I bought only one!

On a lark, because these things usually disappoint. But this one was worth the $5. Lots of sparks and sound and colors and best of all it went really high!

And really, how can you beat the name?

You can buy real 'splody fireworks that will put your eye out in Pennsylvania *only* if you can prove you don't live in Pennsylvania.

There are fireworks shops on the NJ border with two entrances. If you live in PA you may buy sparklers and Roman candles and other sissy things that fizzle.

If you promise to go to Connecticut before you blow yourself up you can have all the M-80s you want.

It's way too late for that, and that's a good thing.

Listened to the Sunday talk shows for all of about 30 minutes today. Couldn't tell, but they made no mention of Trump's speech at all. Probably the clearest indication that it was devastating to the Democratic cause, so they had to memoryhole it.

Also listened to Larry Summer talk on Bloomberg this AM. He's trying to damn Trump by telling us how he's failed in the WuFlu response, and we now have 100K new cases a day now. He says that the real number is probably 10X that - 1 million cases a day.

I think that's great news. It will turn out that the George Floyd protests and riots were just the thing to really spike the numbers (btw, the only thing that the MFM doesn't mention as a cause for the increase), and it's going to turn out that the disease has a .5% fatality rate - at best. The sooner that this comes to light, the sooner that we'll be done with the COVID panic. If this ends by August, the MFM will have nothing left to throw at Trump between Labor Day and Election Day.

I put him in his kennel and surrounded it with pillows. And provided music.

191 I sat on my deck at my house on Skyline Drive facing towards east Rapid City on Fri the 3rd and watched Marine 1 & Marine 2 fly overhead, heading for Mt Rushmore, just to the north of the house, escorted by two Ospreys. Two additional Ospreys flew a bit ahead, but to the south of the house. Easily recognizable!

We watched the president's speech on C-span. My wife, who's an immigrant from commie Romania, stood up and clapped & cheered afterwards.

Last night, I watched the best fireworks display I've seen in a long, long time put on by the people of east Rapid City and Rapid Valley.

Just thought I'd throw all that out there.

I recently read the "Preacher" comic, and decided to watch the show... some rather questionable editorial decisions by the show's writers, what they thought they needed to change.

Season 2, one of the characters is in hell. His cell has many many many others on the same wing of hell, and wouldn't you know it, Hilter is in the cell next to his.

I don't think I've ever seen anyone attempt to portray as sympathetically as this dumb show does.

Needless to say, Hilter does not at all appear in the comic. Why they thought they needed it here... well, Seth Rogan is one of the producers. I'm going with too much dope smoking.

Concur, though I just went with 2x12 atop cinder blocks.

Son and I would pick out many fountains of various sizes and burn times. And a bunch of visco fuse (in lieu of legit time fuse). Taught him how to cut a foot off, do a time burn, then rig up fuses so all the fountains ended together.

One thing about this: Going to the burbs and outlying areas is an invasion in the way that a 'demonstration' downtown isn't. More area for the group to spread out (and lose focus). Harder to maintain energy. Plus, you have to get all of your people there, and getting people close to their homes to join in a little looting is easier than transporting them to some place where there are no stores, so you also lose the ability to gin people up and get volunteers from the plunder they will be able to take.

These people are not too bright, but I wonder if the 'demonstrators' start worrying about every window.

I suspect the hard core organizers rely on "summer soldier" masses. When there is serious push back, they evaporate. Citizen push back seems to be lacking in urban areas. And it seems most activities happen where not too many people actually live. And cities are largely disarmed, so for those few who do live in an area that gets hit with an op, and the even fewer of those residents who would be inclined to push back, it's a very risky affair.
