A nine-page Instagram post, shared by the 28-year-old singer this week, expressed staunch opposition to the soirées – where expectant parents announce the gender of their baby through any variety of items being unveiled in pink or blue. Go with a professional. I told daughter that I thought I detected a damp rug in the bathroom, but was not able to really check it for her. Plumber found an almost invisible hairline crack in the tank so she need the whole thing replaced. Not at all an obvious failure.

Yes! Turning off smart punctuation is always a good idea I think. And javascript as well, but a lot of sites do not function well without it! Select JS off for AoS if you browser permits it (and I think Brave does).

Woke up this morning and went car shopping.
He has a good stash saved up, and a great credit score, but we decided to finance in order to build a payment history.
Got a 2016 Rav 4. 16k. Not too many miles.
Took him out for dinner after.
It was a good end to a crappy week for him.

Of course you're right, but I'm not so pessimistic. First of all, I think there are multiple people who think they're in charge, which leads to a certain amount of bureaucratic friction. But more importantly, their authority does not go as far or as deep as they think it does. Maybe this was always true, but even more so today, it is possible just to ignore a lot of the nonsense coming out of Washington. Mock them and ignore them. They are powerless to do very much about it. And then the main thing is that they are incompetent, but I already said that. They will do damage, but not nearly so much as if they were competent and well-led.

Speech to text translation can be quite a hoot. Charter's phone system's voicemail has this transcription feature where you can have transcription (attempts) of voicemails sent to your email. That feature requires you verify it from the email, which system wasn't working right and crapped out with errors. They fixed it and I set it up today.
I then called the system to test it. It has done some hilarious botches, with one funny one being when my mother left Miley a voicemail and it translated one line as, "I called to see if you were the liar."
In the test, I decided to say something like that. Here's how the system transcribed that test message:

I would love it if it was just packing boxes, but the garage is going to be epic because of all the equipment. It will be like moving a custom harley shop, mostly because thats exactly wtf I'll be doing. I'm talking a shit ton of stuff. We'll have movers for the furniture, and they did say they will move boxes if needed. The guitars and amps are my deal, as well as tools. Tools are last to go because I have to do things to this house before it goes on the market, so every last tool and contractor type supplies stay to the end. It will take a month to move, no doubt about it. Not going to kill myself over this.

If I even get it all settled by october. My beautiful epic book cases I built have to stay behind, because I don't think I can get them apart without ruining them, so I'll have to build new ones. They go ceiling to floor with corbels and crown molding. Over 180 miters along the top. I'll never get it apart without screwing something up. It took 6 weeks to build working every day, and I have to do it again. I have to set up the garage temporary like, because I want to add a separate building for the bike stuff, so thats another bastard to deal with, because once that's built everything in the garage will have to get moved...again. Its a long road.

Probably the last concert I was at was Jerry Jeff Walker. It was in a small bar in Tejas so it was great. Now he is passed unfortunately. My only music was band/orchestra. Wanted to start in 5th grade with a sax, but parents didn't have the money. "Wanna play sax? The clarinet has almost the same mouthpiece and is closest". Played it 2 years, no chance of getting a sax, the 7th grade band director said, "do you want to play bassoon?" "What is a bassoon?" "It's an instrument that will get you an A in band for 3 years, because I need a bassoon player, and the school has a bassoon that is not being used."
I can directly attribute many good times to being able to play bassoon not very well for the next 8 years, jr hi, hi school, and 2 years of college.

OK. Jr year, our HS was known for band, orchestra, jazz band, and marching band. Playing the bassoon, obviously I didn't march with it, so I was the drum major. Now this was early 70's, so don't confuse me with the movie Drumline, but we put on a show marching. HS football season and the Daffodil Parade every spring, Tacoma, Puyallup, Sumner, and Orting. All day march event.
Anyway, every other year, the band went to Abbortsford, BC, an hour east of Vancouver. They had a choral band competition of 10 bands from western US and a few from Canada, then a march of all bands down main street the next day after the choral competition. Our HS had done this every other year for many years, cuz our band director, Dick Graham, was cool and had connections and Abbottsford organizers liked him.

We sucked every year on the competition, but rocked out the marching parade in front of the locals.
We stayed in local people's homes for the 4 day duration. And next door was Linda I., and let's just say we, together, figured out how to sneak out and learn how to find privacy, at least enough for her, each night in the back yards.
I said nothing, in fact denied all rumors, on the 3 hour bus ride back. And Linda I. privately told me later she appreciated that.
If I didn't play the bassoon, I would have never gone to Abbottsford.

I am with you. I never got the Heavy Metal thing. If that movie was a flashpoint to many, so be it. I guess to us it was Fast Times. There are certain movies that stand out for whatever reason. I understand that certain movies are lynch pins for whatever reason. I get why Heavy Metal was such a big thing to many. Now if those same people also say Flash Gordon was an important film, then I really do have to wonder.

Reading the above about the transgender brainwashing done in the schools reminds me of the HR personnel at my last company that thought they were psychiatrists. I did want to tell Salty Dog if he's here this morning that Jessie was back yesterday after a couple of weeks without being there because of snow) (Her daughter brought her) and she played. I told her that you asked asked after her and for some reason she thought this was funny-I guess the idea of someone she doesn't know asking about her and sending regards was amusing. What amused me was that she said , "How old is this guy?" I said, "I don't know. In his late 60s maybe or a little older and I said "I don't think he wants to date you, Jessie. He's married. He's just a really nice guy." So thank you for bringing joy and laughter to our organists life-and to me too.
P.S. If you were in your 90's and free she'd be a good choice. She's cute as a button (everybody loves her) and she's makes delicious candies and cookies,

She's a very interesting person. Someone should get her story on tape. She grew up in very small house that had no running water. These older folks who lived through the depression and talk about it are a treasure. Much more resilient than people much, much younger. She just moved in with her daughter. I think I figure it out.
Cold air is denser, and heavier.
So it all must be beginning to flow down to the bottom half of the world. Science would support this idea, if temps begin to trend lower below the equator. And of course, all the really cold air would collect down at the very bottom, at the south pole.

no one wants to come out and say it but if you search the web, there was a point when the Army was handing them out like Chiclets. I don't even like discussing these things but it is what it is. A lot of people still believe the Bronze Star, it just below the Silver Star, which is just below The Medal of Honor. But it is very different in the Army unless you have a combat V. Just as someone who loves history, has French or the Army ever explained how he earned the Bronze Star? These things are not supposed to be secret awards. Someone has to know what he did to earn that medal.

I used to live in a neighborhood where most of the homes (not mine, I lived in an apartment building) had been moved there in the late 40s to make way for power tunnels. They picked up and transported an entire neighborhood like 7-8 miles away. I've seen old newspaper pics of the caravans of homes being moved.
I could identify them by their raised stone foundations. One interesting thing was that due to the differently-shaped lots, many of the houses were placed with what used to be one side now facing the front, so the old side doors became the front doors.

Gasoline in my area went up but $0.55 averaged that was between six fill ups at the gas station.
Jan. 1, 2021 it was $1.85 per gallon.
It went up $0.20 by the end of Jan.
February 28, 2021 it is now $2.65 per gallon. It went up $0.60 by the end of Feb.
At this rate by July we will be paying well over $3.50 a gallon for gas.
