The Morning Report - 9/11/20

wtcpre911.jpg

Good morning, kids. Friday and 19 years ago today nothing would ever be the same again. Many things became crystal clear that day and among them the fact that the Democrat Party was no longer the loyal opposition but the opposition. Today, it is starkly evident that they've gone even beyond being the opposition. In point of fact, they are the enemy. The smoking wreckage of the Twin Towers juxtaposed side by side with that of Minneapolis, Kenosha, Portland, Seattle and a dozen or so other urban areas are physically quite similar. In terms of how the wreckage was created, they are virtually identical. Two parallel totalitarian political ideologies, one dreamed up 1,500 years ago by a pedophile with delusions of deity who promised paradise in heaven if his followers created hell on earth, and the other some 1,300 years later by a filthy, self-loathing layabout and his wealthy mark that sought to create paradise on earth even if it killed everybody. Look at the flags, look at the symbols, listen to the rhetoric; if you squint your eyes and ears, they're practically identical. And make no mistake; they are for the time being joined at the hip and working together to lay us low, forever.

What we are facing is as old as humanity itself; good versus evil. Admittedly, it's an imperfect good. But make no mistake that the evil is 100% perfect. Always has been, always will be. As the saying goes, what doesn't kill you makes you stronger. I wasn't there and I mean no disrespect for the dead or even those who survived. But in a visceral sense, a part of me died that day. And over the years, especially the last four, things have come into much sharper focus. People you thought were friends and allies have revealed themselves as enemies, and the people you knew were enemies have devolved into mortal nemeses. This is not something I desired. And considering the legal, ethical and moral boundaries that the latter have completely disregarded in their lust for power, it is they who are solely accountable for the insanity of this past year and should, G-d forbid, we cross a point of no return come November, whatever follows after that.

Lastly, I will pause later to remember a classmate, Kathleen Moran, whose life was cut short at 42 because she just happened to have an 8:30 meeting at AON up on the 105th floor of the South Tower.

* * * * * *

And the beat goes on, as...

- Despite the fact that they were caused by a toxic mix of stupidity, insane government policy banning controlled burning and outright arson, the Democrat-Media Complex continues to blame "climate change" for the wildfires out west.
- Another mostly peaceful act of terrorism as cops nail the subhuman thug who attempted to torch a GOP women's club.
- University of Rhode Island prof justifies and lauds the stalking and murder of an unarmed Trump/cop supporter in Portland.
- Jamaican jerkoff Kamala Harris insists the rioting and mayhem must continue.
- Hacks-in-black derail effort to clean up ballots in Texas and order Trump admin to count foreigners in the census. Time for the President to ignore the rogue judiciary and do his Constitutional duties unimpeded.
- Trump with a raucous and huge rally in Michigan rips Biden a new one for selling out American jobs to China.
- Democrats in lockstep kill Chinese Lung AIDS relief bill in the Senate, and it's probably dead until after the new year now.
- LA health apparatchik keeping schools closed until after the election. They're not even hiding what this is all about now.
- Farsis looking to fix elections for Biden.
- Grandma Pelosi has a gran mal seizure. Again.
- Another surprisingly good economic metric, while NYC circles the drain.
- Just a reminder that Jeffrey Goldberg lied about Al Qaeda being linked to Iraq even as the WTC was still smoldering.
- Netflix defends child-porn Cuties by calling it "social commentary against child porn," which is sort of like calling methadone a cure for heroin addiction.
- XiNN interviews the CEO and asks zero questions about it.
- The NFL's skin-suit is now maggot infested and rotting.

Lots of other stuff. Enjoy the weekend.

16 I have a friend that worked for Marsh McClennan and he commuted in from Jersey to the WTC daily. He missed his usual train and arrived late - pulled into the station just after the first plane hit so he just exited and left.

He showed me a picture of where his desk was in the WTC - it is EXACTLY where the first plane hit.

That sounds like a BS story but its true.

I logged back in one day out of curiousity as they never really delete an account. I found someone had been using my account and charging it with Brazilian Reals. I called them of course but they were so inane I dropped it. Of course I killed the credit card.

Netflix is shaky as hell and their support form who knows were sucks. It amazes me so many think of it as a big deal.

They were wishcasting.

It showed, in clear terms, the differences between rural and urban America. It showed the willingness of globalists in both parties to implement a domestic police state.

It showed how American political and military leadership simply refuse to combat a direct threat - militant Islam in that case - in favor of a myriad of other agendas. It showed how deep the rot went in the American system of government. It showed me that the US isn't simply unable to respond to an attack. It's worse - we're unwilling as a populace.

61 Some electoral math for the morning:

If Trump wins the historically red leaning battlegrounds of FL, OH, NC, and AZ, then he is sitting at a base of 259 EVs. Given the state of campaigning right now, it looks like he is winning in all 4. We have either seen polls that indicate he leads in those states, or neither campaign is spending money there.

To be cautious, I don't know what is going on in OH. But in 2016 it wasn't a hard win for Trump, so seems likely he is winning it.

With Trump at 259, that makes Biden's path very narrow. PA (20) is a must win. Same with MI (16). If he loses PA or MI he loses period.

Also he probably loses if he loses WI (10) or MN (10). That gives Trump 269, and NH (4) or ME-2 (1) puts him at 270. Also if it goes to the House with a 269-269 tie Trump probably wins because more states have Republican majority delegations.

Biden has to win all four states to win the election. Without flipping one of OH, FL, NC, or AZ he has an extremely narrow path to victory.

I think that the current actions of the candidates show that this scenario with everything hinging on PA is the current ground truth.

As always, something could change. We are still 2 months out and haven't had the first debate.

77 18 One of the things I remember most clearly is how Democrats pretended to love America and other Americans for about two days before switching right back to their default position.
___________________

And just 7 years after 9/11, they were nominating for president an America-hating radical who refused to even utter the words "islamic terrorism" and who rationalized the 9/11 attacks as just the understandable lashing out of folks who were frustrated by lack of jobs and educational opportunities.

And a majority of American voters elected that punk-ass muzzie-apologist president twice, to our eternal shame.

80 I think more people died in NYC on 9/11 than in the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor.

After Pearl Harbor, the US rose as one to lead the defeat it's enemies in about 5 years. FDR defined victory as unconditional surrender of the axis powers and committed the entire US economy to that effort. 20 years after that we were putting people on the moon.

After 9/11, the US rose as one to topple the Taliban, then splintered as we began losing lives and taking casualties in Afghanistan. Bush never defined victory and 19 years later we're still losing lives and taking casualties. On top of that, we're talking about civil war.

81 70 I'm sort of fascinated by the switch to traditional campaigning.

In 2016 Trump was like, 'yeah, gimme a microphone and a funky beat and I'll beat the hell outta Crooked.'

In 2020 he's building a ground game, voter outreach, opening offices in black neighborhoods, and door knocking at amazing levels.

It's almost as if he wants to win.

Which reminds me....when do we get the stories that Trump doesn't really want to win reelection? Soon?
Posted by: MJ at September 11, 2020 07:49 AM (gAMkn)

==========

His success in 2016 was just simply a huge surprise. He never really got the sort of traditional campaign structure nominees get. He brute forced the election with media exposure. Maybe it's one reason why the left couldn't counter him. He was coming at them sideways and they didn't know what to do.

Well, he still has that advantage (the news is almost always about Trump and almost never about Biden), but he also has the advantage of a more united Republican Party behind him than Biden has of the Democratic Party.

He's going to ride that.

As has been noted before, in 2016 Trump had a single part time staffer in MN, and he lost by about 1.5%.

He's had dozens of full time staffers in the state for months this year.

87 It showed me that the US isn't simply unable to respond to an attack. It's worse - we're unwilling as a populace.
Posted by: English Lycanthrope

The populace was willing. The "leadership" and the media and others channeled that energy away from its righteous target in ways that fit its own agenda. Not enough people understood what was really going on back then, so it was child's play. The Obama years changed that, and it's accelerated since.

108 Pearl Harbor and the aftermath shows what can be achieved if the government has the will, the US Army at that time was drilling with wooden mop handles, because they didn't have rifles. Within four (4) years! America was producing myriad planes, trains, battleships, and fighting a two front war, supplying the rest of the world with food and a gazillion other necessary accouterments to fighting, while inventing nuclear weapons on the side. Congress hasn't made formal declared war since then, in 1941.

Fast forward to the Jihadist who shot up Ft. Hood - just one example among so many - some asshat General opined after the slaughter "Well I hope this doesn't interfere with Our Commitment to Diversity".

We still haven't heard who set fire to the USS Bonhomme Richard? Remember that? Went down the memory hole, it did. That thing is totaled.

When the second plane hit, my husband and I knew. WE didn't have a tv at the time and listening to it on the radio was pretty scary, too. It increased with each report of a weaponized airplane. We didn't know how many more planes like that were out there or where they'd strike. I cried when the first tower fell.
I had friends who had meetings at the WTC that morning which were postponed. They had survivor guilt for years.
All the funerals in the city, day after day. All the flyers with pictures of people who'd never come home, posted at hospitals and bus stops. The acrid smell in the air that blew in from the south. The slow parade of traumatizeed, dust and ash covered people walking home. The rescue miission of all the boats in the city, ferrying people away from downtown...

159 I was there on September 11th and survived. I remember a lot of the horror. It didn't bother me at the time, I was more focused on saving lives. But it did creep up on me in the years after. I suppose such is the nature of war and tragic encounters.

What I remember most is the comity. The willingness to sacrifice for you neighbor. To comfort them, help them, carry them, calm them, protect them. The focus on our shared values as a nation, protecting our principles, ensuring proper retribution so our nation could live on. So our children could prosper and live free in the future. So we could survive and endure into perpetuity.

Now that's been erased by Democrats. There is no comity or unity, only grievance peddling, blame, violence, rioting, unreasonable demands, a call for less freedom, more government and crushing anyone who doesn't agree with you.

The nation is now being held hostage by a different set of Democrat Party led terrorists. They wear masks, burn our cities, ruin people's livelihoods, assault people who don't agree with them, cause mayhem, call for the destruction of our economy in the name of their cause. They seek to destroy America and they've proven it. They have spent years illegally undermining our president, leaking, lying and subverting the democratic process. They now roam the halls of Congress preaching division, destruction and political victory at all costs, the nation be damned.

This isn't a country I recognize anymore. It more resembles some of the foreign places we fought in since September 11, 2001. It's tribal, divisive, ugly and bludgeoned by people with nothing but their own political ends in mind.

In response to the September 11th attacks, we kicked off a military campaign. By October we were in Afghanistan executing a response. It's about time we responded to Democrats terrorism against our nation, our communities our people. That should start on November 3rd and never cease until their shock troops destroying our communities, their leaders roaming Congress and their acolytes occupying our local government are gone. The survival of our republic depends on it.

It all brings clarity to the meaning of those yard signs that read "I AM SOOOOOO GOING TO VOTE".

I have been confused as to what impact adding "SOOOOOO" to the message provides since allegedly eligible voters get to cast the same number of votes of those who aren't "SOOOOOO" going to vote.

Apparently the number of "O"s in SOOOOOO are an indication of how many fraudulent votes they have pledged to cast.

Red states that have Trump coattails and pick up Dem seats: AL

Assuming that Trump turn out in MT, IA, NC, and AZ is enough to hold the red seats there that means Dem +1 in the Senate and the GOP holds it barely. Of these states the one I question most is McSally in AZ.

The fans knew they were going to do some BLM bullshit yet they bought tickets, drove to the stadium, paid parking, bought concessions, bought jerseys, filled a seat for the tv cameras, gave a token "boo" then cheered like hell and posted "FOOOOOTTTTBBOOOOOOOLLLLL" all over FB.

JJ Watt is an entertainer. He sees his city has gone full on Lefty and thinks that is the play. The problem is Houston has shown they rarely go full on for a pro sports team. You need the rest of the state. The Astros had their problems for years and now they are just oh so popular. The Oilers left town with no one giving a crap. Compare that to the Cowboys or any other serious team. No way would they get tossed from their town.

236 I was in high school when 9/11 happened. It was before classes started (Mountain time zone). My high school had TVs in every classroom, and they were centrally controlled. The administrator on duty in those pre-class hours made a PA announcement about a "disaster in New York City" and they turned on all the TV sets, tuned to news coverage. As people filtered in, it stayed eerily quiet until the towers started coming down.

We got nothing done. The entire school watched TV news coverage of the attack and its aftermath all day, virtually no one spoke and when we did talk, it was typically in hushed tones.

Four years ago today, a brave reporter, armed only with a cell phone, took a picture of Hillary Clinton being loaded into the back a van like a sack of potatoes after she attended a 9/11 memorial service at Ground Zero.

Sadly, THIS.

Marcus T, can't imagine what it was like to be in NYC on 9/11. We were in N. Virginia. After massive panic at the office where a lot of my colleagues had loved ones closer to the action (e.g. one's husband who was a SS agent, another's was military intel, another's gf was Fox news producer sent to report from National Mall). Made it home to Arlington, VA minutes before rt66 was shut down, and then hubby and I watched them airlift people from the still burning Pentagon. We sat on our sofa overlooking DC wondering if we'd witness another attack.

Correct, it will be overturned on emergency appeal.

However, the damage has been done and the ballots will be delayed which will give the democrats an opportunity to demand the State "extend" the date the State has to accept ballots until after the election, delaying election night returns in hope of vote fraud changing the results.

That will be the next lawsuit in the days after this is overturned.

Fans were treated to the song "Lift Ev'ry Voice and Sing" before the
traditional national anthem, the "The Star-Spangled Banner." The league
plans to have the so-called "Black National Anthem" performed live or
played via a recording before every Week 1 NFL game.
The Chiefs returned to the field for the release of the championship
banner and "Star-Spangled Banner." Chiefs linebacker Alex Okafor kneeled
for the anthem, raising a fist. The Texans remained in the locker room.

Treated to it comrades.

I agree with both of you - Dems in the House are supremely confident, Dems are also completely delusional and like all powers that start a war and go on to lose, they are jumping into things that will result in disaster for them. South Carolina, 1861, just for one example.

in their own way, the Dem leadership is being completely honest - compromise between the sides on anything is no longer possible. We're at the point where one side has to win completely, and one side has to lose. No other way out of this.

296 King Gregory I's proposal has three serious drawbacks:
1) what if you are a town that actually needs to contract the police force by a small amount? What if your town decided to shutter the police force just to try and save a buck, and instead decides to rely on SO protection, and everything is hammered out between the town and the county? There kinds of decisions DO happen and are legit (unlike what the whackos in Austin want to do).
2) Let Austin suffer. I say, let them entirely dissolve their PD, and let them live with the consequences. It's the only way they will learn. Once you stop the bailouts, people can and will learn.
3) King Gregory I does not want to be bothered by piffling entities such as the Legislature. He is busy wiping himself with the Texas Constitution. So this will never be enforced except for 140 days every two years. (But he'll sound like a tough guy so all the police unions will back him.)

________________

The majority of black NFL players live lives of wealth and privilege that are unimagineable to, and unobtainable by, the majority of white Americans.

And they do this in a country where it is primarily whites that buy the tickets and merchandise that makes their huge salaries possible. And in a country that literally tore itself apart to guarantee blacks their freedom and give them the same rights as whites, and in fact for decades now has given them even more rights than whites (e.g., affirmative action points, preferences in hiring and government contracts, etc.). And in a country where, despite rampant black criminality that far exceeds that of whites, blacks are not targeted by whites and actually have less chance of being killed by cops than white criminals do.

And these ungrateful assholes have the gall to stand before the nation that made their wealth and privilege possible, and claim that they're somehow "oppressed"?

301 Oh, and Sept. 11, 2001:

I was living in Denver and had been out of work and on UE for 2 months. Along with the job search, I was finishing a novel. That morning, I wound up the last scene, typed the words "The End," got up for more coffee, turned on the TV . . . and saw the smoking towers.

I wrote to an online friend of mine who lived on the Upper West Side, the lady I had visited with in Oct. 1998, and found she was okay (she worked in NJ but lived in Manhattan). And I checked with Miss Linda, who I thought might have gone back home to visit her mother in upstate NY -- and could have been visiting Manhattan that day. She was fine. So I knew no one who had been killed or injured or deeply affected.

But I could not shake the feeling that this was the way Americans must have felt when the news of Pearl Harbor broke.

The Wuhan Death Miasma, if left alone would have followed the Rule of 8 for influenza, but government HAD to screw with that and drag this out another month or so.

(Rule of 8 = Peak occurs after eight weeks, after eight months, the influenza reaches a "who cares" level.)

It is weird to note that vaccines usually were taken BEFORE a potential influenza outbreak so that people wouldn't get it in the first place, and after eight months the threat of that particular strain of influenza would be over and we would be teeing up another round of vaccine for the NEXT influenza bug.

Now, we go through the influenza and THEN take the vaccine for what we have already gotten and no longer perceive a serious threat.

This is so messed up now.

337 I was the duty officer on my boat in Groton, CT on 9/11. We were all torn up with ongoing maintenance. The CO/XO and Dept heads were all away at an enlistment ceremony and I couldn't reach anyone's cell phones.

So, for several hours I was alone and in charge during the chaos. People that I never heard of were calling me and asking what I needed to get underway and I kept having to tell them that I didn't my periscopes were removed and I had 2 giant holes in the submarine.

To top it all off, NAVSEA 08 (4 star Admiral) and COMSUBLANT (3 star) decided to visit my boat to asses security at the piers. When the topside watch announced them, I called him up to ask if he was f'ing with me.

When my CO finally made it back to the boat that evening, his face when I told him that the 2 Admirals stopped by was priceless.

342 Ev'rybody knows the left watches a whole bunch of football.

If you believe the Gallup poll, and I do, the Left is the only group remaining that doesn't despise corporate sports. And if you go to ANY sports themed message boards - the Left is in overdrive about how they won't stop watching football and won't miss anyone that does.

The Left does indeed watch in some capacity. Like I said - I think the NFL looked at the numbers, as well as their players, and made a decision. Cater to the majority of their fanbase - and the players strike. Cater to the players - and lose at least a third of the fans. Maybe more.

Contraction in five years. Either teams or salary cap. Probably both.

343 Let Austin suffer. I say, let them entirely dissolve their PD, and let them live with the consequences. It's the only way they will learn. Once you stop the bailouts, people can and will learn.

Is Austin was an island. But it is Santa Anna's capitol too.
While Texas doesn't have an income tax yet, I believe they do have business franchise taxes (which is essentially an income tax) and Rick Perry spent an enormous amount of money to attract Communists and Marxists into the area to get into the lucrative high-tech game.

One of the reasons why Austin didn't catch-up to Silicon Valley is that Texas wasn't able to attract the necessary Venture Capital. Things like SXSW and other outreach programs were effective and was bringing in the growth until Austin decided to criminalize Uber/Lyft, unleash bums, vagrants and drug addicts on visitors and residents to the city, shut down any reason to come to Austin, and now the city council just wants to set the whole area on fire.

They call it Sodom of the South for a reason. The son of Santa Anna needs the revenue that is generated by Austin, and as a coward and feckless politician he is probably scared that his wheel-chaired carcass couldn't flee the mobs.

They know - every NFL owner has seen that Gallup poll. I think this
is triage. They're accepting a much, much smaller fanbase, are going
to cater to them, and then ride this out and hope for the best.

Everything they've done to this point makes sense - if they've
written off half their fanbase AND accepted that the players will walk
out today if not allowed to make a public display.

The NFL will either contract teams or the salary cap in the next few years. I'm pretty sure of that now.

this is well said and accurate. The have the tiny chance we will all get woke and pray to their Gods. But mostly this shows the inmates are running the asylum. Guys that focused only on football their entire lives are now in charge.

These guys didn't study history or physics. They studied basket weaving and still did not graduate. I am not trying to ruin them, they were stand outs at what they really went to college for. But now we have players who are way more important than the coach, Tom Landry and Chuck Knoll would be shocked by this.

I agree, the NFL has decided to be a niche league. The irony is they are chasing the wrong demographic. Lefties and libs don't care about the NFLand certainly not the MLB. Last night I was watching the horror movie "Zombie" from 1979 on Shudder.

It begins with an abandoned ghost ship sailing into a modern harbor.

We see the skyline and immediately know it's NYC.

The Twin Towers stand tall, an American monument to commerce, capitalism, and a brighter, better future for all, even dwarfing the old NYC skyline and the American accomplishment son the past.

It was a bit of a shock seeing those Towers as they were smashed by the enemies of all things American, and released those enemies abroad and at home to feel free to to devour our culture, our economy, our history, our lives by the slobbering zombies of islam, marx, racism, hatred,

as surely as that ghost ship was about to released a fictional plague upon the modern world.

In 1979, that juxtaposition between diseased ship and vigorous, modern America was merely an artistic affectation to begin a movie,

in 2020, nineteen years later, we stand with our backs against the wall because we didn't fight the zombies of old tiresome hate-filled philosophies like islam and marxism.

This all went through my mind as "Zombie" started.

It spoiled the picture for me, so I turned it off.

You know who was doing the "I am a queen!" stuff years ago?

Sheila Jackson Lee.

There was a news story 10+ years ago about what a horrorshow she is, and one of the examples was how she terrorized one airline so regularly (almost every Friday night when she flew home to TX) that they told her to choose another airline. She has her staff book three flights, then shows up right before the flight she's decided to take is set to leave, and screams at the airline staff about her seat not being available -- that they must fulfill her demands because "I AM A QUEEN AND WILL BE TREATED LIKE A QUEEN!"

Posted by: J.J. Sefton at September 11, 2020 09:17 AM (s2VJv)

don't even go there as minds will be blown. The last time I checked, the World Slavery Index said there were more slaves today than in the entire antebellum South. Where are the protests for them? I would gladly offer some money and even time if i could end real slavery.

One thing that sticks out to me today are the immigrants who did it right. A lot of them have to be thinking " I risked everything for this?" Trust me, we feel the same way.

395 They've gotten more strict with us and are now enforcing the visiting hours (11am-7pm) which we've taken that as a good sign too LOL. Only one person is allowed in the room at a time so we just keep rotating through in a constant flow. Each time I'm in there I tell him that there is an army of people from all across the country praying for him, whose names we will never know, but for whom we will be forever grateful.

We're not out of the woods yet, but we are definitely getting closer. Please tell all the wonderful Morons and 'ettes how much I appreciate their prayers and to please keep them coming."

400 >> I haven't seen anybody mention it here yet, but the story of Welles Crowther, aka the man in the reda bandana, is a great story to help explain 9/11 to your kids. His sister wrote a kids book about him, and i read it to my kids every year. He was such a true hero and leader, and I hope we still have men like him in our country.

I will check that out - just saw him mentioned in the NYC ceremony.

Years ago my son started spouting 9/11 truther stuff (when he was in elementary school!), apparently Seth whatshisname puts a lot of 8/11 jokes in the Family Guy , etc. It was disturbing, particularly since we experienced the Virginia side of it on that day. In my quest to nip that truther stuff in the bud I found that there's an graphic novelized version of the 9/11 report. Probably not a bad resource for older kids in understanding what happened.

*One of the 2 Denver PBS stations used to air "Loose Change" Truther documentary almost daily.

439 Is Austin was an island.

Here's the thing. Austin was, and to a large extent still is, anti-growth. They did not want to ever be a city with 800,000 people. They were cool with it being a city with even a quarter that. The problem is, the people churned out by the Communist/Marxist institution, UT Austin, decided to stay. (Gov Rick Perry had little to nothing to do with this. By the time he entered the governor's mansion the train had left the station long before.) So therefore the cancer grew and was largely home-grown, due to the professors and the environment at UT Austin.

The techies have long inhabited that city - Austin in 2000 was reminiscent of Houston 1982, when that city was clobbered by the oil bust. The tech bust of 2000 hit Austin hard but it soon recovered, and grew to what it is today - with virtually no upgrades to infrastructure (though TXDoT is changing that, a little, anyway).

Austin may not be an island but they need to pay the price for their bad behavior. (And the idea that DPS should patrol Austin once they dump their cops? Fuck that. DPS can protect state buildings like the Capitol as that is their role anyway but beyond that they can let Austin burn.) The state should not have to pay for Austin wanting to commit suicide - state capital or not.
