Sundown Joe Biden, Suffering From Rapid Cognitive Decline, Reassures His Worried Staffers That He'll Only Serve One Term as President

I can do you one better, Sundown Joe -- How about zero?

In what is actually a hilarious report over at Politico, several aides to Joe Biden have been told by the former vice president that he's only in it for one term, or four years. If he's elected, he's "signaling" to them, he'll be happy to hand over the keys to the White House to his VP once his first (and only) term is up.

According to the left-wing website, Biden and his top advisers are considering making a public pledge about the matter. The idea is that, if he tells radical-leftist voters he's only prepared to serve one term because he's so old and frail, they may be willing to accept him over, say, Elizabeth Warren or Bernie Sanders. So basically he could tell them: "You may hate me, but hey, I'm only going to be your president for four years. After that, feel free to vote in your favorite loony-left weirdo."

As one adviser tells Politico, "If Biden is elected, he's going to be 82 years old in four years and he won't be running for reelection." Apparently, he has said as much to his top advisers and aides. "This makes Biden a good transition figure," the adviser went on to say, "I'd love to have an election this year for the next generation of leaders, but if I have to wait four years [in order to] to get rid of Trump, I'm willing to do it."

I say again: Biden/Booker. (Assuming he doesn't blue screen entirely, in which case Clinton/somebody, maybe Booker again.)

I suspect the Dems are alarmed by any defection among black voters. This kind of pledge, plus a black VP, might just keep them on the plantation. At least I bet that's the calculation the Dems might make.

No, what he's really selling is this: You can get your historic first into the oval office by making them my VP and piggybacking off of my current establishment support/good polling. Joe may say he's selling it as 'after I finish my term' but it's really 'until I become unfit to serve out the rest of my term.' He is now bargaining for the opportunity to hold the office, just for a little while, in exchange for giving them an easy historic candidate via succession (easier than via the ballot box). Pretending it's not this is silly on Joe's part.

Or after Iowa and NH, like previous runs he's made, he'll announce that he has some kind of unforeseen health problem forcing him to drop out.

Out of all the people who could have put an end to this before it started, Jill Biden should be asking herself why she allowed Biden to do this to himself.

He's not only NOT a viable candidate, but he opened the door to really having all his and his jerk offspring's dirty laundry aired out. That's a good thing for the rest of us, but Jill HAD to hav eknown what was going to happen.

OJ was found not guilty in part on the basis of even more remote evidence of bias by Mark Fuhrman.

The IG report conclusions of no political bias is a farce.

---------

Ah! In keeping with the season, a short excerpt:

Marley was dead: to begin with. There is no doubt whatever about that. The register of his burial was signed by the clergyman, the clerk, the undertaker, and the chief mourner. Scrooge signed it: and Scrooge’s name was good upon ’Change, for anything he chose to put his hand to. Old Marley was as dead as a door-nail.

Mind! I don’t mean to say that I know, of my own knowledge, what there is particularly dead about a door-nail. I might have been inclined, myself, to regard a coffin-nail as the deadest piece of ironmongery in the trade. But the wisdom of our ancestors is in the simile; and my unhallowed hands shall not disturb it, or the Country’s done for. You will therefore permit me to repeat, emphatically, that Marley was as dead as a door-nail.

187 "If Biden is elected, he's going to be 82 years old in four years and he won't be running for reelection." Apparently, he has said as much to his top advisers and aides. "This makes Biden a good transition figure,"

I didn't really expect them to make it that clear and obvious, but yeah that's part of the plan all along. Biden will lose, which is no loss -- he's old and white and going away anyway. But if by some act of Satan he wins, then he won't last long anyway so the VP will take over who can be any extremist freaky they want.

Win win!

I guess it makes sense to pitch this more clearly and directly to the low IQ mob of their base, though. Spell it out so they can figure out why they should solidify behind the joke.

Although from what I understood, calling it "hacked" was a bit of a stretch. Celebs used icloud accounts with security questions like "what is the name of your dog" or other publicly available information, so bored losers brute forced their way by guessing answers.

In the words of Guylfoyle from Silicon Valley "My feeling is if you're the CEO of a company and you're dumb enough to leave your login info on a Post-it note on your desk, while the people that you fucking ripped off are physically in your office, it's not a hack. The media is incredulous that Biden isn't taking the hint- but I'm not. Biden has been repeatedly saying that he enjoys Obama's confidence- a subtle sign that if the Bidens are going down they're dragging everyone else with them. Biden himself might be able to plead diminished capacity before trial. He won't push that hard against a wildly successful Rat nominee- but there is no such person.

Assuming I'm right, Biden won't blink, and more precious FBI credibility will go to propping up his legacy.

316 There is NO WAY Biden will make it, either as the Den Primary winner or the President.

I predict he is Hillary Clinton's vessel candidate. Binden will fight like hell to actually win the Dem Primary. Then he withdraws, Hillary "jumps" into the race, and only has to run for President for 6-months.

He's way to dumb and terrible as a candidate, and she injects herself way to often into current debates to qualify as a bystander, and she still has an entire political team still activated and pushing content out there regularly.

Win win!

328 Apple's cloud was never "hacked". Each of those celebrity accounts was hacked individually by using publicly available information to answer Apple's identification "challenge questions" for changing an account's password.

An idea someone told me once...pick a word that has no real significance in your life, say automobile, and use that as the answer to all challenge questions. You only need to remember one response and it isn't really an answer to the asked question.

I tried that at some site and they wouldn't accept duplicate responses. Fortunately, I use a password app and just made up random crap for each of the questions.

360 Drudge is absolutely beclowning itself today with big headlines about the UK election -- in which he repeats every leftist lie and failed "October Surprise" attempt:

"UK DOWN TO THE WIRE
POLLSTIGHT
BORIS 'HIDES IN FRIDGE'
ANOTHER HUNG PARLIAMENT?"

The "polls tightened" in that the Tories went from a 12-point lead two weeks ago down to an 11-point lead on the final day. POLLS ARE TIGHTENING!!!

"Boris hides in fridge" is some ridiculous attempt at a "Gotcha!" moment in which Boris was delivering milk as a campaign stop, and Piers Morgan sent a reporter to harass him, and when Boris went into the refrigerated room to pick up some stuff to be delivered, Piers announced live on the air, "Boris is hiding in the fridge!!!" This within 90 seconds became the left's big meme of the day, conveniently ignoring the fact the Boris emerged from the fridge a minute later carrying bottles to the truck.

The "Hung parliament" headline derives from one outlier poll where in the most extreme worst-case-scenario, where the most anti-Tory "margin of error" possibility comes true, the Tories will lose getting a majority by a single seat -- and have to give a concession or two to some Welsh Party to continue governing.

Basically, the left is throwing the kitchen sink at Johnson, and missing completely -and even so, Drudge repeats all their memes unquestioningly.

Or at least the leftists he sold his site to are doing so.

392 360 Drudge is absolutely beclowning itself today with big headlines about the UK election -- in which he repeats every leftist lie and failed "October Surprise" attempt:

The last two presidents have ultimately had very little power over the party they once led. It's an interesting phenomenon that seems to indicate the disconnect between party leadership and the base.

I wonder if that would be a good way to analyze the strength of parties through history. How influential their former leaders are once they leave their formal positions.

Maybe the UK pollsters have all unfucked themselves... or maybe things will be close. I doubt people voting Labour have antisemitism as their number one priority, no matter what the media says. Megan Fox Says Her Kids Go To 'Vegan School,' Teaches Them Plants Have 'Feelings, Thoughts, And Emotions'

Actress Megan Fox says she and her husband send their three young boys to "an organic, sustainable, vegan school" and teach Journey, three, Bodhi, five, and Noah, seven, that plants have "feelings, thoughts and emotions."

"We send them to an organic, sustainable, vegan school where they're seed-to-table, they plant their own food," the "Transformers" star told People magazine during a charity outing with her husband on Monday. "They grow it, they harvest it and they take it to local restaurants to sell it, so they understand how all of that works."

"I'm very specific about never harming animals," continued Fox. "We don't step on ants; we don't do things like that. We don't rip flowers out of the ground, because we think they're beautiful. I teach them that plants are sentient beings -- they have feelings, thoughts and emotions -- so that's what we're doing."

Fox recalled an incident where one of her sons accidentally stepped on a bug and the family held a funeral for it.

The difference is that Clinton had leadership skills not evident in the others.

Consider the infamous press conference, where Obama left to take a dump or something, and he turned the conference over to Bill Clinton.

The room snapped out of its torpor and was instantly galvanized. You could feel the reaction in the room: "We're in good hands now." It's the same feeling students evince between bad and good lecturers. The change is almost palpable.

527 If you tax something, you generally get less of it. That logic undergirds a San Francisco ballot measure that would tax vacant storefronts in hopes of filling them with thriving retail businesses.

Supporters of the idea argue that the city is facing an epidemic of unused commercial space, caused in part by speculating landlords keeping empty units in the hopes of securing higher-paying tenants. Taxing vacant properties would encourage these landlords to get off the sidelines and give business tenants a chance, the thinking goes.

Barr also made a comment, I think on that part ... that "it is really awful what they did, if you look closely at it" (paraphrased).

But Barr also emphasized the "what can we prove?" part, and said the standard had been made higher for prosecutors, so that they were not just being used as bullies against (?) corporations or whomever. I think that was in the part about what to do about the internet giants ... which was also interesting.

But everything seems to be "we are making progress, we hope to have something within the next year" ...

The debacle of the EU elections, where Brexit put Conservatives third on the ballot, was an instructive lesson in what happens when you betray your constituency without costing them all that much electorally.

Since then, the same lesson about betrayal is likely to fall upon the Lib Dems and Labor, both of whom also promised to back the results of the referendum and lied about it and refused to hold an election to be voted out until now.

The Iranian Ferret doesn't have the brains for that either. She was merely the liaison for those who DO have the brains.

695 If plants have feelings, thoughs, and emotions it kinda undercuts the moral superiority of Veganism.
Posted by: Oldcat at December 11, 2019 03:35 PM (eoQWY)

Studies have shown that plants detect when they're under attack, which suggests the ability to feel pain.

Other studies have shown response to external stimuli - plants grow better in the presence of music (by genre, apparently they're metalheads).

That's not really different than lower order animals, and you're absolutely right in that it undermines the argument for vegetarianism.

696 Or it's evidence that some people aren't sentient.

697 Plants are definitely sentient. Otherwise, people wouldn't play classical music to them and swear they grow better.

Actually Mythbusters did do a thing on this, and found that any sound would do. Heavy metal was best of all.

I don't think they tried adding Val-u-Rite vodka

702 Plants are 'life'. How did they develop in a totally different direction than animals though both developed side by side.

There is almost 9 million different species of life on earth. There has to be a different explanation of the development of life besides evolution.

What I heard about the 'attack' stuff was that the circuit used for the detection of plant emotion was poorly designed and unreliable. I have not heard if it was redone with anything better since the heyday of that stuff in the 70s.

I have come to the conclusion that brains are in short supply thoughout our betters and that they have instead been coasting on people giving them the benefit of the doubt.

I think they've blown that last one.

706 I saw John Harwood on twitter spreading the Q poll showing that ALL, even Amy Klobuchar (!!!) beating Trump nationally with Trump at max 43%. On top of that, there were hundreds if not thousands of comments basically saying yes, this is true.

Imagine the stupidity it takes to believe that Biden, Buttbang and especially Klobuchar can beat Trump.

If you take every single person who has shown up to a Klobuchar event or donated to Klobuchar from the beginning of her political career to now, subtracted family and paid staffers, you still wouldn't fill 1/64th of Trump's single event THIS WEEK in Hershey.
