Much of that complex (foreign broadcasting) requires a housecleaning.
Only in America could we have taxpayer-supported int'l broadcasting that often undermines US policy and helps our enemies.
I think one firing, however, might be problematic. Not a board member, a staffer/subject matter guy. I don't know the merits, but many generally reasonable people think it's a big mistake, that the guy fired is exactly the kind Pack should be bringing in and promoting.

I have a friend in TX who is immuno-compromised. But does she stay at home and avoid going out in public? No. No she does not. She sent me pics of her Memorial day trip where she is gallivanting around, often without a mask, taking selfies, hugging people. But she is "celebrating" the mask order because, as she said, "it makes me feel like I won the lottery!"

They report the covid and treat you for it" Also, some he found test on the way in and the way out and report it twice. Had an elderly distant relative pass away in Ohio about 2 weeks ago. Longtime heart condition. Never tested for the Chi-Nah Lung AIDS and no symptoms but the doc put it down as the cause of death anyway.
Her sister was FURIOUS, because it's obviously a matter of trying to handi-vac all the Federal dollars that the hospital can get their hands on.
The death numbers are such bullshit.

Finally, he should have made the Senate go back to real Filibustering rules. You stand and talk until you drop. Then the vote takes place. If the freaking Senators are too old and decrepit to stand the strain? Resign and let the people vote in a new Senator.

Oddly enough, in many ways the Lt. Governor in Texas is more powerful than the Governor - The Lt. Gov also has the duties of Majority Leader of the Senate, and controls the passage of all legislation.
The Governor's slot used to be very weak, but Abbott is inventing a lot of new powers with these Executive Orders, something that no previous Governors have ever done. The Texas Rangers answer to the Governor now, so he's got his own little police force.

In Minnesota, the last Republican LtGov was also the Department of Transportation Secretary. The Democrat assholes made it so she had to take the lower LtGov salary, not the DOT Leader salary. Personally, I thought we should pay her both, since we were saving on all the benefits, medical and pension costs.
But that might set a bad precedent, where the Democrat Governor usually has a useless, but loyal party apparatchik that fills lots of diversity checkboxes as LtGov in Minnesota.

This is a neighborhood with over 300 houses costing between $200k and $350k in north Alabama.
I see people (I'm one too) giving people at the grocery store death glares when we see a Democrat bumper sticker on their cars here.

Neither one makes sense to me - if a cloth covering is inadequate at filtering from the outside, wouldn't it also be inadequate at filtering from the inside? One thing with those Hakko soldering stations. If you do a LOT of soldering, the newer blue/yellow units can be a bit unreliable compared to the old black ones. I had to replace a bunch of them for work because the techs doing repairs kept complaining that the temp kept fluctuating at the high end. The older units though, they're rock solid.
Oh, and when it's time to replace the soldering pencil (and you WILL have to replace it at some point), don't bother with the no-name knock offs, which will literally melt in your hand, because the heater element temp will zoom up to max at the drop of a hat and the plastic in the handle isn't exactly heat resistant. Go with Hakko pencils purchased direct from the company.
