Quarantine Cafe/
Tim Pool "Extorted" by Brother for Money in Dispute Over Company?

Only some readers like or follow Tim Pool, so I figure I'll just make this part of the quarantine cafe.

Two videos below from The Quartering explain the Chris Pool allegations against his brother Tim Pool. Tim Pool, Chris Pool, and others involved have talked to the Quartering and shared DMs, so he's informed, though definitely on Tim Pool's side.

The short story -- as related by The Quartering, who, again, seems to support Tim -- is that Tim Pool's brother had a company called "Subverse." I don't know how much of a company this was -- all that seems to be talked about is the company name (or "brand," as Tim Pool's brother now calls it) and a domain name.

Apparently they all planned to work together on Subverse, but Chris Pool admits in an email that he did no work on the project for a year. His excuse is that he had a "broken hand." A boxer doesn't take off more than a few days with a broken hand; he only avoids hitting with the hand itself for a 4 or 5 weeks. I don't know how someone skips out of office work for a year and says "but I had a broken hand."

Anyway, Tim Pool doesn't dispute that Chris Pool "founded" this company, whatever it was, and did register a domain name. But in texts and DMs, Chris Pool admits that the company, as it stands, is "worthless," and that he did no work on it, and further, he offers to give it to Tim Pool.

Flash forward until the last couple of months. Apparently Tim Pool did a Go Fund Me for the business, and he got $1.2 million to start the company up (for real, this time). And now Chris Pool starts making complaints that Tim Pool schemed to take away his company and his "brand," and wants $333,000.

Also, apparently Tim Pool let this guy stay at his house for free, for months. He seems to be YouTuber who doesn't make many YouTube videos, so I don't know if he has much income.

When Tim Pool refused to hand over the cash, Chris Pool started threatening to release information about Tim Pool online, like "who he voted for" in 2016. (Confronted with this by The Quartering, Chris Pool now says the threat was just a joke. Um, okay.)

It seems to be the case that the company was worthless when Chris Pool quit it and gave it to Tim, and now it seems to be worth something, with almost no contribution from Chris Pool. But now Chris Pool wants a cut of the value he did not create.

Anyway, the videos are short. Watch them if you're interested. The second video shows relevant DMs and emails.

Bonus:

Not this kind of model.

Oh, one more thing:

Bill Withers -- songwriter and performer of "Lean on Me," "Just the Two of Us," "Lovely Day," and "Ain't No Sunshine" -- passed away.

If I'm remembering right, he was a Navy radio technician. That led him to sound engineering work, and then to producing his own songs.

If it's nice out tomorrow, try to have a nice walk.

There is a corporate philosophy that has take hold over the past few decades, pushed by the CATO libertarians, anarcho-capitalist symps, and take advantage of by the corporate globalist types.

It goes that the a company's highest and only obligation is to its shareholders. This is has been taken to the extreme, to mean put the interests of the shareholders over the damn country, and it's people.

We are reaping the fruits of that now. This is going to change.

------------

Many years ago, more like decades ago, I had an outside commission sales job in office machines.

One guy, the best salesguy (of course it always seems to work out that way) would say as he was walking out of the office, "have a great weekend!"

It was at the end of the day on Tuesdays.

And we would see him again on Monday, regardless if there was a sales meeting or not late in the week.

The sales manager finally quit even asking where the guy was after a while.

When you have a commission sales force, and none of them are breaking laws to make their numbers, let's just say it is a different world today.

94 seems a little sloppy, if Tim collected $1.2M for the company and didn't clearly fully own it, or have whatever control of it he thought he did. And I'd guess GoFundMe had certain expectations, maybe even written down in the funding agreement. (like this will go toward advancing Tim Pool's company")

idk, hope the grifter brother gets nothing ... except shame, he should get a lot of shame.

98 Used to follow Tim Pool but after a while, something struck me as "off" about the guy, either his oddly defined politics (libertarian? or liberal? or ?) and varying positions, and then the meltdown he had on video when some lefty took his signature beanie cap off while Pool was at demonstration somewhere. He went unhinged apparently because the world discovered his early pattern baldness. That's gotta suck but c'mon man, just roll with it rather than show your deep insecurity over it.

Burglary vs. robbery. While both are theft, the key difference between the two terms is this: in a robbery, a victim must be present and robbed of something valuable by way of intimidation, force, or threat. I understand your frustration, however, my take is a bit different.

Fauchi is a lifer at infectious diseases. He has been at his job for decades, and is now the top dog.

With the power of using an actual time line and repeating the news videos from the last number of months, it is with certainty that I say nobody had an real idea of what a fast spreading Beervirus could do.

It is Fauchi's job, and duty, to be overcautious.

And it is President Trump's job to make that decision, in tandem with the many other critical decisions to run the most productive country in the history of mankind.

I don't mind Fauchi being cautious, I get pissed at the dumbshits getting paid seven figures a year on TV, telling us they know what is going on, and quoting every word spoken by Fauchi like he was Moses on the mountain.

U.S.--After state governments across the country directed their
citizens to shut down their businesses and just kinda hope things worked
out, a new order has been issued: everyone is to jump off a bridge
immediately.
A government official issued the order to solve our current crisis, and everyone immediately complied.
"Everyone jump off a bridge," said a representative of the government.
"OK,"
said everyone. "If the government says so, it's probably a good idea.
Besides, what can we do? It's the government. They definitely have the
best people working on it."
The directive was designed to end
coronavirus. Medical experts believe it's the best, most effective way
to stop the virus. Assuming everyone follows through and obeys the
order, coronavirus will be wiped out, according to officials. There are
no bad side effects, as far as anyone can tell. A few people pointed out
that it could kill everyone, but these people are anti-science and
obviously hate their neighbors.

What confounds the media is that they don't understand him, they don't understand how a senior sales executive works as opposed to a politician. They think he's a loudmouth dope because that's exactly what he wants them to think.

While they are obsessing over what he said today he's already thinking about tomorrow and they never see it coming. Because he understands them.

Junior sales people think the person they are told to speak with is their customer. He isn't. That guy works for someone else. Politicians think the media is their customer. Trump knows we are the real customer and he is always talking to us.

Not only does he have a job to do (other than run for office) which cuts into campaign time, but the president is the one putting it on the line and making the calls. 317 Burglaries, however, are often done without the victim present, like a home break-in during the day when nobody is home.

Under Common Law, a burglary by definition was only at night, a break-in when the occupants were asleep. Because of this, the penalties were more severe, since no one can defend themselves when asleep.

"Night" was defined as the period of time from evening to morning, when facial features are not distinguishable.

We the people of the United States are, for now, temporarily not exercising these innate, inalienable rights. But they have not gone away and the day will come when we start to exercise them again.

Kirk is the Captain. Spock, Bones, and Scotty are immediately under him, but they aren't good captains either. Fauci is like the chief expert under one of those three.

I was peripherally involved in a project which was literally a post-grad project for some customer engineers. They proposed a change which would have increased a minor performance factor by less than one tenth of one per cent. At the cost of redesigning, and requaliflying for shuttle flight the component, and its ground handling equipment and procedures. Adding cost and schedule to a part that not only was on the critical path, it was the critical path. And overdue to be ordered as a standard long-lead item before the contract was awarded.

380 I have some crazy shit to lay on you. Stick with me.

People have said hey they aren't giving us the demographic data on the victims of CV. What are they covering up? (They does not mean the media because I don't give them that much credit - they are just bad at their jobs)

Well.

We heard that it was old people in Italy. Birx said the average age of decedents in Italy was 88. I repeat: 88. The average.

So, we aren't getting that data in the US.

Of the 50 states, there is exactly one that provides detailed demographic data of the deaths from CV: MA (I found this because my 89yo ex-MIL is in hospice care about to die from CV so I was poking around for info.)

https://tinyurl.com/r9al25k - April 2

https://tinyurl.com/qmr3wrl - April 1

Note the distribution of cases over the age ranges - they are fairly even.

Now, take a look at the pages with deaths. On April 1, 33. On April 2, 32. On each day 30 of the deaths are over 60. On April 2, 27 of the 32 deaths are over 70. The ones under 60 either have pre-existing conditions, or their status is unknown.

The people who are dying of CV in MA are overwhelmingly VERY OLD. I do not have any reason to suspect that MA differs from the other states.

Let me take you back to the Before Times. Memba when AIDS was the hotness in the 80s? The government, as well as activists, made sure to make you think that, as they say in Team America, EVERYBODY HAS AIDS!

But of course we don't all have AIDS. There is a reason why all the Truvada ads are aimed at a very flamboyant audience. But the feeling was that America might think that the gay and IV drug user communities were expendable. So, it had to be a threat to everyone.

So, now we have CV. And the medical community is saying that anyone can get it. Yeah, they say, mainly the old are at risk but even young people have to stay locked up.

I am thinking that if we were broadcasting that 90% of deaths from this damned disease comes for people over 70yo, people might start to wonder, well why the heck do we have everyone locked up?

So, last piece of the puzzle. Fauci and Birx (who I have utmost respect for both of them) were top AIDS researchers in the 80s and 90s, and are held up as heroes in the AIDS community. They were big on the "everybody can get AIDS" train - though I believe at one point Fauci raised a little ire by suggesting that the butt stuff was problematic.

Anyway, I am not suggesting that there is a conspiracy and that Fauci and Birx are in on it - I am saying this is how they work. Universalize the risk, so precautions are universal - hey, gay guys get the AIDS a LOT, so everyone has to wear condoms!

So, yeah, that's where I am right now. My current prediction is that US will top out around 600k cases, and that there will be some 40-50k deaths. And 90% of those will be from people over 70.

383 The 9th's inaction has nothing to do with personnel changes. And recall - we're now at the Third World level where *district* courts issue national injunctions on issues the judiciary has correctly not touched in our entire history.

It's almost certainly that, of course, they're too scared to try - there are *some* perceived limits to their lawlessness, that is, some point at which they fear the constitutional re-set (repudiation) that Scalia and even Roberts have foreseen might happen. And the NGOs that work as part of the scam also fear the oppobrium that would attach to trying their crap in *this* instance.

Vandalism in the midst of an historic national epidemic and unprecedented shut-down would be tempting fate.

Tossing aside any serious concept of standing? Sure. Directly violating statute by interfering in matters for which the statute excludes their jurisdiction. No problem.

Throw a wrench in the works when near-term large scale death and suffering are at issue?

Nah. Wouldn't be prudent.

Namely that another company (StudioFow), also created a Kickstarter last year to make a porn game, which was ALSO called Subverse, which actually raised MORE MONEY than Pool did.

My understanding is that there was a lawsuit by Pool that got thrown out because he didn't actually have intellectual ownership of the name Subverse.

392 Scotty was kind of a renaissance man, he was great at everything he set his hand to. He was just a humble man who did not want more than he had or was given.

-
Had a taste for whiskey, though. One little piece of business I liked was when Scotty was being used a guinea pig to test some medication or something he downs a shot saying, "For the pain." Spock says that there will be no pain. Scotty says that he should've told him sooner.

394 Well, I grew up with Picard, so I wasn't always comparing him to Kirk. Picard definitely had his moments of leadership. Like the episode where Worf is having some kind of religious melancholy and misses his shift. Picard comes in and dresses him down - and then tells him to take some leave and get his head on straight. Showed compassion while still making clear that the standards will be upheld.

Of course, Picard is also the same guy who didn't do anything when Worf took off his badge, teleported to another ship, and straight up murdered a citizen of another empire that the Federation had a checkered diplomatic history with. Worf got to put his badge right back on. So...

Trying to find hand sanitizer is more scarce than trying to score the hottest toy a week before Christmas.

So, those that know more say to make your own, using alcohol. It has to net out at 60% alcohol to kill the germs and be effective. Commonly, it is mixed with Aloe to sooth the hands.

I can't for the life of me find any alcohol, not 99%, or 70%.

So I checked, and Maker's Mark is 90 proof, or 45% alcohol. I just add one-third to my regular drink, forget the aloe, and there it is! Safety!

Of course, I would never waste it by putting it on my hands.

Sorry for the math.

410 The writers who made TOS - including Roddenberry - had been in the military. They GOT chain of command. Captain's Orders.

The people on TNG were not veterans. They were soft. So, yeah, make it so, but often as not, the officers retreated to the captain's wardroom and voted on stuff.

Yeah, no.

Also, Roddenberry was an airline pilot after WWII. He crashed a plane and was the sole survivor and walked like a hundred miles out of desert.

True story, man.

The lessons in the plots are numerous. Many ST themes are repackaged ideas from the Bible. The Godfather ones, having to do with loyalty and family.

And they give many examples of people not doing them. And some that do them well.

416 Seriously guys. Some of the things that happened to Worf:

-Old GF shows up out of nowhere as a diplomat
-Finds out his rival's dad did the shit his dad is blamed for but he lets his dad take the blame which also means he gets shunned because Reasons
-Klingon exchange officer on his ship turns out to be the brother he never even knew he had
-Old GF presents him with a surprise toddler he'd never known about
-His baby mama is murdered
-Murders his baby mama's murderer, who is a foreign diplomat, with no repercussions whatsoever (apparently Starfleet officers can do whatever as long as they take off their badge first)
-Klingon Jesus appears to him
-Klingon Jesus turns out to be a fake
-Falls in love with an alien who consists of a humanoid body and a worm-thing living inside her
-The human body dies, so the alien worm goes to another human body, which still loves him

And I didn't even cover most of the DS9 shit because I haven't seen all of it. Didn't he serve in the Klingon Defense Fleet for a while? And didn't he end up wiping his brother's memory at some point?

Posted by: Mrs. Peel at April 03, 2020 09:56 PM (rWZ8Y)

I think each of the Command qualified officers - Kirk, Spock, Scott - had in some fashion gamed the system to defeat the scenario, and survive.
