To address that, a transitional committee that will be made up of 24 countries tasked with finding funding sources and establishing a structure and governance for the fund will be established.The new Republican House majority has the power of the purse. Any US funding for this can only happen if the House Republican leadership allows it. This would be a fine time to show a little backbone. Republicans plan to kill a special committee focused on climate change when they take control of the House next year, the top GOP member of the panel said Thursday. “The Climate Crisis Committee will not exist,” Louisiana Representative Garret Graves, the top GOP member of the House Select Committee on the Climate Crisis, said in an interview. “I don’t think that’s really consistent with what we are going to be focused on.”

Even if Target hadn’t been contributing to pro-crime and anti-police organizations, they would still deserve this because of all the woke crud they’re trying to inflict on everyone else. So long as Target’s woke executives think it’s swell to have men walk in on girls who are using the bathroom, and so long as Target is pushing transgenderism on the children of its customers, those executives deserve to see the street crime division of Woke, Inc. ravage Target’s income statement.
It was nothing but political theater. Maybe Abbott couldn’t stand being left out of the horserace discussions that are going on about who will be the GOP’s 2024 presidential candidate. In testimony before the Texas legislature’s Senate Border Committee, the Governor’s budget director assured the legislators that Abbott was just posturing, and is not in fact going to take any action.
Abbott's budget director, Sarah Hicks, was asked Tuesday about the tweet during her testimony before the state's Senate Committee on Border Security and she reassured the panel of Texas legislators that the governor was not announcing a new strategy, but was rather reiterating some of the actions he has already taken to stem illegal immigration. "I don't think it is a change in overall tactic as much as it is a reminder to all of us, to Congress and to the members working the issue that this is serious and it demands a full and serious response," Hicks said.

Wait. Target has discount stores? I mean, like Woolco was the discount brand of Woolworth's?
They're not too badly priced, but Target has never been a "cheap" retailer. I was in a local one yesterday and I certainly didn't see vast amounts of merchandise being price-slashed.

Last time I walked into Target it was, how can I put it...SUUUUUUUUPER gay! Something about the color, store layout...just the atmosphere in general was deeply queer. And I had forgotten all about the tranny bathroom thing.

My problem comes when Miss Linda drags me into the female clothing section, however briefly. There are these enormous billboards up on the walls with fat people in them. Now I'm no fan of the anorexic "heroin chic" look in models, but these baby hippos in lingerie are way too much in the other direction.
Same thing at Victoria's Secret. (Her secret now is that she's been eating chocolate cake every night. That would be okay, but it's an entire cake.)

I saw the exact moment when Minneapolis and Saint Paul went up for grabs after the George Floyd Riots started on Tuesday Night. It was broadcast live on local TV as a breaking story.
It was Wednesday afternoon, in the midway Shopping District ten miles from 38th and Chicago where Floyd died. It was about 2:00 pm, and they began looting the Target Store. About a hundred people looting and setting fires in the Target store. Random destruction for kicks.
The Minneapolis PD showed up in two squad cars, and drove around the parking lot and LEFT. No arrests, they did not even try clearing the people out of the Target Store rapidly filling with smoke.
I knew right then that unless they brought in a whole lot of National Guard, the rioters and looters were going to destroy the Twin Cities.
Governor Walz did not call out the Guard. Minneapolis and Saint Paul BURNED for the next three nights until he Finally called out the NG on Saturday Morning.

The Salvation Army is another woke organization. I stopped giving after their anti white memo came out. I used to drop a couple bucks going in and out of each store that had a bell ringer with their kettle, not a lot of money but probably $75 during the season.
It was sad walking by the ringers last weekend but they changed the rules. I give that $75 to other organizations now.

129 - IC… the transition was incredibly easy. Stuff like license plates and drivers license I found Texas government very efficient and easy to navigate. We found a good realtor so the house search and buying was relatively easy. Overall no complaints! The bonus - I haven’t worn a silly mask since I got here. They were ubiquitous in CA when I left

I could not understand why Chip and Joanna Gaines decided to place their Magnolia products in Target right when all the tranny crap started and why they continue to use them as their retail channel. I used to give very generously to them. They did good work. For all I know, they still do. It doesn't matter. They have a Social Justice commission. I started giving a lot less when I learned that. Then when their asinine and offensive memo came out, I cut my support to zero.
This year, my company is doing a matching donation thing. I have gone through there list of approved organizations. There is not a single one that I will support. The causes I might care about are all woke orgs, and the orgs that might not be awful are for causes that I don't care to support.
I don't have a single worthwhile charity left at this point. Even my old standby - the local "Meals on Wheels" outfit - is all about "social justice."

This year, my company is doing a matching donation thing. I have gone through there list of approved organizations. There is not a single one that I will support. The causes I might care about are all woke orgs, and the orgs that might not be awful are for causes that I don't care to support.
I don't have a single worthwhile charity left at this point. Even my old standby - the local "Meals on Wheels" outfit - is all about "social justice."

IC… the transition was incredibly easy. Stuff like license plates and drivers license I found Texas government very efficient and easy to navigate. We found a good realtor so the house search and buying was relatively easy. Overall no complaints! The bonus - I haven’t worn a silly mask since I got here. They were ubiquitous in CA when I left

The rest are being purchased by tech workers from Frisco, who can't even afford to buy a closet-sized condo in the Bay Area, but they can get a really nice McMansion in Modesto. Just wait until the tech layoffs really get started and watch the Valley's RE market circle the bowl.

So PA - after a brief respite of what appears to have been partial sanity, not to mention an economic boom unknown since the de-industrialization of the northeast - is slipping beneath the waves for good? The continual myth that Abbott somehow fvcked the Texas Electrical Grid is bullshit, and is a fable perpetuated by the Left.
OBAMA'S EPA fvcked the TX Grid, by decree, ripping out dozens of existing coal-fired powerplants, disassembling them and shipping them over to ChyNah, so that THEY would have abundant electricity and air pollution. (then) Gov. Perry had few options other than to suck up to the Fed tit for shit like wind and solar, because $ub$idie$.

The 2019 election that flipped 4 Philly suburban counties to the demorats sounded the death knell. At that moment I knew that the PA GOP was going the road of NY state GOP, Cali, IL, all the formerly red strongholds.
When Tom Corbett was Governor, from 2011-2015, GOP held all three branches of government, and could have legislated our EVs be apportioned according to Congressional district. Instead, they dropped the ball.
