Sefton: sefton at cutjibnewsletter.com | New York Times Reporter Had Public Records Proving Elizabeth Warren's Claim About Being Fired Due to Pregnancy False, But Refused to Report ItA reporter who now works for the New York Times failed to report on public records, which he obtained in April, that cut against Senator Elizabeth Warren's (D., Mass.) claim that she was fired from a teaching position in 1971 due to pregnancy discrimination. Reid Epstein, who was then working for the Wall Street Journal, filed an open-records request with the Riverdale Board of Education on April 2 seeking "to inspect or obtain" copies of public records relating to Warren’s time teaching at Riverdale during the 1970-1971 school year. In response to his request, Epstein on April 10 received school-board minutes that challenge Warre'’s story, according to documents obtained by National Review through the New Jersey Open Records Act. Epstein, who moved to the Times on April 19, never broke the story. Reached for comment, a Times spokeswoman said that the "records were inconclusive" and the potential story required further sourcing. After the Free Beacon got the scoop -- which was only possible because Reid Epstein chose not to publish a story that would hurt a Democrat candidate -- the New York Times published a story, featuring Reid Epstein as a contributor, which claimed that... Elizabeth Warren's story was sort of true, despite being false, because... other women had been fired due to pregnancy? The Times' reporting frames the story around "the discrimination that many pregnant women have faced on the job" and highlights Warren's statement, which dismissed the evidence gathered by the Beacon as lacking in context. And the left fights for more gate-keeping by social media monopolies to censor stories they deem "false" or "misleading." But you can see they think any story that hurts Democrats or socialism is false or misleading, because it diverts people away from their Glorious Socialist Future. If the left had its way, the Free Beacon would not have been permitted to run their story. This is an attempt at actual totalitarianism. They want to do it. The social media monopolists want to do it too. They're just not sure they can get away with it yet. Comments(Jump to bottom of comments)1

... Our media lies happily and voluntarily, delusionally thinking they are championing the truth. ... Posted by: LGoPs the former boyscout who now shouts Broken Arrow!, Broken Arrow! at November 01, 2019 01:14 PM (mNUzX) +++++++++++ The truth doesn't enter into the equation. They have all signed on to hyphenated variants of so-call "justice" - "social justice" or "economic justice" or "environmental justice" or whatever. All of these hyphenations are, of course, not justice at all. They are injustice because they must be by definition. Justice is neutral (it's implementation is not, but the ideal state of the blindfolded woman holding the scales is the ideal of neutral justice). Modifying it makes it non-neutral and therefore non-justice. But they have all subscribed to injustice as their fundamental operational precept. Truth doesn't matter, only their variant of injustice matters. Their delusion is not that that they are being truthful, but that they are being just. This is far more dangerous and far harder to fix. A man who thinks he knows the truth but has it wrong is merely ignorant. He can be taught. A man who disregards the truth because it conflicts with his vision of justice is not ignorant, he is evil. I don't know if you can teach away evil once it sets in. Posted by: Joe Mannix (Not a cop!) at November 01, 2019 01:19 PM (I2dne) 54

In the present, people visualize a sort of post-apocalyptic meltdown when society disintegrates, but that who are "based" and can't give any more fucks treat the whole anarchic social collapse as an opportunity to get medieval -- but comically medieval -- on the traitors and running dogs who will serve as entertainment at Mad-Max-Esque retribution barbecues. I think most of the public at one time looked at the media like a "home team" referee, maybe tips the scales from time to time but most of the game is offiiciated fairly. Now they know it's just a total propaganda machine that doesn't care one bot about accuracy or truth. A bunch of wrestling youtubers had their little hissy fits originally about the Saudi Arabia shows because women couldn't perform. Posted by: Chi-Town Jerry https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Boogaloo "Boogaloo or bugalú (also: shing-a-ling, Latin boogaloo, Latin R&B) is a genre of Latin music and dance which was popular in the United States in the 1960s. Boogaloo originated in New York City mainly among teenage Latinos. The style was a fusion of popular African American rhythm and blues (R&B) and soul music with mambo and son montuno, with songs in both English and Spanish. The American Bandstand television program introduced the dance and the music to the mainstream American audience. Pete Rodríguez's "I Like It like That"[1] was a famous boogaloo song. Except for the name, the dance is unrelated to the Boogaloo street dance done in Oakland, Calif. and the electric boogaloo, a style of dance which developed decades later under the influence of funk music and hip-hop dance." So they depend on their friends/family who do have the time and the inclination. Some of them really have a good instinct about what's going on. I'd say they ARE doing it, but are occasionally being caught. And besides the blatant lies we wise one at AoS see, there are the subtle ways ... like "well yes Trump is rude, dumb, lies a lot, knows nothing about the economy, but at least he fights" That kinda crap is such a backhanded fake compliment ... Trump fights for the basics of conserving the country, something the credential fake conservatives talk around, or even talk down. But even for Trump supporters, many fall into disdain over Trump being such a terrible person. The shadow banning and more discrete methods of undermining conservatives is ongoing. They ARE getting away with it, every day all day. Some should be convicted for participating in the coup, being the propaganda arm for anti-America DeepState coup plots, which are largely PsyOp and DisInfo campaigns, still run from the inside. Bill Kristol@BillKristol "Trump is the most aspirationally authoritarian figure ever to hold the presidency and the reason things aren'=t worse is that he's incompetent, and our government was designed with more antibodies to authoritarianism than your replacement-level democracy." These people....they just say things. This is why I almost never talk politcs with most people, because when you say something like above that is so untethered from reality....where do you begin to even talk about what they have said. Let's face it. They hate Trump not because totalitarian or incompetent, just that they view him as low class. They just don't remember that every rooted for Al Cervic and against Judge Smeals.
