EMT 5/15/21

So I'm sitting here waiting for Microsoft to join a conference call and explain how when they messed up 911 calling for a whole state government it's somehow my fault.

Spoiler alert, yes pretty much every content-free EMT gets drafted the night before.

I've personally demonstrated that MS is out of RFC spec 3 times in the last 12 months. Every time their response is essentially, "we're Microsoft, fix our deficiencies on your side."

I'm not going to tell you anyone is better.

I'm just saying Microsoft might be the stankiest of the bunch of dicks trying to profit off the work from home imperative Fauci foisted upon the world.

5 Good Morning Morons today is Saturday, May 15, 2021. On this day in 1974 members of the Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine attacked and took hostages at an Israeli school; a total of 31 people were killed, including 22 schoolchildren. So AOC and all the rest of those Democrat worshipers of terrorists can eat my grungy shorts.

you might want to double check that info. VA is a hell hole now and the Repubs that think they can win are likely deluded. But I doubt those prices are standard in VA. Someone might have been trying to game the system, but that is not the price. It is more like $3.00, which was way more than under Trump.

I have been squaking for well over a year about rising prices. Biden is creating inflation like you would never believe. I recall when i saw a small Watermelon for $5, that is when i said "hmm". I also put all my investments as a play against inflation. I would not recommend it but I never give investment reccos regardless. Either way, the 7 bills story is not statewide. I almost with it was so the Dems could be crushed. The reality is they own the state, even if it is close, they will steal it. I laugh when people say talking about election stealing is the third rail. Shit, they have spend the last four years focusing exclusively on making elections a freaking joke. Forget the stealing, they are doing it in plain sight.

What is kind f fascinating to me: the only reason she has notoriety or anyone listens to her in the first place is twofold: 1) Her Dad. 2) She is a NeverTrump.

So many mediocrities who 20 years ago we would be saying 'Who?' 20 years ago, we would know who VDH is 'He's that guy who I always like because his writing style, while dry, is filled with historical references and feels solid.'

Ironically, 20 years ago we knew who Jonah was, but that is only because he was vaguely funny around 20 years ago. His 'wit' got stale very, very quickly.

These days, how many writers can you think of that you read because you like the way they write? Not just what they say, but how they say it. ace, of course, or we would not all be here. Any others?

69 Very, very few people truly understand the energy density contained in a gallon of gasoline. Nothing else even comes close. Without it, life becomes extremely expensive very fast.

That's why "fossil fuels" are under the gun and slated for elimination. Coal and oil make a middle class lifestyle possible.

Consider the amount of work it can do. For just one example, load your car with 1,000 pounds of stuff. Figure 25 mpg.

Would you push your car and 1,000 pounds 25 miles for $3 bucks?

Whenever we came across poor design or a bug, the response usually boiled down to "it's configurable and you didn't properly configure it." Never in so few words, of course, because consultants love jargon and making sure they're maximizing billable hours (we'd get this answer after providing written questions in advance and a scheduled, timed sit-down with the SME/consultant and his/her boss, per the specifics of our contract blah blah blah).

TLDR: Krak, the issue with your call is "it's configurable!"

Their behavior now is maybe even more damning proof of the massive fraud than even the actual physical evidence like the deleted databases, the broken seals on voting machines, etc. etc. This would be trivially easy to point to and say "See, that idiot Trump was wrong on this, too!"

Instead they're fighting tooth and nail for some mysterious reason.

It was a color revolution.
If you recall, there was that detailed paper published before the election (some DC insider coalition for 'election integrity' by the ones running the op) that gamed out 4 possible election result scenarios. Three of the scenarios had Biden winning, last scenario Trump wins by tiny, questionable margin. All of the scenarios depicted Trump as threatening 'our democracy' by challenging the results.

They didn't just steal the vote, they gamed out all the ways they would quash challenges to the Biden win after the election. One can only imagine how many in the GOP were in on this plan, playing their predetermined roles as Trump attempted to get their assistance.

The media is the schwerpunkt. They are the town criers and enablers of our doom.

But if they win, then they are unneeded. The casualty rate of pre-1917 Pravda editors and reporters in the new USSR was quite substantial. Very few died in their own bed. They were tortured before "confessing" and dying with a bullet in the back of the head.

Something that would make me smile, if I was still around.

350 I do the grocery shopping each week at ShopRite in town and have seen prices on some items creep up while others slide down a bit. ShopRite has huge buying power and many items are on sale each week. Stop and Shop, also in town (actually three stores!) doesn't have the clout, so their prices are usually higher than ShopRite's for the same items.

Haha you haven't seen Cisco operate. I always enjoyed getting on conference calls with Cisco and MS and listening to the finger pointing and blame game.

My contact center colleague was on a high priority call once (we all worked at Cisco, btw) with MS - their call center was down for almost 24 hours, clock was ticking. Come to find out two contractors at MS had left ports open on the firewall, allowing some bad stuff to happen. They didn't have jobs at the end of the call...

385 Microsoft has never cared. Once they stole enough ideas, intentionally broke functionality in third party software until they could steal those ideas too, and eventually through as many shady practices as you could name, captured enough of the business market, they've more or less been content to rest on their asses. Why shouldn't they?

Businesses blindly hand over shit-tons of cash to MSFT for garbage products, despite their routine abusive behavior like you describe. "We're a MSFT shop" they'll say, when making everyone in the company go from Slack to the inferior trash "Teams".

When it comes to 3rd parties and standards they don't control, "Extend, embrace, extinguish" is Microsoft's internal motto.
