National Review prides itself on not being too quick to jump on the "crazy" ideas of the "far right." So it takes them 18 months to two years to acknowledge the "crazy" ideas of the "far right" are actually correct. It would be "irresponsible" to endorse these ideas sooner, without a full vetting.

They never seem to acknowledge that their rivals on the "far right" advanced these positions long ago. They always pretend they're first to the market in bravely declaring for these positions.

And they never seem to mind that they've supported the positions of the far left for eighteen months to two years. That doesn't bother them. It's not "irresponsible" to embrace and amplify the claims of the far left for eighteen months to two years before actually getting around to vetting them.

But do send them your money. They're "Fighting For You." They're defending conservatism, conservatively.

An arrest has been made in the case of the 24-year-old LA woman killed for no reason in a furniture store. The killer turns out to be -- get this -- a deranged homeless man who had been previously set free after having been arrested.

He's not white so the media will not care about this story.

Los Angeles police on Wednesday arrested the man they say killed a 24-year-old woman while she worked alone in a furniture store.

The suspect, believed to be homeless, attacked Brianna Kupfer with a knife just before 2 p.m. Thursday, the Los Angeles Police Department said.

He fled through the store's back door and Kupfer's body was soon found on the floor by a customer, police said.

Police on Tuesday identified the suspect as 31-year-old Shawn Laval Smith and asked for the public's help in finding him.

On Wednesday, Smith was spotted by a citizen who recognized him from the news and responding officers found him at a bus bench in Pasadena, police said.

What that means in reality is giving massive amount of money to donors, such as a real estate developer to build an apartment complex for homeless people so they can squat for free. Developer makes millions or more. Kicks back to the politicians PAC and the problem only grows worse because now everyone knows homeless get free apartments in your city.

Reward the worst behavior and amazingly, you get more of it. But it's just a way to funnel money from your pocket to theirs.

Ehhhhhhh, I don't think it's nearly that easy. Yes, "homeless advocates" are usually hopelessly naive or grifters. Yes, it's a massive scam as presently constituted. However, it's a real problem that a small percentage of the population is incapable of taking care of themselves.

The chronically homeless are violent, self-destructive, crazy, and usually drug addicted.

I watched that Tucker segment. IIRC, LA and Seattle, I think, were spending millions of Coof stimulus money handed out by Uncle Sugar to buy high-rise apartment buildings to house the homeless.

The cost runs about $300K - 500K per homeless. This is far more per capita than is spend on education and other programs, like helping out actual productive small business and shit like that.

The ocean was unexpectedly hiding the heat, and once the ocean fills up with heat, boy we better watch out.

My HS kid picked Geology for her science this year, so I can speak volcano like never before thanks to the Great Courses...but when do kids have time to learn that in school or when has it even been encouraged in the last 40 years...I know my high school didn't cover geology - it was bio, chem, physics...probably so global warming could keep its racket going...

I just got a call from someone in my congregation, His wife who was our beloved pianist and treasurer died in June-I think as a result of a bad effects from a Covid shot, His brother (who lives in the Midwest) just went into hospice and died sooner than they thought . Now his nephew who was in his twenties and son of the man who died either committed suicide or died of an overdose so the mother is dealing with the loss of her husband and son within two weeks. One devastating blow after another! The dear fellow n our congregation is flying out to the Midwest tomorrow. They are the K family. 373 I find nothing wrong with the SCOTUS decision against arresting people just for sleeping in a park, or whatever. Freedom of movement is a basic civil liberty, and the dirty secret of "vagrancy" laws is that they were usually used to harass people that bothered the local power structures.

But people *don't* sleep out on the streets or the parks unless someone is giving them free food, and they come from miles around if someone is handing out free drugs. THAT is the huge mistake LA is making. The homeless will find a way to travel a thousand miles just to get in on the freebies that LA offers. THAT is the cause of the problem. I'm watching YT videos by a teacher in Washington state about geology in the cascades and its crazy - many volcanos, the Yellowstone hotspot blasting super volcanos every few million years as it moves in from the coast, the crust just splitting open and filling the area with about a mile thick slab of molten basalt, and the ice ages and massive superfloods from meltwater lakes.

Newest thing is they now can see the sea floor pushed under North America as it drives west into the Pacific, the slabs are still down there in the mantle after hundreds of millions of years.

488 I hope you all understand that PC all these years, no matter how fair it seems to be at times and different subjects, primed everyone for what they're doing now; accepting lies as truth and being willing to hurt people who won't acknowledge their "truth".

It's all a part of their plan and it's already in place and running and I don't believe anything can stop it. Not even the facts, not even the media reversing itself.

We're on the ride and will have to wait until the end to see how we do. Whether we puke or get puked on or get thru it damaged but basically in one piece. With some edges frayed.
