Agenda-Driven Media Blames Brexit For Britain’s Covid And Supply Chain Woes

Without rehashing all the awful decisions made by global “leaders” to get us into the awful economic mess we’re in, there is one constant – the media will always blame the mess on their favorite villains and political hobby horses.

In the United States, the media blames any malady created by our inept ruling class on racism, or anti-maskers, or Christians, or guns, or climate change, etc.

In the UK, Brexit is the all-purpose villain. The media and its ruling class allies will never forgive British voters for choosing national sovereignty over subordination and subjugation to unelected European bureaucrats.

Gas crisis, labor shortages and supply chain chaos: Post-Brexit Britain faces a difficult winter [CNBC – 10/18/2021]

Impact of Brexit on economy 'worse than Covid' [BBC – 10/27/2021]

Supply chain problems have been caused by factors including the Covid-19 pandemic and Brexit. [Simply Business UK – 11/02/2021]

Will Supply-Chain Issues Ruin Christmas? Shortages resulting from the pandemic and Brexit are already causing runs on gifts, turkeys, and puddings. [The New Yorker – 11/02/2021]

It’s almost comical, and it is certainly self-parodying. Journalism has become a joke, and journalists deserve to be laughed at for their comedic efforts to do left-wing political advocacy cloaked as impartial reporting.

Wherever the word “Brexit” appears in those headlines, American journalists might simply change it out for the words “Climate Change.” Or “DeSantis.”

No, Brexit isn’t to blame for the idiotic decision to shut down the economy, and lock down the citizenry, and outsource so much economic activity to China. Brexit is the result of proud, freedom-loving people who are trying to wrest control back from the fools who make those kinds of awful decisions.

At the same time, CA gives insane exemptions to trucks coming from south of the border. This entire mess can be attributed to one major factor, JIT (just in time delivery). Once the World started shutting stuff down the entire system was going to come crashing down because every step of the inventory system was operating on JIT inventory levels which are typically three days worth of inventory and once one part of the supply system shut down it cascaded throughout the system and it is only going to get worse. Stock up on non perishable essentials if you can.

I read that piece by the union trucker. And it struck me that there were some glaring holes in what he wrote. For instance, he talked about how problems at the warehouses were contributing to the mess, but left them completely out of his solutions. And he seems to think that it's impossible to avoid losing money as an owner-operator.

The truck thing was introduced around the same time as AB-60 (free voting driver's license for illegals) under Moonbeam to promote "road safety" or some such drivel. I remember a lot of the industry went bonkers, because now companies could hire drivers/trucks for pennies on the dollar if shipping to/from Mexico etc.
