Holy Shit!

Halfway Into His Solo Antarctic Trek, Colin O’Brady Pooed Himself — In His Only Pair Of Underwear

To make it through the 54-day solo trip, Colin O'Brady had to pack his sled very carefully. He, unfortunately, opted for more food over an extra pair of underwear.

One of the reasons why I hate air travel. American Airlines threatened to arrest me, says woman whose seat was continuously punched by man sitting behind her

Well, TMZ has a photo of a "passenger disturbance notice" that a flight attendant handed to Williams, warning her that she could be federally prosecuted for not complying with the flight attendant's order to delete the video she'd taken of the seat puncher. The attendant also threatened to kick Williams off the plane if she didn't delete the video. Williams says she deleted the video, but was able to recover it and post it to Twitter.

According to TMZ, Williams believes she may have suffered damage from the repeated punches, because she says she has had a number of back surgeries in the past as well as titanium implants in her vertebrae. She wants the seat puncher identified and prosecuted.

For those of us who still have TVs reason #749 to ditch the set.

With 17 seasons under its belt, House Hunters made HGTV history on Wednesday when it featured its first throuple — three people in a polyamorous romantic relationship — on one of its episodes.

Titled “Three’s Not a Crowd in Colorado Springs,” the episode followed Brian, Lori and Geli on a quest to find their dream house in Colorado.

The trio wanted to find a new home that will accommodate their unique dynamic as well as provide space for Brian and Lori’s two children.

As with any episode of House Hunters, the family came armed with a list of must-haves for their new residence, including a three-car garage and a master bathroom that will accommodate three people.

At one point in the episode, Lori remarked about the lack of space in one house they were touring, saying, “This is a couple’s kitchen, not a throuple’s kitchen.”

I'm not the only one here who does a lot of traveling. Are these the best foods to eat while driving?

You can’t technically keep your hands on 10 and 2 if you’re going to town on some French fries while driving. Then again, drive-thrus and snack-centric gas stations wouldn’t exist if people weren’t so prone to eating while operating a vehicle. Some foods, obviously, are easier to consume under these circumstances than others: It’s not much of a challenge, for example, to occasionally dip your hands into a greasy paper bag and lead a chicken nugget to your mouth while heading down a highway.

But that’s amateur shit! Plus, that fatty nug is just going to make you want to take a nap. And so, driving pros use a bit more discretion when choosing their mid-ride meals: The perfect driving food is usually both nutritious and easy to consume; it provides you with adequate energy without weighing you down; and it’s unlikely to create a big mess.

Or, as some of the professional “vehicle” operators below prove, the best thing to eat while driving is whatever you goddamn feel like.

I like Kwik Trip bagels and coffee.

Can you be immune to dance fever?

I am no great shakes as a dancer. Sure, I’ve been known to get out there amongst ’em, sometimes at great length, but only under three conditions:

(1) It’s with a woman. I had the chance to partner with a man in a Hollywood movie. (Check out the costume party scene in Philadelphia—I was an extra, dressed as someone’s idea of Truman Capote, which was okay, but I didn’t know how to dance with a man. I didn’t feel up to dancing with a man.) As to dancing alone, personally, I don’t see the point.

(2) And I am in love with her. Or, when I was single, the possibility was there.

(3) And I (ideally, we) have had a couple of snorts.

Otherwise, no. I know the saying “Dance like nobody’s watching,” but I also know, from observation, that some people—and in that category I include myself, when not at least semi-romantic and tipsy—should not take that advice to heart.

Teacher’s Viral Moldy Bread Science Experiment Shows The Importance Of Washing Hands

We all know everything is covered in germs all the time, but the most common way to deal with it is to ignore it. The next level is washing your hands regularly with soap and hot water. The level above that is dousing yourself in Purell every time you touch something that didn’t just come out of a disinfected bag. After seeing this experiment conducted by a bunch of elementary schoolers, you might be at whatever level four is for the rest of your life—maybe purification through fire?

The family that does crime, pays the time. Family of Genius Award Winners.

A closet and safe under a 64-year-old grandmother’s bed in a senior complex in St. Petersburg are not the typical spots where police find a cache of illegal dope and guns.

But that’s what a federal task force found in December when it dismantled a drug-trafficking organization and arrested 11 suspects, including nine from the Sunshine City, records say.

Now, recent court documents reveal how the organization used the Viridian, a senior housing complex with 188 units on Third Avenue South, as a stash house for the drugs and guns.

50 >>its rude to recline in air travel

Since when? Since the airlines decided to fun-size seats?
Haven't seen it, but was there no conversation between them when the woman reclined her seat and the guys started punching? Did he ask her to move it up a bit and she refused, did she not pull it back forward a bit when she realized how much it restricted the cramped last row? There has to be more to this. . . him hitting, her refusing the budge makes them both look like jerks.

Coach seating has gotten ridiculous for anyone who isn't Japanese. Worst flight seating ever was when I took a trip with a group to the UK - at least I got a window seat, but at one point I dropped my tablet by my feat. The guy next to me was asleep, I didn't want to disturb him, and it was so cramped it took me 25 minutes to figure out how to get my hand down next to my feet to pick it up. (I had to pick it up a bit with my feet first was how)

There has to be more to this. . . him hitting, her refusing the budge makes them both look like jerks.

actually there was. he asked her to put her setback up from reclined while he ate his meal, which she did. when he was finished eating, she went back to reclining.

look, I don't recline my seat but the seats DO recline! how about they DON'T have that feature if we're not supposed to use it!?!?

On the other side of the coin, the last time I flew I watched an asshole spend 5 minutes trying to stick a frigging fedora in the overhead. Anybody with 2 functioning brain cells can see there was no room. He lays it in, it falls out before he can close it. He lays it in a different way, it falls out again. He moves shit around, and the hat falls out again. He tried 2 dozen times at least The people waiting to get to their seats wanted to kill him, you can see their faces. to LAX flight had a smoking section and bar service at the rear of the
cabin, but a non-reclining set redesign wold have cost $0.25, so they
opted to keep the old reclining design.

Yep. I've flown on Southwest for almost all my air travel for the past 15 years and it seems to work - the seating is not sized differently, I'll pay the extra $25 for early boarding, people are generally nice/not entitled (because they haven't been nickled and dimed to get where they are in the plane) and unless the flight is full I can almost always get an empty seat next to me (really early flight, travel with a kid, or pick the aisle seat in rows 6-10 - the people who want the front sit closer to the front, everyone else thinks "I'll try my luck farther down" )

An hour into the ONT and nobody has brought up the joys of having comfort animals on your flight. It was a passenger who wanted to bring her peacock on board that finally prompted United to change its policy about comfort animals:

In this, you would be wrong. Tragically, cosmically wrong.

Davio's Italian Steakhouse.
75 Arlington St.
Boston, MA.

With a couple glasses of house wine, and a good tip, it's gonna run you about $150.00 per person.

And worth every penny.

Disclosure. The owner's (late) Father was my former boss in the Fortune 1000 world, he being the President of the company.

I've dined at their previous location on Newbury St. dozens of times over the years.

You want some insanely good Northern Italian cuisine, *and* a steak to rival Ruth's Chris but with a different seasoning profile?

Put Davio's on your bucket list. Several locations, with one coming to the Los Colinas area of the D/FW Metroplex.

I remember a Peanuts strip where Lucy was having the other kids lie down on the sidewalk and cough, and then she would stomp on the germs. She explained that no germ had ever built up a resistance to being stepped on.

340 Given the choice, I will drive. I've driven from Louisiana to South Carolina, Illinois, Wisconsin and Iowa round trip. The only thing I'd change would be to get a more fuel efficient vehicle.

Listen to music, make calls, listen to podcasts and discussion shows on YouTube (obviously audio only). My dad gave me a series of lectures on Giuseppe Verdi for Christmas and I listened to hours of that on the road-- the presenter was awesome ("It was a FIASCO!!").

No fat smelling assholes, screaming toddlers, delays or lost luggage.

Personally, I bartended a two-night Valentine's Day weekend event at a hotel. Talk about a bummer, 400 women dressed to the 9s all with a man in tow.

Tips were good, but I wish I had been able to spend time with my lady friend.

Yeah. It's a fun job, but then, I don't think anyone is going to hire me to be "creature designer" or "sound effects guy."

Though, if TJM ever wants to do a George Washington meets Great Old Ones novel, well...you wouldn't believe how much of that I've already written.

Posted by: Commissar Hrothgar at February 15, 2020 11:57 PM (BiNEL)

446 I have extremely long legs. In those unusual situations where I don't get an exit row, the person in front of me will not be able to recline their seat. My knees will physically stop them.

One flight I had a woman in front of me screaming at me because she couldn't recline. Told me I should be flying in 1st class. I told her my company doesn't pay for 1st class.

I suspect this situation was triggered by something similar.

I had another flight, a red eye, where a guys wife screamed at me because he couldn't recline. When I got up to go to the bathroom, he fully reclined which meant I couldn't get back in my seat. I spent the next 2 hours standing in the back of the plane until landing.

Posted by: Aetius451AD at February 16, 2020 12:00 AM (XyVor)

456 I'm 6ft 6in....so flying isn't fun if I find myself in the wrong situation. Work has by in the air 30 to 40 times a year. However, over the years I've learned a few tricks:

1. Always be super super kind at check in. Those folks will mark your name on the manifest for the Flight Attendants if they get a good vibe from you and think you might be of assistance in any sort of emergency.

2. Traveling alone and showing respect at check in could either get you an upgrade, or if you are visibly tall (like me) an emergency row seating (which has massive leg room).

3. If you get stuck behind a reclining passenger and you have the aisle seat, put your knees out in the walk lane and sit at an angle. A flight attendant will notice that (since that's their lane)...and perhaps move you to a more comfortable location). This has happened to me a number of times.

4. Don't be shy. Offer to sit in the emergency door row. Some flights, they won't fill those seats until you are all on board. Sometimes there will be someone in those seats that technically shouldn't be (minor, elderly etc.).

5. Sometimes there are vacant Jump seats. (Reverse seats usually reserved for flight attendants). If you have a strong stomach you can ask to sit in one of those. Flying backwards isn't for everyone. But there is lots of leg room.

610 A palate cleanser-

"In the afternoon of September 2, 1898, the 21st Lancers were on a reconnaissance patrol between the main battle and the city of Khartoum, when they spotted 150 spear carrying Mahdists. As the cavalrymen charged toward the enemy, they became aware they had ridden into a trap, as they found over 2,000 Mahdists hidden in a shallow ravine. It began what Churchill had described as the two most dangerous minutes of his life."

You are expected to save every bit of evidence since the beginning and link it every time you discuss it like you are writing a peer reviewed paper. Not even kidding.

Their coffee rips up my stomach. But I'd eat 3 of their Rice Crispie/Marshmallow treats every day if I could.

Papadopoulos served time for lying to Congress. McCabe got a CNN gig.

No, Papadop told two different stories while being sweated by the FIBbers all night at the airport, about when he met a spy the sent after him.

At midnight he said it was "before joining the Trump team", and at 3AM it was after, or the other way around. Of course nobody ever documented exactly when he joined, or frankly whether he actually ever did, but both can't be true so close enough for our stalwart G-men! And the slippery bastid didn't bring in the $10K they slipped him overseas, so what could they do? The fucking horror, right?

What would we do without the top men at the FBI?! Could anyone but Porsche DC tell the difference?
