So roughly, if 50% of the populace has the clot shot you'd expect based on those numbers, for new cases/deaths to be about 50% of what they were before.

Have you tried taking a hike with a backpack and weight? I think it's called 'rucking'... this time of year I have to load up because the weather sucks so bad most days I have to beat myself up when the weather is decent.
I saw a bunch of cars with crossfit logo's recently when I was 'rucking'. I felt like taunting them. But then I realized they were bare chested and in shorts and probably just sprinted up the same side of the mountain I walked in 40 degree temps. Yeah, they were in good, very good shape.

It has been a few years (decades) since I graduated college but I recall being told by the alumni department that the percent of alumni donating was actually more important that the size of the donations. At the time the big bucks came in from organizations that donated based on the percent of alumni donating. Don't know if that is still true, or even if it was true back in the 70's, but that is what we were told.

the most I do is stop at the market on the way back and load up on soda and jugs of water for the trip home to do a farmers walk for the last mile.
i did take garrett's advice and go rock-wall climbing a few times. I should try that again. I didn't do it enough times to get any good at it, and also, i get a little wiggy when I'm more than fifteen feet off the ground.

I get nervous at 6' and find it impossible to stave off panic much above 10'. I did climbing walls and stuff as a teenager and that didn't bother me because I was anchored and tied on. I imagine that it would be similar with ladders. Being above ground in open air with no anchor is terrifying for me.

A neighbors daughter did the rock wall thing and fell 15 feet and shattered her ankle and needs surgery. Not sure I'd do that without a rope on me. There is some exact height were I go from brave to pussy and my hands get all fidgety and undependable. Probably at the 30 foot mark.

Another term to get familiar with is "monetary half-life". When inflation rates get really high, and are accelerating (a technical hyperinflation is a curve where the rate of inflation itself is increasing exponentially -- curve starts out slow, then turns into a vertical line basically), the inflation rate becomes some YUGE number that is meaningless.
Better to think of monetary half-life, the time it takes the currency to lose half its value. Post-war Hungary holds the record. Monetary half life of 15 hours.
Weimar is just #4 or so on the list of lowest half-lives.

Knowing how to sail is so great. When I was a kid they had these cheap sailboats you could buy if you smoked some brand of cigarettes. But I learned on these cheap ass imitations, and when the day came and there's a catamaran on the beach and you have the confidence to sail out into the Caribbean for hours... it's amazing. The knowledge 'scales up' so to speak.

Did repelling from a 100' tower in basic training. Three times the normal type of repelling and then twice using French repelling.
I was done with repelling after that.

They kept her away from the guns a lot because of some dumbass COVID protocol, so she can claim that she was prevented from doing her job properly. The fact that the assistant director was doing the gun handling shows already that proper protocol wasn't followed.

I have a Ph.D. in analytical chemistry. I am sure you would be astonished that that degree is slightly more difficult to achieve than a postgrad degree in poli-sci. If you want to make claims, post data to support those claims with attribution. That is how real scholars and scientist do it.

In fact, it is mathematically not possible to read the comments. They get posted at a rate of about 1 full sentence every 5 seconds, all day long; faster in peak periods. Nobody reads for comprehension that fast. If you tried you would never do anything else all day long.
