Somebody in upper management would have banned me. And the elites such as Joe Biden, Chuck Schumer, Mitch McConnell, Mitt Romney, Et al. wonder why ordinary Americans hate them with all of their being. Democrat President Joe Biden’s administration is advancing plans to usher in a “digital ID” system that seeks to gather and store data on all Americans. The plan was revealed in the Biden admin’s 2023 National Security Strategy (NSS). Among other points, the NSS calls for increased taxpayer funding to invest in digital IDs. The White House is short on detail regarding this issue and privacy implications, however. Nevertheless, the NSS does mention the Chinese Communist Party-style “biometrics” at least once. Bound for the battlefield, sounding harried and anxious, the Russian soldier placed a hasty phone call — to a Ukrainian military hotline. “They say you can help me surrender voluntarily, is that right?” asked the serviceman, explaining that he was soon to be deployed near the southern Ukrainian city of Kherson. “When Ukrainian soldiers come, do I just kneel down, or what? Do you promise not to film me while this is happening?” As more and more Baby Boomers hit the ranks of retired. And Gen Z enters into the field of management, will their ilk return to the office? Time will tell. Shark Tank investor Kevin O’Leary says Gen Z has ‘no intention’ of ever coming to the office. He’s almost definitely wrong The pandemic has given life to a new generation of workers who have “no intention” of working in an office, says Kevin O’Leary, billionaire investor and Shark Tank star. “They never have, they never will. People keep saying, ‘Oh, they’re gonna all come back.’ They’re not,” O’Leary told CNN on Friday. Nearly half of the workers across O’Leary’s venture portfolio work remotely, he said, adding that “they ain’t coming into the office, period. That’s it. That’s just the way it’s gonna be.” But countless data shows that Mr. Wonderful might be slightly off the mark. He’s not wrong about younger workers’ interest in working remotely: The past three years have given Gen Z a reputation for being noncommittal, disloyal, or flighty toward their workplaces, but they really just want more autonomy. Much data suggests that they’ve led the Great Resignation, job-hopping mere months after starting work in search of better pay, more flexibility, and more comprehensive benefits. To be honest, I worked remotely before most of these little snow flakes were born. Copy cat attempts to be Cocaine Bear. Cocaine Bear is not alone, it seems. An exotic feline that was spotted high up on a tree in the dark of night is giving off cocaine cat vibes. Dog wardens responded to reports of a leopard on a tree in the Oakley neighborhood of Cincinnati, Ohio. Cell phone video showed a cat with a spotted golden coat and large ears perched on a tree branch. Officials, suspecting it was a F1 Savannah house cat, managed to capture it and took it to an animal shelter. Cincinnati Animal CARE ran some tests on the cat and found out its species – which wasn’t even the biggest surprise. It was found to have cocaine in its system. Kid Rock Tells ‘Woke’ Left to Pound Sand, Announces New Shows Called ‘No Snowflakes Summer Concert’ Music legend Kid Rock has told the “woke” Left to go pound sand while announcing a new limited city run of arena concerts this summer. The guitarist had overcome several health battles in recent years. "It is with our deepest sympathy and sadness that we have to advise, that we lost our brother, friend, family member, songwriter and guitarist, Gary Rossington, today," the band wrote in an official statement. "Gary is now with his Skynyrd brothers and family in heaven and playing it pretty, like he always does. Please keep Dale, Mary, Annie and the entire Rossington family in your prayers and respect the family’s privacy at this difficult time." It's unclear if Lynyrd Skynyrd will continue without the guitarist. Their longest-tenured member is now Johnny Van Zant, who began singing in place of his late brother Ronnie Van Zant in 1987. Rickey Medlocke, with Lynyrd Skynyrd again since 1996, also had a brief stint with the group in 1971–72. Stephanie Sanabria appears in a mugshot after being arrested for allegedly putting students in a chokehold at an elementary school in Connecticut on Feb. 24, 2023. (Norwalk Police Department) An elementary school teacher in Connecticut has resigned and been arrested after allegedly placing several students in chokeholds during a martial arts demonstration she had no business performing. Stephanie Sanabria, 50, faces charges including strangulation in the second degree, risk of injury to a minor, and reckless endangerment in the first degree, according to a press release from the Norwalk Police Department. The fifth-graders were placed in chokeholds while she was working as a math coach at Brookside Elementary School on Feb. 24, police said. I enjoy the warm and fuzzy Tonight's Feel Good Story of The Day. Armed homeowner shoots naked stranger who attacked him with frying pan A homeowner in rural Virginia will not face charges after defending himself from an unwanted and unexpected visit from a stark-naked stranger who recently tried to break into his home and assault him with a cast-iron frying pan. Authorities in Carroll County, Virginia say the incident happened on the evening of Sunday, February 26th when the homeowner heard a noise coming from the rear of his home. When the man went to investigate, he spotted the unknown woman in her birthday suit coming through his door frying pan in hand. The woman repeatedly managed to hit the man in both his head and one of his hands before he was able to push her out of the house and lock the back door, but the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office reports that didn’t stop the woman from once again trying to gain entry. That's always been odd, respiratory viruses do not have this sort of mortality rate -- it's maladaptive. There was a paper out over 10 years ago that argues most of that "young and healthy" mortality was iatrogenic. Sound familiar? At the time, aspirin was a new wonder drug, poorly understood. They gave doses of it in the range 8g - 31g per day. That's grams. 8000mg to 31,000g doses. They didn't know what they were doing. I'm convinced I got it back in Dec of 2019. My then 3 y/o daughter got sick and tested positive of influenza A and B, but got over it relatively quickly. The wife and I, who were both on the high side of 29, got sick right after that and holy fvck was it bad. I'd had respiratory illnesses before, but nothing that made it hard to breathe for like a week. I *never* go to the hospital, and was damn close to heading in. Took us both out for almost a month. The basic gist - a young woman tells him women are oppressed in America. He asks how, she tells him it isn't her job to educate him. He then tries a different tack, pointing out women AND men have often been oppressed at various points. She asks him for proof and he stops incredulous for a moment asking if he is supposed to educate her? And I've personally seen this argument style from lefties. They'll make a claim. I once received an electric bill for $5600.00. The first lady I talked to at the electric company seemed to think that I had obviously had central air conditioning installed, explaining my increased electricity use. I went downstairs, read my meter, inside my house at the time, and saw that the true reading was quite different from the reading listed on my bill. My second call was to a gentleman at the electric company that was appalled that the bill was even sent as it was obviously in error. He had it corrected in about two minutes and with the correct reading, the electric company actually owed me about two months of electricity.
After that, I just had to worry about the police thinking I was running a pot growing operation in my basement and kicking in my door. Posted by: JB1000 at March 09, 2023 12:32 AM (bXn0x) 334

It was funny. 0.4 acres was how long it took it me to get the plow adjusted just right. Then I was through. I wonder how many people around here would know how to adjust a bottom plow. Not too many. I would've got it plowed it before, but I had to put new points (shares) on and a new shin. Which was hard to find. The moldboards themselves are worn pretty thin, and I'm thinking about getting some new ones. They don't make 'em anymore, but you can still get some. Might better get em while I can. They run about $150 apiece. Posted by: publius, Rascally Mr. Miley (Mzdiz) at March 09, 2023 12:48 AM (Mzdiz) 349
There's nothing like a bottom plow to turn over ground that hasn't been in cultivation for years. Because of modern conservation practices, bottom plows are falling out of use. In one location in Africa we lived in an apartment (flat). The country was run by 'the locals'. At some stage they replaced all the electricity meters. The next month most of us in that apartment block received ridiculous bills. What happened is that the bright spark(s) who planned and/or executed this, did not make a record of the current reading of the to-be-replaced meter nor did they make a record of the replacement meter reading (not zero because reconditioned). Since there was no relationship between each pair of meters, it was potluck what the meaningless 'usage' indicated. Typically the response to the complaint was 'pay now and wait for a refund'. Yes, Right. In Africa? Maybe by 2099? We just didn't pay until they sorted it out by charging us the average of the previous three months.

What are you lookin' for, Petey? 4 bottom? 5 bottom. More? Mounted? Semi-mounted? Pull type? On-land or in-furrow? You're gonna need 15 - 25 HP per bottom, depending on size 14", 16" or 18", and soil conditions. Here, in our soil 4 bottoms is cakewalk for a 110HP tractor. There's nothing like a bottom plow to turn over ground that hasn't been in cultivation for years. Because of modern conservation practices, bottom plows are falling out of use. The last John Deer bottom plow rolled off the assembly line some time earlier this year, I read. No more made.

Here's a more practical, less theoretical bottom plow setting up video: https://tinyurl.com/2n7lgjln Note there he assumes the point H from the above is 4" to the left of center. That's about right for the that setup, but it does vary slightly. This afternoon, I did that basic stuff, and it took me that 0.4 acres to get it set right. It didn't really matter, because that 8700 is big enough to just force the plow to do what it wants, but leveling and pitch is important. Forcing the plow is inefficient, of course. At optimum, you're using the least of amount of force to pull the plow, without sideways forces to fight. If the plow was about full capacity for the tractor, you'd need to do the line of pull fine tuning. Posted by: publius, Rascally Mr. Miley (Mzdiz) at March 09, 2023 02:11 AM (Mzdiz) 386

FWIW, my wife made the observation more than once that one of the qualifications for the new hires at our children's HS seemed to be physical attractiveness.
