Feral hogs invade southeast Texas suburb. Residents report the intruders were "frightening" but also "delicious."

Inman: Probably some dispute at the weekly book club.

I prefer this guy's low-tech Porch Pirate deterrent system, consisting of cycled cerebral agitation units and pain actuators, over Mark Rober's tricksier but less effective version.

Brandon the Orator.

This just popped up: Brandon the Orator has tried and failed to say "exponentially" a full forty six times.

Forty six times he has said "expodentially, I guess because he thinks of it exploding.

As Not the Bee notes: Not a single times has anyone on his staff or a family member, such as noted doctor Doctor Jill Biden told him that the word he keeps saying is not, in fact, a word.

Or they did -- and he just kept on saying "expodentially" anyway.

He's not even slurring it. He often over-annunciates and splits it into separate syllables: Ex. Po. DEN. Tially.

Must be that "stammer" I keep hearing about.

Say that Trump was sure a dum-dum, huh?

Below: Look at this goat.

He's like the Jet Li of Goats.

He looks like he's been spending fifteen years in the Himalayas in isolation, learning kung-fu after the murder of his sifu.

I'd guess it's because whatever they're using as fertilizer kills any of the grubs, and they're not doing that on the rough. We have occasional feral pig problems being right on the edge of an open space district. It looks like a drunk with a rototiller went over the lawn to try to dig a pool. I've felt sorry for a few families. There's warning signs at the park not to feed them - and yes, they need the signs - you can see where they've spent some evenings pretty easily.

They're just copying us in CA. I Berkeley, and I believe SF have done that. You also have to be super careful if you do a renovation, because if it's too much the grandfather clause is gone. Fucking leftists can't decide from one decade to the next what's good and what's not. It's impossible for a restaurant to be able to do anything with a freaking electric range. The best part is, they're probably going to force those who are capable to use wood stoves. Propane is nearly impossible because of size and access for a lot of city fronts.

As I mentioned when I took my SoCal trip in Oct - I took a picture at a gas station of their "clean" alternative NG pumps. Wooho! NG was so awesome that the state insisted X amount of vehicles ran on it. So when are these stupid fucks suddenly going to ban electric cars? I'm tired of being lorded over by retards.

253 Two common traps used for hogs. The corral trap with a saloon gate door that springs shut, rough 12 foot diameter and 5 foot high. Some hogs can jump out but deer definitely can if caught. No top. There is a low trap door cage setup closed top as well - 2 foot high so no deer problem and you can catch raccoons. You can use leg traps but not recommended as the deer get caught in them and it doesn't end well. Same with poison, some people eat them so not advised. I get 70% from traps, the rest from hunting - but they are mostly straight nocturnals so unless you like 2-4 am, not optimum as well as needing night optics, etc.

I think there is still time for the NYC Mayor to order the city residents to heat snow with magnifying classes in the winter for their water and make them wear only plant-based clothing like fig leaves, all while singing "We are the Grateful Children of our Dear Leader!" as they march to work in the solar panel factories on 5th avenue...

When people say they are "gifting" something to someone, as opposed to aeons old grammar forms that utilize the verb "to give", as in "I am giving my dog a crate of toys for Christmas because he's a good boy." The get-off-my-lawn types seem to prefer saying, "I am gifting my dog a crate of toys." It is a colloquialism that sounds weird to me.

I suspect the giant ground sloths were very formidable. They have claws like the anteaters and I suspect they were dangerous when pissed off.
There is a Urugauyan paleontologist who thinks that the giant sloths may have been either predators of a sort, or omnivores, but he bases this on how many calories a big critter like that would need to be running around.

I would like to see some isotope tests on bones and teeth to support that supposition, because they may have been low metabolism like the present day sloths.
I could see Glyptodonts, on the other hand, as a big time scavenger like armadillos.

Nope - because there's a huge, intentional hole in the law. No one intentionally targeted those communications, certainly not the Congress critters. (they just found out about it later) and nothing bars them from disclosing what they find out while they're on the job, except Nancy Pelosi's "rules" committee.

So they can do whatever they want, no consequences.

446 You know, I'd happily dust off my car in the parking lot to return to that type of pride and optimism for the future.

TP,

Do you remember the lawsuits over Republic and J&L's soot causing the paint on car at dealerships downwind to peal?

I remember Reliable Olds as actually winning their suit.

Oh hell yeah! My section was right next to the accountants' (at Y, S & T). They'd just say - "Part of the cost of doing business."

That would be acquired immunity. Natural immunity would be that which protects one from the word go - and you never catch it.

Had one in in Jan. a few years ago. I didn't know. Thought I broke my back falling on the stairs getting the paper. We don't get them here. What a bitch.

Yes and no...if Meadows actually does go to trial over contempt, these texts may be excluded as evidence if the trial judge rules that they were made public to prejudice a jury (which they were), or, if he rules their public display permissible, then he leaves open for Meadows the right to make public discovery obtained from the J6 committee - something I highly doubt either the Dems would want or would be beneficial to them.

Clearly, Trump is evil even if he presided over the biggest economic boom in recent history.
You see, His tweets were MEAN and we should all make him a 'King Maker'. Like for our friend King from New York!

Let's all forget that Every Single Policy he enacted made better than even Reagan. How DARE he?

We need to forget all that and be More MODERATE. You know like the Democrats UK do.

He'll make a good "kingmaker". How DARE we let him actually make policy and defend him?

That's a loyalty only reserved for Democrats, even if they were Separationists and out-and-out Racists like the Grand Dragon of the KKK Byrd whom Biden honored alongside Stretch-losi
