As In Every Year Past, Obama's Elder Minions Urge Lesser Minions to Fight With Their Families At Thanksgiving Dinners

It truly is insidious, I think, this devotion to cause such that one would seriously -- earnestly! -- urge others to fight with family in order to advance a political goal.

It's not just about the casual denigration of the family in favor of the Real Family, which is of course like-minded socialists in the Progressive Cult. It is that, but it's not just that.

It's also this idea that a person's highest aspiration is to be... A telemarketer. Or, as there's nothing "tele-" about picking fights with your family in face-to-face meetings, an epimarketer, then.

There is a terribly strange notion affecting the country, chiefly on the left but sometimes on the right, that man's highest calling is to be a Public Relations Account Manager.

But I'll put that aside to get to the funny stuff. Via @johnekdahl, enjoy this email from Organizing for America.

Do not read it hastily; the most magical sentence in the email is the second sentence.

Updated: I added Eekdahl's Chris Hayes tweet. This is coordinated, he says.

It's interesting-- why is this sort of thing not being discussed on the right? Why is it, apparently, only the left that has Daddy Issues and thus needs a Conversation Checklist when meeting with family?

Not to say that the right won't talk politics at family gatherings, but you don't see this weird combination of Advocacy Checklists, Comforting the Anxious, How to Deal With Dad, and so forth every year from the right.

49 Brilliant if you think about it. It serves two purposes, get the message and further put strains on and destroy the family. The liberal agenda only works without a strong famliy and this helps enforce the belief in the believer plus advances the goal of weakening the family by seeding disharmony. 99 "Chances are, folks at the dinner table probably look to you, mostly as a voice of reason on the subject."

Chances are, folks at the dinner table look to you with either dread or condescension, because they know you're a bloviating windbag who hasn't had an original thought since preschool and either they don't want to be bothered by your latest inarticulate brain fart or they want to hear what fresh stupidity your government masters have tattooed on your tongue so as to better mock you and your pitifully small penis and/or breasts.

Remember this Thanksgiving: there's a reason no one hugged you enough as a child, and yes, your mother really does hate you.

The more you know.

Well, what do you know. Team O set up a site with notes to prep the
little darlings for the last Thanksgiving they'll ever be invited to:

www.barackobama.com/health-care-holidays

PLAN YOUR TALK
Take a moment to plan when, where, and how you’ll talk to your family about health insurance.

PICK A TIME
Start
early: Don’t wait until the last minute—be sure to start the
conversation early! Integrate the talk into family time: Take advantage
of downtime after meals or between holiday activities to start your
talk.

THINK ABOUT HOW YOU’LL BRING IT UP
Make it personal: Be honest about your feelings and why this is important to you.

That's what "civil" means to them. Every frickin' day.

And a lot of you, me often included, ignore them instead of slamming them because you don't want to make it worse for everyone else.

It's a strategy that sacrifices the long term for the short term and I admit to using it, sadly, because it's also part of their strategy to break up social relations over ideology and make everything suck to they can ride to the rescue and purge the Kulaks.

I've got one of those little liberal Bush Hating, Obama Loving nephews. His mom sent him off to NYU to get a degree in drama --and now at 45 or so he can't find a job that's "suitable" for him and so sponges off his mother or his occasional girlfriend. Oh he had some jobs--as a bellhop in a San Francisco hotel and as an assistant manager at a Kinkos--but none of those were "right for him". In some ways it's not his fault--he grew up in San Francisco and was always worried that someone would nuke a gay whale.
Anyway the useless little twerp came over to a Thanksgiving dinner one time a few years back and laid a load of his Obama lovin' on another guest--an older woman who's grown up in Eastern Europe. I don't mind if he simply irritates his relatives--but insulting a non family guest is over the line. So I've not let the little twerp back in my house for four or five years now. Don't think that will change--ever.

180 A friend of my husband's from college who also lives in NYC and works for BMO saw his premiums double. But it just convinced him we need single payer just like in Canada. I mentioned wait times and rationing. "Sure, you have to wait a couple months for surgery." I mentioned a friend of my husband's father, an active man in his 70s who rarely used the system in his youth -- They told him 8 years! Because he just had surgery two years ago, and his hip was giving out again. So, this friend says, "Well, you just go down to Detroit..." I cut him off and said, "Not any more, buddy."

188 PLAN YOUR TALKTake a moment to plan when, where, and how you’ll talk to your family about health insurance.

Because nothing says "relaxing, friendly family get-together" like planned communist propaganda.

PICK A TIME
Start early: Don’t wait until the last minute—be sure to start the conversation early!

That will give the rest of your family plenty of time to plan where to hide your body when they "accidentally" bludgeon you with a can of cranberry sauce mid-meal!

Integrate the talk into family time: Take advantage of downtime after meals or between holiday activities to start your talk.

Because your family hates you anyway, so why not make them hate you that little bit more?

THINK ABOUT HOW YOU’LL BRING IT UPMake it personal: Be honest about your feelings and why this is important to you.

And when your family is honest with you about how much of a fucktwaddle you are for believing Obammy's bullshit, remember: it's okay to cry.

(But cry in private, or else Cousin Emily will give you another atomic wedgie like she did last year when you were yammering on and on about "green shoots." And this year'll be worst: she's SIX.)

(a) the "uncles" likelyhave jobs thatdon't involve politics;

(b) they'velikely been married and had children and had responsibilities for taking their kids to the emergency room,or helping their sick or dying parents and all the other life experiences that 20-somethings haven't had;

(c) they've undoubtedly had much more experience buying insurance products than the 20-something;

(d) as older people, they've likely had much more experience as consumers of healthcare (can you say colonoscopy?) than the 20-something;

etc.

A friend of mine has a "boyfriend" like that. He was an art dealer, but his side gig as a pot dealer interfered with him keeping his serious job. Of course, he was a bad dealer and got high on his own supply. But the only job that he felt was worthy of him was Famous Layabout Wastoid Painter. My friend supported this.

Btw Remember how Pee Lousy said young people could pursue their dreams while they stayed on their parents plans until they were 26, like this isn't the case with Obama's base already?

Long story short, the boyfriend asked my friend to help him move into his new apt on Christmas Day. Then right after the van was unloaded, he dumped her. She still took him back, and he fucked another girl in her bed while she was at work. She came home early. And she still got back together with him! They're in their 30s living with her mother while she rents out her apt on AirB&B.

But I knew he was no good when I was staying with her as a houseguest for a couple days. (I was living in Canada and had to come to NYC to line up an apt.) She had him stay with her and make out all gross and obnoxiously. I went to church on Easter and told her I'd be back late, because I was going to volunteer at the soup kitchen afterward and see a movie / have drinks with a friend. He went into a tirade about religion and how much he hates Jesus in particular and Christians are phonies. I knew then that this guy did not like holidays. Loves Obama, though. They have that in common.

267 Nothing like getting a lecture on economics and fairness from someone eating turkey you provided.

If they start up, hold up a hand to shut them up, then hold out that same hand and say, "You want to talk about fairness, you can go ahead and pay me for that meal you're about to eat/have already eaten. It took me X-hours to prepare, plust the time it took to earn the money to buy the ingredients. Since you believe in fairness I assume you believe in a mandatory minimum wage of $10 or more. Let's go with that. So, that plate of turkey, mashed potatoes, carrots, sweet potatoes, stuffing, dinner rolls and butter, and gravy comes to... oh... approximately $200 all told. You can pay me now, cash only.

"Oh, you don't have $200? Then you can go hungry.

Why all the hate? Didn't you know Teddy had absolute moral authority because his brother was assassinated? Besides, it's much better for a woman to be trapped inside a sinking Oldsmobile than for her to be held hostage in a binder...

While I have read the comments I must admit it would take big balls for someone to they and peddle O-Care this Turkey Day as a plus. The Voice of Reason part made me laugh. Who wants to be the jackass this Thanksgiving selling O-Care?

My guess is whoever tries this will be laughed at and ridiculed as Voice of Stupidity.

345 Woe is us.
Sadly, there's no one in our family to discuss the joys of failed socialist healthcare programs with.
All we have around our table at Thanksgiving are folks with degrees in chemistry, engineering, math, computer science, electrical engineering, retired military vets, and one young lady working on a PhD that spends all day staring at DNA strands in a lab. We're fresh out of lazy ass shitheads with more piercings and tattoos than brain cells.

TWO brothers were assassinated. That gives him not only absolute moral authority, but absolute immoral authority, too!

so the point is that they failed on both accounts.

365 He used to pretend to be losing his memory / faculties in public so that he could have fun and act like a kid in public. People would roll their eyes at him, but he got to do almost anything he wanted as a result.

I love to do this in the liberal stronghold town next to me. Especially when grocery shopping with the wife. I'll act a little confused when I see a 'kid' employee go by. 'Kid' will ask if I need help. Wife will roll her eyes 'cause she knows whats coming. I can't help myself. So I begin...

'I see you have 'original' Cheerios here. Do you have something a little less original? They hurt my stomach'.

Or same thing with salt-free vs enhanced salt and gluten-free vs extra gluten or free-range vs maliciously captivated. I love to watch their little brain-washed minds try (unsuccessfully of course) to assist me.

378 The HIGHEST calling is Public Policy grad school. The second highest calling is Public Relations Account Manager. I went to graduate school (right after the Spanish American war) and studied public administration. I talked to one of my children's friends yesterday who is studying Public Policy at some jackoff university in DC. Her parents are mucho richo. I asked her what courses she is taking and it is legislative crap (that I took in undergraduate school) and PR. I asked her when she takes macro economics which I had to have six hours graduate level to get a masters. Oh none of that she said. And she was a music major in under graduate. She cannot balance her own bank account. Haha. She is a sweet, slightly homely, idiot girl who will soon be working for our government. My daughter is inspecting ports for a multinational insurance company to write re-insurance reports and they are the same age! They both terrify me.
