Some Evening Humor: Are The Ornithologists OK?

I don’t know anything about this guy, Stu Royall, or his politics, nor do I care, this simply gave me a good laugh.

I actually have a cocktail to offer. And it actually doesn't have bourbon!

Sweet Tart (tastes like the candy)
1 part Raspberry liqueur (pucker Raspberry schnapps works well)
1 part melon liqueur
1 part triple sec
Pour all of those into a pint sized glass filled with ice. Add OJ to fill. Stir.

Sometimes I add a little cranberry juice and/or club soda. Whatever works for you!

Yep, they are all just variations of raptors. My mother was traumatized by a shrike as a little girl. Guess she wandered into its little Vlad the Impaler recreation, and there were some still alive baby birds skewered and chirping. But mostly skewered.

We have a variety of owls, falcons and hawks here, I'm amazed at how small some of the falcons are. They look like a regular bird until they dive and grab something. I'm big into photographing birds and birds in flight, yet never have once caught one of them hanging out in my own backyard. I root for them though - they're more interested in the mice and squirrels - as well as the roosting pigeons which are a huge problem.

You could always ask your 'friends' if they're not concerned about 'Vaccine-Associated Enhanced Disease' (VAED) and watch their eyes light up with concern. Yeah, it's a thing and it might become a bigger thing as time goes on. The Nuremberg Tribunal needs to begin renting space.

Here's a thing: Previous animal trials of experimental vaccines against SARS-CoV-1 and MERS-CoV have also been shown to induce a more serious disease when subsequently exposed to the virus.

193 So now that the Left is officially done with women and femininity Hollywood has found it's next "thing". And since all the movies are suddenly hitting now, you know it's been planned for 3-5 years because that's how movies happen.

And what's the thing? *Androgynous blobs of shit*. The new heroes for kids. Genderless beings, to be worshiped, adored and aspired to. Disney has an androgynous blob movie coming and Pixar now has a movie about a young normal seeming girl who one morning turns into a giant "Red Panda". Androgynous because "pandas" all look the fucking same.

I'm guessing the Panda one is more subversive but I imagine the text of the movie will make its meaning ultra clear. Of course the damaging subversion will be couched in a "message" that can't or shouldn't be reasonably argued with.

In the trailer they show her friends rallying round her to explain they "love" and "accept" her even though she says she is now a "freak". Get it????????

I always recommend this movie to people. I'd say it's a light comedy, not over-the-top, as you might expect with Steve Martin, Owen Wilson, and Jack Black as the leads (though there is one scene the Steve Martin seemingly can't resist going a bit overboard). It's strangely subdued, and much more about people discovering what's important in their lives.

276 I think the website Stuff White People Like had a post on bird watching. That place was so fucking funny. It could not exist today. Well it still exists but you know what I mean.

I think Joe Biden* is gonna make 'merica so afraid of an 80 year old President that Trump will have an incredibly tough time. They're gonna let Joe drool all over per-pubescent girls as long as it takes to instill that vision in the wine moms.

I know, terrible thing to say, but it's the truth. The left is nastier then anyone can ever imagine.

283 Great Tit -- must be Australian for 'get in the truck'
(see yesterday's funny jokes: "I love you" in different languages)

284 Went online and found:
Great Tit -- must be Australian for 'get in the truck' ... wait ... that was 'I love you' ...
Bushtit -- must be the National Geographic one
Horned Screamer -- someone's wife?
Common Shag (aka Phalacrocorax aristotelis) -- heck she'll do anybody
Moustached Flowerpiercer -- Soviet woman Olympic weightlifter?
Hoary Puffleg -- https://twitter.com/i/status/1461547053847298053
Bananaquit and Orangequit-- addicted to fruit?
Hottentot Buttonquail -- I thought that was an African group like Zulu, Xhosa, Bushmen
Cutthroat -- Harrr! and a bottle of rum
Exclamatory Paradise-Whydah -- imagine that

Posted by: Ciampino at November 24, 2021 09:19 AM (qfLjt)

285 and a few more:
Whip-poor-will -- torturing William?
Chuck-will's-widow -- Poor Will must have died from all the whipping
Bristle-thighed Curlew -- East German woman curling Olympian?
See-See Partridge -- yes, yes I see it
Kittiwake -- the cat is about
Fluffy-backed Tit-babbler -- gossipy woman
Lappet-faced Vulture -- specially ugly vulture

286 34 Buffspangled cornholer

Can we use that name for all our DC politicians?

Posted by: Ciampino at November 24, 2021 09:30 AM (qfLjt)

287 33 Nightjars are kind of sinister looking and sounding, I can understand that name to be honest.

Then how sinister is a Satanic nightjar?

Also Penduline Tits -- I believe common amongst older folk.
