The Morning Report - 7/14/20

angelcuom.jpg

Good morning, kids. Happy Bastille Day. Considering what we're going through perhaps invoking the French Revolution is not so much ironic as it is ghoulish (which sounds a bit like "goulash" [cough-Soros!-cough]). As far as the politically-motivated mayhem in the wake of the unfortunate May 25th Minneapolis incident, the only real hotspot that remains is in Portland, OR where there has been rioting and violence for 45 consecutive days. Yet it has not made the headlines which is rather odd considering the Democrat-Media Complex was cheering it on from the outset. Actually, it's not that hard to figure out. It's been a political disaster for the Left and because President Trump resisted the temptation to interfere, the Left owns it lock, stock and barrel. The unofficial campaign slogan of "jobs, not mobs" is resonating big time, and the public knows which candidate stands for which.

From the Democrat-sanctioned and approved terrorism meant to destabilize and overthrow the nation to just plain criminality thanks to the movement to abolish the police (which also serves Democrats' political ends), New York City is experiencing a wave of violence that surpasses even the bad old days of the late 60s to late 80s.

...No borough was spared from the gunplay, but Brooklyn saw the most violence with 10 shooting incidents and a total of 12 victims, sources said.

"Those numbers would be high for a Friday or Saturday, but for a Monday they are astronomical," said one high-ranking Brooklyn cop.

... Monday's bloodshed followed a recent 15-hour stretch from midday Saturday into Sunday where another 15 people were shot in the Big Apple...

Of course, when Democrats are under the gun and can't blame Republicans, Conservatives, Thomas Jefferson, Jooz or global warming - the latter of course being the fault of all of the former - they lash out with complete inane stupidity. In other words, Donkey-Chompers:

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez's reaction to the surge of violence in the city she represents is dishonest, callous and naive.

"Do we think this has to do with the fact that there's record unemployment in the United States right now?" the progressive said in a town hall Thursday. "Maybe this has to do with the fact that people aren't paying their rent and are scared to pay their rent. And so they go out and they need to feed their child and they don't have money. So, you maybe have to -- they're put in a position where they feel like they either need to shoplift some bread or go hungry that night..."

When a man is shot dead in a drive-by, clutching the hand of his 6-year-old daughter in a crosswalk, it is not about going hungry.

Callous...

The recent surge in shootings and deaths coincides with the City Council pushing to take $1 billion out of the NYPD's budget, and the department itself disbanding the plainclothes unit that looked for illegal guns.

To AOC, when crime is down, the NYPD is overly harsh. When crime is up, it's the department's fault.

Naive.

AOC is furious that the NYPD's budget hasn't been cut more. "Defunding police means defunding police," she said in June...

And so it goes. The bubble-headed Bolshie of teeth and tits, along with most of her party, are ignoring the first rule of holes with all of this which I don't see any sign of abating, though you'll be hard pressed to read about or see it in any of the Leftist house organs from now until November 3rd.

The President not only continues to not interfere when his and our enemies are shooting themselves in the face, but his telling Minneapolis LOLGF in response to their demands for $500 million in riot relief for the destruction that they themselves caused was pitch perfect, politically and morally. With mass rioting, unleashing criminality on law-abiding citizenry and the cultural revolution building a bonfire Goebbels would be proud of turning off the electorate, what do the Democrats have left? Chinese Lung AIDS panic! Yes, as things are starting to open up, jobs created in astoundingly fantastic numbers (not so astounding since the "recession" was artificially created while the fundamentals of the economy remained sound) and the actual science proving beyond any reasonable doubt that this virus is and always only marginally more lethal than seasonal flu, the Democrats and propagandists are using the spike in cases to scare the public into thinking this translates into death and misery, when in fact the CDC itself all but stated the pandemic is over. All of sudden, Democrat governors and mayors - along with a number of complete asshole Republicans like DeWine of Ohio - are reinstituting lockdowns, ordering the citizenry to wear masks everywhere and refusing to open the schools come September. Nothing like more economic misery and mass psychological torture to win over voters, or so they imagine.

That brings us to the Governor of New York, Andrew "Angel-of-Death" Cuomo, whom the media are exalting as some sort of national leader and hero during this "crisis." Get ready to spit blood:

During a press conference on Monday, New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo (D) stated that President Trump's [Chinese] "COVID scandal makes what Nixon did at Watergate look innocent." And that the facts show that "Trump was wrong from day one and New Yorkers have been right from day one."

Cuomo said the federal government has "been denying the reality of the situation from the beginning. It doesn't exist. It's going to go away, by Easter we'll reopen, when it gets warm it will go away like it's a miracle. It didn't go away. There was no miracle. You denied reality. This is their political agenda over public health policy. That's what this is..."

"Nobody died in the Watergate scandal. Thousands of people are going to die in this COVID scandal and that is all the difference in the world. You look at the facts, the facts clearly demonstrate Trump was wrong from day one and New Yorkers have been right from day one. There's no argument. There's nothing to tweet about. The facts are in. The numbers are in. Look at the number of bodies. Look at the infection rate. New York's numbers have declined while the nation is going up..."

The gall. The actual, titanic, fucking temerity of this festering bedsore on the American body politic to say this just beggars the imagination. First, the President's downplaying the severity of the virus - considering all the facts that we now have - was actually prescient. The only mistake he made was listening to doctors and scientists whom he, like we, mistakenly assumed to be on the up and up in matters that can be life and death.

Second, this man (on paper) insisted on and ordered people who had the virus and were not asymptomatic to be housed in nursing homes among those who are at an age and condition where they can die from a common cold. The result was at least 7,000 needless deaths. Their blood is on your hands, Andy boy. You killed them.

Lest anyone forget, before he infected Albany with his mobbed-up "semi-homemade" incompetence, Cuomo was the Secretary of Housing and Urban Development under Bill Clinton. As such he was a major co-conspirator in causing the financial crash of 2008.

... In 1997, President Bill Clinton appointed Cuomo to replace Henry Cisneros as secretary of the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). In this role, Cuomo was instrumental in forcing lending institutions -- including the government-sponsored enterprises Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac -- to dramatically increase their approval rates for mortgage loans to undercapitalized minority applicants who failed to meet traditional borrowing criteria. (Many of these were subprime loans, which ultimately helped trigger the housing-market crisis of 2008.) At a 1998 press conference, Cuomo bragged about having reached a multi-billion-dollar settlement with a major lender, even as he acknowledged that many of the mandated loans would never be paid back...

"Nobody died in the Watergate scandal. Thousands of people are going to die in this COVID scandal and that is all the difference in the world."

Fuckin'-A right, bubba. Fuckin'-A right. Put that on your tombstone. Maybe one day, the Antifarians will pull it down and toss it in the Hudson River. Along with you right after it.

And you can take this Nick Cannon cancer along for the ride.

There's a somewhat recently erected statue memorializing a neglected slave burial site at the south end of Alexandria, VA. The statue is absurdly large for the purpose and, though I haven't seen it up close, looks like several liberated, agonized, writhing slaves holding a bronze ring of fire--it's probably a good 30 feet high.

I'm not sure what the title of the piece is: "Screaming Flame-Anus of Freed Wraith-Slaves" seems to capture the essence.

74 Re: "Her Princeton Thesis Reads Like A Cry For Help"

Every one who graduates from Princeton writes a thesis, basically a long paper intensely supervised by a faculty member. In writing hers, Michelle Obama did a survey of black alumni and found something surprising.

The idea behind affirmative action (and lots of social programs) is that forcing integration of Princeton will increase intermixing races generally. Obama's survey found just the opposite was true among the black respondents (she didn't survey white alumni). In other words, the more black kids were admitted and participated in life at Princeton, the less those folks liked what they saw.

77 Just on the local news: Signs of PPP fraud

The investigative reporter noticed that on the SBA list of PPP loads there were ~150 in MA in the $5-10 million range, so he started checking out the recipients. He spotlighted 3 in W. MA, and they were a tiny boutique (2 employees), a dental practice, and a massage therapy shop. All three were surprised to hear they were listed as getting such a big loan, and produced paperwork showing they had received far less (all under $100k). Interview w/CPA who assisted one of the shops get the PPP loan confirmed something is very off w/SBA listing.

So. . .where did all those millions go that were put on the books by the bank(s) as going to those tiny W MA businesses????

Think about huge this is likely to be, with 150 of these $5-10 million loans listed in just 1 state. . .

Great heavens, industrial R&D in chemicals in this country is being wiped out by the MBAs, "senior chemists" like me are unemployed and the ACS says nothing but THIS is what the concern is to them.

The American Chemical Society is an organization that extracts dues from industrial chemists to give awards to academic chemists.

I so look forward to your morning essays, they are so insightful, as well as informative and entertaining. I do have a request, however. Could you please give a "man in the street" synopsis of how different life in NYC is after the riots, and how Deblasio has changed day to day life? Like so many others, I love NYC, I'm really curious about the changes. So many cities are under duress, but the people who live in the suburbs of those cities are not really affected. NYC is different because you actually live in the city. Greg Gutfield was shocked at what the looters did to his neighborhood, and I wondered how it is for you.
I can't read the links you post because the news lately is overwhelming, but I do enjoy your essays! Thank you!

"When they were sent to the Mountains of Caucasus, they didn't have the power of the sun. The sun started to deteriorate them. So, they're acting out of fear, they're acting out of low self-esteem, they're acting out of deficiency, so therefore the only way they can act is evil," Cannon continued.

"They have to rob, steal, rape, kill and fight in order to survive. So these people who didn't have what we have, and when I say 'we,' I speak of the melinated people, they had to be savages, they had to be barbaric because they're in these Nordic mountains, they're in these rough torrential environments, so they're acting as animals, so they're the ones closer to animals, they're the ones that are actually the true savages," Cannon said in the video.

Now let's watch Cannon get a pass for this because he is an executive in Hollywood, involved an a variety of big shows.

And the kicker is that mandatory minimums and three strike laws were meant to equalize justice, it's not "systemic racism" that certain populations were caught up, it's that certain populations exhibit more criminality than others.

The uptick in crime and murders in NYC is not coming from populations fighting over control of the street corner curry distribution rackets.

Although the populations that traffic in curry have the same shitty voting patterns as those that traffic in chiba.

I think if ever there was a time to not go on like this and to start fighting back, this would be it. I don't see it.

My new general theory is that it was an accidental release of a virus that the Wuhan BSL4 was working on/studying, as BSL4 labs do.

China then used this accidental release to tamp down on internal unrest and clamp down on Hong Kong.
News started to get out that some serious shit was going on in China, China then decided fuck it and allowed the virus to get out.

Our IC being the complete incompetent shit holes they are, posited that it was a bio-weapon, freaking out the entire world.

The Deep State and Donks being the dirty rotten shit heels they are decided that they could use this "crisis" to bludgeon OrangeMan bad, and thus commenced the real op.

And here we are nearly 6 months later and the op shows no signs of ending and with cold and flu season less than three months away, this op will not end anytime soon.

Well, here's the thing.

We of the Middle and Working Classes believe in America.

We believe in its system of Elections to change and correct any problems even when they seem to be getting out of hand.

So...most people are keeping their mouths closed and preparing like hell to vote in Nov. And supporting their candidates with finance and labor.

Very few people aren't going to set their hair on fire without giving the system a chance to work.

Now, if the Democrats openly commit gross voter fraud *cough*Vote by Mail*cough* to win the election or use intimidation at the polls to depress votes or try to law fare the election to death, etc, etc -

then it's just possible we might enter Blazing Follicle Time.

We'll see.

re: Ohio mask order enforcement

It's an anecdote, but it made me smile anyhow.

I don't live in Cuyahoga Co, but do live in the next county south, in a township. I and my neighbors are surrounded by the City here (dope deal between the City and the township long before I moved here. Lucrative tax revenue facility a stone's throw from my front yard, etc) on direction and another rock to reach the City limits.

So, yesterday, I went to the closest gas station that sells kerosene and diesel (which is in the City limits). I went inside to buy something and not one employee was wearing. Heh. Most customers were wearing and continued to wear. I did not.

A ray of sunshine for my day, it was.

Bingo

The Bombard's Body Language woman did an analysis of Biden's behavior while swearing in Congressmen in 2014(?) - it went on for 40+ minutes - and it was creepy AF. He did the same thing over and over again, placing himself between the Congressman or Senator and one of his kids OR his wife, then groping, sniffing, whispering in their ear. Her assessment was this was a power move by him, a subconscious communication that he could grope their kids/wife and they couldn't stop him.

347 I don't buy it. That article, like too many others,
sees "religion" as meaning irrational subjective beliefs that just
happen to be protected by the Constitution. That's the Anthony Kennedy
view. And it will absolutely and certainly fail, being false.

Posted by: Eeyore at July 14, 2020 09:17 AM (LMs+g)

I'm not religious in the slightest. But I've become very pro-religion, in the Judeo-Christian sense. Because I've come to believe that religion really is the opiate of the masses - and most of the masses need it. Take away Judeo-Christian religion, and look at all the stuff the masses get into to substitute for it.

I don't care if religion is "real" or not - it obviously, at least to me, fills a void that for most needs filling. And religion fills that void in a manner that, if not benevolent, is at least not malevolent.

Where the Founders got it wrong, in my humble opinion, was not specifying Judeo-Christian religion. I know there was a wide variety of beliefs amongst them - maybe that was a bridge too far.

349 Back in the Dinkins era in NYC, the parks were full of homeless, permanently living even in the smallest parks. I remember Tepees as homes. The parks were unusable for the average NYC resident. Grand Central had an area of just homeless camped in that great building, on the main concourse. Most shopping areas had those roll down shutters, closed, looking like Iraq at its worse.

Police in New York City are investigating after a masked person
dumped red paint on a Black Lives Matter street mural painted in front
of Trump Tower.

Twitter user Oscar Vela posted a video of a person
who walked up to the "V" in "Black Lives Matter," took a can of paint
out of a paper bag and threw the paint on the mural, located on Fifth
Avenue. The person then left the paint can and ran off.

De Blasio responded to the vandalism on Twitter. "Nice try," the mayor tweeted, along with a picture of a Department of Transportation crew repainting the mural.

The Party Line is "wearing a mask protects others."

If this were a movie, the subtitle would be "Rise of the Peanut Allergic". By that I mean, those who fear (justified or not) demand the world and all people change to allay their fears.

"My child is allergic to peanuts, so you must ban PBJ sammiches from all those kids' lunchboxes!"

Having said that, Sessions was a good Senator in his day and Tuberville is a cipher. His campaign feels wonky to me. Maybe PDJT should consider swallowing his anger with Sessions and at least let the Alabama election play out without interference, or even consider changing to Sessions.
