"Unconscious Bias" And "White Privilege:" Two Sides Of The Same Anti-Freedom Coin

Most people who work for large American corporations have been dragged (sometimes kicking and screaming) into some sort of seminar or class or program explaining how all of us {well, middle class White people mostly) are irredeemably racist or sexist or classist or religionist(?), and only by admitting that we have a problem can we begin to atone for our evil.

It was suggested to me recently that I have unconscious biases, and I refuted that by pointing out that like most sentient beings, I am aware of my biases, and that the idea of an unconscious bias is a political one rather than philosophical or emotional.

It is, along with "White Privilege" a tool of the Left to subjugate those who have built Western culture. It is nothing more than a thought crime, and Stalin and Mao and Pol Pot would be proud of the way their minions have hidden their ideas within a post-modern structure of verbal obfuscation and liberal guilt.

But don't take my word for it...just read "Psychology Today," and their absolutely moronic and illogical takes on those two concepts.

What Is Unconscious Bias (And How You Can Defeat It)

Speaking of illogic, here is a paragraph describing some of their evidence. it is factually incorrect, and it also assumes motives that simply do not exist.

Black Americans suffer from police harassment and violence at a much higher rate than white people, people do try to defend the police by claiming that black people are more violent and likely to break the law than whites. They thus attribute police harassment to the internal characteristics of black people (implying that it is deserved), not to the external context of police behavior.

Weapons-grade nonsense, yet that is the default position of the left, the media, and a far-too-large slice of America.

But wait! Here is a discourse on "White Privilege" that is even more ridiculous and silly. You might have a hard time understanding what the fvck this idiot is trying to say, but as an example of circular reasoning and flaccid thinking it's a solid entry in the Idiot Sweepstakes.

Ten Things Everyone Should Know About White Privilege Today

Racial-minority privilege exists and serves an important function.
I'm not saying that it is equivalent to white privilege — the power differential alone makes that impossible — but there is such a thing as racial-minority privilege. In marginalized spaces (also called counter spaces), this means that people of color generally have the privilege of speaking about race without having their point of view challenged solely on the basis of their racial identity or racial appearance. I'm not complaining about this or wishing for something different, though I've certainly been challenged in just this way. To the contrary, it makes sense to me that marginalized spaces have barriers to entry for the non-marginalized, as well as the fact that those barriers have to be negotiated over and over again by those not part of the racial minority in-group. These barriers allow the counter spaces to, at least occasionally, serve as safe havens for marginalized groups — a place where members of those groups can express themselves more freely and with a higher likelihood of receiving acceptance and validation of their experience and point of view. Not that such acceptance and validation are guaranteed (safer havens, is probably more accurate). Like white privilege, racial-minority privilege is also relative. The presence of colorism and internalized racism within many racial minority groups also sometimes contributes to the devaluing of certain voices, as does the intersection of racial-minority privilege with gender, class, sexual orientation, and other forms of privilege and oppression.

Huh? So "White Privilege" is bad but Non-White Privilege" is good?

This is nothing more than the careful destruction of Western culture and philosophy, and it is masterfully constructed by the descendants of the original Frankfurt School. It is the most powerful tool in the communist arsenal, and they wield it with surprising success.

Thought crimes are all they can accuse us of, because the data show a starkly different America than what they want. And the sad part is that many Americans are all too willing to convict themselves of these imaginary crimes...the left doesn't even have to work that hard.

16 I studied critical theory a lot in grad school, and it's as bad as you say it is. We of course did not realize it at the time bc the schools never teach you where it comes from or what its purpose is.

Same here. Not one stick of white privilege in my upbringing. I was raised trailer trash in a run down trailer park. We had nothing and then my parents got divorced and my mom moved us into the only place she could afford right in the middle of the big city ghetto.

Got my a$$ beat by blacks almost every day until I said enough and started returning the favor.

Got out of there the second I graduated High School and joined the Army and never looked back. Did 22 years in the Military and another 10 in Civil Service. We are not super rich but we have more money than we need.

And we did it all with ZERO white privilege of any kind. Every kid I went to High School with had the exact same opportunities that I did no matter what color they were.

My sentiments as well. I hear all the crap about "we need more school funding!" and "these children are being left behind!" but I went to public schools that were 50/50 white black in a small town. No private schools (there had been one, but it closed). I've done fine because I made it a priority to educate myself and not depend on the school system to do it for me, but there were plenty of opportunities and resources there for any student with the motivation to utilize. They had the same chances I did.

Short answer, yes. If there was no advantage, nobody would be doing it. Period.

Further, there's a theory that much of what becomes the cultural norm, bubbles up from below, not from above. So... as music and art and fashion and all other forms of entertainment are becoming more and more saturated with "minority voices," the tipping point is coming... or has come.

Even book publishing, to carry on a theme. The industry has been a vast wasteland of insipid nonsense for so long now, as people start to self-publish, and/or smaller houses emerge, other voices are being heard. These voices are.. hey what's this, often white males! Gosh, white male authors... what a novel concept.

He is going on and on about the flies and the squalid conditions that the natives live in and extolling the marvel of the Italian's logistic system. He is of the opinion that the people will be far better off once the Italians conquer.

I could not help but think what I am reading was both true and wrong. And it struck me that that might be how future people will react to posts like this. It might be true, but it is wrong and better off not expressed.

The will to complete personal autonomy - their definition of "freedom" - has now gone even beyond biology, all the way to logic itself.

MT seems to be their seat of choice this week. Besides donating $, they offer to send postcards to local voters, which I find particularly odious. I went to a union meeting in which our president asked us not to post anything but fluffy kitty videos and innocuous comments on our PERSONAL social media until at least after the election. People are looking for staff's personal accounts in order to find bad-speak. My ears pricked up when she said it wasn't locals; we live and work in Trump Country.

No, it's organized cancelling by people outside the area. The current situation is being dealt with and kind of hush-hush, but as an example, the union president used posting "Trump isn't such a bad president; here's why:"

It makes me so damned mad to think about some strangers using our openness about who we are in order to harass us.

Republicans need to confirm RBG's replacement, and move on ASAP.

We all remember the nonsense in during the Kavanaugh nomination. Any delay on our side just gave the Left the excuse to amp up the pressure to accede to their demands.

Once Kavanaugh was confirmed, however...poof. All dissent vanished.

I heard Tom Cotton on FOX News Sunday this morning. He could have been a little more articulate in telling Wallace the very many ways he and the Dems (BIRM) could pound sand on this issue, but he got the point across that this is getting done.

BTW, I'm still a little steamed that my Trump/Pence sign was taken from my front yard less than 48 hours after I put it out there.

A police officer stopped by our house this AM, and he said that five other homes have reported their Trump signs being disappeared or vandalized. Biden/Burn Loot Murder/Hate Has No Home Here signs, of course, are untouched.

I guess that I'll be making more contributions to the Trump campaign. Bigger signs, and maybe even a banner or flag for the house this time.

I'm aware of a couple of others, though not as part of a movement sort of thing.

The first was a guy who pretended to be a minority in order to get his poems published in compilations. He had come to the conclusion that presenting himself as black would increase the likelihood that his poetry would get selected for inclusion in poetry books.

The second was a political candidate running for a minor office (possibly trustee for a local city college, or something like that, though I don't recall the specific one). He never outright claimed to be black. But he was very careful never to use any pictures of himself on his campaign literature, and to make sure that there were lots of images of black people on that same literature. The idea - and he confirmed it - was to convey the impression to the readers that he was black without actually lying about his ethnicity.

My guess is that that was PG County, adjacent to DC. It was a white working class area until the 80s-90s, then as DC started gentrifying, blacks left DC and went there. People have been trying to kill GoP legislators since Trump took office. Scalise is just the only one that came close, so it's the only one that we know about. Sen. Paul was put in a bad way as well, though I suspect that the intent there wasn't outright murder (note that I'm not excusing what happened in any way).

I suspect that when the Secret Service archive for this period of time are declassified decades from now, that there will be records of a *lot* of attempts that were quietly and efficiently dealt with, and that never made the news as a result.

I agree that not all black people or other groups want whites genocided. But I do believe that the majority if given enough power and cover will support it. The ones who dont will meet the same fate as whites or will have to shush and keep quiet. I base this on the left telling Americans through many media and formats that whites are evil.
