The Morning Report - 10/16/20

bidensgoodfs.jpg

Good morning, kids. The weekend is here and what an insane week it has been. Considering everything that's happened since last New Year's Day, that's saying something. On top of wrapping up the confirmation hearings of Amy Coney Barrett, the polar opposite in every way, shape and form of the deceased individual hailed as a deity by the Left that she will be replacing - in and of itself a history-making story which will no doubt affect the trajectory of this nation for decades to come - we have two more titanic stories that are equally consequential: the dam bursting forth with The New York Post's blockbuster expose of the Biden Family's criminal enterprise centered around a 50-year pay-for-play influence-peddling racket run by the current Democrat Party presidential nominee AND the Big Brother Big Tech oligarchy strangling the first amendment in an attempt to cover it all up.

All of that makes the fact that we had what ordinarily would be a page one story of dueling Presidential town halls last night pale in insignificance. Despite the complete puerile, shameless hackery of both Savannah Gutterball and George "the Minimal" Stephanopoulos, they weren't, as we'll discuss in a moment.

But first, Tucker Carlson went on a tear last night about the Bidens, who, as the revelations begin to come out bit by bit are threatening to steal the crown of the most corrupt political family from the Clintons and the Kennedys.

In the later years of the Obama administration, then-Vice President Joe Biden, the current Democratic nominee for president, led U.S. diplomat relations with Ukraine. Joe Biden's son Hunter sat on the board of Burisma at the same time.

According to Carlson, Vadym Pozharskyi, an adviser to Burisma's board, e-mailed Biden and his then-business partner Devon Archer about their "final goals" and to form a "concrete course of action" related to their dealings with Burisma.

"So what did Burisma want exactly? Well, good PR for starters," Carlson said. "The executive wanted, quote, high-ranking U.S. officials to express their, quote, positive opinion of Burisma. And then he wanted the administration to act on Burisma's behalf."

Pozharskyi told Hunter Biden that Burisma executives wanted public support from U.S. officials, as well as to "close down any cases/pursuits against the head of Burisma in Ukraine," Carlson said, quoting Pozharskyi's email.

Carlson then revealed a Dec. 2, 2015, email from the PR firm Blue Star Strategies obtained exclusively by "Tucker Carlson Tonight."

"Hello all... This morning the White House hosted a conference call regarding the Vice President's upcoming trip to Ukraine. Attached is a memo from the Blue Star Strategies team with the minutes of the call, which outlined the trip's agenda and addressed several questions regarding U.S. policy toward Ukraine," the email said.

"So here you have a PR firm involved in an official White House foreign policy call. How could that happen? Good question -- but it worked. Days later, Joe Biden flew to Ukraine and did exactly what his son wanted. The vice president gave a speech slamming the very Ukrainian law enforcement official who was tormenting Burisma. The exact guy," Carlson said, referring to former Ukrainian Prosecutor General Viktor Shokin.

But wait! There's more. I guess there must be a direct flight on Epstein Airways from Kiev to Beijing that we didn't know about. Until now.

E-mails show that Hunter wanted to have "lasting and lucrative" deals with the top Chinese private energy company, which would bring in tens of millions for his family. The company was CEFC China Energy Co. based in Shanghai. Chairman Ye Jianming vanished in 2018 after Chinese authorities took him into custody. CEFC went bankrupt in early 2020.

One email sent to Biden on May 13, 2017, with the subject line "Expectations," included details of "remuneration packages" for six people involved in an unspecified business venture. Biden was identified as "Chair / Vice Chair depending on agreement with CEFC," an apparent reference to the former Shanghai-based conglomerate CEFC China Energy Co.

His pay was pegged at "850" and the email also noted that "Hunter has some office expectations he will elaborate."

A provisional agreement stated that four people would split 80% of the new company's shares. Initials identified the four people, which correspond with the four people involved in the email: H, RW, JG, and TB.

There was also 10 for Jim and "10 held by H for the big guy." The e-mails did not identify this big guy.

One guess who that is. Hint: he's running for president on the Democrat Party line and his frontal lobe is the consistency of overcooked Wheatina. It cannot be stressed enough that as horrendous as all of this is, it was not limited to just the 8 years of his vice presidency (emphasis on the word "Vice"). Joe Biden was in Washington for nearly a half-century. The corruption of a national political figure and the selling out of our national security and foreign policy to not just the highest bidder but our geopolitical enemies is staggering when seen in that context. When all of this gets out - IF all of this gets out - it may not be too far off the mark to say that Joe Biden hurt this country every much as Aldrich Ames, the Walker spy family, and Robert Hanssen, if not all three combined.

I'm no Theodore H. White. Hell, I'm not even a Perry White. But this is the story of the century. At least it would be the story of the century if there were real journalists taking it national on every front page and every broadcast outlet in the nation. But at least we have the internet and alternate media to get the story out. Oh, wait a second. We don't.

Silicon Valley's bias towards the Democrats is overwhelming. Twitter employees are no exception. According to OpenSecrets' 2020 election cycle report, 98.99% of Twitter employee donations have gone to Democratic federal candidates to date. Only 1.01% has gone to Republican federal candidates. Where Twitter employees want to donate their money is their business. But their company stepped way over the line to tip the scales in favor of the Biden campaign. Twitter shut down the Trump campaign's Twitter account 19 days before the election, while leaving the Biden campaign's account up and running without interruption to disseminate its political messages freely. Even though the shutdown of the Trump campaign's Twitter account was only temporary, the shutdown reinforced Twitter's other actions to suppress dissemination of the New York Post article. In sum, Twitter has provided the Biden campaign with a tremendous gift by censoring critical information about Joe Biden's possible corrupt acts while serving as vice president that may foreshadow what he and his family would do if Biden is elected president. Voters have a right to have unfiltered access to this information, as they do to Joe Biden's position on court packing, before they cast their votes.

Twitter may well have violated federal campaign finance laws with its one-sided censorship to benefit Biden's campaign. As Missouri Republican Senator Josh Hawley wrote in a letter to the Federal Election Commission, "There can be no serious doubt that the Biden campaign derives extraordinary value from depriving voters access to information that, if true, would link the former Vice President to corrupt Ukrainian oligarchs."

Since the rise of the internet along with talk radio, the Leftist propagandists disguised as journalists had their control of the national discourse wrested from them and have been floundering ever since. But, with Leftists controlling the technology that allowed the rise of, well, all of us, it was only a matter of time before they struck back. Can you imagine if Rumproast Clyburn was still the head of the FCC or if Net Neutering aka Neutrality was imposed?

This is just part and parcel of the attempt to not just remove Trump from office but to actually overthrow the United States. It's a high-tech Antifa hate-shake bike lock to the face. The question is, what can be done about it? I do not want the government regulating them for obvious reasons (think: EPA, IRS, DOJ, FBI, CIA). Yet if they are somehow broken up, all we'll get for our troubles is several dozen Dorseys and Zuckerbergs. But they must be punished, and somehow their absolute stranglehold on the sources of real information and dissent must be broken. Figure it out and win a cookie.

* * * * *

As mentioned, last night there were dueling town halls between Trump and Biden. Both had a Soviet quality to them. Savannah Gutterball, the lipless Leftist whose husband was an Al Gore campaign bigwig, led what amounted to a Lavrenty Beria show trial. She did everything she could to upset Trump, but all she did was upset the TV audience and quite probably the confederates in the studio. NBC must've been going apeshit as the masked black woman behind Trump continually nodded in agreement with everything he said. In any case the lack of males in the audience, the questions focused on Trump's supposed Achilles heel, masks and the Chinese infection, and nothing about Biden's corruption, the riots and ACB were just glaringly obvious and hacktastic. Trump looked like a champ and won the night.

Angry little boy George Stephanopoulos over at ABC did what amounted to a Potemkin Village interview with Goofy Joey Bivalve. It was a softball question, five-minute break for a diaper change and monkey gland injections then lather, rinse and repeat. But old Joe made the best of his time on camera, denigrating Amy Coney Barrett, advising cops to shoot people in the leg and looking up at the ceiling at the pretty lights and his Marlon Brando cue cards. Waste of time. Then again, maybe some folks watching who might have been considering voting for this crooked rutabaga thought, "what the fuck am I thinking?"

Lots of other things including the wrapping up of the Amy Coney Barrett confirmation hearings where every horrid thing hurled at her by the Dems landed right back in their faces. As I alluded to above, and in the links in that section, if she does indeed get confirmed, it could portend a major tectonic shift in the right direction for the court as well as the nation.

That is, if the Communists don't set the whole shithouse up in flames in a couple of weeks time.

Have a great weekend.

15 The List:

What worries me:
-Fraud in important states, especially Philadelphia
-White suburban women voting against their interests
-Older GOP voters scared of Covid, voting against Trump
-Irrational hatred of Trump causing people to vote against him just to be rid of him
-5% undecided
-More vote by mail than ever before
-Betting markets, strong betting for Dem landslide
-Very good polling, trying to get PA right, indicates that Biden is leading in PA by 2
-Data confirms that if it wasn't for Covid, this would be a runaway incumbent election

What encourages me:
-In 2016 enthusiasm gap was R+1, right now it is R+34
-The 65 point gap between Trump/Biden voters being able to publicly show support
-Trump reducing ad spending in Iowa/Ohio, those states look safe
-Biden drawing less than 50 people to every live event
-Polls with resonable party ID and sample size showing slight lead for Trump and strength in swing states
-Multiple polls confirming Trump slight lead in swing states
-Strong support being shown for Trump in Black and Hispanic communities
-Whitmar acting like a lawless dictator could result in a huge backlash, MI Supreme Court rejected her request again
-The Gallup result showing 56% say they are better off now than 4 years ago, highest result ever (Reagan was 44%)
-Vote by mail screw ups hurting Democrat voters
-Multiple polls showing clear majorities think Trump will be reelected (even when poll says Biden leads)
-Visible support for Trump (boat parades, car parades, Walter Reed, 20,000 Latino car parade in Miami) and in unexpected places like CA
-Biden campaigning in states Clinton won
-Good polls for Trump taken while he was "at death's door" (per MSM), Trump's recovery not priced in
-Pence destroying Harris
-The North Carolina Democrat debacle probably has made NC a safe state for Trump and Tillis, no one is campaigning there
-Florida rural counties are covered in Trump signs, rural turnout is the key to winning Florida
-Norpoth model predicts Trump with 363 EVs, Rasmussen offered a similar analysis recently, no President who has run unopposed in his primaries has ever lost
-Support intensity, in 2016 Clinton and Trump both had 63% strong support, in 2020 Trump has 83% and Biden 49%
-Gun and ammo sales are through the roof, suggesting that law and order is the top issue for voters
-After the Deep State, Russia Collusion, Impeachment, and Covid crashing the economy, somehow Joe Biden is the magic bullet to bring Trump down?
-3rd Quarter results will release Oct 29 and will be fastest quarterly growth in history
-GOP has contacted over 20 million through door knocks, Dems have done 0
-GOP new registration much higher than Dem new registrations, especially in PA
-Mike Pence drew 4000 people to a rally in The Villages, the same place Politico raved about a 300 strong Biden golf cart parade
-Since Labor Day, 240,000 people have attended Trump rallies, 84 people have attended Biden events
-Economic confidence on all metrics are among the highest of all time
-At the Sanford, FL rally, 16% of attendees were Democrats and 24% didn't vote in 2016
-Solid data on new registrations in Michigan show that counties that voted GOP in 2012 and 2016 have the most new voters
-Twitter censors the NY Post: Streisand Effect
-Trump is swamping Biden in number of donors, in Nevada it is 4:1
-Under 30 likelihood to vote is way down this year, below 2016
-Florida is over, I'm calling it now, Trump will win it. Trump has gained 5 points on Atlantic Coast and 10 points in Miami-Dade over his 2016 numbers

Exercised, shaved, forked hay for the felines, and threw together a little breakfast for myself. I'm "working" from home today. In actuality I'm running Linda out to the 'burbs for a hair appointment and other errands.

I had a look at the first few minutes of the Biden crapshow, and skipped down through the video. Even leaving his horrific platform and our knowledge of his corruption aside, Joey just seems . . . lackluster compared to Trump.

I don't watch Today or other network news babble, so I don't know who this Savannah Guthrie is. Even in the first few minutes, as she went after Trump about his COVID response and hammered at him about masks, she seemed on the edge of flying apart. And you say she got worse?

DOJ, FEC and FCC among others could reign in these out of control Democrat aligned monstrosities but so far nothing.

I remember a time when the DOJ was going to bring the hammer down on Microsoft for including a web browser in their operating system, meanwhile they allow Twitter, Google and the other Social Media companies to throttle free speech and give billions of dollars of in kind contributions to one political party while disadvantaging another.

57 Yesterday I received my official absentee ballot from the Registrar of Voters. I was surprised to see how many other people/parties are on the ballot: the Socialism and Liberation Party (really), the Becoming One Nation Party (uh-huh), and the Birthday Party (yeah, really really) with Kanye West as the candidate.

There are Repubs on the ticket for US Senator and Rep from my congressional district. After that, every single candidate -- for judge, magistrate, and school board -- are all Ds. In most cases it would be a coin toss as to who to pick. Can I just leave those blank, or is it possible the RoV will use that as an excuse to toss my ballot?

My thoughts at the tail end of the ONT were that the "media" found it absolutely imperative to expose this woman's identity to the American people. Yet they find no such necessity in telling the American people a thing about the massive Biden Ukrainian Scandal. The firey pits of hell are too good for these people.

What Rudy has is an image of the mac harddrive.

One of the greatest things about Mac OS is that you can make an image/clone and boot off of the drive as if you have the physical computer.

So Rudy is literally looking at and has access to Hunter Biden's computer.

It still doesn't make sense to me that Hunter would turn in a water-damaged MacBook, with all of those pictures and email correspondence, and not go back to pay for it - for months - after he turned it in.

I believe that he tried to destroy it by tossing it in a body of water, and someone else who saw him do it fished it out and gave it to the repair guy.

130 The Democrats have already found the way to sell broken-brained Biden:

Progressive Democrats Reveal Radical Platform: "Biden a Doorway, Not a Destination"

A recently revealed policy charter developed by left-wing activist groups and intended for implementation by a Biden administration calls for guaranteed housing, raising the minimum wage, public ownership stakes in all corporations receiving bailouts, universal healthcare, expanded unemployment insurance for illegal immigrants, defunding police, and repairing "historic harms" while ending "systemic racism."

Progressive members of Congress, including the far-left Squad, have pledged to use the charter as a legislative blueprint to achieve what they have long desired to.

One of the greatest things about Mac OS is that you can make an image/clone and boot off of the drive as if you have the physical computer.

You can do this with most OS's, to be honest.

Mirror the drive, set it as primary and boot away.

There are several software packages out there that allow you to do this across most platforms.

It's not the crack talking.

During his senate career, Joe Biden was often referred to as "the senator from MBNA" due to his willingness to do the bidding of the big banks (like MBNA, one of Joe's major donors) that were headquartered in Delaware.

Hunter Biden, still wet behind the ears, was given a 6-figure "consulting" job at MBNA when he was in his early 20's.

What possible knowledge or skill could Hunter have brought MBNA at that time, other than his proximity to daddy Joe? None. Hunter knew squat about banking, other than how to open a checking account. The job was a pay-off to Joe Biden, laundered through his son. And no doubt daddy Joe got the bulk of Hunter's "salary."

As far as I am aware, you cannot boot an external PC image in target mode from a different pc computer.

You can mount the pc drive but you cannout run apps off the drive as if you are running them from the native computer.

That really a mac exclusive feature.

I can make an image of one macbook pro then boot that image on another as if that external image is the native boot os.

I can take one mac laptop and set it to target mode, connect a cable to another mac and use that computer as the boot drive.

You cannot do any of that shit on PC.

So that's one of the reason why macs while running Unix are pretty much gigantic security risks in any sensitive data situation.

204 No, it does make sense that Hunter dropped off those computers.

Remember: You're trying to make logical sense of the actions of a drug addict

Keeping all that as proof for blackmail? Makes sense
Panicking in a drug haze when he spilled something on them and rushing to the computer shop? Yes.
Forgetting what he did when he came down from the high? Normal.
Ignoring the phone calls and messages from the unknown number? Obviously.

As others have pointed out: Just what the hell was on there that the guy said--"I better call the FBI?"

Cause he has 100 computers full of druggie selfies and their talking openly about their crimes.

Joe Biden's Boosters Wrote His Prodigal Son's Entire Resume
By Paul Sperry, RealClearInvestigations
October 16, 2020
https://tinyurl.com/y2dggb95

Hunter Biden profited from his father's political connections long before he struck questionable deals in countries where Joe Biden was undertaking diplomatic missions as vice president. In fact, virtually all the jobs listed on his resume going back to his first position out of college, which paid a six-figure salary, came courtesy of the former six-term senator's donors, lobbyists and cronies, a RealClearInvestigations examination has found.

Okay, take it out of target mode (or actually, not primary).

Totally doable on a PC. Or better yet, convert it to a VM, which will be a bitwise copy AND bootable on just about any other platform.

This is the same guy who left his crack pipe and some of his fake ID's in a rental car. He did this as his daddy was preparing to try and win the Democratic nomination for president.

Hunter is not the sharpest knife in the drawer. Add in the heavy drug use, and the fact that he is probably sub-consciously trying to get himself caught because he loathes himself and knows his father is a scumbag, and it's not hard to believe that he left the computer at the repair shop.

214 Repeating from last night, because..well, fuck them.

Last night on Crowder's live feed of the townhalls, he had Rudy Guliani on before the whole thing started.

Rudy proceeded to show the laptop where the copied hardrive was live on TV and joked some with Crowder about what was on the laptop in terms of pictures.

Rudy stated a few things. One, that Hunter was smoking crack and acting like a madman, but then he said two things which really caught my attention.

That there were pictures of Hunter similar to Anthony Weiner (Carlos Danger) - which could mean just naked ones of himself or the 'other pictures' that apparently made officers so sick they got PTSD.

He also then stated that there were things he shouldn't joke about because they were so disturbing.

Couple that with the well made point last night from a fellow moron:
Why would the Mac Repair guy call the FBI? Over emails? Over pictures of an idiot with a crack pipe?

Nope. What would make him call the FBI?? You know what.

I think there is a big shoe headed towards Hunter's head and the stink is gonna land right on Joe.

Not to mention possibly dragging in one or more other families that may have no reason to to assist a crack head OD?

Plus why leave it at a shop where you don't know for sure what will happen to it rather then getting it to someone anonymous who will use it?

Then there is the leaving porn of himself on the computer (assuming it is there, not to mention if it is underage stuff)?

Maybe, but I think "Crack head doing crackhead things" is the simpler answer.

MacOS is real BSD UNIX. Linux is an AT&T System V clone. They're very different.

As far as I am aware, you cannot boot an external PC image in target mode from a different pc computer.

This is only slightly less trivial on a PC, you just point VMWare or VirtualBox or QEMU or PCEm at the image and boot it right up.

True story, as an engineer at a media company I was asked to repair and diagnose poor performance of a laptop of one of the executives.

What was causing the poor preformance was that the computer was completely filled, not one byte left, with porn, most of it was normal but some of it was, shall we say, questionable.

Imaged the drive, removed it from the laptop, re-installed a clean master image drive, re-installed any additional programs and gave it all back to the executive and showed him how he could find and copy over any data I didn't migrate.

By the end of the night, the nodding lady was identified by a Miami Herald reporter as Mayra Joli, an immigration lawyer, five-time beauty queen and Trump supporter who ran as independent for Congress in Miami in 2018. After the forum, she greeted the president and told him "We have your back!" the Herald story said.

265 I have work to do, so I'll lay it out for everyone.

1) ACB will be confirmed. It will be right before the election, and that is not by accident. Her confirmation is going to help reelection of Senate candidates in MT, GA, NC, AZ, and especially SC. Some of you really need to put out the flames on your head.

2) The Ukraine stories are killing Biden. His support is dropping like a stone in key states where he barely had a lead. The parallel story of tech censorship is also killing the Dem, especially in Senate races. Spending 2 weeks in hearings for Twitter takes the ONLY issue that Dems are winning (Covid) out of the media completely. This is killing the Dems, they are on defense and off message.

3) Trump's only weakness in the polls is Covid, the townhall last night helped him tremendously. It will shore up his weakness on the topic and firm up soft support in his poll numbers.

4) The public polls are crap, and I can prove it.

5) As the race stands right now, 2 weeks out, Trump wins AZ, OH, IA, NC, and FL by bigger margins than last time. He also wins MN, WI, NH, and NV. He is trending much stronger than expected in MI early voting and probably wins. The only state where Biden is competitive is PA, but that is starting to slip away from him.

6) If the race continues on the course we are seeing RIGHT NOW, Trump wins 306 or 326 EVs. Also the GOP expands from 54 seats in the Senate to 56.

266 Credence to the possibility that Hunter left the computer for revenge: imagine how difficult it would be to be the designated dirty-job son, while your brother was idolized and placed on a pedestal. No wonder Hunter was angry in that text; he probably supported Beau's family, too.

So the vote on the 22d won't happen. Graham will have to forward Barrett to the floor of the Senate without recommendation. The Dems will make much of that, precedent, it isn't done, pack the courts, blah blah blah.

So much for letting the Dems get their facetime during the hearing.

Posted by: runner at October 16, 2020 08:41 AM (ReE5g)

Yes...and this repair guy said that he use to be an Apple tech at an Apple store. He was repairing a computer and found child porn on it. He locked the door to the repair room and called the police who came and took the computer. So he's not unfamiliar with the procedure.

In this interview, that I'm still making my way through, the repair guy is talking to 3 reports (do not ask me why! - I would have told them to get the hell out of my store).

He says Hunter(?) brought in 3 laptops. One was not repairable, so he gave it back to H. The other just needed a keyboard to access it, so he gave H a keyboard to borrow and access that laptop. The 3rd is the one he kept to repair.

Some of their questions he answers with 'no comment'...and they really, really want to know who he called about what he found on the laptop. He doesn't give them a name, at least he didn't in what I've listened to so far.

290 One does not take a laptop full of massively incriminating evidence against one's own crime family and leave it there by accident.

Perhaps the little whoormeister was trying to get out of The Game and sock it to his degenerate family?
___________________

I think that he is. Probably not consciously, but his sub-conscious seems to be trying to sabotage him.

Why else would a guy like this become a crack addict (or meth, or whatever it is)? He knows his family, especially his father, is corrupt. You can read the disdain Hunter feels for him in some of the e-mails ("at least I won't take 50% of your salary like Pop does"). The drug use may be a sub-conscious way for Hunter to try and escape from some of the filth that fills his life.

Hunter was a little kid when his mother was killed in the car accident. Hunter knows that daddy was screwing Jill Stevenson very soon after that accident (if not before), at the same time daddy was going on t.v. crying and talking about how devastated he was over the death of Hunter's mommy. (Bill Stevenson wrote in his book that his then-wife Jill was spending a lot of time at Joe Biden's house, baby-sitting his boys Hunter and Beau, after the car accident).

Hunter watched daddy and Jill lie to the public for years about how and when they met. He grew up watching them pretend to be a happy couple in public, even as daddy was chasing every skirt around. He saw his father's dirty deals, he saw his uncle buying votes for Joe, and selling access to Joe (with Joe demanding his cut). Hunter, probably better than anybody else, knows what a complete fraud Joe Biden is.

There is probably a part of Hunter Biden that detests his father and wants to see him exposed.

Wall Street is unsurprising. Big, dominant businesses got there usually by being creative and nimble and efficient. Once they get big, all of that is hard to maintain and things slow down (it's hard to turn a big ship). They then become susceptible to the same thing - a small, creative, efficient outfit that gets big and eats them. They hate that possibility and thus regulatory capture and all the other nastiness. They don't want to have to deal with different assumptions tomorrow.

The steelworkers thing is just a betrayal against the man working like a dog to bring industry back to these shores. I hope the union members don't vote like they're told.

Most likely.

We'll probably pick up at least 5 if not 7 seats from New York alone.

It's not unheard of for a President to win and for his party to fail to gain the House, but it seems very doubtful that Trump would win against, effectively, a generic Democrat, and for Democratic House races to not get caught up on the same nationalized feelings that deliver the White House to Trump.

If anything, I would expect Republican House members to outperform Trump.

Biden's 10-point lead in a recent poll is not possible.

The only answer is a gigantic silent Trump majority.

The Democrats have made it physically, psychologically, economically, academically, and socially DANGEROUS for people to express support for Trump.

But I have maintained, since the 2018 election, that California seats are unwinnable now under any circumstances, because California has successfully changed State Law so that an unlimited number of ballots can be manufactured after the election, carried in bulk to polling stations, and added to the totals so that the Dem will always win by 51% - 49%.

EVEN IF that dem only got 10% of the votes in the actual election.

I am not joking, and the worst part is that it is the State Itself that is doing this, and it is their Police and the State Officials which protect this and help carry out the scheme. Maduro in Venezuela calls up California and asks them for tips on how to run crooked elections.

The fundamental problem is that unions were successful. At the beginning of the trade union movement, there were serious problems that needed to be solved. Endless hours, little time off, poor working conditions - especially in mining and smelting - etc. But the unions won. Things got better. This is a major reason for the decline in union membership (except for the government unions, of course, which shouldn't exist in the first place).

But thanks to a favorable legal environment (like the NLRB, which is captive to the unions), vast sums of money and political side-taking, they have instead become PACs.

Some people believe that amphetamines are helpful for dementia patients and keep them focused. Biden also is a brain surgery patient, so it is not impossible that he's on an anti-convulsant and many of them are somewhat sedating (in fact they're used to keep bipolar mania in check). re abortion and Roe, for all those people screaming about the horrors of back alley abortionists with their rusty coathangers if it is overturned

(and yes, there will be some, hell there are some NOW)

Step by step DIY videos will be on utube the day after, if not already.

But here is my main point, and it is something that is rarely discussed by either side in this long running war --

In 1973, as Roe was being decided, 31 states already had some form of LEGAL abortion on their books. And our country has gotten a lot more liberal since then.

Just like the laws on pot are slowly being changed state-by-state towards legality, the national consensus will eventually follow. Perhaps abortion in some form will become an Amendment. That will take 38 states in agreement, not a big stretch.

But abortion will remain in the US. Advocacy groups will arrange free bus trips to the nearest 'abortion-friendly' state if RvW is overturned.

This is not me arguing for or against abortion, but merely a description of reality.

This will continue until California State Government is overthrown. They have guaranteed that , just like any corrupt dictatorship, they can never be voted out.

Yes. This point has been made before. Their icing out of contrary opinion - and increasingly any opinion that is not perfectly aligned - creates an intelligence vacuum. Anyone who is *not* aligned with them knows exactly what they're thinking and what their plans are. They need only to turn on the TV set or pick up a fish wrapper.

But how do they know what the non-aligned people think, if they forbid them from talking? Are they really opposed or do they just have minor disagreement? Are the a road block to rapid progress, or are they an existential threat? How many non-aligned people are there? Are they likely to go against you, or will they simply stay home and go with the flow?

No one knows, because the Left has cut out its own eyes and ears by suppressing anything approaching dissent.

The real problem, I think, is that the US Steel Industry has been declining for 50 years, for a host of reasons. In 2016 Trump in his campaign promised to help turn that around. He made some good tries, but the industry is still shrinking slightly.

Articles discussing this are always written by Free Market economists who say all the problems are due to tariffs - but that industry has been declining when tariffs are up, and when they're down. The real problem lies elsewhere.

Effect of school closures on mortality from coronavirus disease 2019: old and new predictions

https://tinyurl.com/yyp8vjh3

Results The CovidSim model would have produced a good forecast of the subsequent data if initialised with a reproduction number of about 3.5 for covid-19. The model predicted that school closures and isolation of younger people would increase the total number of deaths, albeit postponed to a second and subsequent waves. The findings of this study suggest that prompt interventions were shown to be highly effective at reducing peak demand for intensive care unit (ICU) beds but also prolong the epidemic, in some cases resulting in more deaths long term. This happens because covid-19 related mortality is highly skewed towards older age groups. In the absence of an effective vaccination programme, none of the proposed mitigation strategies in the UK would reduce the predicted total number of deaths below 200 000.

Conclusions It was predicted in March 2020 that in response to covid-19 a broad lockdown, as opposed to a focus on shielding the most vulnerable members of society, would reduce immediate demand for ICU beds at the cost of more deaths long term. The optimal strategy for saving lives in a covid-19 epidemic is different from that anticipated for an influenza epidemic with a different mortality age profile.

442 But abortion will remain in the US. Advocacy groups will arrange free bus trips to the nearest 'abortion-friendly' state if RvW is overturned.

This is not me arguing for or against abortion, but merely a description of reality.
________________________

Even if Roe v. Wade were to be overturned one day, it would have very little practical effect on abortion in the U.S.

Roe created a federal "constitutional right" to abortion, on very dubious legal grounds. Even if that bogus "right" is eliminated, states will still be free to legislate abortion as they see fit. Since abortion is now pretty firmly entrenched in the culture, most states would still likely permit unlimited abortion in the early months of pregnancy, with some (but certainly not all) states imposing some restrictions or prohibitions in the later months. Lefty states like CA and NY and IL and OR and WA and HI and others would probably pass laws prohibiting any type of restrictions on abortion, up to the moment that the baby is out of the womb and crying (or even after).

So there will not be any need for back-alley, coat-hanger abortions, even if Roe v. Wade gets overturned. If a woman is in her 9th month and lives in Arkansas, she might need to hitch a ride or catch a bus to some neighboring state in order to get her abortion at that point, but there's not going to be much more inconvenience than that.

I still think that the core of the Democratic freakout since 2016 was that they knew that their engine for change in the US for almost 100 years was about to be wrested away from them firmly and in a way that could prevent them from having any say in it for a generation.

444 I know who I'm voting for so I usually don't watch the debates or townhalls. I turned the Trump townhall on last night and the NBC prostitute was demanding Trump again denounce white supremacy. So I turned it off.

Then I read the PJ Media liveblog of both townhalls. Is PJ Media located within DC or NYC? All of the bloggers except Megan Fox were disappointed with Trump's answers. He should have touted his record or he should have explained this or that!!! He was dumb to even agree to this!!! Megan was posting tweets by people disgusted with the NBC prostitute's behavior.

Once again, the "conservative" media misses the big picture. Biden has been in DC for 47 years. Trump wants to again run as the outsider, the underdog fighting against the Establishment. That's tough to do as the incumbent president. I think the purpose of agreeing to these hostile townhalls and debates is not to get certain answers out there. No one really cares about policy details. If you want to hear about his record watch a rally.

I think the whole point of these things is to show that the Establishment and their Corporate Media are still united against Trump. Rather than people coming away from these things saying "I liked that point" or "I didn't like that plan", they come away thinking, "Geez that media person was horrid to the president, why do they all hate him so much?"

Its not 6D chess, but the Big Picture that Trump wants to get across is that he is still the one fighting for us against the entire Establishment. And Biden is part of that Establishment, a lifelong member of the Big Club.

448 The Alpha Bank "Trump Back Channel to Putin" story has an interesting conclusion. It looks like the activity spike is nothing, except maybe something done with intent to plant (false) evidence of some secret conduit. (gee, arranging to plant evidence and entrap ... as they did with the dossier plan). But the tip off to the NY Times and Clinton operatives came two months before the (fake) evidence (spike in activity) even existed.

Planting evidence then lying to the FBI about it? That's a crime (unless done to stop Trump?) But the big part of the PsyOp (Wrap-up Smear) is to get it in the media, so the candidate can say "oh look what our (corrupted) 17 agencies have found about Trump/Putin". This came out days before the election ... it was soon dismissed, but it filled a news cycle, which is the point.

The conclusion of that article: "If it finds that Michael Sussmann or
Marc Elias knowingly violated the law on behalf of the Clinton campaign
or the DNC, then federal investigators can pursue breaking that
attorney-client privilege.

Surely, that's where the complete history of the plot against the president is to be found."

It usually takes a couple of years for suits to get to SCOTUS, and the right has developed its own lawfare apparatus.

I expect there's stuff percolating around at the circuit court level that could quickly move up with the right appeal. The sort of stuff that the right has been sitting on, waiting for RBG's replacement but unwilling to pull the trigger with Roberts as the fifth vote.

As I mentioned earlier, in Reince Prebius' interview yesterday, he made a very good case for voting early as it relates to GOTV efforts.

The amount of data they have on voters is very, very detailed. They know who's requested a ballot, who's returned a ballot, who's a high, medium, and low propensity voter and most importantly, how they vote. They have their numbers updated daily.

So, the earlier you vote, the earlier they can scratch you off the list on their GOTV effort and can concentrate on low and medium propensity voters. He said vote early, it helps...a lot.

But after he falls in love with a dance instructor, Lucky'll do anything to hang his fiance' and her father, which will leave him free to marry or hang dance instructor, Ginger Rogers.

_______________

Roe was based upon prior cases that also created a federal constitutional right (the right to privacy) that isn't actually mentioned in the constitution.

The justices, even the Republican-appointed and sometimes conservative ones like John Roberts, will be reluctant to start dismantling this particular line of cases, because it could have a domino effect. That's why stare decisis is a thing in law. If judges start pulling at individual strings, pretty soon the whole damn rug comes unraveled. Better to just chew a little around the edges of bad prior decisions (they've been doing that to Roe for years, BTW, in cases like Webster, Casey, etc.).

30% of Ds plan to vote on election day

Early voting is meaningless, except where it shows that Democrats are not getting the 50 point margin that they need to overcome the massive election day numbers Trump will get. In MI, the Dems are in serious trouble right now. If they don't pick up their early voter totals soon, they are going to lose badly.
