Except for local phone-calling, actual poll watching, and door knocking, most of us were from out of state, funded (room and stipend) by RNCC.

Pretty sure there are multiple thousands of illegals voting in elections in almost all states and those numbers can potentially throw an election.
Remember 2016 basically came down to less than 200,000 votes in three states that Trump barley squeaked wins in. wisconsin, michigan and pennsylvania, those states gave him 46 EV's which put him over the top. They should have all gone for hillary which would have given her the win but she refused to actually campaign there while Trump did.

The photos, bless our hearts, are pitiful. Parts of laughing faces, etc. I think there might be one somewhere stored that is ok.

If you're talking about WinApps or Winboat, they don't actually run Windows programs natively. They run a lightweight version of windows in docker and then rdp to it to display the app as if it's running in Linux.

If you're talking about WinApps or Winboat, they don't actually run Windows programs natively. They run a lightweight version of windows in docker and then rdp to it to display the app as if it's running in Linux.

My organized husband sometimes wistfully tells me to take small bites out of my life of horror procrastination. He hails from OCD parents. I am not sure what I hail from but it ain't staying organized, and my parents hid it well if they were not.
I listen, consider, feel I have read this, debate in my mind, then go on to live another day not getting anything done. I got something done yesterday and am exhausted.
It is all mild stuff, we are not living in hoarder land with piles of newspapers. I just need to organize a few things and nope!
I am simply bored with being on top of things (something happened to me when I retired and became unplugged from the alarm clock).
Now I don't have a pool in the summer and this is my silent protest or mental snapping of energy synapses due to a vitamin deficiency. I hope I spelled that correctly as I am too tired to look it up.

If it is your everything machine, get a std. linux distro (debian/ubuntu/mint, a or red hat variant, etc.) as they usually will work with existing peripherals, etc.
And that is still one of the bigger problems with Linux--hardware drivers including graphics cards--AMD and Intel have decent drivers, Nvidia hit or miss.
You can run Steam from Linux easily.
If you only plan on gaming with the computer, then Steam OS will be fine but still recommend AMD graphics in that case.

I friggin hate windows microsoft now. It is basically impossible to just do stuff anymore. Every damned day another thing breaks or has another work around and I feel like Harrison Bergeron with dozens of weights loading me down.
Big corps are run by people that I assume get personal hourly bjs by MS marketing because that's all anyone buys. And they slurp up all of it. They force every single horrid MS system on us. From teams to office to project to outlook to onedrive to sharepoint to powerbi to the whole enshitified microsoft universe.
And no IT will ever take the time to fix any of the broken crap they deploy. So the poor users just get more and more daily morass.

Older Windows programs, a lot of them work with WINE or its paid version, Crossover. But expect some oddities at times--WINE actually rates specific programs into Gold, Silver, and Bronze--Gold is pretty much go to go, Silver, expect some hiccups, Bronze, not worth the time really.
If you have really old games on DOS, then OS/2 is what you want or DR DOS which is now freeware I think.

There was once a time where I could just sit down at a linux terminal (or VM mainframe or VAX yeah that old) and get to engineerin' and not worry about f'ing MS. But those days are long over. Even if I remote desktop/putty/ssh whatever in I have to interface with everyone else through the MS universe. And interfacing is about all I do anymore. And I have to use the enshitified MS universe they impose on me.

Volunteers are working with Nouveau which is an open source Nvidia driver and doing so with little to no help from Nvidia.
