Re-Post: The Administration Claimed A Video, Not Preplanned Terrorism, Was Responsible for the Benghazi Attack for 12 Days

If you haven't seen this -- or emailed it to others -- then watch it, and then email it to others.

Especially noteworthy is Ayaman Al-Zawahiri, the current "Spiritual Leader" of Al Qaeda, calling for vengeance in Libya for the death of one of its operatives there, just days before the vengeance occurred.

And the administration didn't evacuate the embassy, or send Marines, or even give it security more effective than door locks.

Krauthammer calls out his liberal colleagues, including Nina Totenberg and Mark Sheids, to their faces, and Nina Totenberg literally chuckles it off.

Let me explain why this is different than previous bias.

Previously, the press has been both biased in a partisan way and an in an ideological way, but usually the partisanship was driven by ideology. As you may have noticed, the press are great fans of gay marriage and abortion, and they shape their coverage to put the best possible face on these positions, and the worst possible face on opponents. (To the extent they feature contrary voices at all.)

That's bias, of course. We've gotten used to that.

But in the Benghazi debacle, there is no possible ideological grounding to explain their bias. There is, I trust, no ideological movement that advocates for intelligence failures and the deaths of good-guy diplomats. There is no ideological movement in favor of reckless incompetence bordering on malice in providing security for consulates abroad (which, as a legal matter, are considered US territory).

There is no ideological movement -- or at least there was not before -- championing the government's right to lie to the public about its failures in order to avoid accountability.

There is no room here where one can say, "Ah well, they can't help but be pulled a bit to the left by their own beliefs." Because no one champions the right of government to let people be murdered and then lie about it.

This isn't ideological bias, then. This is pure advocacy for a political party. Obama's embarrassment is not an ideological issue -- or should not be. I hope we can all agree that a president should attend security briefings -- especially as 9/11 approaches -- and provide adequate warning and security for US government personnel. I hope we can all agree that the government does not suddenly gain a Right To Shamelessly Lie about its failures, simply because it finds it politically advantageous to do so.

But, as Nina Totenberg's chuckle indicates, the press now in fact believes exactly these things -- so long as the president we're talking about is Democrat, and Obama in particular.

WaPo: Security Was Lax. Welcome to two weeks ago, WaPo. But kudos for finally starting to do your job.

Pat Caddell: The Media Has Become The Enemy Of the Public. @johnekdahl posted this last night; it's worth a repost too.

This is absolutely true. Obama is empowered to lie -- and worse -- because he knows the media will spin for him.

This is dangerous. This is how democracies die.

You would think not but Gregory on Meet the Press, when asking for comments on the problems with the story described it as "...a political issue." and the panel all understood the meaning and talked about how the story took the spotlight on "Romney's horrible gaffes". It is now clear State Media Propaganda and these people should be shot. In a real Democratic Republic they would all be fired. I mean it.

Today, I counted 21 Romney signs to one for Ogabe. One, that's it

They will rarely say anything bad about Obama because he is the head Democrat. Sure on a rare occasion one who has a particular interest in what Obama has screwed up next will voice some displeasure, but normally even that is muted.

I can only imagine what they would have done if the same shit here had been done by an incompetent Republican. But then again, it would not have happened under a Republican because a Republican would not have appointed a useless scrunt who loved communism and hated the military as SOS.

Barky is clearly a retarded third world America-hater and has always been. The dems and the press has always been way left and has tried to pervert America into a Eurotrash sort of shithole. That has now changed. Barky, the Dims, and the MFM aren't going for Eurotrash status but the Dims and the MFM have jumped full-force onto Barky's third world bandwagon to just destroy America. That decision and Benedickhead Roberts' opinion were the worst in American history. Period.

There is no question at all that if Romney wins Roberts MUST be impeached and relegated to the only bench he's qualified to sit on - a park bench. He is the biggest piece of shit to ever appear in our federal judiciary - and that's no small feat, especially when we have two unbelievably offensive examples sitting on the same SCOTASS in the empathetic latina (with empathy being officially confirmed to be a legitimate main qualifying criterion for a judge or judicial decision in opposition to well over three millenia of foundations of Western jurisprudence) and that pathetic perjuring dyke, Kagan.

Of course, if Romney doesn't win then this is all academic as it will be all over and only a new American state that actually adheres to our Constitution and foundations will be able to carry any sort of Americanism and the American creed into the future.

A poll was recently released reporting that seven in ten of us believe that Obamacare is here to stay, albeit with some revisions. Alas, that increasingly seems like a good bet to me. As I warned, the Supreme Court’s validation of the law’s constitutionality changed the fundamentals — despite the highly dubious, nay. incomprehensible, legal reasoning of Chief Justice John Roberts.

----

People still don’t like the law. But the pitchforks seem to have been put back in the barn and, with a dejected sigh, the torches doused with water. For Obamacare fans, because people want to keep the law’s entitlements they already have, that may be enough to win the philosophical debate no matter who wins the election.

"Krauthammer calls out his liberal colleagues, including Nina Totenberg and Mark Sheids, to their faces, and Nina Totenberg literally chuckles it off."

This scene describes the MSM: an effete, decreasingly effective, pseudo-intellectual self-proclaimed elite, in the last stages of decline, on the verge of realizing that they have lost all power, and willfully oblivious to the signs.

There's a video, at HillBuzz, showing a line of people waiting for a Romney/Ryan event, and the union 'tards protesting.

Watch the video. It really looks like the turnout is 30-40 union pimples, and 3000+ citizens waiting to attend the R/R event.

Ohio might not be in play --> Ohio might be already decided for Romney.

HB also has a 4-minute clip of the core of Pat Caddell's speech. It to is worth the view.

She doesn't like Romney but really isn't sure why, beyond the fact that he's "out of touch."

I tell her she's being manipulated and should expand her sources of information. She thinks I should be wearing a tinfoil hat.

You should tell her that Barky's buddy in the attempted coup of Honduras, Zelaya, cornered the market on tin foil. He needs it all to protect himself against Mossad mind rays. No joke.

And that was back when Barky refused visas to the Honduran UN mission and instead granted visas to tin-foil hatter Zelaya's junta-in-exile to ostensibly represent Honduras at the UN - which included the Honduran version of Bill Ayers, an old Honduran domestic terrorist bomber. Yep. All true.

But in the end, it will get worse. That's the way the ratchet turns.

Whatever gave anyone the notion that things will somehow self-correct and fix themselves? The only way anything will get "fixed" is if the people rise up and do something about it.
Do something. Not snark on the internet and curse and pound the table.

Truman North was really involved in politics this year in Massachusetts. He was trying to do something. I'm sure there are other people here that are "trying to do something". But not enough.
I went to a Romney rally on Wednesday, and right there were a bunch of Obama inspired thugs (probably SEIU goons) chanting away, about 15 of them. Like they were actually going to turn anyone's mind. But the "media" was there to dutifully film it and make it part of the "balanced" story.

The Media. What to do about them?

One solution is to cancel your cable if you have it. I am really thinking about this very hard. The beast has to be starved of money. That is the only way to kill it.

They will, I promise you, airily fuss about how "our message was not clear" just like the Democrats did in 2004. They won't have the nerve to come out and say their message was rejected... largely because the message was "He is just in over his head, and we can create jobs and give you goodies more efficiently."

Don't expect our "ally" pundits to admit that it's time to change the game, time to stop sanding the rough edges off the conservative edifice. Everyone from Hugh Hewitt to Bill Kristol will be advising us that "It's just politics, so we have to adapt..." to Democrats. (That is the unspoken part.)

After three and a half years, they are still blaming Bush. Even if the level of the Bengazi consulate may have been minimal, I am pretty sure that was because we didn't have much of a diplomatic relationship with Gaddafi. You know, the fellow that SCOAMT deposed with a war undeclared by Congress?

So, under the new Libyan regime, SCOAMT appoints a fresh-faced ambassador, yet does NOTHING to increase the security commensurate with the increased presence and security requirements after the Al Qaeda threats, and it's still Bush's fault for not seeing three years into the future.

November 6th can't come soon enough, but how dangerous will he be between November 7th and January 19th when he knows he has nothing left to lose? How many pardons will he issue, and to whom? And what will the quid pro quo be? (I wonder if Michelle's name will be quietly included...)

How many time bomb Executive Orders will he issue? (Things done solely to exploit politically when they are inevitably reversed for sanity's sake.)

Will he use the (inevitable) rioting after his loss to impose order "by any means necessary"? "The future must not belong to those who do not toe the party line..."

There is a part of me that is tempted, I'd like to see Obama pull some of the crazy stuff that people say, declare martial law, cancel the election, arrest Mitt Romney (that last one's my own). This is what the GOP fails to understand, but the Dems understand it to a T: Lots of people "think" based on vague impressions about what they want to be like. This is why the Dems benefit from the whole "no difference between the parties" policy platform. If there's really "no difference" to grab on to, then what would you rather be thought of as, Liberal or Conservative? Remember, kids in schools and the public at large has it rammed down their throats 24/7 that Liberals are "all about fairness and freedom" and Conservatives "just want to bring back the past (e.g, slavery, no rights for women, etc.)". If that's the standard, hell, of course everyone wants to be a liberal.

But of course, that's not at all what those words mean in today's reality (if ever they did). But that take some mental effort and the willingness to buck all the social pressures that are arrayed against more nuanced views of political terminology.

And that's where the bias of the Academy steps in to squash any attempt to do that on one's own without the guidance of one's intellectual betters, as it were.

If the GOP wants to turn the tide, we need to start getting smart about all the things the Democrats accuse us of already being smart about, but which we really suck at: Branding

They're not. They're communists.

Substitute one of the combat parachute assaults from Korea, and you have the atmosphere exactly right.

BTW, out here in Commiefornia, the unions are mad as hornets over Prop 32 on the November ballot, a Wisconsin style initiative that would limit the unions' influence and money pushing in elected politics. I've had anti-32 phone calls, door hangers, seen signs and stickers everywhere.

32 won't pass, but what it means is that these very well off California unions, while having to defend their own flank at home, aren't able to ship money out of here to actual swing states to help re-elect the SCOAMF and other liberals.

Guess why they're having to keep their money here at home? Governor Moonbeam Brown. He moved 32 from the spring to the fall ballot in order to have less of a chance of it passing. Without realizing how he was sabotaging the general election finances for Democrats outside of CA who nevertheless get CA union cash. Own-goal of the year for Moonbeam.

Then there are "Active Measures" that can be used against the Media.

We have to really start thinking about "Active Measures". And by that I do not mean random acts of vandalism or physically attacking the media goons (although that would be tempting - it's the wrong tactic).

But "Active Measures" are necessary. One active measure is to identify major advertisers and find out if they approve the news content of the media that is selling them add space. The business advertisers have to take a stand, and not sell them the rope that they will be hung with.

Boycotts are useless and impossible to control. But people can be persuaded by rational arguments intelligently presented. There have to be major companies that advertise that can be persuaded that their money is used to sharpen the dagger at their throat.

There is, I trust, no ideological movement that advocates for intelligence failures and the deaths of good-guy diplomats. There is no ideological movement in favor of reckless incompetence bordering on malice in providing security for consulates abroad (which, as a legal matter, are considered US territory)."

I would argue that there are two ideological "movements" at play: One, there is a pro-Islam, anti-American ideology (illustrated by D'Souza) that the liberal media embrace. So they are happy to help cover for Obama's security failures if it gives them the opportunity to blame "free-speech" anti-Islamic sentiment. Two, there is an ideology of Obama, which I think is more accurate than your explanation of "pure advocacy to a political party," Ace. This is greater and more dangerous than allegiance to a party. This is allegiance to a person. (Ideology #1 may be a sub-set of ideology #2).

I was reading an article yesterday about the young challenger to Chavez in Venezuela and was struck (and then felt sick) by the similarities between Chavez and Obama in terms of the people who worship them.

The Media, in the best tradition of sycophants and courtesans everywhere, will change ... probably back to the "fair and balanced" media that they once claimed to be.

I think this will be merely an appearance, and an attempt to regain financial health and influence.

Barack Obama's chosen elective war, his deaths, blood on his hands? Shut yo' mouth. We are far more concerned with outrage over pederasty jokes. And why Mitt Romney bought an elevator and penthouse for his horse. And how this prevents Sandra Fluke from greasing her veal flaps with subsidized spermicidal forty-weight.

Posted by: George Orwell what knows Harry Reid is a pederast and a strangler at September 30, 2012 05:20 PM (AZGON)

144 not sure it would be accurate to say "no ideological bias" to explain the INITIAL meda reaction...not that i beleive you are saying that, but it's just not clear.

the initial motivation may have lay along the lines of, "those uncouth, neanderthal mouth breathers need a lesson in respecting islam." it's kind of a chickens-coming-home-to-roost thesis, innit?

what i DON'T get is how islam got the top spot -- even over gays, who are much nicer and know how to dress! the gay amb stevens was RAPED BY ISLAMIC THUGS before and after his death.

i'm glad gays got elevated over blacks to the point that even rappers are called out on their homophobia.

islam? what the heck? last i checked, neither gays nor blacks, the other two super-mega-hyper-ultra-double-plus-unassailable protected groups, don't typically want to KILL the type of decadent-living, effete liberals in the media.

islam?

seriously, it would have been ok to rape and murder a gay guy -- a GOOD GUY who is there ostensibly to promote INTERNATIONAL UNITY -- over a @#$%! movie?

that's the part that i didn't get about the initial response.

how could the media throw away their gays so quickly to grovel at the feet of thugs who wanted to kill them?

but sorry for the off-topic spiel...yeah, without a doubt, these examples of outright partisan advocacy leave a bad taste in the mouth, but then it's nothing really new, this year.

everyone knows, i think...just that half the people really don't mind that "news journalism" has evolved into a sort of facial political partisanship.

i hate to say it, but i don't think any amount of exposure of media collusion with a particular political party will turn any hearts and minds. maybe turn some channels, but that's about it.

165 The idiot media may get what they think they want, but eventually it will bite them in the ass... Decades ago, Allen Drury (the guy who wrote Advise and Consent), wrote a novel called "Preserve and Protect." There's a presidential election going, and at the end of the book someone gets assassinated, but you don't know which one. He then wrote two novels, each with a different outcome of the assassination. Now, these were written in the Cold War era, so the Commies were the big evil... In the novel where the soft-on-communism liberal lived and became President, the FIRST group rounded up and sent to "camp" was the media, and boy were they shocked! It's been decades since I read those books, but I'll never forget the basic premises - and it sure seems like the media is falling right in line...

178 It is not ideology but pedigree that these people ascribe to. They live in the Washington bubble. The competition just to have access to the circles they travel in is intense. They are the 1%.

Just look at the Sidwell friends school that the Obama children attend. 32k a year is the easy part. Only the swells get in. Guess who's daughter's also attend there and are in ballet with the Obama's daughters? George Stephanopoulos, the former Clinton communications director that Caddell was calling out for his daily phone calls with Rahm Emanual, Begala and Carville. Biden's grandchildren also attend there....

Government is their career. Influence and manipulation are the things they live for. If Obama suffers they lose access and power. Corruption.

Welcome to the new aristocracy. The media are now the public relations wing of the new Democratic party.

But because I'm sort of a dick:

"But in the Benghazi debacle, there is no possible ideological grounding to explain their bias. There is, I trust, no ideological movement that advocates for intelligence failures and the deaths of good-guy diplomats. There is no ideological movement in favor of reckless incompetence bordering on malice in providing security for consulates abroad (which, as a legal matter, are considered US territory)."

"Chickens coming home to roost." The more often the better.

"There is no ideological movement -- or at least there was not before -- championing the government's right to lie to the public about its failures in order to avoid accountability."

The Soviet "Experiment."

"There is no room here where one can say, "Ah well, they can't help but be pulled a bit to the left by their own beliefs." Because no one champions the right of government to let people be murdered and then lie about it."

Armenian Genocide. Holodomor. Pretty much everything Leftists and Islamists/Islamics do in general.

"I hope we can all agree that the government does not suddenly gain a Right To Shamelessly Lie about its failures, simply because it finds it politically advantageous to do so."

"Got to break a few eggs if you want to make an omlet." "Where's the omlet?" "Fuck you, you racist, that's where."

"Obama's embarrassment is not an ideological issue -- or should not be."

Affirmative-Action Jesus cannot be allowed to fail or look bad. It would be racist.

First of all, I was mocking Haley Barbour's speech patterns, not Clarence "Uncle" Thom's.

Secondly, if you think Clarence Thomas is "brilliant," you are obviously a person who doesn't read. You see, the supreme court won't let him write decisions because he is, in the parlance of our times, a complete fucking moron with regards to the law. That's why. Please, do a little searching for opinions he has drafted for the majority. Scalia, while on loan from the sixth chamber of hell courtesy of the Prince of Darkness, is at least a scholar. Thomas is the absolute least qualified justice in the court's history -- not because he's black, but because he is just - plain - dumb.

1. After the GOP somehow manages to lose to Obama in the midst of a global Depression, I'd find new "victims" to blame.
2. This time, I'd blame middle management for failing to properly adjust their income expectations to the new norm. Hell, the GOP has already given up on competing for the black, hispanic, single, unmarried, union household vote. Might as well piss away the non-union middle management vote for 2016.
3. I would continue to assert that GOP expansions of Federal of power are AWESOME while jackass expansions are Unconstitutional and lethal. The GOP should continue to support the genius that is NCLBand all of the positive benefits that the countryhas accrued from eliminating local control fo education.
4.I would fully support the continuing consolidation of the banking system. If Citi, Goldman Sachs, etc. were to big to fail back in 2008, they are REALLY TOO BIG TO fail now. Let's keepdefending big banks, and, ifat all possible, let's shift the blame fortheir failuresto our political enemies.

"well it's not like gay moderates and republicans are as bloodsport in reverse at the gay communists who coopted the movement."

ha-ha, who do you think you're telling :p there are a lot of gay conservatives who don't even want to be associated with the term "gay" because it really has taken on the character of a sociopolitical self-identity. and, of course, just as is the case with right-leaning blacks, the media -- aside the cohort of loud-mouthed, communist gays -- absolutely *hates* any guys who mite have boyfriends but still hold conservative views, or, god forbid, even vote (r). "self-hating homosexuals", and all that jazz. ~.~

still, amb stevens was an obama-admin ambassador...surely he was the "right type of gay"? i'm not sure because i dunno nething about him, but i'd reckon that an ambassador of obama's would be...so i still just can't understand the alacrity with which amb stevens was apparently thrown under the bus with the media's initial "well, guys, america sort of deserved this one because a private film-maker made a film".

that moral cover be provided for a bunch of thugs who raped and murdered a gay man who was in their country on a mission of peace and mutual understanding by a media who promotes islam as a religion of "peace" that needs better "understanding" is nigh inconceivable in its illogic.

"No you misinderstand something...I am not going to change the hearts and minds of voters w/media to keep the nation as is I want to punish the media period."

fair enough, and i'm on the same boat as you. i just don't cotton well to folks outright lying about something, then getting caught in the lie and laughing it off (literally) because they know they will never be held to account for it.

karmic justice, sometimes, works a bit slow for my tastes... :p

Ace, with all due respect, it's not about ideology or party: it's about caste. The patrician caste, which runs the institutions, including the media, wanting to work their will on the plebian caste - us bitter clingers. That's all. Very simple: they have the power and the money and get to make the rules; and we don't, and they want to keep it that way. And one thing about power: it knows no limits, it accepts no restrictions; so of course they want more of it - not because it actually benefits them, but because the more power they have, the more important their membership in the patrician caste becomes.

Fucking bayonets would fix it faster.

287 My daughter, whom I have converted to a Romney voter after 6 months of her underemployment and me explaining national debt, entitlements, the budget, and how businesses work, also did not know the following:

1. She did not understand that Obama has been lying about the video for 12 days
2. She did not know about Fast and Furious AT ALL
3. She did not know about Bill Ayers and the Weather Underground
4. She did not know about the statement in the UN speech that people shouldn't defame the Prophet of Islam.
5. She did not know about any of the racist and communist statements Obama made in his book.

Talk to everyone you know. I engage people in the grocery store with comments like "these meat prices remind me of the Soviet Union." If they are dem-leaning, I talk about inflation due to QE3 and how all of us are going to be paying more and how I don't think it is fair to poor people.

If they are Republicans, I get them going and complaining in loud voices so we can be overheard.

I am not one who likes confrontation and am generally pretty circumspect. But this is our country we have to save, and our grandchildren we must protect. So we must talk to everyone! If you have a dim bulb relative who isn't getting it, get a copy of the Obama book and underline the damning comments he made IN HIS OWN WORDS! Then make them read it.

288 why the hell are there no hard-hitting romney commercials asking these questions? we know where the buck stops. this is not the time to go soft. a political add with our ambassador being dragged through the streets of a libyan city will have an effect.

290 "It is now clear State Media Propaganda and these people should be shot."

You won't get any argument from me.

Matter of fact, if one of more of these shitheads were to be strung up, I'd be willing to pay to watch..

291 "This isn't ideological bias, then. This is pure advocacy for a political party."

I don't know whether to be discouraged beyond telling that this sounds like a new and fresh insight for you and you have discovered something; or that you think the discovery will somehow make a difference or shame liberals into finally seeing the truth!!!!

All I can say to our side is GROW UP. It's a war. The MSM have never been anything but the propaganda wing of the Dem Party. The Dem Party has never been anything but the Nationalist Socialist Tyranny Party in America.

Ever.

They will do what their confreres always do. Mayhem, murder, destruction, annihilation and slavery. It's what they because it's who they are.

One of these days Conservatives - aka normal people - will wake up and admit the reality of the case. That's the first and necessary step or we have no chance.

292 "Because no one champions the right of government to let people be murdered and then lie about it."

No one? Let's remind everyone:

If you want to make an omelet, you have to be willing to break a few eggs. ~ Lenin

We have the New Party in charge. Socialists, Marxists, and Communists abound in academia and media. Many are useful idiots. But some are not. Team Obama is not a herd of useful idiots and neither are many producing "news". They will break eggs with great enthusiasm.

295 What is truth?

Posted by: Pontus Pilate at September 30, 2012 10:47 PM (+QKfp)

296 Ace is only just now catching on to the fact that leftists are evil.

Media leftists who lie and work so hard to assassinate the truth are part and parcel of the very same left that works hard each day to destroy our nation from within. Now that they have a die-hard leftist in the White House, they're pulling out all the stops to keep him there.

So yeah, they're going to lie to protect him. They're going to champion the idea that the government gets to lie to the people it is supposed to serve. What is more, they believe in the right of the state to murder its own citizens, provided those citizens aren't leftists.

If the civil war I believe we are headed into ever comes to pass, the leftist media will champion the right of the communist faction to gun down their opponents in the street and to bash in the skulls of their children.

Mark my words.

I, on the other hand, champion the right of Americans to protect and defend the constitution and their own liberty BY ANY MEANS NECESSARY.

297 Lee Reynolds-

If anyone on the right is not ready for violence, they're doing it wrong. The Red States will try to break away. If the Blues let us go, well and good. We'll prosper as Americans, they can all be broke in their command economy states. If the Blues try to stop us.....

298 Media bias is not new, but is certainly now worse than ever. But beyond complaining about it, what is to be done?

Left-wing media bias has been around a long time. For example, pushing the GOP candidate for President as a dolt and the Dem candidate as an intellectual giant has been a constant since at least Eisenhower v. Stevenson.

ButI have always found it a great mystery, while loudly complaining for more than half a century, no big-money conservatives ever bought controlling interests in these institutions (newspapers, TV networks, etc.) and simply fired everyone.

299 Here's a factoid to pass along that should give pause even to brainwashed bozos:

EXECUTIVE ORDERS ISSUED…
Teddy Roosevelt: 3
Others up to FDR: NONE
FDR: 11 in 16 years
Truman: 5
in 7 years
Ike: 2 in 8
years
Kennedy: 4 in 3 years
LBJ: 4
in 5 years
Nixon: 1 in 6
years
Ford: 3 in 2
years
Carter: 3 in 4
years
Reagan: 5 in 8
years
Bush: 3 in 4
years
Clinton: 15 in 8 years
George W. Bush: 62
in 8 years
Obama: 923 in 3 1/2 years!

Nine-hundred and twenty-three executive ORDERS in 3.5 years. At this pace, he will have signed TWO THOUSAND AND TWELVE such orders in 8 years.

That is thirty-four (34) times as many executive orders as George Bush . . . .the implications are staggering.

Pass it on.

300 THERE IS NO MEDIA BIAS.

Bias implies that the media knows both sides of an issue and then lands left-of-center to favor their side of things.

In reality, if you have a far left-wing understanding of the world, and you are smart and well-educated, three career paths are most open to you: 1) academia; 2) journalist; 3) a political career in the Democratic party.

The smartest and most able go with #1 and #2. #3 is the product of #s 1 & 2.
