Lego Tactical Assault Squad Cafe: Sometimes Biology Is Horrifying (But Then Cute Again) Edition

Saving an emaciated, abandoned pit bull with the healing power of stuffed animals.

Animal hospital personnel treat wounded goose. The goose's mate shows up to demand her man back.

Stray puppy found near highway gets adopted from the shelter quickly, because she's a big smiler.

Two pitties who have been inseperable friends in the shelter finally get adopted, together.

Very sweet story about Bubby, the three-legged stray cat who refused to become domesticated, but who did enjoy spending time with an old man.

This little dog just saw dressage on the Olympics and he wants to compete.

This one from Steve Inman isn't funny, it's just brutal. A guy spits on oranges at a vendor's, and the owner (?) absolutely demolishes him with a clubbing hand from behind.

Little antifa paramilitary Joker getting bullied.

24 I could support Biden's 100-day mask plan under four conditions:

1) Every day we're masked up means that two Democrats are tossed out of the House of Representatives never to be allowed back again;

2) Every other day, a Democrat senator is tossed out of the Senate never to be allowed back again.

3) Every day, four Clinton/Obama/Biden turds who are currently seated on the courts are tossed out never to be allowed back on the bench again and this starts with the US Supreme Court, then goes to the appellate courts, and finishes with the district courts.

4) The mask mandate ends on the 100th day, with no exceptions.

I played in a D-and-D group of HS buds for several years. One of the group was a music maven and would spend time putting together a 'soundtrack' culled from various movie scores as we played. I took notes as we played and every week would read them back as part of a continuing novel (I wish I knew what happened to them).

But then girlfriends came into the picture and that was that. And that and marriage broke up the whole group, both gaming and socially.

102 "I do miss those days sometimes."

Yah we had a group that went for 4 years. Rotating 3 DMs so no one got burned out. Best part was that all 3 of us preferred to play mages, so in between DMs (if the rest of the party wiped, which they always did LOL) we always let 2-3 years game time pass so we could research the custom spells we had designed. It was a Golden Age.

They're thinking about, or actually are going to move away from dealer lots with many cars to choose from and go to a system where you either order what you want online, or go to a dealer to order the vehicle you want. It would (I presume) be either delivered to your house, or the dealer, depending one whether or not there are those "dealer installed options" like undercoating, floor mats, etc.

During the COVID pandemic porn of 2020 I discovered this was actually how some dealers stayed in business. It was make-shift at the time and more or less informal, but even some of the paperwork was done via email or securedoc type transactions.

There is no way on earth that you are going to be able to get the adaptive cruise control radar module for a Toyota Tacoma or the LED Display Gauge cluster for Jeep Grand Cherokee in 20 years if you need one.

I'd say the sweet spot for cars and trucks is 1995 to 2010, anything after that is sketchy.

In some cases its because of the ABS system. Even a newer harley is plagued by this. You need the computer to go in and shut off "branches" of the brake system to bleed it, or else you'll never get the air out of the lines. I get these dudes coming into the shop looking to change handlebars to something bigger/taller, and I tell them well that means longer brake lines and I have to hook up the laptop to do it, and between the parts, like bars, cables, brake lines, extending handlebar wiring harnesses, and bleeding the system they're at least $8-900 in. The look on their face is usually priceless.

The Federal Trade Commission today unanimously voted to ramp up law enforcement against repair restrictions that prevent small businesses, workers, consumers, and even government entities from fixing their own products. The policy statement adopted today is aimed at manufacturers practices that make it extremely difficult for purchasers to repair their products or shop around for other service providers to do it for them.

384 Don't let pre-leaded gasoline engines worry you, for the most part valve recession is only a problem with extended high speed high RPM or towing. It isn't usually a factor. It can happen but it's taken on a mythology I think.

And anything after about 1987 starts to get lots of electronics. The big problem I see is after about 20 years or so, electrolytic capacitors on the circuit boards and putsrs start to fail, similar to the desktop computer mother board failures. And car electronics are full of 'em.

Then others claim, that the (freon) cleaning agent used to make a clean surface for heat shield tiles to bond securely was banned, and that's when they really started losing tiles. None of this would surprise me if true.

440 I've got a friend with a mid 2000s Mustang and he can't fill up the tank more than halfway because of some stupid emissions control in the filler neck. For some reason most gas pumps don't trip it right somehow. It's apparently a common problem.

The solution? Hold the pump upside down. You know. So the auto shutoff no longer works and it spits quite a bit of fuel out on the ground every time you fill up.

479 Doocy Challenges Biden About 'Untested And Unvaccinated' Migrants Crossing The Border

"You just said 'there is no wall high enough and no ocean wide enough to protect us from the virus,'" Doocy began. "So what is the thinking behind letting untested and unvaccinated migrants cross the southern border into U.S. cities in record numbers?"

Biden said that he is maintaining his order to send unvaccinated people back across the border, but it is more humane to keep unaccompanied children here.

"We have not withdrawn the order that is sometimes criticized saying that unvaccinated people should go back across the border," the president said. "But unaccompanied children is a different story. Because the most humane thing to do is to test them and to treat them and not send them back alone."

510 If the Gundam series says UC, Universal Century, that is the primary timeline. The M61A5 exists in the UC. Series like Iron Blooded Orphans and Wings are alternate time lines.

Short short version of the UC? The L3 colonies or Side around the Moon declare themselves the Zeon Archduchy and independent of the Earth Federation in UC79. In less than a year more than 50% of the humans in space and on Earth are killed. Zeon forces use poison gas to kill other Sides. Operation British is an attempt to kill the Earth Federation HQ at Jaburo by dropping a colony on Earth. The colony instead crashes at Sydney wiping out most of Australia and altering Earth's climate. Then Zeon forces occupy portions of the Earth. Finally Christmas time UC80 both sides cease hostilities.
