My only complaint is it looks like Gottlieb painted individuals somewhere else and assembled them in the scene. Like positioning mannikins in a store window. It lacks the cohesiveness in a Rembrandt painting. It's a minor matter that bugs me a bit.

Some seriously dark, tragic stuff.
As for the Yom Kippur War, it was touch and go the first 72 hours. And then the Israelis got their feet underneath them, counterattacked across the Suez, cut off an entire Egyptian army in the Sinai, and came within spitting distance of Cairo. They completely obliterated Syrian armor up north and also advanced on Damascus. The Soviets made noises about intervening, we went to DEFCON 3, and a ceasefire followed within a couple of days due to Kissinger shuttle diplomacy.

Truly striking to me from that piece is that the thin veil of the constitution is pierced.

Truly striking to me from that piece is that the thin veil of the constitution is pierced.
The constitution was shredded with the pandemic and I'm not sure they are ever going to put that firewall back up.
No freedom of speech, assembly, right to bear arms in defense of yourself and property. All shredded because of Wuflu
I don't think they will ever give the power back.
I read it for the first time this morning. It's pretty depressing. And no, the progs will never let up, which is yet another reason why PDT needs to win. If he doesn't, we'll be living under tyranny for the rest of our lives. At least if the Golden Scalp Weasel wins, we can start to work the legal system to eliminate these enemies. If not, at least we know who they are now so we can take our own action.
It's sad that it's come to this, but the progs started it. And turnabout is fair play. They don't feel pity or remorse and they absolutely will not stop...

I'm going to lay down a prediction here and now:
Biden will be "okay," because he won't make any blatantly crazy statements and will be handled with kid gloves by the moderator.
Trump, OTOH, will be knocked off his game because of the low expectations for Stinkfinger and because of the sustained pounding from both Biden and the treasonous press, who will deflect or refuse to acknowledge any attempt by Teh Donald to bring out Biden and his kid's obvious corruption. He will be hammered about his lack of response to Kung Flu. He will get especially hammered regarding BLM, RBG, ACB and the IRS.
Wednesday's headlines will be variants of "Biden remains calm as embattled Trump flounders." Any gaffes Biden makes will be explained / ignored and any missteps by Trump will be amplified into "lies."

The campaign rallies are in PA, WI, MI, MN, VA. There has been a few in FL and NC, but most of the activity are in the first 4 listed above.
Trump only needs to win one of those states.
Trump parades on Rodeo Drive, etc, etc.
There are hallmarks that we have seen historically of the behavior of winning campaigns and losing campaigns. Trump is acting like he is cruising to victory, Biden is flailing trying to find a message and hoping that something sticks.
Again, other than polls, what evidence is there that Biden is winning? Do they act like they are winning?

We've already started to see graphs like this one that show how the committee "normally" waits 40 to 60 days from the time a president nominated a justice to when he/she got a hearing. Well, this wasn't "normal" until relatively recently.
Erielle Davidson, a policy analyst with the Jewish Institute for National Security of America, points out that the Senate Judiciary Committee typically held confirmation hearings much more quickly before 1990. Here's how much time elapsed between the nomination and hearings of some other justices in the modern era:
-- Justice Kennedy: 14 days
-- Justice Stevens: 10 days
-- Justice Powell: 12 days
-- Chief Justice Burger: 11 days
Who ran the Senate Judiciary Committee in 1990? Joe Biden. The vitriol that became part and parcel of recent Supreme Court confirmation hearings can be traced directly to Biden who, three years earlier, presided over the embarrassing confirmation hearing of Robert Bork that was a travesty for too many reasons to list here. If Trump wins all the historically red states, plus NC and FL, but loses ME-2, that puts him at 259.
Trump then wins if he wins PA, MN, MI, or WI.
I am ignoring the issue of Dem governors in red states. If we are going to play that game, then we would be worrying about KY. I don't have the mental energy to game out combinations like NC, GA, and FL.
It is just easier to view the results like a tide. Certain level of "redness" pushes up onto the beach and covers more territory. If there is enough to cover FL then it also covers NC, GA, KY, etc etc.
The next question is if there is enough to win a historically blue state, and Trump only needs one of them.
If Trump can't win FL and NC, then there is no point in even worrying about any of this. The election is lost already and we are just chatting among ourselves for no reason.

Me, I don't care about debates. We're electing a president, not a debater. AFAIK, debates weren't a big part of presidential campaigns until the second half of the 20th century, with only a couple notable exceptions.
