STRUGGLE FOR LOCKDOWN LIBERATION Encouraging signs from patriots like Kristi Noem, Ron DeSantis and growing numbers in law enforcement who are refusing to "just follow orders," as well as continued state-sponsored terrorism from pigs like Nipsy Cuomo, Grinchen Whitmer and Jay Inbreed. Are we going to watch helplessly as an Idaho mother is cuffed in front of her kids for the crime of taking them to a playground while our jails and prisons are emptied? 4 ZOD.
Strange, but a couple of days ago I read some Zod-ism and heard it in a squeaky little girl's voice, sort-of like Mark Dice does with Stelter, and now I can't shake it. When Zod commands instead of thundering basso, I hear squeaky whatzername, Elmira from Tiny Toons. Changes everything. ![]()

My sister hasn't set foot out of her house in a month and a half. Has all her meals and groceries delivered. She told me last night she's never leaving her house again. Ever. Because she "doesn't want to die."
She says she can run her consulting business entirely from home. She can't and she knows it. My mom has to beg me not to tell my crazy sis that she leaves the house to do essential shopping because my sister goes ballistic on her. My sister sits around the house all day long watching CNN and MSNBC and glued to her tablet reading all the Doomer articles. She has completely lost her mind because she believes every word she hears from the only media she follows. My sister is not a Karen. She was not born a Karen and has never been a Karen. The MFM broke her. I had to tell her "I prefer to die on my feet, not on my knees" and hang up. "...as well as continued state-sponsored terrorism from pigs like Nipsy Cuomo, Grinchen Whitmer and Jay Inbreed."
Half-Whitmer announced yesterday in her press conference that there is likely another extension of the stay-at-home order coming. The new justification mantra is "second wave". The numbers are falling and people were waking up to this fact and thinking "why the hell are we still being told to stay home?" And just like that, they came up with something that does not rely on real world numbers, but goes back to "models". "Second wave". No words for the level of my disgust, anger and aggravation... "You tell me if what is going on right here and right now is not an extinction-level event. Because it sure as hell is. Tick-tock-tick-tock." You are so right and perfectly stated. I've been saying this from the beginning. My Army vet friend didn't believe me, bought the propaganda, told me this was a pandemic as never seen before in human history. Now he understands. I hope many more do. This is really the "final solution" event growing out of their four year campaign to destroy Trump. They couldn't take him down individually or by going after various associates and family, so they've decided to take us all down. Strangely, it may actually be easier. ________________ Meh, not buying that "second wave will be worse" stuff. These corona viruses morph and change quickly, and from all accounts the current one is doing that also. Yes it will still be around in the fall (and next spring, etc.), but chances are that it will be less lethal and much easier to shake off, much like the current version of the 1918 Spanish flu is today. Warning wall of text. Saw this posted on FB and I cna't attribute it or link to the original but it is...perfect:
I am going to try again to throw this out. I've typed it about twelve times and then stopped. It's so touchy. I am seeing so much anxiety about resuming business, and so much anger about continued regulations. People are feeling the need to catapult to one side or the other, then fight the opposition. Here's my perspective, from a mainstream medical model. I think a lot of folks have fallen into the idea that social distancing was meant to stop the viral spread. It wasn't-it was meant to SLOW it while we put medical infrastructure in place. It has worked. We have, in most parts of Georgia, not been overwhelmed like we likely would have been without protective measures. In the meantime, our testing procedures have gotten better. We've increased our ventilator count. We've gotten a little better handle on PPE supply chains, and many have helped by making masks and gowns. Phoebe in Albany has a second COVID-19 ICU opened, and Atlanta has a field hospital ready to go. It's not perfect, but it's much better than it was seven weeks ago. A vaccine is a long way off. At some point, people have to be systematically exposed to begin the building of (hopeful) herd immunity. We will likely begin to experience a real increase in cases after reopening. Ideally, that exposure is controlled and calculated, in phases, to allow our medical community to respond adequately, and reduce the number of severe or fatal cases. That's where we are. Whether you feel like Georgia is opening too soon, or not soon enough, we were never going to social distance this thing into nonexistence. You now need to proceed as your health, wallet, and conscience allow. If you are medically vulnerable, you do not need to be a part of what is about to happen. Stay home if you can. If you're not, or if your financial vulnerability trumps your health concerns, you need to proceed in ways that continue to protect yourself, and the elderly and medically vulnerable around you. All of us need to calm down. Quit telling people who are financially struggling that they don't care about human lives. Quit telling people who are truly at risk of dying from this virus that they are cowering in fear. Remember that until you've walked in someone else's shoes, you should probably be careful in your judgements and subsequent harsh words. We don't HAVE to choose an either/or proposition and fight. We could choose other ways to be. Examples include but are not limited to: "I think this may be too soon, so I will continue to shelter myself, and pray/make masks/ check on those who can't." "I really need to go back to work, so I will do so, but I will be careful and try to protect myself, my family, and those around me with healthy strategies." See how those positions allow each of us to do what we need to, and also respect those who are choosing differently? One thing that allows us to do this is humility. I can acknowledge that I am not an epidemiologist/economist/whatever, that I am making decisions based on my understanding of complex subjects and my own personal health and financial situation, that I am not all knowing, always right, and an expert in all fields, and that each person around me is doing their best too. We can make different choices and still be a supportive community. We can learn and evolve in our understanding of these issues. Posted by: blaster at April 23, 2020 08:06 AM (ZfRYq) 69

Yet they will be bitching the loudest when there are no jobs in 6 months for non-essential employees like them. Or anybody else. @CNN Nearly all coronavirus patients who needed ventilators in New York's largest health system to help them breathe died, a study has found. >>>> The article... The team looked at the electronic health records of 5,700 patients with coronavirus disease hospitalized at Northwell Health. Final outcomes were known for 2,634 of them. The records support what doctors have been saying about the coronavirus: most people who become severely ill have some sort of so-called underlying condition. More than half, or 57%, had high blood pressure, 41% were obese and 34% had diabetes. >>> The grand finale... Since final data was only available on about half of the patients, it's possible that more of those on ventilators survived, the researchers said -- something that would drive down the 88% fatality rate for that group. In other words, "This study was shit but it's a great click bait, huh?" Posted by: Tami < click for link to grammie's GFM at April 23, 2020 08:11 AM (cF8AT) 91

Mr. Sefton: Only arguement I have with your arguement is the apology preamble that you open with. Anyone who says you are heartless because you don't care about the deaths caused by the Chyna Virus is making a Satanic accusation. They are the ones that don't care: they are trying to use the fact of any death, and the lies that many of these deaths are due to Wahan flu as a cudgel to control you.
They can go straight to hell. Their premise is that if we do what they say we will not die. If we practice social distancing no one will die. If we shut down our economy we will live forever. I throw it back in their face: Their instructions will surely bring about hell on earth. This socialism with a doctor's face. Posted by: Minuteman at April 23, 2020 08:15 AM (HXWZ9) 110

Second is that W unfairly got the blame for the negligence of the New Orleans Mayor and Louisiana Governor. The article conveniently avoids an important fact - in typical W style, he never pushed the blame back where it belongs. I guess, like everything else, W considered it "beneath the office of the president" and "he would not dignify the accusations with a response" - two defenses I've heard time and again from Dana Perino.
PeRINO is just a feminine face of Rove, who wanted to make the GOP indistinguishable from their co conspirators on the other side of the aisle as they eliminated everything Reagan put in place. How'd that "dignity" work out? Pretty good, I guess, since W looks pretty fucking happy hanging with Gaylord and Slick. Posted by: Captain Hate at April 23, 2020 08:16 AM (y7DUB) 117

Not a single state or fed worker has been furloughed or laid off as far as I can tell, so you have billions going out and nothing coming in. BUT, I swear that about a month ago they started testing in Washington state, and they made a big deal of some batch of humans getting their initial shots. maybe this is the second round of shots, but so far no one has said that. so, is this the initial testing, or is this a different vaccine? why are the basics so hard to get straight? Here in the Michigan mini-reich, one newspaper reports that Gov. Whitmer complains about the lack of nasal swabs for testing, and opening the economy requires testing so no soup for you!!. Meanwhile, in the other newspaper (actually in an editorial) the editor tells of a company in Dearborn that is ramping up to produce 1 million nasal swabs per day via 3D printing. His product is FDA approved and he ships to hospitals all over the country. He's contacted the state, he could supply all that Michigan needs, but a public health commissioner type gives the "We have a strict process to validate these things" excuse.
Meanwhile.... the Gov was forced by political pressure to cancel a no-bid contract for contact tracing of CCP Virus victims which was awarded to a Democrat party affiliated data tracking firm (which we're sure would never misuse the data -wink-wink). She says she doesn't know how the contract was awarded but said that certainly this emergency justifies shortcutting the contract process, or words to that effect. YGBSM Of course, now that we can't have swabs and we don't have a company to do contact tracing we'll just have to keep the economy shut down that much longer, I'm sure. Re: Facebook actively working with state governments to shutdown speech re: protests against shelter in place orders.
Is anyone surprised? Facebook, google, twitter, youtube are not American companies, despite having their HQs located in Silicon Valley. They have been partnering with governments all over the world to micro-manage, suppress, even actively report on citizens' speech. Probably didn't even pause as they went from working with Merkel to suppress anti-refugee posts to Whitmer on anti-shutdown speech. They don't believe in or support free speech - they provide the level of speech their government masters have specified, nothing more, nothing less. Whatever it takes to ensure they can operate with each countries borders and collect user data -- the real product being sold here. Posted by: Lizzy at April 23, 2020 08:19 AM (bDqIh) 137

That "Farm to Table" story is good ... I hadn't heard of people doing this, but that was my concept as well ... farmers that produce a variety pack, deliver like the milkman used to do, but with an expanded product line, and online purchasing, online viewing of the farm in action.
That could be a model for many communities, and the growing numbers of retired people could give back to local enterprise, and just perhaps rural communities could build out their economies. But there are indeed efficiencies in the current SuperMarket model ... and social distancing should not be the NewNormal. But knowing your grower/producer is a nice concept. After subtracting out: Those who would have died regardless of the strain Those who died because their treatment was "elective" Those who died from hopelessness; losing their job, house, drug and alcohol abuse We will end up with more dead We ruined our economy, descended into fascism to trade one basket of deaths for another It's not "saving lives," it's Russian roulette--and each trigger pull without a discharge is counted as a life saved. I have insight into the young lefty college student mind, one lives with me. Things they know to be true.
1. It's all Trumps fault he caused it 2.Barak O had secret pandemic spotter spies in Cheyna to ID hot spots cause he knew that they would lie and the WHO would cover for them. 3. Trump fired them all (more likely they were killed as a result a security breach) and shut down his pandemic team (actually he rolled them in the bioterror team) 4. If Trump had acted in December, against all public statements and advice of all health organizations at that time, then the two week quarantine would have worked 5. Trump is in the pocket of the Cheyena (and Putin!) 6. Fauci is God. Do whatever Fauci wants cause people are scared and "empathy"! It's been a long time since I had to file, but then, if you got called back and didn't go, you didn't need unemployment compensation. Of course, you will have people "fearful to return". Thanks as always for the Morning Report, JJ. Good morning.
On the Earth Day nonsense in the context of current events. On a conference call yesterday, one of my execs was talking about a "silver lining" from the COVID-related shutdowns being that the "Earth was starting to heal." Totally tone deaf. Totally. At my company, virtually no one has been laid off except the janitors, who haven't been laid off but are on reduced hours because everyone is working from home. Easy for that person talk about "healing the Earth" at the cost of everything you've got and more. Posted by: Joe Mannix (Not a cop!) at April 23, 2020 08:43 AM (hYcqw) 237

"Experts" are saying the unemployment rate will also
be inflated by people refusing to return due to the extra $600 a week. It's been a long time since I had to file, but then, if you got called back and didn't go, you didn't need unemployment compensation. Of course, you will have people "fearful to return". That $600 is going to be biting the ass for some time to come, at least until 31 July. Posted by: bill in arkansas at April 23, 2020 08:40 A --- We just had this discussion yesterday. Even if we are allowed to reopen some employees will not come back to work because of that extra $600 kicker and all they are going to have to say is they don't feel it is safe enough to come back and they don't want to get the virus. And I am willing to bet the State will keep paying them even if they are allowed to return to work. Once the extra $$$ runs out, they will come begging for their job back. The point was never to reduce the *total* number of infected (and therefore, as a proxy, the total number dead) - it was change the *rate* of infections so that we don't overwhelm hospitals. That was the whole point of this BS. But the hospitals aren't overwhelmed. Massive amounts of medical plant is *idle* right now. yes, we are in a constant state of war with these "globalists". We said a year ago that "they" might try to crash markets to harm Trump. Fauci predicted like a couple years ago, that Trump would face a virus outbreak. Whether they accommodated it or not, they sure seemed prepared with a battle plan (against sovereign nations of the West) ... to shut down Western economies. The MSM goes to Gates as the global guru ... the coup continues, CDC/WHO/NGOs conspire, FANG corporate giants get market share boost ... But maybe we emerge stronger, idk. imo Trump and "the Fed" has to support critical industry, so the QE trillions has made US stronger (for now). And Mitch just supported states going bankrupt ... instead of bailing out a trillion in unearned government pensions, let them eat cake ... cut those golden calves in half, for the children' sake (children that were put in infinite debt before they were born). Lots of diff between, say, LA's beat cops, and Podunk's sheriff. Wonder if the percentage of arguers for "LEO will be pro-Constitution" versus for "LEO will follow orders" is about the same percentage as actual LEO split. Yup. This is a colossal mistake. 30 odd million Americans unemployed, and he puts the okay stamp on importing a half million "skilled" foreigners to compete for jobs? I'm in IT contracting. Or I am when there's a job that hasn't been frozen thanks to gook guck. Have worked plenty of places jammed to the rafters with Indians doing jobs like business analyst, sys admin, and scrum master. Yeah, these are jobs that have a scarcity of Americans than can do them..of course we need to import Indians to to fill these positions. Ah, but they'll live 5 to an apartment and work for half, so payoffs are made, exceptions are made, and hey presto, the Indians (and other cheap foreign workers) swamp the industry and wreck the pay scale. Granted this depends on the length of the shutdown, from the extremes of 1 day being practically unnoticeable to 6 months meaning the collapse of the country. Anyone know anything about the "NORC Center for Public Affairs Research?" They just did a poll with AP that says that most people think we're not going too far, and many think we're not going too far enough in the fight against SARS-nCoV-2. They don't have a lot of methodology discussion in this article, or state-by-state breakdown, but it's distressing int he extreme if true.
Only 12% of Americans say the measures where they live go too far. About twice as many people, 26%, believe the limits don't go far enough. The majority of Americans - 61% - feel the steps taken by government officials to prevent infections of COVID-19 in their area are about right. https://tinyurl.com/ycnlawgb I don't usually pay any mind to polls, but that one worries me because if it is even close to true, we don't come out of this until we're starving slaves in a new USSR. No, you are wrong, in my mind at least. From the night Trump won, we, who voted for him, have dealt with the onslaught of hatred from politicians, media jerk-offs and left-sided delusional hollywood morons, so this virus is about Communist China's Xi's way of dealing with a person, who, from the very beginning of his presidency got up into the face of Xi and has not stopped doing what is right for America. Also, WTF, Sefton, what the fuck are you so afraid of? I don't think this was an "op" from the start, but they have been able to turn it into one. It's impressive in a very evil way. I keep thinking on why Trump let this happen. I can only come up with two options: 1) Trump was rooked by the technocrats in an area where he had no expertise, and lost control. 2) The IC told him and others behind closed doors that this thing came from the Wuhan bio lab and no one has any idea what it is, but that it might be a bioweapon. And, based on China's silence and violent suppression in their quarantine zone, an extreme response was warranted. I lean more toward #2, but I think #1 is a possibility. If recent, most people are looking to 30-Apr and saying "Yeah. OK. That seems reasonable." If the question asked "do you believe the lockdown should go until mid June or July or the next 12-18 months, that 61% figure goes down dramatically IMHO. 4) There was obviously a company-wide meeting at Fox News in late Feb. It is a fact that every show host changed their tunes overnight. Hannity, Ingraham, TuCa, all of them. And they all adopted the exact same "wash your hands" and"we're all in this together" mantras like good little robots.
Then TuCa made a midnight drive to Mar-a-Lago and Trump changed overnight. Who called the meeting at Fox, what was discussed, and what made TuCa drive to Mar-a-Lago and what was discussed there? Posted by: Guy Smiley at April 23, 2020 09:17 AM (SAK2A) 380

Bruce, Pookette doesn't mind learning from a computer (she's better at some parts of gaming than Pooky is), but what my mother figured out yesterday during Grandma School is that my daughter has figured out how to monopolize my attention. It's all part of a power play when she stalls and "needs help" or refuses to do something. Unfortunately, there's nothing I can do about it, because she has no siblings or friends she can interact with, it's just her and me. And first grade is not the level where you can just hand them a syllabus and tell them to figure it out on their own.

A local radio station was talking about her as a possible VP pick and they said that "job" she had she was the biggest no show the whole time she had it. She doesn't want to actually do anything except collect a check
____________ That "job" she had was especially created for her. It was all bullshit, just a thinly-disguised political payoff. Michelle had one (and only one) job as a junior lawyer, right out of law school. She was hired by a firm called Sidley & Austin. She flunked the Illinois bar exam, which is usually grounds for firing if you're white, but since she was a black female, they kept her on and gave her special help. She still couldn't cut it, so eventually a partner told her gently that the firm "wasn't the right fit" for her, and they fired her. She tried to get another lawyer job, but nobody would hire her. Then her political "friends" created a non-lawyer job for her, and she never worked as a lawyer again (not because she didn't want to, but because she didn't have the talent or ability). And this is the great "genius" that the Dims hold up as a role model for young girls. Posted by: TrivialPursuer at April 23, 2020 09:39 AM (k4dH2) 474

blaster in post 69 (irony) got it right on most points. But I have never been so out of step with most of the comments than I am at this point in the quarantine.
This is NOT the flu - this is a coronavirus cultivated in a communist lab. Trump had to act decisively. If one person died without tremendous government intervention, Trump would have been done for and a Chinese stooge. NYC was hit hard because they didn't take action when they should have. They didn't want to be called the "R" word. In any event - Novel means exactly that - new without any knowledge about it. All the Monday morning quarterbacking going on is ridiculous. Everyone is getting their numbers from Twitter thinking they have insight the President and Vice-President don't have. Twitter and the internet is swill. Both those gentlemen have been getting briefed and working on the problem for weeks. In the briefings you can see it on their faces. To dismiss his decision-making as cavalier I think is a mistake. That is why the MSM during the briefings have done everything they can to challenge the President rather than gather facts. The UK tried the herd immunity approach and then too many grew ill, the PM was hospitalized, and the conservatives are being roasted for it. Can you imagine if President Trump was hospitalized? There is NO cure or vaccine for the commie cultivated virus. This was not about "stopping" or "killing" the virus - that is leftist MSM moving the goalposts. It was all about making sure the hospitals had capacity to support those who fell ill. Nothing more and nothing less. That is why we are opening up now and at a slow pace. I think all the complaining about quarantine and "rights" is for 1st world pussies. We all believe TV medicine - the patient is cured by science in the third act. On quarantine - early in our founding (and for at least 100 years) quarantine was COMMONPLACE. People couldn't leave ships for weeks in harbor for fear of epidemic. Towns and cities would be shut down, because "medicine" could not cure anything in the 18th century. Your rights - then and now - are not unlimited and can be reasonably restricted for the common good. Your rights don't include spreading new communist viruses whether you like it or not. It used to be a very nice city. I had really hoped to move there. Than all those Californians traipsed in and ruined the housing market, driving up real estate prices like crazy. And bringing their insane politics with them: they ruined one state, now they are dead set on ruining another. And then there are the sweet, but naive Mormons, who think helping the poor "refugees" is incumbent upon them. Let them go proselytize among the Moslem refugees they've welcomed. That'd be great. Eight years ago, their crazy mayor would never have been elected. Posted by: Lee at April 23, 2020 10:20 AM (x4tRj) 500

Data is now showing that the states with lockdowns are where the deaths are at.
The nine states that didn't lock down have a lower death rate per capita, and of course, their citizens are now more immune to the virus, so its much safer to walk around even for those that have underlying conditions, but if you're that person, I'd stay put till about 50% of the population has the antibodies and aren't carriers. This ain't the 18th century and you're the pussy. The common good is not putting 26 million people out of work , destroying the economy, causing depression and suicides because of the inability to pay your bill or because you lost everything in that small business you started. Fuck you . Posted by: Kilroy wasn't here at April 23, 2020 10:28 AM (2DOZq) . The damn IS breaking out here in flyover country. People ARE being crushed. Destroyed. And some will literally die while Demcommie rule over them with glee and joy as they issue their 'orders'. We either rise up and stop this madness or we eat shit. For generations to come. Salena Zito's article on the recent "farm-to-table" boom matches my personal experience.
I randomly joined an organic farming co-op last fall after seeing an ad for them on YouTube late one night. I initially signed up for the minimum subscription (ten pounds every three months), figuring that just having a few pounds of good meat in my freezer at all times would encourage me to cook a little more often. But then last week I saw that Smithfield was shutting down its main plant, and I knew JBS was already shut down, so I figured there could be meat shortages in the near future. So, just to be on the safe side, I upped my "meat subscription" to thirty pounds, and bumped up my next delivery to this week. It seemed like a better idea than potentially fighting the other panic-buyers for whatever scraps I could manage to lug home from the local supermarkets. I'm a little shocked at the amount of food I have on hand right now! Posted by: Prothonotary Warbler at April 23, 2020 11:15 AM (H3MF8) 513
Chins up. This fubar situation presents more opportunities for limited-government conservatism than it does for any green new dealers or would-be expert automatons. I've been following the silly debate about whether to reopen the economy and there seems to be a slow realization sinking in that, as any conservative could have told you, life is about trade-offs. There is no magic government bullet that is going to save lives. Real life rarely allows us to eat our cake, too. Reopen, people will die. Keep it shut down, people will die. It's unfortunate, but these are the choices with which the CCP has left us. AGHamilton of Twitter (and now National Review contributor, it appears) wrongly calls it a choice between freedom and life (not very Hamiltonian). It is a value choice between liberty and security. I love liberty and believe it provides security as a by-product even if it's not always immediately evident. Having a roaring economy provides security by enabling more people to take care of themselves. Control freaks who are petrified of life and the risks it entails value security above all, which leads inevitably and ironically to an erosion of it.
