Americans lost $10 billion to Indian call centre scams in 2022.

I tried a parking app for Chicago. I went into the BIG Shitty yesterday to finally celebrate Christmas with my family. Got the app and found a good, pay, spot. The bad thing with it is that at 29, driving in traffic, fumbling for the phone so I can show the QR code to the all seeing eye, I turn the phone off, a block from the entrance,
Pull over in a no parking zone. Start phone, call up the code and then enter. The good part was that the same QR code needed to be scanned so that you can enter the building to access the elevator when you leave. Posted by: Bruce at December 27, 2022 05:03 AM (vd8XM) 26

Cash payers pay more for services than the insured do - this is nonsensical and an illustration of one problem with our health care delivery system. The price is the price. It's like these prescription commercials, how can there be a way that drug costs vary by how you pay for it, other than something like credit card carrying costs?

Southwest has surprisingly few "bus routes" in spite of their reputation. Whereas folks like United Express fly back and forth on the same route during a day (think to Houston to Birmingham and back two times a day), Southwest typically has 3 to 4 multi-leg routes on the bounce for a plane and crew. When it works, it's magic, when it doesn't it's garbage. They are a long way removed from the days of flying back and forth from Love to Hobby for $17.

The particulars don't really concern me. Its a shitty carrier in a shitty industry getting criticized now by a shitty government. I have no dog in the fight. I win either way. The comments in that story on Fox irritated me - don't know why I bothered. A ton of Contemporary Conservatives felt the need to defend a "private company". Same company in the same industry that was one of the biggest vax and mask pushers. Same industry that's constantly pushing more and more restrictions on everything, all in the name of "public safety". Fuck 'em all. Sometimes - most times, really - there's no good guy and bad guy. Just bad and worse guys. Let Southwest and the FAA eat each other. I win either way. Felony convictions and a lot of drug use, coupled with poor physical fitness. I can imagine a land whale trying to get through a scuttle in a water-tight door. On ships, the ladder going from one deck to another below the waterline is a hazard to watertight integrity, and could sink the ship if not sealable. The deck opening is protected by a heavy watertight door. In the center of that door is a round hatch opened with a wheel. It can be tight for the large. Rackspace still cannot give us access to our email history, because they totally suck and they were ransomwared. But mostly because they suck. We also can't get access to any emails that arrived between the day they locked down our (and thousands of other companies) Exchange system, and when we completed the switchover to M365 and populated the DNS system with the new addresses; about a week of company emails that were "received" but never viewed by anyone.

Are these statements in the transcripts, and part of the record?
Posted by: Village Idiot's Apprentice at December 27, 2022 07:19 AM (1n+EO) yes Another example was Betty's vmail saying there is not record of chain of custody for over 300,000 ballots. Several people said there is NO BETTY that works for county. This went on on both days of the trial. They had a business card for the Director of Outreach Betty Galanter. Tom Liddy responded to this with another lie, changing his story and stating that “the question was asked about a Betty who works in the Cheating Maricopa County public records department, and there is no Betty who works in the Cheating Maricopa County public records department.” He continued, “That goes directly to my integrity.” Notice he changed from the Elections dept to the Records Dept. "Americans lost $10 billion to Indian call centre scams in 2022. (Deccan Herald)
To put that into perspective, that's as much as they lost to civil asset forfeiture or to a single major crypto scam, or about 5% of the pork Congress added into the CHIPS Act which was 95% pork to begin with." But less than they lost to the Ukrainian Aid scam by an order of magnitude. Posted by: Aetius451AD at December 27, 2022 07:34 AM (CsVWE) 228
