Catastrophic Moron George Bush: Today's GOP is "Isolationist," "Nativist"

I'm sure we're all happy that we fought for this repulsive craven cocksucker and American Disaster.

Former President George W. Bush described the modern-day GOP as "isolationist, protectionist, and to a certain extent, nativist" in an interview Tuesday that was packed with implicit criticism of the most recent Republican president.

"It's not exactly my vision" for the party, Bush told NBC's "Today" show in a rare live TV appearance. "But, you know, I’m just an old guy they put out to pasture."

He stayed silent as a mouse through Obama's terms but he's rarin' to get on TV to attack Trump and the non-Kennebunkport Konservatives who supported him.

Here's his idea of the Perfect Republican: a liberal.

Still, Bush remained hopeful that a more moderate Republican -- one who supported reasonable gun reform measures, increased public school funding and a path to citizenship for undocumented workers, among other policies -- could succeed in the party’s 2024 presidential primary.

Does this mean Jeb! is tanned, rested, and ready?

He also came out in favor of even more draconian leftwing media/tech bro controls on "misinformation," which is information the leftwing and the catamite GOP establishment disputes:

As for the Jan. 6 insurrection perpetrated by supporters of former President Donald Trump, "it did make me sick. I felt ill. And I just couldn't believe it," Bush said.

"What's really troubling is how much misinformation there is and the capacity of people to spread all kinds of untruth,” he added. "And I don't know what we're going to do about that."

Eat another pretzel, cokehead. Try not to choke to death. We just couldn't soldier on without you and your schlubby pillowbiter of a brother.

Not that puzzling. The GOP establishment, especially the Bush clan, view the party as their personal thing. The rest of us are supposed to shut up and defer to our betters who decide the party platform, the candidates, etc. If we're good, maybe they'll throw a scrap or two our way.

The other part, I believe, is that the establishment in the West knows that the whole edifice is fragile and can collapse at any moment. Everything they've done is about keeping it propped up another day, another month, another term, because they are too stupid and incompetent to know how to function when it all goes away.

Then Saddam doesn't invade Kuwait. By 2009 when Obama came into power Iraq was stabilized and had a fragile peace, and the Iranians were teetering on the brink of revolution. It was Obama's decision to abandon both of those efforts that led to the current situation.

Removing Saddam arguably gave us a lot more freedom to maneuver in middle eastern affairs, and removed a major threat against the Saudis which allowed them breathing room to make some reforms and focus on Iran.

Lol. It might because the GOP will rig the next primaries as much as the Democrats rigged the next election.

It's all academic at this point. The GOP will never win another Presidential election again. The Democrats stole power, no one stopped them, and now they'll never give it back.

The positive future for the traditional American founding stock (read: white people), if there is one, is not in the current electoral system. It is in creating a new one via secession, hopefully once the current system collapses and cannot sustain itself.

Iraq in '91 would likely have been far easier to manage. By 2003 they'd had another ten years of Saddam's purges, as well as the damage from the embargo. In '91 they were just out of the Iran-Iraq war, so another massive defeat would have had a greater psychological effect.

312 Bush always was a moderate. VERY moderate. He always was. Centrist even.

That he was re-made into BusHitler with his VP DarthChenney was always a lie told by Democrats.

But somehow the "mainstream" GOP was led to believe that it was possible to pick someone moderate *enough*. Like McCain, who was Satan until he had the grace to lose and then deified when he had the good sense to die, or Romney, evil incarnate until he, too, had the good grace to lose.

The GOP voting base is probably pretty moderate and always has been. And honestly? Trump is an Old School Democrat, policy-wise. What he did, mostly, was notice that it didn't matter what you did, you'd be framed as a Nazi fascist no matter what.

And today? Well, today we're told that it's just normal for teenagers to have knife fights and that civilization itself is white and anyone who prefers civilization is a white supremacist. (It's a step up from civilization being the Patriarchy, I guess.)

Bush is a globalist, and like all globalists, he thinks America belongs not to its citizens, but to the entire world.

So of course it's wrong for "nativists" -- i.e. American citizens -- to think that they should have some say in how their country is run, and who is allowed to come and live here. See, our betters at Facebook and Coca Cola and Apple and Amazon have already figured what is best for us, so we just need to shut the f*ck up already and do as we're told by our elite globalist masters (of whom Bush fancies himself one).

Iraq in '91 would likely have been far easier to manage. By 2003 they'd had another ten years of Saddam's purges, as well as the damage from the embargo. In '91 they were just out of the Iran-Iraq war, so another massive defeat would have had a greater psychological effect.

Even more importantly, in '91 we had the Cold War force structure, by 2003 that'd been drawn down to half its previous strength. We didn't have the boots needed for a real occupation, but Rumsfeld blew smoke up Bush's ass and Bush thought it felt good.

Yeah - that's why the Federalists made such a big deal about writing an Amendment promising that anyone who could buy the ink and paper - and at least rent time on a press - could do so, and then post their written opinions in public spaces without fear of Government arrest or seizure of either the writings or the press. I'm sure, if only the post-Revolution colonists had today's fact-checkers - they wouldn't have give a shit about the 1A at all.

It's also why the Anti-Federalists were right. Human nature is what it is - laws don't change that. Honestly, folks - we're right back where we started - getting a Crown Stamp on a piece of paper. Do you really think getting that stamp was all about a simple tax ?

It looks to me like his entire defense strategy was "Shut up, you don't understand! I'm a cop!!"
_______________

Nelson did a good job with the cop witnesses for the state, he did not do as good a job with the state's medical witnesses, and his own use-of-force witness (Brodd) was an idiot who crumbled on cross.

Part of Nelson's problem was that he was inundated with thousands of pages of documents from the state, and they dumped a lot of shit on him at the last minute (the night before, the morning of, etc.), including some last-minute changes to the state's expert reports.

The state had multiple prosecutors working the case, backed up by multiple private law firms (donating multiple lawyers' time) as well as the state of Minnesota's resources. Nelson was pretty much on his own, with limited resources. It was not a fair fight by any stretch of the imagination.

Nelson was also getting threats to himself & family throughout the trial. The stress that he was under was nothing that anyone should have to endure.

Sadly, I have absolutely no regret or remorse or sad feelings about the teenage girl with the knife being taken out by the policeman. What happened to her was a partly a product of her culture, but primarily a product of her *choice*.
As a 'Catho-holic' (a term my Russian Orthodox high school friend coined for us), we were taught that the 'age or reason' (where you can distinguish right from wrong) is about age seven. This young woman had the ability to know right from wrong. She chose wrong. Multiple times.
Did the parents of this girl fail to bring up their daughter with Judeo-Christian values? Did she have two loving parents in the first place? I don't know.
But, bottom line, she chose poorly, and it cost her her life.

I am still not convinced that what we wanted was wrong, but rather that we were cataclysmically bad judges of character and what our representatives' own purpose was.

I think we all revert to Manicheanism in a sense. If the Dems are the Devil, then our own choice must be better. The problem is, that is not the case. Different bad is not the same as 'good'.

I don't really think it would have mattered in this case how brilliant a case Nelson had put on. There was no way he was ever going to win. Most the jurors admitted during voir dire that they had a bad impression of Chauvin. They were not sequestered during trial, so they were coming into the courthouse every day past the riot barricades and the protesters shouting for blood. And then of course there was the $27 million settlement to Floyd's family right in the middle of trial.

The whole thing was a joke. And having a dozen lawyers on the prosecution side constantly burying poor Nelson in documents and motions just added insult to injury.

I give Nelson a lot of credit for the job he did. It wasn't the greatest, but given what he was dealing with, it was better than a lot of lawyers would have been able to pull off. And the fact that he was even willing to do it, knowing the risks to himself and his family, was a credit to his character.

It was a show trial. I have no shits to give about Chauvin - what he's got coming isn't all about George at all, and it isn't letter of the law, but has anyone looked into his background ? Dude has use of force complaints out the ass. Sometimes, getting fired or getting caught isn't about what you just did - but more about what you've always done. The world will be a slightly better place with both George and Chauvin on ice.

Yet - we just watched a show trial. That's the problem. A big one.
