The numbers also pass a sanity check. Trump should always be polling at a minimum of 43% nationally and in battleground states. That is his unmovable base that has never abandoned him since January 2016.
Despite the constant hum of "Critical voting block X has abandoned him", the numbers rarely provide any evidence of that.
In 2016 the variable was always the support for Clinton. Trump was always 44-42% in every poll, Clinton would swing between 55 and 40 depending on the poll. We are seeing the same effect here.
The encouraging thing is that Trump is trending higher than that 43% base, up into the high 40s. A public swing of 5% toward him in a head to head is very positive and reflects that the core issue of the economy is resonating with voters, and the drummed up impeachment non-scandals are falling on deaf ears.
In a sane world that number would be more like 52%, but that is the real effect of the media in today's society.
Interesting that the one guy beating him in this poll is Booker. I wouldn't have guessed that. Might be a reflection that Booker is still a blank sheet of paper, no one knows anything negative about him in the general population.

I tried to read Cain at Gettysburg by Ralph Peters. I didn't get far and I do not recommend the book. Peters is a jagoff but I am talking about the book. I could not get past his unrealistic portrayals of soldiers and the way the spoke. The one good thing he did was spotlight the German units, that was a good idea, it was something new. Too bad the book was just not good. Tell the history, don't tell what you want to say and use those who are long gone to do it.

NICE - yeah I got there in time for the '88 NCAA champs, did my last 2.5 years there but mainly commuted from Overland Park while working almost full time. We enjoyed it there, been back a few times, just last August for the football opener for the new regime. About the same results lol.

It is also a lot easier to funnel your out of state donor money to one race at a time in single state elections for effect than do the same thing when 535 races nationally and many more locally are happening, with a presidential run on top of the ticket.

In their own army they were called "The Flying Dutchmen". That is a pretty funny epithet. Back then Americans often called Germans "Dutch". Same reason the Amish are called Pennsylvania Dutch.

My great great grandfather was an immigrant Sargeant in a Ohio artillery battery consisting of mostly Germans in the XI corps. The battery and its commander won a medal of Honor at Chancellorsville because when the XI corps was flanked and routed partly because they ignored the battery commander Dilger's assertion that Jackson was about to attack because he rode out and found them. Dilger set up his guns on the road and fired cannister into the forest and held them back until they worked around him in the forest, then he and his 100 men and 6 guns did it again, repeatedly.
At Gettysburg he did it again, after beating 2 rebel batteries with cannon fire the XI corps was flanked and driven back, and Dilger covered that retreat north of town and then took up station firing at the north end of town until the troops passed him. Then he set up on Cemetary Ridge for the next two days and helped break up Pickett's charge.
Before both of those, Dilger also helped delay Longstreet's attack at Second Bull Run while the flanked troops (not Germans this time) moved to the rear.
