The Morning Rant

"I'm running out of names with which to label our national media. It's difficult to come up with something contemptuous enough. I guess it's have to be "clown car media" for now until we can think up something better.

"So, last week, the clown car media covered itself in glory. Turns out that ABC knew all about Epstein's sexual predations, had the goods on him, and SPIKED THE STORY. We know this because James O'Keefe and Project Veritas caught a reporter on video complaining about it.

"So what does ABC do? Apologize for spiking an important story? Make a commitment to clean up its act so that something like that doesn't happen again? Go ahead and ran the story late? Why no, it did no such thing. Instead, the network devoted a bunch of resources to tracking down the leaker.

"Who was found. Working for CBS. So you know multiple media outlets were involved in the search, not just ABC.

"So, what does CBS do? Give the leaker recognition of her bravery to get the story out no matter what, some sort of "speaking truth to power" award? Oh dear no, they didn't do that.

"They fired her.

"And now, here's the good part. Are you ready for this? The person they found and fired for leaking the video WASN'T THE LEAKER. We know this because Project Veritas published a letter or e-mail written by the actual leaker who is still inside ABC.

"So, NBC punted the Weinstein story, ABC sat on the Epstein story, CBS bungled the CYA efforts by firing the wrong guy, and you'd think a case of media malfeasance this big would be picked up by other media outlets. But did CNN cover it? No. Did MSNBC cover it? No. Did the NY Times cover it? No. Did the WaPo cover it? No. None of them did. They just stood around with their thumbs up their butts pretending nothing ever happened. So when push comes to shove, the media circles the ~~wagons~~ clown cars."

5 Dawson's Creek was one of the series that really put The WB on the map, along with Buffy the Vampire Slayer and its spinoff, Angel. DC was criticized at the time on the grounds that "teenagers don't talk like the characters of Dawson's Creek." Well, no, they don't. But what these blinkered nitwits didn't get was that the dialog was the kind of dialog teenagers wish they could utter.

And the show gave us Michelle Williams and Joshua Jackson, too, both of whom have turned into good actors.

Oh, I don't know if they're bad at their jobs. They're pretty good political activists. And they're pretty awesome at covering up and ignoring the crimes of their executives. So they are competent at some things. Just not the things you'd expect.

gotta break a few warring tribal native eggs (and treaties) to make a United States of America republic. There may be some truth to that ... settlers largely came in peace, but the tribal allegiances of the "Indian nations" were mostly broken. The native Indians that maintained their culture, but did it within constitutional America... seem to have fared best, at maintaining a modernized identity (the ones from which Warren stole a seat at Harvard).

Those that stayed on reservations or took the Casino route ... imo have not really maintained their identity, they have sold it for government handouts. It might be somewhat comparable to what LBJ did to the MLK style black movement, that then became merely a pawn of the Democrats/commies, with a few sellout "chiefs" like Sharpton and Holder.

On a somewhat unrelated note, I have realized that the lawyers will bring Sharia to us if the Muz don't. Allow me to illustrate:

I work in commercial diving in the Gulf of Mexico and California. We are probably one of the least politically correct jobs on Earth, because gas physics and pipelines don't care how woke you are or how much you care about Gaia. It's like weightlifting-- you can either get it done or you can't.

But because of equal opportunity and feelz, we can't refuse to hire females despite them being, on average, marginal. So we've been bringing more females onto job sites and vessel in the last couple of years. The clients and boat companies have become more and more restrictive about housing them. Mostly, it's just that they have to have their own rooms. Okay, fine.

Couple of months ago we brought a crew, with a female, onto a boat. All the staterooms were two-person, so everyone was put with their opposite shift equivalent, so one person would be sleeping while the other was on shift. We roomed her opposite a male; got shot down. Boat company policy was a female and male couldn't room together even if they'd never be in the room at the same time.

Just finished a job last week on a barge; had a female with us. Barge company policy was she got her own bunk space (ok, no biggie, we all did), but also that any time she went to the bathroom a male from our crew had to go with her and post up outside the door like he was guarding the fucking Tower of London, just in case somebody on the crew decided to go stand in front of a gamma ray emitter and turn into Rape Hulk. It's only getting worse.
