Sefton: sefton at cutjibnewsletter.com | Cutting the Cord Update: I Disconnected My Cable BoxThe cable guy just fixed the internet. I disconnected the cable box to see what cutting the cord was like. Commenters recommended Pluto TV, which was available as an app through my PS4. It's free. It took about 60 to 90 seconds to download and install. I found it in about one minute scrolling through all the apps listed on the PS4. You can go to Pluto.tv to view their website, and see how to connect, whether by smart tv, a streaming device like Amazon Fire stick or Roku or the PS4, or even on your phone. There are more than a hundred channels, from a Star Trek channel, to a Sci-Fi channel (which also plays some Star Trek), to an entire channel of CSI repeats, and an entire channel of 007 movies, 24 hours a day. Newswise, they have OANN, Newsmax, The Blaze and others. They have liberal networks too, like Bloomberg News and I think a version of CNN and MSNBC and NBC News, too. They seem to have a deal with CBS in particular. There are a dozen or so local CBS News channels. There's a lot of British stuff, from Father Ted to Classic Doctor Who. There are a whole bunch of Pluto-branded versions of channels like Comedy Central and MTV and that crap. I don't know if these are the actual channels or maybe like highlights of the channels. The Comedy Central channel has repeats of Crank Yankers, so maybe this is just some of their older material? There are also a lot of movie channels, like "90s Throwback," "80s Rewind," "70s Classics." 80s Rewind was playing Hellraiser 2, followed by Heathers. In addition to a lot of Live TV channels, there's also a lot of On Demand stuff. For example, I can watch the 007 movies playing on the 007 channel, but I could also watch, say, Doctor No on demand. Again: this is free. Although you don't have channels that I know people watch a lot of, like ID and HGTV, they do have their own knockoff versions of that kind of programming. And also: Free. But if you have to have some of those cable channels, like ID, you can get Philo TV, which has 63 channels for $20 a month. That doesn't seem worth it to me, but then, I don't watch ID. I'm surprised. I'd say "delighted" but that sounds like something that closet case David French would say upon seeing tonight's chosen buck. Given that this stuff is free, it makes it pretty affordable to buy the occasional series like Always Sunny in Philadelphia or What We Do In the Shadows on Amazon Prime. Here's a sample of their channel lineup now. You can scroll the different categories available on the left, and scroll down the actual show listings in the middle/right. This is going to be super-easy, barely an inconvenience. I don't watch a lot of TV anyway. I just sometimes put something on when I'm bored and getting ready for bed. Obviously, Zero Dollars is a good price to pay for this level of TV. Check it out. And thanks to everyone who suggested it. Zero fucking dollars. Well, I mean, I do have to pay for internet, but I was already paying for that. I'm so happy I will never pay for ESPN, ABC, MSNBC, CNN or Fox again. Goodbye, motherf***ers. When the ratings aren't budging, that's me not watching. More: 219 They seem to have a deal with CBS in particular. There are a dozen or so local CBS News channels.I've looked at Sling a bunch of times. But the cheapest package is like $50 per month. You start getting back up to cable prices pretty quickly. Don't forget pirating, I can get just about anything I want. Movies, tv shows, books, etc.
All this talk of revolution and black pill, hitting the enemy in the pocketbook is a good first step. Get a VPN, I use "private internet access https://www.privateinternetaccess.com/ it's like $3 a month. This protects you and makes you anonymous. Then get uTorrent, it's free software that allows BitTorrent to work. Go to a website like 1337x.to it's basically a search engine for all things to pirate. There are other options out there. For those who haven't made the plunge I can tell you I was really intimidated to switch to streaming tv (Roku) and Vonage phone. The menu takes a bit of getting used for Roku since it's bit more work to navigate but now it's second nature.
Also, there are websites that will do comparisons on different packages, whether they offer cloud recording, how many devices you can have before they start charging extra (Roku is 5). I had almost half my trunk full of shit that I took back to the cable company when I made the switch almost a year ago and when I brought my stuff in they had stacks of converter boxes, recorders, etc. on their office floor from others doing the same. I want cable tv to die, but all they would have to do is charge like $20 a month and they would be fine.
If companies like Disney and Netflix can do it for around $12 ad free, a cable company that doesn't create its own content AND has advertising should be able to give customers a basic cable package easily for like $20 or cheaper, but they never will. There's still too many boomers that will pay the $200 to get basic cable. My dad would literally pay like $500 a month if he had to get his cable tv fix where he just channel surfs. they'll probably just squeeze it until like 90% of people have left, then maybe do something different. I discovered Pluto TV about a month ago and I loved it and starting telling everyone. And since then I've watched about a half-dozen James Bond movies--it's like Bond week, 24/7. Of note, OANN isn't on the same schedule as the actual network, so I think you get the previous night's shows, for example, rather than the current programming that would match the live channel. Pluto is also owned by ViacomCBS, hence the reason it has a lot of CBS content.

They seem to have a deal with CBS in particular. There are a dozen or so local CBS News channels.
++++++++++++++ Correct. PlutoTV was created by ViacomCBS. There are some other partners involved, but the big dog is Viacom - so ad revenues feed back into ViacomCBS. One other note: the version of OAN on Pluto isn't live, it's replay. Here is a brief roundup of these. - Pluto: Free to use; owned by ViacomCBS. - Philo: Paid, $20/month. This is essentially an intermediate cable package without news and sports. Philo is a JV owned by a number of cable networks (A&E, AMC, Discovery and CBS again (Viacom is involved in both Philo and Pluto)). - KlowdTV: Paid, $5/month. Provides live OAN and a couple of others. For more money, you can also get Blaze, RT, and some others. Owned by Herring Networks, which also owns OANN. - Newsmax: free. Independent and delivers only the Newsmax content to your smart TV. For more fully-fledged cable TV replacements delivered over the internet (and all the same problems as cable - like paying people who hate you, but also things like news and sports and premium packages), there are (at various prices): - Youtube TV (Google) - AT&T TV NOW (AT&T) - Sling TV (Echostar/Dish Network) - Hulu (Disney) I have actually used *all* of these except for Youtube TV. They all work. Of the mainline paid cable-replacement services, I found AT&T TV NOW to be the best overall user experience. I dropped it in favor of Philo, since the entertainment pieces are the only thing my family are interested in. Philo works very well and is very easy to use as well. KlowdTV is the worst app experience, but it is so simple that it doesn't matter. It doesn't do much more than deliver OAN to you (or the other channels, which I have never actually turned on). Pluto is cool and since it is free, why not? Posted by: Joe Mannix (Not a cop!) at November 10, 2020 03:09 PM (hYcqw) 220

Posted by: Puddleglum at November 10, 2020 02:59 PM (ynfOY) +++++++++++ This depends. If you have a streaming service, there is usually a so-called "Cloud DVR" available, which allows you to replay live-only content later. No extra hardware. If you want to record over-the-air, you can get standalone DVRs that connect to your antenna and record broadcast like a traditional VCR. Of these, my favorite is a product called "HD Home Run" - though it has been years since I have used one of these standalone devices. Many of them will interface with a smart TV and show up as an app, too, which makes things nice and easy. As you ramp up complication, you can also use a Plex server as a DVR or to watch live TV through your antenna. If you have a decent media library as it is (digital/file-based library), I really recommend Plex. It increases complexity until you get it all going, but then it just works and works splendidly. I am a big fan of Plex. Posted by: Joe Mannix (Not a cop!) at November 10, 2020 03:12 PM (hYcqw) 240

Culkin is great whenever he comes on. Max Landis was a bit of a chore.
I hope they get more guests on when they stop being terrified of covid. Their latest Half in the Bag made it extremely obvious that they're fucking terrified of it. Posted by: TheJamesMadison, going back...to the Future! at November 10, 2020 03:10 PM (NWM+b) I didn't watch the latest one because I hate Borat. I don't even want to hear someone talking about it. Yeah, Landis is painful. Patton Oswalt was more bearable. The one martial arts guy who did the bad movies that they had on a couple of times was good. It was funny that he came on after they had trashed a couple of his movies. It's weird, but people who were worried before seem more panicked than ever now. Even people marginally concerned are starting to flip out. Posted by: Comrade WOPR at November 10, 2020 03:15 PM (J70i0) 257

I'm about ready to cut the cord. The main reason I didn't before is that about the only things I watch are sports and news, and for the longest time, those were the two things that it made sense to watch live and were difficult to get via streaming. Well...now that all the sports leagues have bent the knee to BLM and are a shadow of themselves during Covid, I gave them up. So sports are out. And now with Fox News going the way of a poor imitation of XiNN, I've already switched to OANN and NewsMax.
Now the only issues is my wife and kids...but they would be fine with streaming content since they are just into shows that don't need to be viewed live. Posted by: Matt at November 10, 2020 03:15 PM (3J5Re) 259

3 years ago I was paying a combined $245 per month for DSL internet ($80) and DirectTV ($165). My wife wanted her Hallmark channels but no DTV lineup had them all. We never watched $165 per month of TV anyway and half the channels were sales crap. I called DTV to complain about the price and they told me point blank that they would not give me the same rates as a new customer would get ($45) for the same thing. So... fired them.
Called Centurylink and they doubled my internet speed at a reduced cost ($55). Signed up for Sling TV for $65 per month. Halved the monthly cost, have no sales channels and a ton more sports than DTV ever thought of. I also ripped all my DVDs to MP4 files and run a Plex media server with them on it. Bought a $29 Roku for each TV. Never regretted any of it. Posted by: Deplorable JC at November 10, 2020 03:18 PM (UeU18) 280

If these two are what I've heard about before, the former MIGHT be included in the latter (since exact times are not given), but the latter might actually be somewhat bigger. The latter was something observed over an hour. So while Trump dropped 32,815, he may have had additional votes added in after the switch, which means the drop was bigger. The cord is getting cut even if I wasn't pissed at the media. I'm not paying a shitload of money to feed a pack of overpaid woke assholes. Posted by: kbdabear at November 10, 2020 03:22 PM (qAR6u) We had Verizon Fios, now Frontier. We dropped the dial up phone a long time ago, which saved us around $75 a month (after taxes and fees). We then, last year, dumped TV, which saved us another $120 or so a month. We even got Frontier to put us on some crazy plan so now I'm getting 25/25 internet for under $50 a month. Glad you did this. I got rid of cable 8 years ago and went to Roku. Never looked back. If you're so inclined, a digital antenna (which you might already have in your smart tv, but you can get them cheap online) will get you local channels and news stations for free on top.

Cutting the cord is way more devastating to cable propaganda news than not watching. Comcast and the others pay Fix, XiNN, MSLSD whether you watch or not.
If you like OANN and Newsmax, it's only a matter of time before the cable companies cut them out. All the more reason to cut the cord Posted by: kbdabear at November 10, 2020 03:25 PM (qAR6u) 331

For those wondering about antennas, you may find this useful. Wall of text below.
------------------- For receiving local channels - and there are more of them than you think since the HDTV transition was finished - you have choices, too. Unless you are quite rural or have mountains in the way, an antenna may be a great choice to pick up live local programming. This works, in essence, like it always has. If you have a remotely modern TV set (manufactured after about 2005), it likely already has a digital (ATSC) tuner. Plug in your antenna and instruct your TV to scan for channels (your TV's user's manual will show you how). In the digital TV era, signals are broadcast at a much higher frequency than the old VHF and UHF analogue systems. As a result, you may find that your reception isn't great outside of urban areas. In my experience, indoor TV antennas work fairly well in cities and suburbs and above ground (e.g., not in the basement). For more marginal areas, a rooftop TV aerial probably makes sense. For some indication of what channels you can receive with an antenna, the distance to your local transmitters and where those transmitters are, I strongly recommend checking out www.antennaweb.org. Here, you can enter your ZIP code or address and it will tell you what channels you should be able to access, where the transmitters are, how far away they are and what kind of signal strength you can expect. It's a great resource for choosing an antenna and aiming it. One final note on antennas is around availability and distance. If you're more than 20 miles from a transmitter, assume you'll need an amplified antenna to get a good signal. This may be true anyway. And their talent is bar none the stupidest gang of drooling retards in the news business. They make the dull-normals at CNN look like Rhodes scholars.
Fox survived a long time with the combination of not being hard left, waving a flag, and having airbrush-makeup cuties that showed off their legs and cleavage like a Mexican TV channel. But the content was always bad, stupid, weak, and sometimes just ridiculous. Even fairly serious, decent stuff like Hannity & Colmes went stupid and awful when it was just Hannity. The last time I watched Fox News was Desert Storm. That was the last time I watched CNN, too. I used to like CNN Headline News because they didn't have time to be stupid and partisan, but their choice of what to cover and how to write the crawl still betrayed their bias. It just was a lot less back then. I want CNN to turn into Headline News period, all the time, because that's all anyone really needs in an airport or bar anyway. Was stationed on and off on a Navy base since 1987 to 2012. Still live here. Base used to be, and still is, a firing range only now they only shoot over the water.
As a result, when cable started becoming the thing on base housing and government buildings, cables were buried underground. Due to high risk, there was an additional wait required to allow EOD to check for unexploded ordnance along the intended path of the underground cable. I'm up to 4 TB drives in my PC and also stand-alones to hold all the movies and TV series I've ripped to digital files. It's mostly finding the time to render the video that holds me up from doing all my dvds. That, and the fact that I've got a nice collection of silent movies, and those are tricky to convert to digital because of the wonky frame-rates they had back in those days. You've got to know more about video editing than I do to do those, so I just keep the dvds handy for playing whenever I want to see those films. I wouldn't be overly sure that AZ won't end up getting recounted.
Look, where we are is that 3 states have to be flipped back to reflect the true results of the election. GA needs to be fixed, it is obvious fraud. PA has the court cases to be addressed, assume that flips back. This puts Biden at 270. Then we need to flip 1 EV back. NE-2 is being looked at. NV has demonstrated fraud. WI Biden leads by 20K with statistically impossible turnout. MI there is a current court case. AZ there is fraud there, but hasn't been delved into because the count was still going. If Biden wins, it is by a small amount. There will likely be a court ordered recount by the end. Yes, it all looks daunting, but that is the nature of the beast. The operation is for the Dems to cheat at such a massive scale that everyone gives up. At the end of the day though, it is a multi-state cheating operation. This won't be overturned state by state. I'm glad you posted this, Ace. In the broader Fox conversation, In the discussion of the superiority of (free) Newsmax and OAN and Breitbart News to Fox, I don't think it has been emphasized enough what an enormous amount of money you can save by embracing these channels. I would encourage people to suggest LIBERAL alternatives to CNN and MSNBC, if such things exist, so we can save our relatives and friends some money as well.
While I have, through a period of impoverishment, managed to break the spell of cable completely forever, I recognize what a huge lift it is to ask people to ditch it who rely on it to wake them up in the morning or passively inform their brains at night before bed. But good goddamn, if you are a boomer who doesn't change your cable company every year to keep the promo price (let's face it: this describes most of Fox News' audience) you're talking about $150 per month. There's a guy claiming that there's enough "glitch" votes to reclaim for Trump to reclaim the lead from his 45k deficit. 19,958 in one instance, 32,815 in the other.
Biden gained something like 6,000 more votes than just the 32,815 stolen from Trump. Posted by: Optimizer at November 10, 2020 03:19 PM (hOOi9) Actually, reviewing the reporting on the 2nd PA "glitch", it goes like this: 7:31: 3,177,086/2.946,881 89% reporting became 8:38: 3,144,471/2,972,675 87% reporting So Trump dropped 32,615, and Biden gained 25,794. So I got it backwards - Biden gained about 6,000 LESS than what Trump lost. On the one hand, that's actually a swing of 58,409 (the sum of the two deviations). On the other hand, it doesn't fit the pattern. With Scorecard, votes taken from Trump go to Biden, so Biden should have gone up at least 32,615. It's definitely fishy, but what we know about Scorecard doesn't seem to explain it. Posted by: Optimizer at November 10, 2020 03:36 PM (hOOi9) 402

Trump wont concede until after the electors are certified mid-December.
The chances of a 269 tie are slim, due to the Biden victory in Omaha, NE. While a tie is still mathematically possible, it is highly unlikely. I also do not foresee a scenario where a state does not cast electors for one candidate or the other, though this is obviously new territory in modern elections. There are a lot of small farm upstarts, or bigger farm YouTube channels ... I find them fun end educational, but wish they would mirror their content on other providers (like Bitchute). Because they get defunded or even cancelled if they talk pro Trump stuff, even if they don't mention Trump, just "Bad Think".
Rudy was just on Newsmax (or maybe not live, idk) ... explaining there were about 600,000+ votes (mail ins) where watchers were ejected. That (should) invalidate all those votes ... they were illegally counted, evidence of the envelopes lost or destroyed, no way to tell if any of them were legit. They are now just "naked ballots" that could be from anywhere, originals ballots could be incinerated. This was the poll workers/bosses decision, to cheat, to illegally count and destroy any chance to validate the count. There is obvious motive to eject the legal watchers ... (not just "legal to watch, but illegal to eject) ... no way to recount, naked ballots could all be fakes, or all the Trump votes replaced, no chain of custody, no observers allowed ... eject them all. This is probably the case in other states ... I'll wait for lawyers to aggressively prove this to SCOTUS ... I guess I could throw another $100 at the lawyers to help, but mostly I can only observe. Just downloaded Pluto.tv on my XBox. Checked out the On-Demand movies and they have "The Big Short". I've seen it before, but it always fascinates me seeing how everything played out. Plus great cast.
Anyway, while Michael Burry is running his idea to short the housing market by his boss, he is told "that's insane. The housing market has never crashed in the history of the country". Or something along those lines. Made me think of a comment from someone here on an earlier thread when I posted that Twitter is saying "voter fraud of any kind is exceedingly rare". The commenter replied "past performance is no indication of future performance. Everything has 'never happened before' until it happens." Or something along those lines. So yeah... Twitter can push the narrative of "exceedingly rare" all they want. Same applied to the housing market and that crashed too. Same narrative was pushed back in 2006-2008 too. Everyone in government and media pushed the "everything is fine" narrative. At the end of the day though, it is a multi-state cheating operation. This won't be overturned state by state. --- It's six different games 6 different rules And, most important, six different clocks. Trump is going for a win in AZ and kicking out invalid votes in the other 5. Votes that have ALWAYS been rejected. That's why Trump is so confident. That's why he keeps going on about valid votes. The dems plan is: Run out the clock. Get the votes certified before they can be checked. Force the states to hurry because they are pushing up against the electors deadline. Why are they so desperate? Trump flips one state and the reason for dig into the others skyrockets. AZ is the absolute linchpin. Followed by GA. I've never been a TV watcher, not even when I was a kid, so it's hard for me to understand why it's so hard to drop this crap.
Thor is a big TV guy ( he mainly just flips channels, but he seems to have to have something on at all times) but we cut the chord awhile back. DirecTV did something that pissed him off, and now we just do Roku and Hulu. Hulu gets incrementally more expensive, though. Oh and I can't wean him off of Netflix. He rips copies of everything he gets, though, so I feel like we're getting something from it at least. We have Amazon Prime but don't watch anything. I'm just not a watcher, and he mainly just watches Jeopardy, Ninja Warrior, Columbo and few other old-school things, as well as Big Bang and Mike and Molly. Don't see why he doesn't buy the series ( he does have Comumbo) or rent and copy them, but he just has to have shit on the TV constantly. Will never understand it. americasvoice.news is rapidly becoming one of my news sources. It is on the web at this link. NewsMax is the other one, which is on local Seattle Comcast at 1115. OAN is not on my local Comcast. Only online right now. WarRoom Pandemic is carried completely, on NewsMax they use an hour a day or so and there are between 2 to as much as 4 hours a day. Steve Bannon has guests that break news on the Great American Theft (tm) (haha). Raheem Kassan is on The National Pulse right now live, and more. Raheem just thanked the Lincoln Project, because their constant harassment on Twitter, Raheem was suspended again and is currently suspended. He THANKED the Lincoln Project, because in the last day, their ratings have increased 400%, and now they are getting advertisement money from some of the same ones we see on FOX. Just got here, and thanks Ace for all the info how to cut the cord, while still being able to watch everything I want to. Posted by: LeftCoast Dawg at November 10, 2020 03:47 PM (sy5kK) 465
Why are you using SSDs for a NAS?
You can absolutely flood a 10 gig wired network with spinning disks. If you really want to be fancy, you can use a small m2 ssd for the NAS's OS. Posted by: bonhomme at November 10, 2020 03:29 PM (i0wNm) ++++++++++++++ Depends on the number of spinning disks. SSDs for a caching tier makes a lot sense if you do a lot of sustained writing (matters less for reading) But the real question comes down to "what do you mean by fast?" If you're talking about throughput, then yes - if you optimize well (and most modern storage arrays do this very well), you can move YUBE gobs of data quite quickly. But if you're talking about latency (response time), then SSD will crush it every time. If you care about latency (for example, if you run virtual machines), then SSD is the winner with no contest. And in real-time interactive applications, latency matters a ton and the difference between 1-2 milliseconds and 15-20 milliseconds is enormous. For pure media streaming, latency is less important because it isn't interactive. Posted by: Joe Mannix (Not a cop!) at November 10, 2020 03:48 PM (hYcqw) 466

We are looking at the fact on the ground and trying to figure out if we are living on the same planet as everyone else. It seems so obvious to us, but everyone is telling us what what we see is either wrong or doesn't matter. At the end of the day, what is going to matter is the evidence of fraud, which we aren't going to see until the Trump team is ready to release it. Statistically, we can look at all of the question states and see that Trump won them. The statistical anomalies are red flags of fraud, and once removed, Trump wins comfortably.
I would not be surprised if the extent of the cheating and fraud is know fairly quickly--perhaps in months--but it will be too late to change.
The kick in the gut for me is that MOST people know the election was stolen and probably slightly less than half don't think it's any big deal or that Trump deserved it. Trump was a GREAT President. The fact that they were so desperate to get rid of him and pulled out all the stops, cheating like their very lives depended on it, is PROOF. Not to beat a dead or anything, but Ace and everyone:
Pluto is just a subset of Roku. Sling is just a subset of Roku. Everything else you've ever heard of or mentioned is just a subset of Roku. Impressed by the number of channels and options in Pluto? Not only do yet get Pluto for free within Roku, but THERE ARE DOZENS OF SIMILAR "MULTI-STATION" CHANNELS IN ROKU, in addition to Pluto. Don't want to pay $50/month for Sling for their cable-replacement selection? No problem. On Roku, you can cherrypick INDIVIDUAL CABLE NETWORKS of your choosing and pay anywhere between $2 to $6 a month for them. I have Roku and I don't even look at or use Pluto on it. Why not? BECAUSE THERE ARE SO MANY OTHER OPTIONS. 95% of it all is free. The "pay options" usually don't seem to be worth it anyway. I've never paid a cent for any programming on Roku. And since their "programming" consists of all possible programming in all other formats and in all other channels/networks, you simply can't go wrong. Think of it this way: Roku is an ecosystem in which all extant entertainment resides. It's like the Master Control Room for televised video. The problem I'm having with cord cutting is that Comcast is making it very difficult. They remain my only viable internet provider, and they simply won't allow me to but Internet service only.
I can probably force them, but it's not an option they offer on their website. Bundles only, including cable. Really annoying because taking on the phone with them is (a) difficult (long wait times) and (b) frustrating (because they are deceitful and untrustworthy). Posted by: Kensington Comcast actually does sell Internet-only packages, with no Cable TV included. I myself had that deal until just ;ast year, when I finally got fiber-optic cable internet and dumped the cable wire altogether. However, Comcast DOESN'T WANT YOU TO KNOW about the Internet-only deasl, so they hide them from you. But they are required to offer it. But warned, though: They purposely dissuade customers from doing the Internet-only deal by MAKING IT MORE EXPENSIVE than their cheapest Internet_TV deal. So, even though Internet-only may be available to you, it may not be cheaper. Scan your area for fiber-optic. I made the switch and am very very happy that I did so. Zero outages, ever. Very fast. We cut the cord about 8 years ago. We have an antenna in the attic to get local channels. I get ABC, CBS, NBC and FOX local affiliates and about 10 different PBS, cowboy and telemundo channels but we rarely watch any of that anymore. Although recently my kids have become fascinated with the 3 Stooges and Walker Texas Ranger which I DVR. A website called TV fool can tell you what is available for signal at your exact address and what size antenna you would need to get it. I feed all that to a HDHomerun connected up to PLEX running on our NAS for DVR and stored media. Plex is really great if you already have a library of existing movies, music and personal video and pictures. I got a lifetime plex pass for $100 not sure what it costs now. (Looks like $4.99 per month or $120 for a lifetime) Plex has a lot of "free" tv channels and movies available along with the rest of the above. Their music player Plex amp is also my favorite for syncing music playlists to our phones or other devices.

I can't remember its name, but I recently found a website loaded with TV shows from the '50s through the '80s and maybe some newer. Who needs cable? My Sling TV package is $35/month. They do have sports and ESPN channels. Which, a year ago, I wanted.... :-((((

And this is freaky: Pluto has ALL of the old programming of the DuMont Network, from the 1950s. It was one of the original four networks, along with ABC, CBS, NBC, but it didn't survive long.
It did broadcast the original "Honeymooners," though. So for a deep dive into nostalgia, check it out. Posted by: Beverly at November 11, 2020 12:01 AM (7N9W2) 528
Your method of cord cutting is far more expensive than mine. I literally canceled. I don't watch television. At this point, if I were to consider it, youtube is offering television through their site. YouTube? No, for a thousand and one reasons no.
Part of cord cutting was the specific rot. Some of it was for the general rot. Television has not improved in the last few decades. Still, if you must have rot, I guess... go for it. But it sure looks expensive. Not sure how much packages cost though, anymore. It's your money and time. Posted by: Doom at November 11, 2020 02:21 AM (Cvp6z) Processing 0.09, elapsed 0.106 seconds. |
