Bill DeBlasio: Trump Is Responsible For All These Attacks on Jews Committed by White Supremacists of Color (WSOCs)

On a YouTube channel I listen to (Cecil Says), a commenter sarcastically coined that term, sarcastically blaming these constant attacks on Jews -- almost always committed by blacks and occasionally Hispanics -- as being perpetrated by "White Supremacists of Color."

See, it's all just White Supremacy. It's just that White Supremacy now has recruiting stations in the Bronx.

Indeed, these seemingly random incidents—just the first few days of May saw an unprovoked attack in Lefferts Park in which a woman tried to pull off her victim’s sheitel, two violent assaults on Hasidic men in Williamsburg, and a possible attempted vehicular attack in the same neighborhood—is part of a typhoon of violence that in other contexts might call for a Justice Department Civil Rights Division investigation. The fact that the victims are most often outwardly identifiable, i.e., religious rather than secularized Jews, and the perpetrators who have been recorded on CCTV cameras are overwhelmingly black and Hispanic, inverts the perpetrator-victim dynamics with which most national Jewish organizations and their supporters are comfortable. A close look at these cases reveals no apparent connection to neo-Nazis, the alt-right, Donald Trump, jihadism, the BDS movement, or any other traditional cause of anti-Jewish behavior.

That's from June, and this has been going on since before then, and still, no one in New York City government is willing to even admit the pogrom is going on.

Instead, they are encouraging more attacks, and escalating the violence against our community.
To understand how, consider the case of Tiffany Harris. Last Friday, she walked up to three Orthodox Jewish women on a Brooklyn street and began punching them as she shouted anti-Semitic slurs. When the cops picked her up, Harris didn’t bother denying the accusations. "Yes, I slapped them," she said. "I cursed them out. I said, 'F-U, Jews.'"
Harris was brought before a judge, and not for the first time. According to the New York Post, she has an open harassment and assault case against her from last November, and just last month failed to make an appearance in court for another felony criminal mischief charge. But the prosecutors in her case this time around didn't even bother asking for bail: On Jan. 1 a new law will take effect that will prohibit judges from setting bail for defendants accused of certain, mostly nonviolent, crimes.
"The de Blasio administration has made it clear that we all need to get into compliance with bail reform now," a law enforcement source told the Post. "If prosecutors had asked for bail, corrections would release them immediately."
The law's defenders are hailing de Blasio's new sentencing guidelines as a shining example of criminal-justice reform. In reality, it's a noxious example of a misguided policy that allows progressive politicians to signal their virtue while leaving minorities--Jews first and foremost--exposed to assaults without consequence, which encourage more assaults against defenseless targets. In the past two weeks, New York, which boasts the largest Jewish population of any city in the world, has witnessed 10 violent attacks against Jews, yet the perpetrators, like Harris, were all let go, grinning and unrepentant.

Karol Markowitz writes that DeBlasio is effectively a propagandist in favor of antisemitic attacks.

"A lot of folks were told it was unacceptable to be anti-Semitic," de Blasio said in May. "It was unacceptable to be racist, and now they’re getting more permission." The message was subtle but unmistakable: De Blasio was trying to pin the attacks in bright-blue New York on President Trump.

They are in fact getting more permission -- from De Blasio and the leftwing Marxist media.

We're always told that if political leaders don't condemn hatred loudly and by its proper name, it's enabling and encouraging more hatred.

At least we're told that if the perp is a conveniently white male.

When the killers aren't white, suddenly lefties get mealy-mouthed, evasive, and vaguely supportive of attacking Jews.

The left claims that if Trump doesn't vigorously condemn antisemites specifically and patrol your "own" for hatred, then he's effectively encouraging it.

And by the way: He does condemn it.

But here we have De Blasio refusing to condemn this for a year and a half, with increasingly lethal results, and no one on the left says boo.

Hizzoner didn’t surrender the fantasy for some time. In June, he said: "I want to be very, very clear, the violent threat, the threat that is ideological, is very much from the right."

De Blasio needs to stop trying to find a "them" to be the opposite of his "us.” His juvenile obsession with having the right adversaries allows anti-Semitism to flourish.

I grew up rural in a deep-red area. When I was a kid (early-mid 90s), there was a upstart gang doing the neo-Nazi shtick. They lasted a month or two. They were on the receiving end of some savage informal justice before they decided to disband, never to be heard of again.

It does happen. It is not institutional and, in my limited experience, was quickly self-correcting. The point isn't that there are no conservative bigots. There are, and of all varieties. It was pretty shocking to me at the time in 1979.

Let's set aside discussion of religion for a minute and consider the source of violence: does it not originate in what people think? Doesn't hatred begin the process that ends in violence, regardless of who it gets visited upon?

There is the spiritual component. The solution is also spiritual: do you have self-control? Do you have the ability to not act on every thought? Are you easily manipulated, prone to let thoughts in that don't belong in a normal human?

The only key difference between fascism as envisioned by Mussolini and Communism as envisioned by Marx is nationalism vs. internationalism. It's because the Italian fascists, notable Gramsci, recognized that the failure of international communist revolution in the wake of The Great War was inexplicable in Marxist theory. That event should have, if Marx was right, led to exactly that outcome.

But they observed that nationality overcame class in all respects - in other words, that Marx was wrong about the triggers. They then regrouped and determined that National Socialism, not International Socialism, was the way of the future and that class differences must be underscored and corrected at the national level if it was going to succeed.

The Nazis were slightly different in that they also created the ethnostate variant of national socialism, but philosophically it was still the Italian model as far as the political economy was concerned.

Fascism is a variant of Marxism, which came to be due to the latter's failure when it should have succeeded according to its own theories.

When I was in college I took a PE class on Handball. It was fun. The class routinely broke up into groups and we'd play three man cutthroat.
I usually paired up with two foreign students, a kid from Israel and the other from Lebanon. We got along great. We all hated communists.
Then the Yom Kippur War started. I asked each if they were trying to get home. They were, and sadly, in a week they were gone.

I'm always suspicious of those who claim to know the objective standard, and even more suspicious of those who claim to be qualified to author the objective standard. If a guy floats down from the sky and hands me the standard, however, I'll take his word for it.

The source question interests me. If we're this way, why ? Were we always this way ? A lack of resources brings out the worst in people and survival brings out the worst in people. But what we're seeing now is that an abundance of resources also brings out the worst in people.

Frankly - idle time brings out the worst in most people. They don't seem to be able to entertain themselves. Could just be how most people are. Doesn't have to have super-natural causes. Then again, might be because of exactly that.

I don't know. Can't be proven one way or the other.

This sounds unbelievable - but then think of Jim Jones and his kool-aid in Guyana. This is why Evil is weaker than "Good", because Evil can never resist the urge to destroy itself.

In this formulation, Hitler would rate as slightly more Evil than Stalin, because although Stalin was monstrous, he still had some drive for preservation of himself and his country. When Hitler saw that he could not win, he vindictively made sure his entire nation was burned to the ground with him, and he destroyed himself at the end. One of the clearest insights into Hitler's soul came at the very end, when he flooded the tunnels underneath Berlin filled with 20,000 or 30,000 loyal Germans, trying to take shelter from the bombing. He thought all should die with him.

That's small town Texas in a nutshell. (including DFW suburbs) Asian mainly because those guys are everywhere. There's a southeast Asian community in South Dallas of probably 100,000 - it's almost jarring to drive through it, so many business signs are in Korean, etc.

I think competition for victimhood status explains part of it. What makes it worse, I think, is that the Jews (and Asians) are successful minorities. The survivors of pogroms and death camps came here with nothing and most of them built decent lives for themselves and their children, despite having seen and suffered unimaginable horrors. The "boat people" came here in the 70's, lived 8 to a room, worked like hell and now their kids are kept out of Harvard via a quota system.

In the meantime, trillions have been spent on the War on Poverty and affirmative action programs and the south side of Chicago still turns into a shooting gallery every night. Rather than looking at why other minorities with nightmarish histories managed to make good in America and adopting their values of hard work and education, it's easier to just hate and resent them and call everyone racist.

Of course it's Evil, but also, we hate to remember but should acknowledge, this was SOP for every invading army for thousands of years, up until the "enlightenment" and European ideas of limited and "moral" war. Non-western cultures never moved away from this, refer to the behavior of Japanese troops in Korea and China. In India, this was why the wives of fallen warriors were supposed to throw themselves in to a great fire, rather than submit to their conquerors.

Often the poorer parts of a nation - not just the US - interact with a just slightly less poor minority with a higher work ethic almost exclusively. The Chinese are this way in a lot of the far East. In Europe it is often Jews and Armenians.

So they are the ones who charge you "too much" for the stuff you buy because they are in a high crime area and have to account for that in the prices. They are the ones who loan you money between paychecks and take out interest. They are a constant negative presence, and they are right there to hit back at when you want to lash out.

When I lived in Hyde Park in Chicago, I paid nearly double for supplies than when I drove out to the tony suburbs once I got a car. The disparity is substantial and for the true poor it never goes away.

Even in the enlightenment and after, the Rules of War said that if you defended a town after being called to surrender when the attacking army had make defined positive steps to take the town (building trenches to a certain point, knocking down a portion of the wall) than your town would be sacked and your population subject to rape and murder.

If you gave up the troops defending would be marched out to the next town and the civilians would be protected by the occupying army.

It was a trade to avoid the losses and chaos of an assault.

Certainly the people who call themselves liberals oppose all that. At least for anyone besides themselves.

367 Blacks live in many neighborhoods in Brooklyn. Chasidim live pretty much in four neighborhoods: Williamsburg, Crown Heights, Borough Park, and Midwood. Thousands of Brooklyn's Chasidim have moved over the years to Rockland and Orange Counties in New York which is less crowded.

Blacks, in my view, are envious and jealous that some Chasidim from the same place they came from made it, whether it was in the clothing business or the jewelry business (many of the stores in the Diamond District around 47th Street in Manhattan are owned by Chasidim).

There's also a turf mentality. People forget that in 1991 there were major riots in Crown Heights after a car in which the Lubavitcher Rebbe was a passenger jumped onto the sidewalk and killed a seven year old black child. Al Sharpton strongly supported the riot, during which a young a Chadidic man from Australia, Yankel Rosenbaum, was murdered. His killer was found not guilty of murder in state court but was found guilty of civil rights violations in federal court.

This turf mentality resurfaced to an extent recently in Jersey City after the recent anti Jewish attack there, where some blacks on the streets expressed a view that the relatively new community of Chasidim there invaded a black neighborhood. The kosher grocery where three people were murdered is on Martin Luther King Boulevard.

Unacceptable explanations, but that's where we are.
