What's interesting to think about is how many lives have been lost over all this. Just in the context of this study, 18% of those admitted into this hospital system were not given HCQ. That was useful for gathering this data, so is a sacrifice that serves the greater good. Things have been learned. And those are real people. This represents people who died, who could have been saved, but weren't. How many, in hospitals all over the world, have been denied HCQ, not in the interest of any useful data gathering, but just cause politics.
Two literally fraudulent studies retracted. There are another two studies, still published, which are horrible. Pressure is mounting for those to be retracted as well. One intentionally administered very late treatment, which defeats the point. Oh, you mean it doesn't work when you use it the wrong way, on purpose? And another tries to scare people with overdosing.
It's absolutely bizarre. And then they gaslight, acting as if any objectivity is tantamount to wanting people to die. Yes, people want to promote HCQ because they want to intentionally kill people because of all the money they aren't making off of it. On the other hand, remind me what your interest is again.
And they managed to control the whole discussion by simply associating Trump with HCQ. The people who are normally up in arms about evil corporations, health insurance and big pharma, suddenly they are totally cozy with Gilead and all the decision makers in government with financial interests to this debacle, etc.

So we had a nursing home with 152 cases. A specilaist from UTMB Galveston came in with HCQ zinc and Vit D. ZERO hospitalizations and 100% recovery. Average was about 72.

That AZ case appears to have been murder. The man and woman were having problems in their marriage, and she had threatened his life before. He was an engineer and very sensible (according to his friends), and not the kind of person who would voluntarily swallow fish tank cleaner. His wife was a loon, and it appears that she dosed his drink with the poison without his knowledge.

I think we all kind of knew that when the 2 weeks was first announced that it was bogus. In my case I suspected it but was willing to give them the benefit of the doubt. Once that was extended I now only have one mode: everybody is lying. I mean everybody, from the most local school board member all the way up to the feds, I assume I'm being lied to. I have always been skeptical of what I'm being told, but now I don't think any level of trust with anybody in government is ever coming back for me. If a lot of others share that opinion it is not healthy situation.

And there's an important, non-academic point here about the "expert" performance. The whole mitigation thing was a radical departure from standard practice, that is not considered a sound mainstream approach - and it failed. The epidemic is following exactly the classic, normal epidemic path.
It's not just a question of CDC et al being allowed to call the shots, when weighed against other considerations. It's the technical incompetence and recklessness them *in their own area of responsibility*.

Was explaining to my better third that at the CDC webpage I bookmarked numbers were "All deaths involving COVID-19" (~113,000 just now). "INVOLVING" is not the same as "DUE TO", or as you cite, "SOLE CAUSE".
Analogy I used is back when MADD was getting play the statistic cited was "alcohol related motor vehicles fatalities" in my home state. Not the same as "drunk driver caused fatalities". College proff used the example of a drunk passing out in the street and getting run over would be the former. He also said look out for PC questions on the driver's license exam... the PC answer was 50% of all fatalities are alcohol related. Actually it less than 10% we caused by drunk drivers.

Not every bed is an ICU bed either. And there are lots of reasons to be in ICU. And not every area is set up for infectious disease patients. So taken alone this is indicative of jack and shit.

What was important is get out the "29 y.o" detail, and find an ICU bed. (who knows if that particular bed had to have other non-standard equipment that was in short supply for other reasons)
If none of these were true, there probably would not have been an interview.

Just watched a short Peterson video. It is very common for the people that feel oppressed and abused build a a resentment that can lead to a right or a desire to strike before a real victim.
This is the same groupthink that allows a class of people to play the victim and then become ready for genocide. Walmart doesn't really care if you don't wear your mask wrong and get the flu and die as long as they can't be held responsible for that.
Sure there's been some overeager dingle berry who became the mask enforcer and kicked people out but they're easy to work around.
Me; You want me to wear a mask that makes it hard for me to breathe? I have asthma, one lung or heart trouble. Still gonna make me wear one? Okay. So I put it on walk 2 feet away and then take it off.
Nothing's going to happened because Walmart's done their due diligence and the employee's done what they were told and you walk around the store without a mask so everyone's happy.
No sense in calling out the fife and drum corp and a regiment of the Green Mountain Boys to make a big deal.
What you do do is make sure the GOVERNOR of your state who is the one who made this happen is never elected again and if you can't then shut the hell up about unfair and unfree it is.

When we finally were allowed to visit, outside, with masks, we were horrified at the sight of her. We thought she would die that night. We hired companions for 24 hour care; then hospice was called in. All too late. All sorts of staff were in and out of her ap't & the facility, but we, who have been isolating due to age & health, were "too dangerous" to admit.
She was dead a week later.
I know that the corporation running the facility were following the rules & avoiding lawsuits, but the sheer inhumanity of the situation for her was just awful. I will be haunted by this for the rest of my life.
