But Carolla isn't really part of the right, so he doesn't understand this: The liberal Republicans/NeverTrumpers hate Candace Owens more than the left does. And for many of the same reasons. (They *are* corporate progressives, after all, and they LOVE leftwing cancel culture.)
--- Candice takes attention they want focused on them as well as showing them as frauds. Magicians dislike those who show their tricks from study, but loath other magicians that pull the curtain back. Posted by: Bete at April 22, 2021 06:48 PM (Ojki1) 16

YAY! Since Ghost, the cat I got as a feral kitten, decided to revert to feral, I called my vet yesterday about getting a kitten.
Please note that I still like Ghost, though he doesn't seem to reciprocate, though he comes in for food and water twice a day. But I want feline affection, not just, "Hey, human, I want fed!" Anyway, I got a call back, and they have two light gray tabbies being hand-raised They will be a week old tomorrow. I'll be going in early next week to meet them, and decide if I want one in 6-8 weeks. This is an extremely likely outcome. Posted by: empire 1 at April 22, 2021 07:02 PM (JJatH) 56

32 I feel sorry for the dogs who were split up.
And I watched the punching cat vid about 20 times. Posted by: Sebastian Melmoth at April 22, 2021 06:53 PM (2DOZq) The family had two toy poodles when I was growing up. Great dogs, and they being poodles, they were smart dogs. When we lived in Germany, we had the dogs with us, and whenever we took them to be groomed, they were lovingly taken care of by a German couple. My thought is that during that whole time, the dogs were never separated. When we took them th be groomed, they were calm, cool and collected. When we brought them back, the same. I say this because back in the States when we took the poodles to be groomed, they lost their ever loving minds and we had to have them restrained...and they knew when they were going to the vet or to grooming. They were most likely separated during that time, and as such, dogs being pack animals, they did not deal with that very well...especially two poodles who were brother and sister by different litters and spent practically all their time together. You honestly can't go 30 seconds of driving without seeing one. there's easily 2-3 on every street and cul de sac in my neighborhood. Of course, CA was giving serious kickbacks for a while. I just can't wrap my head around a $150k car with a shitty paint job. Of course, there's plenty of free charging stations everywhere. And by free, I mean the rest of us get to pay for the things. Personally, I'd buy a Cessna, but that's me I guess. Oh, don't forget the extra $50 for the personalized plate that tells everybody how smart and green you are. Some of them make me want to hurt the driver. So honestly, the more idiots that think these things can drive themselves, and climb in the backseat the better. That's like having rat shit all over your house, hiring an exterminator,
and the guy gives you polaroids. Thanks, but we knew that bit and right now are mostly interested in the exterminating part. ** I think it was very useful in it's own way. I think he accidentally won in 2016 because the Democrats (and Republicans) didn't see any reason to prepare for fraud to beat him. They thought it was a given, and he ended up pulling off the upset. We would be slowly working our way towards socialism/communism same as we are right now, but we would still be laboring under the false assumption that our votes mattered and the people we voted for were working for the US instead of the US Government. Oh, and that minor part about the SCOTUS dissolving the union by not doing their job with Pennsylvania and then saying that states had no standing, I guess. Without Trump we'd still be saying "aw shucks, we'll get 'em next time!" and pulling the lever for Romney and Jeb. Also, knowing now what we've seen after the election and January 6th, I'm certain Trump tried to put the Insurrection Act into play and the government told him to get fucked. Not so long ago, trying to convince people on our side that Republicans were almost to a man worthless gormless shitstains was a lot harder than you'd think. People couldn't wait to lecture you about how great so-and-so was at that Town Hall or that CPAC or that Congressional Hearing.
Same goes with Fox News. I'm *still* having a hard time convincing people that Fox has been squarely aligned against us since the early 2000's but probably before that.
