The press asks, and the California pageant group confirms, that she's had breast enhancement surgery. Like we couldn't tell (see pic at link). And like most beauty pageant competitors haven't had some work. So what warrants the special "vetting" of Miss California by the Enchanted Media? Gee, I have no idea. In related news, Nancy Pelosi, aka Granny Rictus McBotoxImplants, has had no plastic surgery whatsoever. Can the press make it any more obvious that if you cross them on their preferred politics and candidates, they're going to do everything in their power to harm you? It's creepy. The press is, supposedly, neutral and independent, so their bad behavior should, in theory, not be particularly frightening. But they are essentially acting as the bullies and secret police -- secret police as in blackmail and public revelation of embarrassing information, not backroom beatings -- of the government. They're not actually part of the government. But they sure are acting as if they are the government's goon squad. And while the formal separation of government and media goons is there, in practice... well, the true lines between them seem increasingly obliterated.Comments

I've always wondered how liberal Americans will take it when their strident pro-gay advocacy rebounds on them. After all, if opposing gay-marriage is "hate speech", then how about polygamy? i was actually one one of those stupid hollywood sites last night. There was a link HOWEVER from a website that had interviewed several different plastic surgeons. After "looking" at the photo's all of the plastic surgeons came to the same conclusion: She DID NOT have any work done. Now honestly I dont care whether she had stuff done or not, but does anyone else think that the CA pageant people could be lying about her just to hurt her?? They arent exactly on good terms I dont think. Those plastic surgeons had no agenda in coming to the conclusion they came too. So I say take anything the CA pageant people say with a grain of salt.

The reason the press is referred to as the "4th estate" is because its job of informing the public and busting down the lofty and powerful is supposed to act as a check and balance against the three branches of goverment - the three estates.
