Investigators say that McRoberts Williams, 44, approached a teller Saturday morning at a crowded Wells Fargo in Wilmington and handed her a note reading “This is a robbery, I need $150.” After the 25-year-old bank employee provided Williams with cash, he fled the bank. But instead of racing from the crime scene like your average bank robber, Williams exited the Wells Fargo and “made a deposit in the atm on the exterior of the building,” the Delaware State Police report. The Wells Fargo branch (and its yellow-framed ATM machines) are pictured above. Following the ill-advised pit stop, Williams (seen at right) fled on foot to a nearby shopping center where he was taken into custody by state troopers.

Not necessarily. There's a tendency to over build composite structure replacements for steel. You often put enough material on that it ends up being heavier. The less skill and planning the worse it gets. In aerospace "black aluminum" is often as good as you can hope for.

AFAIK, there is no panic-pricing for optics. That said, quality glass has always been pricey. The rule of thumb has always been to expect to spend roughly as much for the scope and mount as you did for the rifle. Personally, I just can't do that. Check samplelist.com for discounted shop demos, refurbs, etc. Selection is very limited but they might have what you need.

The bike in the pic up top is not actually plywood. Looks to me like it's made of softwood lumber, joined by bolted-on fish plates and corner braces made of steel. The DeHavilland Mosquito was made of pressure-molded plywood, and it was very strong indeed. You probably could make a motorcycle frame that way, but it would look more like the pressed steel frame of a Honda 50 step-through.

they have some reasonably priced (around$1300) stuff with japanese glass and a good warranty
it is not the greatest, but if you are getting to and or trying thing out they are good enough.

It is a white Chilean brandy and one of my faves. I like it neat, and it is very drinkable that way. It just looks like vodka.
A lot of brandy has a nearly acetone 'zip' to it that is not great, fruit brandies are worse for that. Capel doesn't have that flavor

Here's the routine: the airline overbooks flights, people are denied boarding or are taken off the plane because the airline overbooked, the customers complain because they bought a ticket, the employees threaten to call security.

But at some point that got junked as it became a standard union job.

Flight attendants' real job is evacuation and other safety procedures for the plane, the service stuff is just extra and that's why it varies so much.
We recently went over this one, I think. Emirates for the int'l smorgasbord, several east Asian airlines for the feasts from one cuisine (speaking of female flight attendants). Kind of a many-way tie, but nothing surpassed the Vietnam Air flight from TPHCM (Saigon) to Hanoi - they wore ao dais, and sort of floated down the aisle, and were spectacular.

The FAA doesn't permit a private airplane Uber-like business, unlike Europe and everywhere else on the planet allows.
There are all kinds of businesses that could do an air-uber with their private aircraft if they could get the FAA and the insurance companies to green light it.
But that would reduce the government levers of power and control, and permit hoi polloi to enter into the stratified air of the elites by flying with them.
I can see Jethro boarding a G550 wearing his Italian dinner shirt, cargo britches and flip flops alongside the spoiled brat trust-fundies.

The flight attendant scoured the economy section and found an attractive young woman to bring up to our section - seating each one next to the few young guys in the group. Very attractive ginger, nurse from Edmonton, is placed next to me. A few letters followed (I think if it had been the email/cheap travel era, history might have changed). And it gets still better.
For landing, I went up and sat in the jump seat on the flight deck. Crew said a few days before, Gretzky had sat there. They said he preferred it for landing, when possible.

Their ceremony/reception is set to take place at a remote rural venue that I've worked a few times, so I map out enough time to get there 30 minutes early so that everything is relaxed and chill.
I stop by the office to pick up some gear for the job and every jack-dick in Knoxville is milling about Christmas shopping. Add to it the torrential rains, and it shaved off 15 minutes off of my early arrival, so the shit logs are starting to bind, there may be some stress involved.

So as I'm leaving the office, I figure I oughta check Wayz to see if there might be a better route than the one I would usually take. F*ck yeah, save ten minutes using this back way, and now I'm back on track.
So I'm taking this alternate route when whammo, ETA shifts back 15 minutes. Some yayhoo has had a wreck on the alternate route and I'm on some frigging back road, nothing to do but ride it out.
Still, ETA puts me at the job site 9 minutes early, so I'm good. Lead footing it, I manage to gain 2 minutes in the ETA and now I'm golden. I go to spark up a cigarette and notice it's my last one. Shit got to stop for more smokes and Oh hell! I notice the gas gauge is now damn near pushing E.
Fair enough, 11 spare minutes, I'll swoop in to a gas station, buy some smokes, $10 in gas and get their right on time. Then I notice it. Eureka! When I was buzzed last night coming home from a job, I had the foresight to purchase an extra pack of smokes! Winning!

So now I'm like "F*ck it, I can risk it in gas and arrive 10 minutes early and have a little extra set up time." I mean I don't want the couple stressing, so screw it, based on my calculations on the distance you can travel with the needle under 'E', it'll be close, but I should be alright.
Party was good, I had no idea Jehovah's Witnesses liked to party. A lot of hotties, too. I was like "Shit, send some of those chicks door to door and I'd probably sign up." But I still had some minor stress over the gas sitch, so I enlisted the knowledge of one of the local Cletuses on getting to a gas pump at the conclusion of the party.
He informed me that the closest gas station was an alternate route, and assured me the gas stations were open late. Fatal flaw, I listened to a man that was drinking Fireball directly from a 750 ml bottle. That flaw was only exacerbated when I began taking swigs with him.

Sure enough, gas stations are closed, so now I'm in the boonies, truck gas needle well below E. So I have to make it 18 more miles, hypermiling it to the next exit. Thankfully, I made it.
But it made me wonder. What if we lived in a Mad Max scenario, no readily available gas. And then that made me think, and why the f*ck do liberals want to make it that way? Why make travel such a bitch? Why make our world a more difficult place than it has to be?

I disagree. They are just doing it more slowly here. Anyone in April of 2020 who would have predicted the government would mandate vaccines -- even for children -- and people in every industry, every corporation, every medical field and even the military would be losing their employment for not getting vaxxed would have been called crazy.

My greatest fear is that they know damn well what they're doing and hope for some sort of Tim McV___ type to take matters into his own hands, which would be such an insult to the wine and soccer moms that the leftists could then retain power.
Barring that sort of an outrageous event they're gonna see the door shoved in their face come November. But there are still a lot of months between now and then and a lot of opportunity to turn the heat up even higher.

And I think you mistake my premise. We take a large amount, because, ultimately, there is the potential for relief. In the meantime, we homeschool. We don't play mask games. We've put off air travel and vacations that would require air travel. We are purebloods and will remain that way. If my employer attempted to mandate a vaccine for telework, then I would strike out on my own. The point was that we can take a lot, before the 2A relief valve set pressure is hit. But once it does . . . .

When have we ever had to protect people who've been vaccinated from people who haven't? The way it's supposed to work, the vaccine protects you, and people who aren't vaccinated are taking their chances with their own health.
I'm especially annoyed because I now work from home full-time, but they still expect me to get vaccinated. So, apparently, by being unvaccinated, I'm somehow a threat to people who have been vaccinated and won't even come into contact with me, anyway.
I applied for a religious exemption. I'm not sure what I'll do if they turn my request.

I was just reading one of the latest posts by Denninger. It's about Central Freight Lines (CFL), a Waco-based trucking outfit. They just announced they are shutting down. This will not be a Ch. 11. They are shutting down, Ch 7. Can pay their debt, can't pay their bills going forward, thus no longer a "going concern".
They made a deal with the devil -- Bezos and Amazon, to start carrying their shit, borrowing a bunch of money top upsize and all that sort of thing. Amazon then ratfucked them. A jury found Amazon guilty of ratfucking CFL, but a federal appeals court threw out the verdict.
Anyway, Denninger's point about that is leverage. In the current zero interest regime, the end of long-term secular period of low interest rates, there is too much leverage. If interest rates tick up, then these over-levered outfits are fucked. Their business models do not support the cash flow for the debt service in "normalized interest" conditions.
And Houston, that's a problem.

Thanks for the advice! I did make sure to focus purely on religious concerns in my request. Namely, that the vaccine mandate resembles the Mark of the Beast.
I'm not sure if that's enough on its own. I have some other theological points to throw at it, but I felt that that was the best use of the limited space on the request. I saw on the form that there will be a follow-up interview with my supervisor, and I'll bring up those other points with him then if I need to.

My research on Sinovac says it does nothing in regards to stopping you from getting COVID. Presumably Covaxin won't either - actual vaccines likely can never stop coronaviruses.

From what I've seen, the employer does have some room to deny a religious exemption. It is legally difficult, but still possible. For example, if they don't think you're being completely honest about your religious beliefs.

I understand, and I do feel sympathy for those people. But those cards have already been dealt, that bridge has already been crossed. I know it's harsh to say it bluntly, because it sounds so cold, but this is a war, and there are going to be a lot of casualties on our side, especially among the vulnerable. Everyone in such a position has to make their own personal choice as to whether or not they have the strength to stand on their own for an undetermined amount of time. I've gotten in a few discussions with clot shot proponents that boil down to "yes the shots lower transmission there are just too many other things going for you to see that!" and I always refer them to the nominal "COVID cases" since the shots because available, and in every single country they have to effect, and then ask the person, did you honestly believe COVID would look like this after 50,60, 80, whatever % of people got the shot.
And while the answer is always "no" most of them can't bring themselves to say that.

I think I'll be fine, whatever happens, here. If they deny my request for a religious exemption and I lose my job on January 4th... my condo is cheaper than any place I could rent. I'm liking my chances of getting a new job where I make enough to keep my place.
And if I can't get a new job, quickly, where I make enough to cover my mortgage... worst case scenario, the real estate market around here is so crazy, I could sell my place and walk away with a hundred grand in my pocket.
