Sefton: sefton at cutjibnewsletter.com | Why Yes, That Is A Pig In Flight! Judge Agrees With The Firing Of Political ApointeesMichael Pack's nomination was held up by McConnell and the "Republican" senate for far too long, but it seems as though Mr. Pack is making up for lost time. And, shockingly, an Obama-appointed Judge agrees that administrative decisions belong to the administration! Federal Judge Rules in Favor of USAGM CEO Michael Pack, Tells Fired Officials Decision Belongs "At the Ballot Box"Federal District Court Chief Judge Beryl A. Howell, appointed by President Barack Obama, ruled in favor of U.S. Agency of Global Media (USAGM) CEO Michael Pack, dismissing a request from Ambassador Ryan Crocker, Ambassador Karen Kornbluh, and Michael Kempner, former members of the dissolved Broadcasting Board of Governors (BBG) and replaced members of the boards of directors of plaintiff OTF, RFE, Radio Free Asia, and the Middle East Broadcasting Networks, and Ben Scott, a member of the board of directors of plaintiff OTF, to reverse Pack’s decision to replace them on the broads of directors of USAGM’s non-federal entities. Judge Beryl denied their motion, stating that they “have fallen short of making the requisite showings“ to rule in their favor on their motion for for a temporary restraining order and preliminary injunction. It's appointments like these that make me feel all tingly inside for President Trump. Is it happenstance or a plan? I have no idea, but Pack and Grennell and a few others are the ones to drain the swamp, and hopefully pave it over and build a shooting range. And a fundamentalist church. And a Proud Boys Club house. And the national chapter of Keep America Great. [Hat Tip: muggedbyreality] Comments(Jump to bottom of comments)1

Hmmm.
Much of that complex (foreign broadcasting) requires a housecleaning. Only in America could we have taxpayer-supported int'l broadcasting that often undermines US policy and helps our enemies. I think one firing, however, might be problematic. Not a board member, a staffer/subject matter guy. I don't know the merits, but many generally reasonable people think it's a big mistake, that the guy fired is exactly the kind Pack should be bringing in and promoting. It's nice to have wins like this, but the reason we're seeing them is that these are horrible, ridiculous claims that never would have been filed under any previous administration in United States history. The only point was to hope they could find a "Hawaiian Judge" who could give them some aid (that would be overturned) and allow them to go on causing trouble for a few more months.

They are only trying to delay. Sure they hope they'll get a win and get something tossed out but they're happy if Trump's agenda gets delayed a week, a month whatever.
Note how much he accomplished with everyone against him? What could happen if all the lawfare stopped and he got most of his agenda and his people passed and enacted. And this is what they're afraid of. It's like teachers over school choice vouchers. They actively openly seek to keep parents from selecting their childs school because they know they're in trouble if that reaches epidemic levels. They've tried with home schooling but there they were thwarted by people's laziness and/or lack of one being able to stay home and the 1st amendment. If a lot of people keep homeschooling due to the virus, watch those lawsuits jump against home schooling or other laws to restrict the practice. I think Abbott got himself stuck by putting all the burden on the Business community for enforcing Covid restrictions. This was his big game to say "oh government isn't going to require you to do anything" but he allowed counties and cities to fine businesses who didn't enforce it.
So I believe Big Business (his donors) raised Holy Hell with him and gave him an ultimatum, take this monkey off our back that you put there. And he was left with no option but to counter everything he had previously said and slap on the government mandate. Posted by: Tom Servo at July 03, 2020 04:33 PM (Kpl3J) 93

Willowed, for interesting discussion:
I wrote, "So many flicks today seem to have forgotten color. Everything is grayish, "grimy," as Ace put it, and dimly lit." ... replied: It's nihilism from the people who promised us "hope" but only seem to ever deliver misery. The thing I am really hating now about modern movies is they (in general) they don't show off beauty anymore. Especially female beauty. I mean even if a movie sucked they used to at least give you something to appreciate. Not anymore. Far from being glamorized, the women now seem to all be uglied up on purpose. Girl power? For all anyone wants to say about Tarantino, he knows how to shoot a lady. It's all a bit much with the armpit hair and the feet of course but see his treatment of hippie Margaret Qualley in OUATIH. The rear shot of her leaning in to Brad Pitt's automobile is pure cinematic feminine unafraid *chef kiss*. It's amazing how, after sleazing in our face for years, the creepy commies suddenly want to get all prudish and unisex. Excellent points. Gov also has the duties of Majority Leader of the Senate, and controls the passage of all legislation. The Governor's slot used to be very weak, but Abbott is inventing a lot of new powers with these Executive Orders, something that no previous Governors have ever done. Posted by: JAS at July 03, 2020 04:39 PM (2BZBZ) ---- In Minnesota, the last Republican LtGov was also the Department of Transportation Secretary. The Democrat assholes made it so she had to take the lower LtGov salary, not the DOT Leader salary. Personally, I thought we should pay her both, since we were saving on all the benefits, medical and pension costs. But that might set a bad precedent, where the Democrat Governor usually has a useless, but loyal party apparatchik that fills lots of diversity checkboxes as LtGov in Minnesota. The coronavirus might have mutated, making it easier to spread, according to the National Institutes of Allergy and Infectious Diseases Director Dr. Anthony Fauci. "The data is showing there's a single mutation that makes the virus be able to replicate better and maybe have high viral loads," Fauci said in an interview with The Journal of the American Medical Association on Thursday. "We don't have a connection to whether an individual does worse with this or not; it just seems that the virus replicates better and may be more transmissible." I feel annoyed at the people with Black Lives Matter signs, because I'd be willing to bet that most of them they know nothing about the organization itself, they like the slogan (""I'm a really compassionate person") and they are using it as t of virtue signaling and as a sort of talisman to protect their homes. If you don't have a BLM sign out it does not mean you think that police brutality is a o.k. or that Chauvin is a great representative of law enforcement.

Black Lives Matter is a Marxist organization trying to destabilize America. It would be like a sex trafficking ring called Kittens are Cute. There is only ONE house in my neighborhood with a political sign (Biden). No others what so ever. The next nearest house with another political sign (Doug Jone) is a mile away. After that, another mile and a half for a second Biden sign.
This is a neighborhood with over 300 houses costing between $200k and $350k in north Alabama. I see people (I'm one too) giving people at the grocery store death glares when we see a Democrat bumper sticker on their cars here. It's difficult to tell whether or not there should be more dem signage because of behavior like mine or the Republican signage is deliberately OPSEC removed. I'm still confused about the kneeling thing.
See, traditionally kneeling was a sign of subservience and obedience to a higher authority --- kneeling before the king, kneeling before the cross, kneeling in prayer before God. But kneeling before the flag or during the anthem is the opposite. It's a sign of disrespect and grievance-hate. Hmmm. I guess that's because you're supposed to stand out of respect, so kneeling is just an UNstand. So couldn't someone just disrespect the flag/anthem by, say, sitting on the ground? Or lying down and taking a little nap? Or doing a handstand? How come you have to kneel? Those of us who have problems with kneeling before secular symbols are going to have to figure this out in the New! Improved! America. The coronavirus might have mutated, making it easier to spread, according to the National Institutes of Allergy and Infectious Diseases Director Dr. Anthony Fauci. Which is the opposite of the CW, which is that masks don't protect you, but do protect others. Who did you vote for in 2016? Who will you vote for in 2020? Because it would give the entire game away. So many people have filed for fall home schooling in North Carolina that the website has crashed. https://tinyurl.com/f-u-teachers-union There are a lot of people out there who only send their kids to the gummint school because it's free babysitting. One thing with those Hakko soldering stations. If you do a LOT of soldering, the newer blue/yellow units can be a bit unreliable compared to the old black ones. I had to replace a bunch of them for work because the techs doing repairs kept complaining that the temp kept fluctuating at the high end. The older units though, they're rock solid. Oh, and when it's time to replace the soldering pencil (and you WILL have to replace it at some point), don't bother with the no-name knock offs, which will literally melt in your hand, because the heater element temp will zoom up to max at the drop of a hat and the plastic in the handle isn't exactly heat resistant. Fauchi hasn't seen an actual patient for over 30 years. He is a bureaucrat with a medical degree, and well versed in swamp methods and tactics. And at the same time, leading edge medical specialists like Dr. Steven Smith of the Smith Infectious Disease Institute (something like that - guy was on Laura Ingraham every other day for two months) in NY have treated well over a thousand patients, and have very specific ideas what to do. Based on their first-person experience, and being the leading infectious disease experts in the world about Covid, they sneer at Fauchi's foibles. Meanwhile, millions of newly infected don't even know they have it. And despite the false reporting because they so hate Trump, we know that there are effective treatments that will help most people. Heard immunity - what is that? The death rate of Covid, not the infection rate. Why are these different, and why is one ignored? Make sure your vitamin D is taken every day. Also, a dose of zinc. Much more effective than a mask. If you are way overweight, have diabetes or lung problems, then you need to quarantine. Or maybe lose some weight and quit smoking. Like nobody has ever said this before, right? Otherwise, live your life. But hey, why let facts get in the way of a false flag? There is a President to overthrow! Sources claim that US investigators want to contact former Epstein associate Clare Hazell (pictured left), who became the Countess of Iveagh when she married into the Guinness brewing family in 2001. Flight logs show her making 32 trips on Epstein's Boeing 727 between 1998 and 2000, including trips to his luxury homes in New York, Florida and the Caribbean (Maxwell is seen with Bill Clinton on the steps of the plane, inset; Maxwell and Epstein are also pictured right). It is not suggested that the Countess is suspected of any crime, but lawyers for Epstein's victims are already thought to have sought her out as a possible witness.

DJG, depends on the machine. The machine I own, Twilight Zone, runs off a computer board so it has lots of setting to fiddle with. Paragon I believe would have dip-switches than can be toggled - I know one thing that changes is how the Paragon scoop awards letters (random or sequential). Might also change whether or not hitting drop targets awards a Paragon letter. Basically on hard it's tougher to get the highest scoring bonus, which is spelling Paragon through the scoop.

472 Ft. Bragg in Washington state remains a mystery.
The state itself, will of course have to be renamed. Posted by: Mike Hammer, etc., etc. at July 03, 2020 06:11 PM (cGzEU) Isn't there a town by that name in CA, too? Posted by: Iron Mike Golf at July 03, 2020 06:22 PM (8C7+r) 512

We the people
in order to form a more perfect union establish justice ensure domestic tranquility provide for the common defense promote the general welfare a-and secure the blessings of liberty to ourselves and our posterity do ordain and establish this constitution for the United States of America Posted by: vmom -------------- One of the more astounding displays of stupidity on live TV. Rachel Maddow declares that "There is no such thing as the Preamble to the Constitution" Hmm. The video no longer available on Youtube, wonder why? Text: JOHN BOEHNER (R-OHIO.): This is my copy of the Constitution. And I'm gonna stand here with our Founding Fathers who wrote in the Preamble, "We hold these truths to be self-evident..." MADDOW (waving hands): Nnn, Constitution doesn't have a Preamble. Not. Nope. Stop it. Posted by: Mike Hammer, etc., etc. at July 03, 2020 06:24 PM (L47aO) 520

Southern forts had to be stood up quickly in the South because better weather and more land available for WWI training. Feds soothed local butthurt over Federal troops in the South by naming after Southern Generals.
It was just politics. Wasn't meant to honor them particularly. Also the traitor argument is machts nichts because Congress amnestied Confederates and they are all considered veterans of the US Posted by: blaster at July 03, 2020 06:27 PM (XaSia) 523

a suggestion, instead of saying that COVID is spread by oral-fecal route or fecal contamination, say instead that:
Covid is spread like Polio and intestinal flu is spread. Posted by: Kindltot at July 03, 2020 06:36 PM (WyVLE) 526
Good to know. Thanks. Actually town I grew up in Fort Lee NJ is also named for a Revolutionary General if I am not mistaken.
Posted by: Nevergiveup at July 03, 2020 06:07 PM (85Gof) The Lees of Virginia (there's probably a song in there someplace. Here a Lee, there a Lee, every where a Lee... ) were everywhere in the Revolutionary War. Posted by: Fox2! at July 03, 2020 06:38 PM (qyH+l) 527
Also, everyone was misdirected by the pneumonia, which appears to be due to deeply inhaled virus, like with the last bird-flue, instead of what they suspect now, that it is an over active clotting reaction plugging up the capillaries in the lungs as well as in the extremities (covid toe) with the pneumonia being due to a secondary infection.

Now that I have read that COVID-19 is spread by fecal matter, not spittle (unless you just ate an infected turd), it makes the Kung Flu Freakout more amusing - everyone wearing a mask due to the powers that be think they are too stupid to not touch somebody else's poo and not put their finger in their mouth. 's difficult to tell whether or not there should be more dem signage because of behavior like mine or the Republican signage is deliberately OPSEC removed.
But it is weird as hell to be this close to a POTUS election and have so few positions out and up. Posted by: BifBewalski - sinis est culus at July 03, 2020 05:11 PM (VcFUs) I'm east of the Parkway. Don't see many signs this way either. I think it's mostly OPSEC/INFOSEC. Posted by: Fox2! at July 04, 2020 02:59 PM (qyH+l) Processing 0.06, elapsed 0.0631 seconds. |
