I have to brag on that old SOB. He's just an old redneck without much of an education, but he's smart as heck and twice as philosophical.
One of his favorite jokes/sayings is "most everything can be fixed with your tackle box." Meaning there might be tweezers, duct tape, a band aid, pliers, etc. that can physically repair something, or the act of being out in nature will help you get over what is bothering you.

My baby brother deployed four times to Iraq. I wrote him letters regularly (at least onc a week, often twice). He would read them aloud to his buddies. (they would say, is that from Mike?) Turns out I did my part. It wasn't even anything deep, just my side of talking with my brother. Movies, books, daily life things.
Write often. Does not need to be philosophy.

Part of my wife's ailment is crippling migraines. She gets both botox injections 4x a year and what her MD calls 'dry needling' every two weeks to help control the pain. It works for her. Try everything and try different Drs/practitioners until someone trips over the proper (for her) treatment.

She should ask her dr to refer her to a headache specialist.
One of my bp meds (beta blocker) has the nice side effect of preventing migraines (along with some bad side effects). But there are newer classes of anti migraine meds (the anti CGRP ones) that are better but generally $$$ .
But avoid triptans - cheap rescue but very high risk of stroke.
Also she should keep a journal noting any possible migraine triggers.

Whew, husband, oldest son and grandsons, 9 and 4 , just got in Kennewick WA for the night. They left this morning from Wyoming traveling to Port Townsend, WA to visit youngest son for the next week.

I used sumitriptan for my migraines. They were so bad that I got one day off a month from work. I also couldn't keep down anything including the meds. Even tried a suppository to no available. They went away completely after leaving that job. Haven't a migraine since2014.

It took me decades to see a neurologist about my migraine headaches. So, my advice is to see a neurologist. I take some stuff every other day as a preventative and I've got some stuff for the once or twice a month that my head actually hurts. Of course, if doctors are already involved, why haven't they started giving her something like rizatriptan, which seems like the entry-level migraine treatment? Easter is movable, of course, but it always seem like Easter will be cold, no matter if it's early or late.
I was discussing this with my re-tard meteorologist cousin. He agreed that it seemed like that. He could to looking at the Easter date distribution and the various latest frost probabilities, and decided this was a statistical trick of sorts.
That is, there were probably a few late Easters that weren't too cold feeling, but we just can't remember them. In fact he looked up the records and found a few.

I had to look up DST and time zones in Australia. It is said that Australia has the craziest time zones in the world.
DST (for those regions that observe it) begins first of Oct. and ends first of April (first Sunday rule of some sort).
For some strange reason in the middle of the country, there are 30 minute time zones, UTC+10.5 and +9.5. And then some crazy localities adopted 45 minute time zones, these are small, but have to be observed.
And then there's a miss mash of which parts of all that observe DST and which don't. Crazy thing is it can be 30 minutes or 45 later going west, depending.

It took me decades to see a neurologist about my migraine headaches. So, my advice is to see a neurologist. I take some stuff every other day as a preventative and I've got some stuff for the once or twice a month that my head actually hurts. Of course, if doctors are already involved, why haven't they started giving her something like rizatriptan, which seems like the entry-level migraine treatment? She has no insurance except for the college student required minimal coverage. So the kid avoids getting medical care to keep expenses low. Never mind that her family is extremely well off but lacking in any common sense and logic. I do not understand them. I am furious with her parents for not paying for a health plan for their daughter. It's ridiculous!
Son will be able to add her to his insurance since he has a new job with that option. I will get her an appointment with a neurologist either in South fl, Orlando, or Vero area.

I think pretty much everything went according to my preferences. EEAAO was the only movie of the year that really challenged my ability to interpret what was going on, a brilliant concept, and Ke Huy Quan in particular was all over the place.
Those bitching Angela Bassett should have had the supporting actress award ignores the fact that fundamentally most Marvel movies are shit. A great performance in a cookie cutter lowest common denominator franchise will not win anything, should not win anything. Even if black.

My son's hockey team did not do well at State, but they did win against Fairbanks. At one point, one of our boys talked smack to the idiot from FBX who probably got kicked out of football and had to skate hockey: "Dude, can you even speak in a declarative sentence?" You gotta love the intellectual high school hockey player. Ended up at 1.7 seconds left, tied game, two FBX players in the sin bin (for being aggressive idiots), and a one-timer from a face off scoring for our team.
Not only did the idiots give it up, they did so in high fashion.
