The Ratings for Brian Stelter's Show -- "Eye of the Potato" -- Increase.
Bad News: The Ratings Increase When Tater Is on Vacation and Has a Fill-In Host.

Well that's sad.

CNN's struggling media program "Reliable Sources" with Brian Stelter hit another low on Sunday with its smallest audience of 2021 as the liberal program has now failed to crack the one-million viewer plateau for five consecutive weeks.

Stelter's program averaged only 810,000 total viewers and a dismal 163,000 among the key demographic of adults age 25-54 on May 2, for its worst performance of the year in both categories.

To make matters worse for Stelter, his own show performed better last week when replacement host John Avlon filled in. The Avlon-hosted edition of "Reliable Sources" on April 25 averaged 907,000 for nearly a 100,000-viewer increase over Stelter's return.

...

Stelter, who tweeted from his vacation spot to promote the previous edition of "Reliable Sources," has struggled to attract an audience since former President Trump left office. The far-left pundit spent years criticizing Trump’s every step, typically refraining from criticizing liberals and devoting ample time to bashing conservative media. The strategy doesn't appear to be working as "Reliable Sources" has now been under one million viewers for seven of the past eight weeks.

214 Zerohedge has this great piece, "Bulletin Of Atomic Scientists Opens The Wuhan Virus Pandora's Box" that is sure to get you suspended on Facebook if you were to post it.

One brief section ...
4. The US role in funding the Wuhan Institute of Virology. From June 2014 to May 2019, Daszak's EcoHealth Alliance had a grant from the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID), part of the National Institutes of Health, to do gain-of-function research with coronaviruses at the Wuhan Institute of Virology. Whether or not SARS2 is the product of that research, it seems a questionable policy to farm out high-risk research to unsafe foreign labs using minimal safety precautions. And if the SARS2 virus did indeed escape from the Wuhan institute, then the NIH will find itself in the terrible position of having funded a disastrous experiment that led to death of more than 3 million worldwide, including more than half a million of its own citizens.

The bottom line: there are enough folks who probably contributed to this pandemic disaster who have been doing their level best at CYA.

278 Ugh. I have an old MS Surface that I use as an appliance. I did some stupid things regarding removal of some mandatory Microsoft patches that I needed back in order to get a new piece of functionality I want. I got fed up with trying to fix it.

So I says to myself "I don't have any valuable data on this. I'll do a factory reset, then do the major update that gives me the feature I need, and reinstall the one application I really use on it."

That was 8 hours ago. It doesn't need babysitting (thankfully), but installing Windows 95 *and* Office 97 on my 486 was faster than this. And that was all packaged on like fifty floppy disks. I know the scales are totally different, but it feels like a great stumble backwards on how much time shit like this takes.

Alberta Premier Jason Kenney told a closed-door UCP caucus meeting on Sunday "I want a new base" as he slammed the rogue anti-lockdown rodeo in Bowden, the Western Standard has learned
Kenney used the Sunday virtual caucus meeting to rail against the 'No More Lockdowns Rodeo', which attracted approximately 4,000-5,000 attendees over the weekend.
Three UCP MLAs, who spoke to the Western Standard on the condition of anonymity, said another MLA spoke up and reminded Kenney that the people who went to the rodeo werethe "base" of the UCP's support.
"If they are our base, I want a new base," Kenney told the meeting, according to the three MLAs.

Yeah, that could be bad. The beam in general typically includes moves where having a 'package' would make it painful. The old paralel bars was the same way, but now it's mostly swinging around w/hands on the bars vs. hip/pelvis contact.

372 More seriously, I think women will continue to excel where their smaller frames are an advantage, such as figure skating an women's gymnastics (big dude on a balance beam might get interesting?). Or. . . those sports will become more masculine, with muscular/powerful jumps and tricks becoming the norm* over grace.

*Already started with women's gymnastics when the paralel bars became more like men's single bar (giants over hip contact/spins around the lower bar).
