So, I saw an interesting story last night. Evidently last year someone in Canada reported that they had found a mass grave with hundreds of children's bodies on the grounds of a Catholic school that housed Indigenous/eskimo/inuit children in the 1900s. Evidently was a big deal (I did not hear about it at the time.) Tons of press coverage and of course, many churches were burned to the ground.

Twist: a year later, they have not found any bodies. They supposedly used ground penetrating radar. The school also had a still in use cemetery where priests, nuns, and yes, children were all buried alongside one another (usually after dying from tuberculosis or other common ailment.)

Morning Horde!

Honestly, the warped ones are outbuildings. You know, sheds and such. Part of the house is visible in the upper right. The view angle seems to be from behind the outbuildings looking towards a front corner of the property.

Outbuildings often don't have a decent foundation. I have a second garage that the cinderblock "foundation" sits on dirt at grade. Over the years, it has settled and I have a bent window frame like that one.

___________

There was a story linked on Insty about how that ground-penetrating sonar that had supposedly detected a "mass grave" of indigenous kids at some Canadian school was all a bunch of bullshit.

After the story about the "mass grave" came out weeks ago, there was the usual rending of garments in Canada and cries about awful white supremacy and colonialist evil and all the other bullshit.

Now that they've actually dug around in the ground where the supposed "mass grave" was located, they've found nothing. No bodies, no bones, no nothing. And according to a Canadian historian, there is no reason to believe there was ever a "mass grave" of native kiddies there, or anywhere else in Canada.

Also turns out that the person who made the initial "discovery" of the non-existent mass grave is something that calls itself a "conflict archaeologist." Sounds like woke bullshit. Some idiot with pre-conceived notions that Canada is a bad, evil, white-run place where non-whites were routinely tortured and murdered for sport, looking to find evidence to support its sick fantasies.

We've decided to hide a vast treasure. We dig down 90 to 100 ft using shovels and pickaxes. We stash the loot. Oh, we build an ingenious and elaborate system of flood tunnels to act as a booby trap using shovels and pickaxes. We create a manmade swamp using shovels and pickaxes. We sink our sailing ship in the swamp. Now we prepare for our return voyage...

...errr, Cap'n, are you sure you've thought this through.

I've been perusing leftist sites last night and this morning, and I'm a bit surprised. Of course they're still full of the usual hatred and viciousness, but there's something new and different there - a sense of depression and collapse. None of them have any rational ideas of going forward, at best it's just versions of "let's keep doing the exact same thing until it works!" But you can feel that a lot of them, in their hearts, are giving up. They're angry, but they're just sinking into depression, not doing anything useful.

Its a perfect demonstration as to how tone-deaf they are. People's view of celebrities right now is at the lowest ebb. So, let's appeal to the people through a celebrity! Someone who has been shielded from all of the COVID destruction wrecked upon the country. Someone for whom inflation matters not at all.

410 IIRC, Joe's brother, the OG bagman, owned a portion of an island right by Little St James island, a/k/a Epstein's Pedo island.
_____________

Yes, I recall reading something about that.

The Bidens are as crooked as they come. And this shit has been going on for 50 years. At one point, Hunter was raking in millions of dollars per month from his various "business" deals.

After that crook Yasser Arafat, head of the PLO died, he was found to have a net worth of over $1 billion, from all the graft he'd stolen and squirreled away in various investments over his decades of leading the "impoverished" Palestinian people.

When Biden finally croaks, he'll make Arafat look like a pauper. (Not that we'll ever hear about it though, his globalists masters will keep it under wraps).

Didn't the PLO sue his widow over at least some of his boodle? I think they agreed to split the graft.

420 Tom Hanks isn't that great a narrator, if you ask me. The segment he did for the Cleveland Guardians was 'meh'. If they wanted a lib who can narrate, they should have gone with Sam Elliott.
==
Sam Elliott, famous cowboy, culturally erasing the Indians, might have been a little too on the nose.

421 How in the hell do people who need blood thinners manage without insurance? Eliquis is $500.00 for a 30 day prescription. I guess they just have thick blood.

Post Covid I was on Eliquis for 6 months.

Post heart attack and stent, I am on Brilinta and baby aspirin for at least the next 2 years. About the same price as Eliquis without insurance. I had trouble with dyspnea at first and the Doc said if that kept up, he'd put me on Plavix instead, which seems to be 30 some odd $ a month without insurance, since it's now generic. The dyspnea (felt like my body forgot how to breath on auto pilot. only lasted a few minutes at a time and only a couple times a week for about 2 weeks) did clear up on its own.
