Adam Schiff: This Phone Record Proves that the OMB Called Rudy Giuliani. That Is All the Proof We Need That He Was Lobbying to Deny Ukraine Aid.
OMB: That's... That's not our phone number, dude
Adam Schiff: ...
Adam Schiff: But Russia

Instead of deploying Oliver Darcy to pressure FaceBook and YouTube into deplatforming Adam Schiff as a constant source of fake news from foreign sources, they instead promote his every false claim.

Who called Rudy Giuliani from the White House, and who took his calls in the administration? Those question have been buzzing around the White House after phone logs were released Wednesday detailing how President Trump's personal lawyer back-channeled diplomacy to Ukraine.

But the phone calls, a presidential spokesperson told RealClearPolitics, were not coming from inside the Office of Management and Budget: "No one from OMB has talked to Giuliani."

...

The report details phone calls and texts dating from last spring and summer, including a nearly 13-minute call on April 24 from an "OMB Phone Number." It is part of the evidence that Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff relied on to build his case for impeachment.

"This is not about Ukraine. This is about our democracy, this is about our security," Schiff said during a press conference after releasing the committee's impeachment report. "Americans should care deeply about whether the president of the United States is betraying their trust in him."

Senior administration officials reply that no one is betraying any trust. They tell RCP that Schiff must have the wrong number....

Apparently Schiff and his staff believe the 395 prefix that showed up on the phone records subpoenaed by House Democrats from AT&T and Verizon belongs only to phones in the OMB offices, something that Republican sources say isn't accurate.

Schiff is so concerned about using foreign sources to get dirt on domestic political opponents that when two men identifying themselves as Russian officials peddled him dirt on Trump, he was all too eager to set up a meeting.

The men turned out to be Ukrainian radio hosts pranking him, but obviously he didn't know that.

So there was Pencil-Neck Adam, trying to collude with Russia.

As the little pillow biter has lectured us for two weeks -- just because your collusion failed, doesn't mean it wasn't a crime to attempt it, and it doesn't mean you should not be subject to removal proceedings in the House.

One of my favorite things is the survival of various idioms, gags, shorthands, and the like beyond obsolescence. Not just "oh, the save icon is still a floppy disk?" but also things like clichés in comic strips, or how rabbits liking carrots came from a Bugs Bunny bit where he ate a carrot, and he ate the carrot directly parodying/homaging the way *Clark Gable* did in a (then fairly recent) movie.

So, yeah, Prince Albert In a Can is great. "Is your refrigerator running?" is also ok, but we still have refrigerators.

That might be a fun thread-- things that make no real sense now, but totally used to.

Snow on a tv screen.

That's a good one. Sometimes movies and TV shows accidentally date themselves really hard with what turns out to be a very ephemeral phenomenon.

Another random holdover: phone keypads and keyboard numberpads are arranged differently, because (IIRC) the keyboard evolved from the typewriter and calculator, but the phonekeys evolved from the rotary dial, so there was no real reason for them to be the same.

249 An Air Force veteran friend of mine might have some insight on Pensacola:

Heard on the radio that this dude was having some discipline problems and then the story made sense to me. Back when I was going through Able Crew Chief school at Sheppard AFB, in Texas, we had a Saudi Officer in our class. The guy was always late, sometimes didn't show up, and rarely paid attention in class.

One day when the dude was gone for the day we were bullshitting with the instructor and asked him why the AF doesn't do anything to discipline this fucker. His response was that a similar situation occurred a few years prior and the USAF actually reported back to his liaison in Saudi Arabia to let them know their student was fucking up. The Saudis promptly recalled him and executed him.

That is no joke, they were embarrassed and that dude was the cause so they offed him because, you know, Allah wills it or something. :dunno

So....USAF policy was to not report and of these fucktards.

If this guy at Pensacola was in trouble anyway I can kind of see the logic in his warped and fucked up mind. He's gonna go out anyway so why not Jihad some infidels.

IIRC correctly (digging deep here), Bell wanted to start charging for information/directory assistance when direct distance dialing became the norm. There was a regulatory kerfluffle because there was no way for people to look up a distant number, even though they could call it. I think the resolution was that they could charge for information, but had to furnish phone books out-of-market at no cost (e.g., you could call Bell and get a Boston directory sent to you even if you were in Omaha, etc.).

Filed a counterclaim making that precise point. Youtube replied: "Unfortunately, it's unclear to us whether you have a valid reason for filing a counter notification

"Your refusal to publish my clearly legal content constitutes an editorial decision."

"Your decision to limit dissemination of my content for subjective reasons constitutes an editorial decision"

We need to start sending these, recording these, accruing these types of notices to YouTube. If they assert they are not an editorial organization to avoid slander, that's their choice, but that does mean their standards for publishing have to be objective not subjective. It's time to build a case for thousands of slander lawsuits. Starting with YouTube is not simply a "platform" they are a selective publishing company and should be treated as such.

========

I like that. Start accusing these platforms of making an editorial decision and also submitting that to the FEC (since libs are SUPER into making election law violations into felonies) as well as to your congressman, local attorney general, and other fuckers.

The public has already declared the whole impeachment show as boring--offering more of the same in the future is hardly appetizing.

For non-partisans, trying to get them to vote for Dems on an impeachment now, impeachment forever is about as stupid a political program ever proposed. It ranks right up there with a vote for McCain is a Vote for Endless Wars in Obscure Places to spread democracy platform.

Church key needed to open a steel beer can.

symmetrical cans of food, so that, in a pinch, you could use the can opener to put a little hole in the bottom so you could blow the gelatinized food out.

sure, the new cans stack nice, but you can't open the bottom anymore. that was an important survival strategy back in the days when you might have had to worry about fallout contaminating the tops of the cans.

If he didn't pound shoe ... why would there be such a story from the 60s? Somebody would have called if out at the time ... we had a much more competitive press.

I needed a help, so i did a research on the internet and came across a site where I saw that Dr. Ojoka a spell caster, can help get lovers back. I contacted him and he did a special prayer and spells for me. To my surprises, after some days, my husband came back home. That was how we reunited again and there was a lot of love, joy and peace in the family.
