Polls: Biden's National Lead Down to 4, Says Harris/Hill
New Harris poll for the Hill shows Biden slipping a point, leading Trump by only four nationally. And leading by four nationally means "behind in the swing states by 1-2."
Now, per Rasmussen, which skews more R, Trump is actually up +1 nationally, which would suggest he's going to win all the swing states. Joe Biden's campaign schedule indicates that Biden knows the polls are garbage. Supposedly Biden's up comfortably in Minnestoa. Five weeks ago, the Star-Tribune/Mason-Dixon poll put Biden up only by six, which itself was quite a surprise from a polling series that normally overstates Democratic performance. The center-left MinnPost's survey two weeks ago put Biden up by only five -- and Biden didn’t get to 50% in either of them. Today, two new polls have Trump just within their margins of error in this race. I think that black and Hispanic support for Trump will be the difference maker in a number of states. I've been listening to local black conservatives being interviewed and they think black support for Trump is much stronger than anyone has polled. A local radio host John Anthony said his mother (who voted Dem her whole life) will vote for Trump. She's fed up with the riots, looting and lawlessness.

I know Maryland officials started telling people today that they should not put absentee ballots in the mail but instead use the drop-off boxes.
Here in VA, early voting ends on Saturday, but anyone with an absentee ballot can still drop it off at a polling place on election day instead of standing in line to vote in person.

Chi-Nah wanted to cause chaos in the US as prep for their continued expansion of influence and eventually, control of the Pacific Ocean. Poot-Poot, being smart but also being behind the 8-ball of having a huge country with money problems and crippling corruption, saw that if Chi-Nah couldn't expand into the Pacific, they would start looking to the west, at Siberia.
So he piled on, to help keep the Chinese distracted in the Pacific. If the Chinese were victorious, they'll spend decades consolidating their rule over the Pacific before looking to the east. If the US prevails, a possible adversary that might threaten Russia is destroyed. Putin comes out ahead either way.

2020 General Election - Early Voting Report
Early voting ends tomorrow! I know everyone shares in my excitement/relief.
We have officially surpassed 50% turnout. Through yesterday, 8,525,424 Texans have voted early. It was pointed out to me by The Texas Tribune's Evan Smith that when we look at the numbers through today (tomorrow's report), we will have surpassed the total number of people who voted in the 2016 General Election.
As a reminder, there are still four million voters who have voted in a previous General Election who have NOT voted yet. A few weeks ago, I said we would probably get to 12 million votes cast. I'm feeling a little bit better about that prediction.
Below is the chart tracking each group of early voters by previous election history. Voters with General Election history who have not voted in a previous party's primary are about to make up the largest group of voters.Their share of the votes cast has increased 7.2% since my first report. Voters with no previous General or Primary Election history has also increased its share (by 7.0%). Their increase in the share of all votes cast has primarily come at the expense of voters with previous Democratic Primary history. That group has seen a decrease of 11.5% in their share of all votes cast.

VA seems like it's within the realm of possibility.
If the House of Burgess' activities and proclivities have pissed off enough of the state that's not part of NOVA or Richmond, and if Trump's campaign kicks enough VA GOP butt to get them moving.
As an addition datum: I was looking at the VA SoS website and returned mail in ballots. One of the worst localities was Richmond and its surrounding county. The best Congressional districts were uniformly Republican. Hard to tell too much from that information, but it can easily be interpreted as bad for Democrats.

This is anecdotal, but outside the early polling place this afternoon there were 4 or 5 people out in front waving Trump signs. Across the parking lot was one lone lady with a Puddinhead sign and no one around her. I saw that with my own two lying eyes.

Indications from NC show depressed black turnout. Mixed with the plethora of polls showing increased black support for Trump, I think your first point is solid.
The Republican turnout question seems largely based on how self-motivated less regular voters in Southwest Virginia are after they sat out the last midterm that delivered the House of Burgess, barely to Democrats, who then spent two years flying their freak flag very high as well as the actual GOTV effort Trump's team is apparently forcing on the VA GOP. I hope it's enough, but we'll see. We are seeing really high turnout rates from rural areas in places like Nevada right now, so there's a solid chance.

El Paso - just as AZ a few months back, and the RGV as well, this is part of Mexico's acute peak being "borrowed" across the border (literally, as Christy points out - same thing happened from San Diego to the TX border cities, people taking ambulances from the border crossing direct to hospitals). Imperial County, east of San Diego, was swamped.
Chihuaha, across border from El Paso, is the only state still "red" in Mexico's public health rating system.
I'm not all the upset about this, for the most part. See it as purely humanitarian aid, really. If we have available ICU space, use it (normal stay in ICU is brief - with either, ahemm, outcome .....).

Turnout was about 12% with Hillary getting 89% of them.
I imagine turnout will go down to about 11-11.5% with Biden getting about 80% of them (Trump getting between 13-15% and the rest going third party like Kanye).
That sort of result makes some states like NC and MI impossible for Democrats to win.

Of the Democrats I spoke to, 99% are voting for Biden
Of the Republicans I spoke to, 98% are voting for Trump.

I saw an analysis earlier today (I think gorilla thread) that the R's actually need 16 seats to flip from D to R to take a majority, because some of the open seats are natural R's that they're going to take anyway (and John Lewis's seat isn't). Given some of the people who got elected in 2018, that is very doable. I don't know enough about individual House races to know whether that can happen -- as they say, all politics is local -- but it seems possible with a good showing at the top of the ticket in some of the most purple districts.

Here in SE Ohio, nobody is shy about their Trump love. If a home has one sign or flag for the Pres, they've got half a dozen. I can think of at least three properties with groupings that could totally be considered shrines, with GIANT signs. There is a barn with a Trump banner so big it almost covers the whole side of the barn. Every other pickup truck flies an American flag and a Trump flag. I love the one with Rambo Trump.

I still cannot believe the the throwaway speech at the Secular Bar/Bat Mitzvah at my school was given not by a valedictorian - the top 10% of the class was declared such - but rather by who won the popularity contest. So, I was wondering why there aren't people shouting when the camera is on them "Biden's a Crook"? Oh, I remember, there are no, absolutely no, public events now. No place a camera could catch a bunch of people shaming the "news". No sports, festivals, concerts, nothing. Outside of Trump's rallies. .
So, this whole mask shit, quarantine, spike in testing, is just another way we've been muzzled. There are no public forums now. Gone. They've shut everything down with a wave of their hands. Just like that. The only approved public speach is hatred against western civilization and incitement toward violence. That's allowed.
This was not overnight but carefully planned and scripted for months (or years?) towards this crescendo of silence the week before the election. That's why they're confident. They've carried out their plan. Will it work, I don't know.

I do think the left's technocrat masters believe they've developed the ability to determine a future outcome based upon their social media plus search stats. Heinlen foundation like, they think. They've communicated that to their democrat pawns and that's also why they're confident.

I've actually come down after sleeping after a night shift and walked into the living room and went arse over it over the back of a sofa as my muscle memory won out over sleep fogged eyesight.
Lady Botham is also a beast for furniture rearranging at the drop of the hat.
Luckily the shape and size of our living room is such that there's only a very limited permutation of positions for our furniture. And I think I now have a fair idea where everything might be placed in the event of a power outage following a spasm of fevered rearrangement from a demented female while I'm out of the house.

Dems have 2,177,012 registered voters available, and 85% of those have not voted reliably.

Conservatives are more likely to work so they probably can't tear themselves away as easily to vote early. So Election Day it is for many of them, especially if they are, say, small business owners or the like.
