The ratings for Thursday Night Football fell to a four year low, nearly being beaten by Celebrity Family Feud.

The game averaged a 5.43 rating.

While the NFL game still topped the primetime in both total viewers and adults 18-49, it was a close call. Celebrity Family Feud began its fall run on ABC with 5.26 million viewers, on par with its summer average (as was its 0.7 rating among adults 18-49)....

On cable, Fox News' Tucker Carlson Tonight (4.71 million viewers) and Hannity (4.51 million), along with TNT's NBA game (4.6 million), all finished within shouting distance of the NFL.

Meanwhile, Clay Travis of Outkick.com baits Mark Cuban about the NBA's disastrous, cratered ratings.

More people watched @TuckerCarlson head-to-head than watched Lakers-Nuggets. So far every NBA playoff game has rated lower than the Michael Jordan-Bulls documentary. This is an epic viewing collapse never seen in one year before in sports...

As usual, the easiest way to make Mark Cuban shut up and disappear is to ask him to support the Hong Kong freedom protesters or condemn the tyrannical Chinese communist party. Travis asks Cuban to do that, and Cuban quickly finds something else to do besides troll people on Twitter.

One of Mark Cuban's responses was illuminating, as Sports Wars points out. When Travis noted that the NBA ratings had crashed 40% -- that they'd lost 40% of their customers due to turning the league into a megaphone for far-left racist identity politics -- Cuban responded that "we have the audience that advertisers want."

In other words: We don't care about conservatives, because the left-leaning corporations that advertise with us hate conservatives too.

Interesting.

Sounds a lot like what the comic book companies said when the conservative (or simply non-political) members of their former readership base began complaining about their hard left turn into nonstop divisive leftwing agitprop.

"Then don't buy our books," they said.

Well, they stopped buying the books. And now Marvel and DC are at the edge of an apocalypse. The direct monthly-book comic industry is dead. They're now repositioning to sell... SJW Young Adult graphic novels, mostly for teenaged girls, plus teenaged gays, nigh-exclusively.

I imagine a similar fate awaits our #Woke sports/politics franchises.

Can LeBron write young adult dating fantasies about Batman for pre-tween girls? Guess we'll soon find out.

You know, any company that loses forty f#cking percent of its customers and income... that's not going to be a company that's making a lot of money in the future. No one has a "spare" 40% audience they can afford to just kiss off. 40% of your income isn't mad money or splurge money.
