There is absolutely no reason that Congress cannot pass laws requiring that monopolies act with similar fairness to all sides in political matters, to keep an immunity to lawsuit (section 230) that they are by no means entitled to.

But the corrupt Corporate Party will not even entertain such a notion, because they're being paid to protect the monopolies' monopolies.

While FaceBook's Supreme Court decides who is allowed to run for public office, the media and leftwing advocates begin the next campaign:

It was said at the time - the proper response to an over-reaching judiciary is not to ask for relief from the judiciary. It was the perfect opportunity for Trump to rebuke that federal judge by simply ignoring him. I honestly suspected Trump might have set it up to do just that. Might have even broke the GOP blockade of Trumps agenda.

I don't think there's much you can do beyond having a few months of supplies, a generator, some ready cash, trade goods and self defense capability. I disagree. For as long as I can remember, I've always heard certain folks describe sports as nothing more than a distraction from the important news of the day. I've even heard certain folks say that the anti-trust exemption given to MLB was, in part, because the national infatuation with baseball was a useful diversion for eyes that might otherwise pry in governmental affairs. So in that sense - both sports and social media provide a valuable service to DC - one by distraction, the other by the control of information. In both cases - roundly applauded by the masses for their entertainment value - even though both did the citizenry a disservice. Not so different after all.

I have scrolled through that, looking mainly for cars and tools, and it is a hot mess. Even when you set the filter for "local" you get ads from dipshits on the other side of the country that say "we ship." Women are not a homogenous group. But the one thing that surprised me after I got some years under my belt is, just how many of them have no real idea (at least that they admit to in public) what they want.

They think they know, because they take a lot of cues from culture and peers etc, but oftentimes when they get it, not so much. Its not universal. There are a lot of women who are less subjective in their approach to decisions, but in general the feels, and peer feedback are a pretty big deal.

And to be fair, there's a lot of dudes who think they know what they want but then get it and are pretty damn miserable. Because, many, not all, take their cues from observable characteristics and sometimes the things you can't see, are the things that matter the most.

Life gets you either way.

I'm imagining your experience was different than mine. After I was widowed (at 50 and four boys, two under 10) and when I was ready to start dating again, I frequented church related events and pro-life rallies. I didn't meet anyone in particular there but what did happen is plenty of the women at those events knew a single friend, sister, neighbor, etc. and was willing to hooked me up. I went on many more blind dates, and had a blast, than dates where I did the asking of women I reached out to.

I don't buy any of that. The truth is, Trump made mistakes. There were times he zigged, but should have zagged. But I hope all see now that the deep state and both parties never gave a damn about Trump. They opposed him at every turn in a way that is truly without comparison. I know people trot out Lincoln as a president that also took a lot of shit. But that is not what I am talking about. No president had the deck stacked against him like Trump did. Half of his own people were against him from day one.

I have a pair of wingtips in the closet that belonged to my Dad, that he had before I was born. I'm 65, so you can figure that out. I keep them for somewhat sentimental reasons, and wear them only occassionally, because they are now a little too small for my feet. Same for a shirt that belonged to him, still hangs in my closet. i wore a military bandana/cravat/the thing Barnes wore in Platoon for most of this pandemic. I think it goes back to the late 80s. I stopped wearing it because the wash cycles were doing it in. I would rather keep it as a keepsake. Now I mostly use a $5 mask. If I wear it ten minutes out of the average day, I would be surprised.
