The Morning Report - 2/11/20

shilzbur.jpg

Good morning, kids. Tuesday and now that the Democrats' Sham-peachment banzai charge has been thoroughly blunted, it seems as if a long-awaited counteroffensive all the way to next November and beyond may at long last be underway. Along with the sacking of the Shillsbury doughboys Alexander and Eugene Vindman, and ex-EU Ambassador Gordon Sondland comes news that the administration is conducting a full-scale purge of the National Security Council involving some 70 Obama holdovers including reportedly that "anonymous" Deep State apparatchik who wrote an op-ed for the NY Times, which was the moral and intellectual equivalent of making underarm fart noises, boasting of sabotaging Trump from within. The important thing is that the President has to be confident that everyone working under him, at whatever level and regardless of their political affiliations and worldview is going to faithfully discharge their duties in carrying out the orders and policies handed down from above. This is something that should have been done as of 12:01PM on January 20th, 2017 not only in these departments and agencies, but across the board at every single bureaucracy and agency in DC. I suppose that is the Achilles heel of an outsider, but this President is no dope, and I assume will do a thorough house cleaning starting now. It can't wait until after the next inauguration (G-d willing) because there are still hundreds of other Vindbags burrowed in, ready to do their worst.

Yet like clockwork, the usual gang of idiots is there to proclaim that the President's actions are illegal and demand, get this, another investigation and, you guessed it impeachment. Despite the overwhelming schadenfreude of watching Cuck Schemer and Malig-Nancy Pelosi have one disaster after another explode in their face as they step on another landmine, it is nevertheless enraging in the extreme to hear them proclaim the mantle of righteousness and virtue in spouting out their blood libels against this President and we the people. Encouraging though it is that their criminality and propaganda is having less and less effect on more and more people, it's still cold comfort for people like Mike Flynn, Paul Manafort and Roger Stone, who continue to go through hell as their lives are destroyed in the ongoing and non-stop attempt to overthrow the will of the people. While they rot in jails, have their reputations trashed and their finances ruined, literal scum like James Comey, Andrew McCabe, John Brennan, James Clapper and Hilary Clinton are free as a bird and more than indirectly profiting off of the former's misery and persecutions. But what of the lower-level apparatchiks, saboteurs, traitors and flunkies like the Vindmans and Sondland who do their bidding, directly or of their own accord? From George Parry at American Spectator:

... As described by the hysterical media, you would think that President Trump had "settled all family business" in the manner portrayed in The Godfather's climactic scene, in which Michael Corleone has the heads of New York's five Mafia families whacked. But the truth is altogether to the contrary. In May of this year, Alexander Vindman will enroll in the Army War College. This is a highly sought and selective program and a singular opportunity to advance one's military career. It is open only to the favored few who are being groomed for top leadership positions in the military.

As for Sondland, he is a hotel magnate who was a big contributor to Trump's 2016 campaign. Recalling him is not the equivalent of terminating the livelihood of a career State Department official. Sondland can go back to his day job of running his hotel empire. And since the Obama regime is no longer in charge, he can do so without fear of the IRS auditing his company, OSHA inspecting his hotels, and ICE vetting his employees.

As retaliation goes, removing the Vindmans from the National Security Council and stripping Sondland of his ambassadorship is pretty weak stuff. Which raises the troubling question as to whether or not such pallid measures will be enough to deter others who may wish to emulate Sondland and the Vindman twins in any future coup attempt...

... Since the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again while expecting a different result, you can count on the Democrats again impeaching Trump at least once between now and the November election.

That is why President Trump should seriously consider taking firm and decisive punitive action to discourage all deep-state partisans from promoting yet another impeachment hoax. In that regard, he has a positive obligation to the nation to make clear to one and all that they will pay a heavy price if they meretriciously participate in any future attempted coup...

Well, what can the President really do especially in light of the fact that the bureaucracy generally protects its own where and when it can? Since said bureaucracy itself is more than likely 90% Democrat-Globalist and anti-Trump in the extreme, the odds of Trump using them like Obama used the IRS for example are slim and none, as Parry points out. Again, it's an off-shoot of the now undeniable fact that we have two systems of justice in America; one for the ruling power elite and one for the rest of us that ensures that the former's status as a ruling elite is never challenged. And that, more or less, encapsulates what the past four years was all about.

The Open Society University Network, or OSUN, will "integrate

OSUN will supposedly provide an international platform for teaching

So there, I said something nice about Warren today. She has at least one smart staffer, and a very beautiful Golden Retriever.

109 People should be scared by one consistent theme that keeps coming up in the election. Democrat Party voters and many Independents keep stating in interviews they don't like the field of Democrat candidates because they lack "energy" and a "presence", like Obama did.

Read, they are not concerned about the issues being pushed like legalizing drugs, paying for illegal immigrants. forcing everyone into government run healthcare, tax increases, Second Amendment obliteration and generally more intrusive government. Issue-wise, these voters are completely oblivious to the factors and issues that have restored our economy, our safety and our country in general.

Ignoring this, either in the current election or beyond, is an existential threat that needs to be addressed. We are hearing very little talk of the significant policy differences and the demonstrable effects. Are people really willing to give that all up for a destructive socialist vision? You don't want a special prosecutor, you want the media to hype up what Durham and team are doing to the level they did with Mueller. The odds of that happening are slim to none.

AXELROD: . . . And sometimes I wonder whether Hollywood
is --- in terms of the cause of making a case against the president ---
helpful or hurtful in that regard.

APATOW: Well, there's clearly a very big
disconnect in thinking, and we're all trying to understand why that is.
For instance, I always think, 'Why does anybody think Donald Trump has
their back?' Like, do they think he's really up late at night trying to
solve your problems? His heart aches for your situation? And, so, as a
Democrat, one of the things we do is, if somebody's awful, we make fun
of them, because we don't want people to be awful and people of every
ideology do that, and he certainly deserves it . . .

[Donald Trump] certainly has amazing
instincts as a communicator. He truly understands flooding the zone, and
what I always wondered --- and I'm sure one day we'll find out --- is, how
much of his style of communication is something that he understands?

- - -

First, last , always, the Left talks about messaging and the narrative blah blah blah. It's never that they have the wrong policy, they just didn't 'tell a compelling story' to sell it to the people.

190 Well, what can the President really do especially in light of the fact
that the bureaucracy generally protects its own where and when it can?

While government employees can't be fired they can be transferred to other locations and given other assignments. There are many prime locations available for seditious bastards; Gila monsters need up close and personal inspection in Death Valley.

The State Department - above all else - needs to be decentralized out of Washington D.C. The Country is too vulnerable to attack with them in the same place as the rest of the government. Perhaps moving parts of them to the Big Bend national park, and part to Puerto Rico, some to a choice assignment in the Alaskan Tundra, others to the land in Wyoming that the indigenous Indians called "Auuuugggghhh". In addition, their reliance on fragile electronic communications and computers needs to be ended. They need to deliver, hand written or typed on mechanical typewriters, internal memos by diplomatic couriers on bicycles or rowboats, to insure they can continue to provide their essential government services in a post nuclear environment.

Appears the BMI (Baltimore Murder Index for you rubes) is set to break out of its 200 day moving average and set some new highs. I predict a rally around the spring thaw, and then a move to significantly higher trading range during the summer "trading" sessions. Now is the time to reallocate from conservative sectors to a more aggressive position. Expect higher volatility, heavy trading but definitely higher gains. BMI should be a core asset in everyone's 401k.

227 I have been watching the Joe and Mika propaganda show for the past 30 minutes. Wanted to see what they're crying about, post-shampeachment.

They and Chrissie Matthews are BIG on Michelito-Lo-Lo today. Saying he is the only one tough enough and with enough money to beat PDT. Chrissie says Michelito can craft a message that appeals to the voters who went for both JFK and Reagan, based on his recent JFK-quote ad. One of the regulars, Steve ??? says Michelito can absolutely win a typical Dem share of black voters.

Plus the usual Trump-bashing: Everyone, including Claire McASSkill calling him fat, laughing at him for confusing Concord NH and MA last night (gee, 50 percent of pundits and Dem voters and politicians would get it wrong on a test, when they have to guess which one was involved in the 1775 British raid (and 99 percent couldn't get that year right on a test)), and so forth.

FYI.

the average person doesn't know. All they've been told is OrangeManBad.

As I said above, the media is keeping his gayness a closely guarded secret.

They will do their level best for it to stay hidden. And as far as I have seen, he is not campaigning with his "husband".

They literally can't let the gay cat out of the bag because black voters will reject him, and without 80% of the black vote, there is no way any democrat can win an election for President.

We need Trump to build a movement to either take the GOP over or kill it. I too worry about 2024 because going forward, we can not afford the luxury of losing another election. The Left will ensure they never leave office ever again."

This.

The only reason to think the overall GOP might--might--not have to be killed is the RNC and its donors realize it cannot escape consequences formerly only experienced by its voters.

A refrain I keep restating about Pence, because it seems many still do not "get it" - Pence makes statements all the time, Pence campaigns weekly with different groups in different places. The MSM hates Pence, but they cannot find a way to attack him, so there is a deliberate and concerted embargo by the MSM on everyone he says and does. THAT is why you do not "hear" statements from him - the MSM blacks out everything he does, everything he says.

Pence just keeps on doing what he does.

A good read, thanks J.J.! Got a chuckle out of the author, Scott McKay, referring to Mini Micro Bloomberg as "Little Gulp."

He makes a good point I'd not previously heard -- that "running Bernie means not only getting boat-raced by Trump but getting
saddled with countless liabilities in local and state party
organizations when the Sanders campaign installs them once he's
nominated.
"

Or as he explains in a link to his January column "Why the Dems Screwed Bernie and Need to Do It Again" -- "If the Democrats allowed Sanders' people to become their people, what it
will mean is every state party organization will then contain Jureks,
Weissgerbers, and Hodgkinsons in droves. That's what happens when a
candidate becomes a nominee. And it isn't easy to root those people out
once they're in, which means they're not just losing to Trump, they're
losing races all the way down to elections for Congress and even state
legislatures for years to come.

I get it. Until yesterday nobody from the NSC was being punished. Then 70 were all at once. Kind of a big number that seems to have generated a pretty lukewarm reaction. I doubt that process started after the impeachment sham and I also doubt that they weren't watching these people for a long time to see who exactly was involved.

It would be great if the DOJ published a timeline and gave us daily reports of what they are doing but that's not how it works. Not in properly functioning DOJ that doesn't leak and do it's business in the media.

All we get are peaks at what is going on behind the scenes and you have to try and piece together what is happening from that. And then you have to rely on the people doing the jobs. You either believe that Trump has got this or that he is being led around by the people he chose to get to the bottom of this corruption and the corruption goes very, very deep.

I've been pretty consistent that I didn't think we would start to see real action until after the investigations and impeachment of Trump were over so I'm not real moved by the constant claim of why isn't it happening NOW! I think yesterday was a nice opening salvo to what I expect will be Trump's response.

358 There has been a lot of pooh-poohing of the virus outbreak around here, but some of you should probably start taking note. PRC has largely overshot the end date of their manufacturing closure and shit is about to get real if they don't, or can't, start back up.

Locally, the thing to watch for in your area are what the schools and hospitals are up to. There are now multiple confirmations that the incubation period can be much longer than they thought, and that they're seeing a lot of false negatives and letting infected people walk.

359 " and that they're seeing a lot of false negatives and letting infected people walk."

They told me I'm clear.

Off to class......

361 Look, I get that Antifa goons are occupying a couple of blocks downtown and the cops are NOT arrest lawbreakers and protect the public. But Portland is a city of almost 3 million. Antifa's actions are actually small potatoes. Why give them the publicity?

When I lived in Chicago, we had neo-Nazis who demonstrated in a city park; counter protesters and cops showed up. But with all the publicity, it was just confined to a small part of a large park. Definition of a nothing burger.

365 In Portland, the police refusing to help victims of Antifa violence is like in the Old South when the law looked the other way when blacks were lynched. There should be a lawsuit finding out who gave the order to let Antifa run amok and who gave the order to let bystanders be assaulted while the police stood by. I hope the jury would find the city and police at least 1% liable and since they have the deep pockets, and what happened was an affront, punitive damages would be awarded. One can dream.

I don't think anyone of consequence gives two fucks what the MSM does or thinks about Durham or his sekret skwirl grand jury/investgation.

I think people want Durham to produce an actual charge, prosecute the charge, and obtain a conviction. Given all that has been discovered, all that has been revealed, and all that is now known that doesn't seem like an unreasonable expectation.

Jarhead you said it perfectly. Sorry for the very late response. I'm out of the country. Jack straw is a guy I read with interest. He may even know things. I did what Durham is supposed doing for a career and I think, candidly, that we should have long since since the lower tier of the traitorous POSs facing real charges. Even with the federal investigative world there are guys who know everything and never finish a case . Jack straw can never be wrong because his one trick is to caution us to wait. Given what's happened to Trump and our country waiting is the same as tolerating it all.
The tolerating ship sailed for me when they tried to put the General in jail.
