Good Lord: CNN More Than Triples the Livestream Traffic from Election Night

Just sent this by CNN:

Although, this is preliminary data and it may very well be higher - according to early data, as of 1p ET today, CNN.com Live served more than 18.8 million live video streams globally since 6a, shattering its all time total daily streaming record set on Election Day with 5.3 million live streams. (Source: Omniture SiteCatalyst, global). Additionally, CNN.com Live served 1.3 million concurrent live streams during its peak, which occurred immediately prior to President Obama’s inaugural address. (Source: Internal CDN monitoring data).

It's really terribly hard to defeat someone with this kind of intense support.

We've got our work cut out for us.

The Media will ensure this presidency is successful. Because One Term presidents are Unsuccessful by definition, Obama president has to serve two terms. Therefore, it's a given you are looking at 8 years. All well and good.

The real action for our side is to ensure the 22 Amendment (Two Terms Max per President) is not overturned. The country doesn't need to take a side trip into Hugo Chavez territory.

When Obama does something bad like granting unlimited amnesty to illegal aliens, build the proposed Islamic monument on the site of the crash of Flight 93, repeal the Bush tax cuts, or spend like crazy, call him on it in a rational, dignified manner. Make sure the criticism gets out to the public. Make sure the criticism is on-target, calm, and rational. It has to appeal to common sense. The idea here is to register opposition in the public mind. We can't win the argument right now because people's minds are closed. What we can do is raise questions and doubt.

Then, as Obama's policies inevitably begin to fail, people will inevitably lose their irrational faith in the false one. It will start dawning on them that Obama has made key mistakes and that conservatives would not have made those mistakes.

By about June or July, put forth the new pan-Republican effort, perhaps calling it "The Campaign Against Corruption." This should be a broad push to oppose corruption in government at all levels emanating from Republicans or Democrats, and to secure the voting process for the sake of all US citizens. The point here will be to draw attention to the many corruption-type foibles that the Obama Administration has and will be getting into.

Throughout the year, conservatives need to go back to basics, back to the fundamentals of their beliefs. Hopefully, a good writer will summarize it in a 10-page pamphlet: the rule of law, lower taxes, limited but effective government, clean government, a strong national defense, and a commitment to morality and decency. Admit failures and apologize for them. Lead America with absolute idealism, acting like you want other Americans to act.

Don't be wedded to any single candidate. Don't have a pet issue other than God or country. Do not refuse to compromise on if higher goals can be reached. Stay open-minded, optimistic, and always cheer your fellow conservatives on.

It's always darkest before the dawn. I believe Obama will be at best an average president, and could be worse. Let's hope for the best for our country no matter what happens. Realistically, that will probably require that Obama have a "road to Damascus" type of experience.

Calm disagreement. Steady purpose. Slowly unfolding campaign to vindicate the ideals of our country. We can do it.

64 In the digital age, my fellow conservatives need to pay attention and participate with more than just words. Blogs are not enough. We must win the information war on every front and we are far behind. Consider the following:
1. No conservative national print newspapers exist to any appreciable degree.
- Do not discount print media because they are losing readership, they are still there day after day. The countryclub republicans that are conservative lite at the Wall Street Journal do little for our cause.
2. Only one fair news station exists. So stark in contrast to its liberal cohorts, it is mistakenly called conservative.
- CNN, ABC, NBC, CBS, and MSNBC not to mention PBS advance the liberal agenda every day.
3. Talk radio is owned by conservatives but has a limited demographic reach.
- Limbaugh seems to have more original content on a daily basis, but Hannity sounds like a broken record. I like both, but we need to provoke thought, not just slap people with rhetoric, there is a distinct difference.
4. MTV, most sitcoms, and even many sci-fi channel shows advance subtly and overtly a liberal and secular view of society and the world.
- Look at the "REal World" from its real beginning to its blatant indoctrination today. Look at Ellen, Oprah, the view, Saving Grace (though Debra Messing is beautiful), Battlestar Galactica is outing a character as Gay and showing the male to male session on an episode

Until conservatives put their money where their mouth is by gaining controlling interests in these organizations, we will continue to lose the information war for years to come. Misinformation will only die incrementally as it was introduced to us, ie the New Deal and the rampant socialism build up that has followed. One of my Political Science professors in 1992 bragged that the U.S. had already adopted 8 of 11 principles espoused by Karl Marx. That was 16 years ago people! It is up to us in the under fifty crowd to fix this mess.

Obama's inauguration has accomplished one important thing. Our country still has racist people, white, black, and all colors in between, but we definitively are no longer can be called a racist nation by anyone who is intellectually honest. Not that I expect intellectual honesty from liberals, but there it is.
