9 I always loved rough seas: I don't get seasick and bad weather underway made for a short chow line. Plus, stuff like this is more pronounced on a frigate. It's like being on a slow-motion roller coaster.

18 When I first looked at today's art, all I could think of was an ill-fated charter fishing trip I went on shortly after moving to NH. Seas were 6ft+ and we went out towards the Isles of Shoals. Talk about getting sea sick. First thing to go was the Dramamine. I hugged the rail while chumming for the entire 4hr trip.

In my experience, (7 times across the Atlantic), these deep of swells will have grey skies, not blue.
And the wake would attenuate faster than this.

Maybe this ship has a Masker system on the prop. Single prop, because of the wake.

75 I love paintings that show the power of the ocean and this one captures it. The scale of the dark waves following the boat, overshadowing the man made device. The huge expanse of water and sky with the boat at the very bottom of the frame. (Hope that doesn't foreshadow anything.) It all adds up to a sense of peril and drama that hits the viewer.

Nay. Seeing the horizon is steadying, as is having duty and responsibility to steady you.

Steep pitching can be unsettling for me, unlike rolls, which I never minded. Only puked once, due to deep swells, a greasy breakfast, being below decks near the bow, and the smell of a Diesel Fuel Marine leak (which I was investigating). Embarrassing.

Back in the ol' spice routes days, there were sergeants on ships, but they found the enlisted men were all too fond of picking up addictive substances in the far east, after which they were useless. If it was just the lowly shipmen, that was fine, but it started infecting the sergeants.

Back then they called any and all those addictive substances thyme. And at some point, I think it was in the 1700s, the Royal Navy decided they would no longer allow ANY ship to dock in locales where they were selling thyme.

The end result? No more sergeants in the Navy.

The dive planes, rudder, and righting moment are pretty much it. If a sub rolls too much on the surface it will uncover bottom ballast tank holes and let out all the air and most likely sink.

I've found the worst is exciting the dutchroll. Get the pilot to yaw to equilibrium, disengage autopilot/control law/yaw dampers then let go of the yoke/stik. At the more neutral CyB CnB dutchroll will just go and go.

If you're head down or oriented out of the aircrafts primary axis and watching horizon that hits the stomach empty button. In flight test, which I only have a ground support experience in, that's what washes out a test engineer the quickest. Large pitch maneuvers, negative G, snap rolls, they can normally get through. But a little dutchroll and they're done.

Bad thing for Lindell, Crowder did some investigation on his own and found several things in his video that were simply untrue.

Same with Powell and Gulianni. Said had they just spent a bit of time and went after the EASY voter fraud (false addresses, fake signatures, etc.) they wouldn't have had so many cases thrown out.

Going after Dominion was the wrong play as it would take MONTHS to do an actual investigation.

That being said, I think the spike seen after the mysterious count stoppage and the devices being attached illegally to the internet during the election are big players.....

I've been trying to buy a new GPU for months, without much success, and I certainly agree with strengthening our supply chain, especially by restoring our own manufacturing capacity. However, what exactly does Biden have to do with any of this, other than getting government the hell out of business' way? Are some of those humanities and gender studies majors that he's hiring going to straighten out the fab lines? Will the higher wages he wants to legislate and the "diversity" he wants to mandate make us more competitive?
In fact, everything in his and his party's portfolio of actions will make things worse. But I guess he (or more likely, his puppetmasters) see this as an opportunity to pretend they're doing something useful.

266 The last election is just another reminder of how incompetent the Republican party is.

Everyone knew there would be fraud. Trump warned about it at every rally. If the RNC was competent, there would have been a squad of lawyers at every swing state site that was controlled by democrats. They would have had judges on speed dial for court orders to allow real observers and access to everything.

But, being the stupid party made up of idiots who send money to the party without any accountability, nothing like that happened. So the democrats took advantage and cheated like the cocksuckers they are.

I believe Trump has learned his lesson concerning hiring people who are loyal and know how to do a job properly. Crowder is absolutely right, any fraud charge needs to be something that is investigated and proven. Maybe we could get him to run the RNC.

Bonilla barged into the victim's home, and threatened him with a handgun and a metal pipe. He tied up the man in his bedroom, and said, "You are not going to die, but you are going to have something to remember this for your whole life," according to the outlet.

The married father of five from El Salvador then pulled down the victim's shorts and said, "This is normal, you will not die today."

Bonilla took a pair of scissors and began cutting the man's penis, splattering blood everywhere. He continued threatening the man before leaving the home with the severed organ, the Smoking Gun reported. The victim's two daughters were in the home during the incident.

Doctors have been unable to reattach the victim's penis and he's been having trouble with urinating and having sexual intercourse with his wife.

What I really don't understand about Liz Cheney is that the side she's supporting did everything they could to put her dad in jail. When that didn't work, they settled for his closest advisor, who didn't get the benefit of the doubt from W, so was left twisting in the breeze after W's second term. Trump then did what W wouldn't do, and pardoned Scooter Libby.

What bothers me even more, now that I think about it, is that Dick Cheney couldn't tell his daughter to zip it, and that Scooter didn't even give as much as a word of thanks to Trump after he pardoned him.

Ungrateful scum, all around. To think that I even have Cheney's book as well (which was pretty good).

Of course, our RNC chairperson won't be doing that.

So, a Trump appointed leader (I believe it should be Donald Jr.) should be on a jet every day recruiting local, state and federal candidates from Trump loyalists. Primary squishes in red districts and get good challengers in blue districts that can be turned. Establish a new 401c3 that people can contribute to that doesn't go into the RNC coffers.

Run as republicans with the goal of taking over the RNC completely after 2022.

333 Keep in mind that Dr. Levine, now in his mid-60's, was married and had two kids, and didn't start dressing as a woman and presenting himself to the public as a woman until sometime in his late 40's or early 50's. I first heard of his transition about 10 or 12 years ago from a med school classmate who is always up on the latest alumni gossip and who goes to the class reunions every couple of years. So, either:
1.He transitioned as a young man and hid it for years, making him a fraud then.
2. He remains un-mangled with working male parts, making him a fraud now
3. He transitioned in middle age, making him mentally deranged

He has betrayed the public trust in two ways that we know of. He pulled him mother from a nursing home during early 2020 as COVID was on the rise, then okayed the PA governor's strategy of sending COVID positive seniors back into nursing homes. And he advocates for bypassing parental rights in the decision making process of handling gender confusion issues in young teens.

He should not be confirmed (on these grounds) and should go disappear from the public eye and live out his silver years as an Angela Lansbury stunt double.

It's not about whether we believe him or not, it's about how he, just a few weeks ago, thought it was a good idea to make a very public admonition against Trump as though he was purging the party of Trump.

And then, now, he has to make public noises in favor of the guy he talked about prosecuting criminally.

The voters have sent a message loud enough that Mitch completely abandoned his plan to purge the party of Trump.

Politics isn't about getting the right people into position. It's about getting the wrong people to do the right thing.

One of the things that I've noted from Saul Alinsky's book, which I'm reading right now, is that he quotes FDR, who said that it's not enough to get a policy or person into office, but we have to keep the pressure on them as well.

That's a matter of training, which could have come from the RNC. When poll workers were threatened and intimidated, they should have known what the rules about intimidation are, and do something about that as well. That's on the RNC as well. 411 266 The last election is just another reminder of how incompetent the Republican party is.

Folks.. the GOP endorsed it. They weren't stupid. Exactly what they wanted to happen, happened.

There were lawyers in every swing state. What are you supposed to do when judges, such as the ones in Detroit, deny requests or there is no way to enforce judges orders?
People keep up repeating the false meme that the Republicans did nothing to stop fraud, which isn't true. In Michigan, the republican legislature filed four different lawsuits pre election to stop the illegal changes to Michigan election laws and they won all four. Voting machine count change is one thing, but so much of what was brought up as fraud has(to be continued)

The GOP was flatfooted in allowing the mass mail-in balloting. Certain states (NC / GA) engaged in "sue and settle" tactics in collusive lawsuits brought by Democrats to gut voter integrity measures. The PA legislature apparently expanded mail-in balloting (even though it was against the PA state constitution).

After the "votes" were cast, it was too late to close the barn doors. Its inexplicable that state level GOP officials were as permissive of mass mail-in balloting as they were.

419 The RNC does the bare minimum to fight voter fraud. The DNC is relentless in promoting it. There's the difference and that goes back to at least Nixon-Kennedy.

422 continuing from previous post. the fraud people say they witnessed has been disproven. The story and video of the truck pulling up in the middle of the night with ballots? Yes, these were ballots that were dropped off in drop boxes throughout Wayne county, totalled 16,000 and had a chain of custody with them. Do I think that is a great way to manage ballots, of course not, but it was not illegal. I was stunned to hear during the Michigan election hearings the woman who was an election certifier and had refused to certifiy Wayne county due to discrepencies between poll books and ballots admit to the committee that her estimation was that around 450 votes were unaccounted for. Now maybe I heard her wrong. But I was under the assumption that it was thousands of votes, not 450. Do I believe Joe Biden won Michigan by 14x what Trump did? No I don't . I think the voting machine tallies are the answer and since Trump's brilliant lawyers did NOT ask for a recount, we may never know .
