some of that cheap, sweet immigrant labor.

I can only shake my head at the stupidity of it all.

Posted by: troyriser at March 03, 2015 02:33 PM (f56b1)

312 Honestly, I don't even think she wants to be POTUS, but running for same is just a great way to keep collecting money and attention. Its a very old ploy. As long as she's running (let alone "the frontrunner") then she's relevant , and the bribes. . .er "donations" keep flooding in.

Yes but, none of that comes without power and influence or the perception of power and influence. A Clinton in the WH and control of the Dem. party ends it for him. Even now Barky only has slightly more influence than the Clinton's. The powers in the Dem. party really don't like the Obama's, but they are the horse they have in the race.
