The Grande Dame of the American Theater, Lindsey Graham, Says Something On TV That He Will Never Actually Do As a Senator

From Mis. Hum. in the sidebar: Lindsey Graham is doing his usual bullshit of being a fire-eating conservative warrior on TV, before doing exactly nothing in his actual job as Senator.

His made-for-Twitter soundbite is good: Call everyone who signed the fraudulent, perjurious FISA warrants as witnesses in the mock impeachment trial.

Odds of him actually doing this? Zero point zero percent.

He just wants Twitter Memes made of him.

35 Pentagon tells military personnel not to use at-home DNA kits

In a Dec. 20 memo obtained by NBC News, Under Secretary of Defense for Intelligence Joseph Kernan and James Stewart, acting Under Secretary of Defense for Personnel and Readiness, said that DNA testing companies were targeting military members with discounts and other undisclosed incentives.

"Moreover, there is increased concern in the scientific community that outside parties are exploiting the use of genetic materials for questionable purposes, including mass surveillance and the ability to track individuals without their authorization or awareness," the memo said.

71 There is a certain value in threatening the Dems with possible backlash effects to their usual criminality. It is like nuclear deterrence - if the trial has the chance of exposing more wrongdoing than just the Biden stuff, then not having the trial becomes a more viable option.

The reason Nan is holding up the trial is that she knows a quick end is a loser. But not having the trial is also a loser. This kind of blustering threat might move the political calculus towards a quick acquittal rather than have the Dems play more games.

If they report anything.

Graham ran a second hearing with Horowitz the other day and it was really very good. He and some of the other Republican Senators like Hawley cleared up some issues such as the idea that Horowitz didn't find any bias at the FBI/DOJ (he did) and that he had referred everyone in the chain of command at the FBI who touched the FISAs. It also exposed the Democrats on the committee as either clueless or complicit or both.

The media hardly said a word.

That will be even more of a farce and political loser for them. If they had time to start new hearings, then for one the entire 'obstruction of Congress' count dies, since they no longer need a rush and could have gone through the normal court processes.

And where do these counts come from? It took 6 months and some rule changes in whistleblower rules to get this one cooked up with no actual evidence resulting. They don't have time for that - they need the decks clear for the primaries starting Jan 1.

142 Fox: "Do you have the Constitutional authority to conduct a trial without her sending them over
McConnell: "I don't think so."

Bullshit, Mitch. He just gave Pelosi permission to stall and stall while folding in more charges. What an ass. He makes it sound like he's supporting the president, but he just said he has no Constitutional right to proceed with President Trump's acquittal until Pelosi gives him permission. And she's stalling for her court cases.

She's in no hurry because this is a pr stunt anyway, an Impeachment Dossier. Pelosi's purpose is not really to remove the President anyway. She's trying to protect the last president.

Democrats want to establish the Big Lie that President Trump used foreigners to frame Biden and rig the next election when, in fact, the exact opposite is true:

Obama/Biden used foreigners to frame Trump and rig the last election.

She knows this is all coming out soon, so she's using Impeachment as a pre-buttal and a counter-narrative, as well as an extended campaign commercial.

Pelosi says she wants a "fair trial". Mitch says the Senate doesn't even want it. But the right to a fair trial doesn't belong to the prosecutors and the right to a speedy trial doesn't belong to the jurors. Both rights belong to President Trump.

By pretending he is helpless, Mitch gains leverage over the President by holding the acquittal over his head.

Who would play such a devious and corrupt double-game?

I dunno'--ask the Tea Party.

That's just how Mitch rolls. Ass.

154 >>No referral for criminal conduct. Your being opaque on purpose.

Because given his limited powers he didn't find criminal activity. He found that the entire chain of command was either clueless as to the rules governing FISA or they acted with bad intent, in other words they did it on purpose. He referred them for more thorough investigation by people who have the ability to do things like subpoena people. Fortunately, there is such a person working the case right now, John Durham.

You always try to find the doom and gloom in everything. This is why so many people said the IG report was a whitewash before they even read it.
